使用穿戴裝置實現即時相對方向定位 / Real-time relative directional positioning using wearable devices

蔡育銓, Tsai,Yua Chan Unknown Date (has links)
In recent years, wearable-related applications are flourishing, especially in virtual-real integrated art performance, such as “Rise of the Planet of the Apes”. However, most of the virtual-real integrated contents are pre-recorded based on the script, and the performer needs a lot of practice to make the integration perfect. Moreover, if we want to make special effect based on the relative directional positions of two performers, the pre-recorded approach is not suitable. One way to tackle this problem is to use the high-quality camera to detect the body posture or position. But the accuracy is usually limited in light intensity or obstacles. In this thesis, we propose a real-time relative directional positioning approach using wireless wearable devices to solve this problem. We use Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) of BLE, combined with IMU sensors to track two performers’ relative directional positions. The RSSI fluctuates and the IMU causes accumulated errors. We invent the concept of “reliable level” of RSSI measures to periodically correct the IMU errors. We experiment the scenario of two-person dance to validate the accuracy, and the result is satisfactory. We also use Unity to real-time render the human skeleton for comparison with the two dancers’ motion. In the future, our developed scheme can be used in the art performance to make the content richer and more interactive.

Integration of UAVS with Real Time Operating Systems and Establishing a Secure Data Transmission

NIRANJAN RAVI (7013471) 16 October 2019 (has links)
In today’s world, the applications of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) systems are leaping by extending their scope from military applications on to commercial and medical sectors as well. Owing to this commercialization, the need to append external hardware with UAV systems becomes inevitable. This external hardware could aid in enabling wireless data transfer between the UAV system and remote Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) using low powered architecture like Thread, BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy). The data is being transmitted from the flight controller to the ground control station using a MAVlink (Micro Air Vehicle Link) protocol. But this radio transmission method is not secure, which may lead to data leakage problems. The ideal aim of this research is to address the issues of integrating different hardware with the flight controller of the UAV system using a light-weight protocol called UAVCAN (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Controller Area Network). This would result in reduced wiring and would harness the problem of integrating multiple systems to UAV. At the same time, data security is addressed by deploying an encryption chip into the UAV system to encrypt the data transfer using ECC (Elliptic curve cryptography) and transmitting it to cloud platforms instead of radio transmission.

My-Direct: um Middleware para desenvolvimento de redes sociais móveis P2P

Santos, Luiz Marcus Monteiro de Almeida 25 February 2014 (has links)
In recent years, middleware for mobile social network has attracted the attention of academia, causing the design and development of various approaches by researchers. This type of middleware facilitates and makes more efficient the development process of mobile social networking applications. Furthermore, middleware solutions also abstract the communication process with others applications, allowing the acquisition, persistence and reuse of social context information and location of users, besides providing API so that developers can access this information quickly and build new social applications. With a view to supporting this new trend of research, this thesis proposes a middleware for mobile social networking, called My-Direct, which makes use of Wi-Fi Direct technology together with the Bluetooth, aiming to provide flexible communication between the nodes of the mobile social network. Along with My-Direct also was be created a mechanism for user privacy based on information available on mobile device, so that the execution of social activities occurs just between partners with some degree of affinity.

PDA software pro robotický fotbal / PDA software for robot soccer

Uhlíř, Luděk January 2008 (has links)
Robotic soccer is a game like a real soccer but here the game is played by robots. The rules are the same, only there are few exceptions (foul, penalty kick, stalemate situation). Game is running without the human intervention. Just a human referee is supervising the game. Two teams are attending the game. Each of them has a control computer. The control computer is the brain of the game. It has a camera, it is making decisions for the next step of robots and sending them configuration data. The thesis deals with testing of communication interface and designs the new communication protocol for the next generation of the robots. The testing is provided by pocket pc Palm TX. It will send data over the Bluetooth interface to the control pc and will configure particular constants, like constants of PID regulator and an address of a robot. This will be provided by the IrDA interface.

Designing and experimenting with e-DTS 3.0

Phadke, Aboli Manas 29 August 2014 (has links)
Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) / With the advances in embedded technology and the omnipresence of smartphones, tracking systems do not need to be confined to a specific tracking environment. By introducing mobile devices into a tracking system, we can leverage their mobility and the availability of multiple sensors such as camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Inertial sensors. This thesis proposes to improve the existing tracking systems, enhanced Distributed Tracking System (e-DTS 2.0) [19] and enhanced Distributed Object Tracking System (eDOTS)[26], in the form of e-DTS 3.0 and provides an empirical analysis of these improvements. The enhancements proposed are to introduce Android-based mobile devices into the tracking system, to use multiple sensors on the mobile devices such as the camera, the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth sensors and inertial sensors and to utilize possible resources that may be available in the environment to make the tracking opportunistic. This thesis empirically validates the proposed enhancements through the experiments carried out on a prototype of e-DTS 3.0.

Koexistence mobilních komunikačních systémů WLAN a Bluetooth / WLAN and Bluetooth Systems Coexistence

Mikulka, Jan January 2009 (has links)
The dissertation thesis deals with a WLAN and Bluetooth systems coexistence. A Bluetooth standard works in an unlicensed frequency band 2,402 – 2,480 GHz. This frequency band is also used by an IEEE 802.11b/g standard (Wi-Fi) which is the most extended representative of WLAN networks. Because Bluetooth and Wi-Fi systems operate in the same frequency band, a mutual signal degradation may appear, when devices are collocated in the same area. In the first part of the dissertation thesis there is a brief summary of 2,402 - 2,480 GHz frequency band regulations and its usage. There are described physical layers of Bluetooth and IEEE 802.11b/g standards and techniques used for a collision avoidance. The main part of the dissertation thesis deals with a development of a new Matlab Simulink model for investigations of the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi standards coexistence. Physical layer models and results of the coexistence simulations are verified by a measurement in real conditions with a help of a modern vector signal analyzer. The results are presented in a graphical form and a brief summary is attached at the end of each chapter. Corresponding tables of simulated and measured values are available in the enclosed CD.

Mobiliųjų paslaugų portalų technologijų tyrimas / Research of mobile portals technologies

Najulis, Mindaugas 03 June 2005 (has links)
Information technologies and mobile telecommunications rapidly enter our personal and social life. Mobile phone is no longer luxury – it has become a necessity. Growing volumes of the mobile services has caused a need to expand the mobile service employment opportunities in the Internet portals. Today’s portals, created using the means, offered by software manufacturers, employ exclusively the mobile Internet service, thanks to which the users can see and manage the necessary information and process of the portal at any time and from anywhere. The problem is related with the fact that mobile Internet services are still expensive in Lithuania. Therefore one should look for cheaper ways to reach and manage portal information. In order to solve this problem one can consider the SMS and MMS message sending, suggested by mobile technologies. Basic aim of the work is to create an entertainment portal, rendering the user both various Internet entertainments (e.g. Internet acquaintances, games), and mobile entertainment (e.g. sending messages, logos, melodies, animations and games for mobile phone) as well as a wide range of mobile services to be used to obtain and to manage the portal information. In the work I describe: portal evolution, classification and creation measures („BroadVision Portal“, „IBM WebSphere Portal for Multiplatforms v5.x“, „Sun One Portal Server v6.0“, „Red Hat Enterprise Portal Server“, „Microsoft SharePoint® Portal Server 2003“, „ORACLE 9ias Portal“, „PHP:...
