Maxgate : En skandalstudie i normperspektiv

Hyving, Elin January 2014 (has links)
The purpose of this qualitative text analysis is to investigate the ideals of society, and the underlying norms. In web-based public debates social ideals concerning power and politics as well as the normative boundaries between private life, working life and Swedish party politics are made clear. Looking into said debates therefore makes it possible to see which aspects of “Maxgate” are upsetting to the public. By showing what creates the collective outrage, what was formerly invisible social ideals and norms can be revealed. This study also aims to cast light upon tensions within social ideals and how norms are interpreted differently, although described in the same way. The theoretical foundation of the study is Durkheim's sociology of morals, and I work on the supposition that there is a collective morale with a based on social ideals and norms. In the analysis and discussion of the material it is revealed which social ideals and norms are brought up in the scandal, and how these are interpreted by the participants in the debates. A conclusion that can be made from this study is that, although people endorse the ideals and norms investigated in the study, it is not given that they interpret them the same way, or that they would act similarly.

Armed religious conflicts – Fundamentalismand terrorism : An interview study of how teachers of religionand religion teacher trainees use and reasonabout the concepts of fundamentalism andterrorism in teaching situations

Karlsson, Jonas, Lundström Rova, Ludwig January 2014 (has links)
This paper’s main goal is to study how religious studies teachers and religious studies teacherstudents reason concerning armed religious conflicts, with fundamentalism and terrorism ascentral concepts. The study does this with the use of semi-structured interviews. The resultsare analyzed with a phenomenographic analysis with the interviewees’ understanding of thecentral concepts being the target of the interviews. The point being that they should deliberateand reason regarding the concepts and how these could be implemented in religious studies inupper secondary school. From the results of the study it is possible to see that the intervieweespossesses good understanding for the central concepts and how these could be used ineducation on armed religious conflicts. The factor that governed whether central conceptswould be brought up during the interviewees’ teaching or not, was the notably smalltimeframe they felt limiting education in religious studies in upper secondary school.

Subsequent research centered on totally ordered abelian groups. We generalize the results in [2], [3] and [5] to extend it to the case of discrete lattice-ordered abelian groups. In particular given a hereditary subsemigroup H+ of G+ we introduce a closed ideal IH+ of the C*-algebra BG+. We construct an approximate identity for this ideal and show that IH+ is extendibly a-invariant. It follows that there is an isomorphism between C*-crossed products (BG+/IH+) XɑG+ and B(G/H)+ XβG+. This leads to one of our main results that B(G/H)+ XβG+ is realized as an induced C*-algebra IndG-H (B(G/H+ Xt(G/H)+). Then we use this result to show the existence of the following short exact sequence of C*-algebras 0-IH+ XɑG+ → BG+ XɑG+ → IndG-H (B(G/H+ Xt(G/H)+) → 0. This leads to show that the ideal IH+ XɑG+ is generated by {iBG+(1-1u):u∊H+} and therefore contained in the commutator ideal CG of the C*-algebra BG+ XɑG+. Moreover, we use our short exact sequence to study the primitive ideals of the C* algebra BG+ XɑG+ which is isomorphic to the Toeplitz albebra T(G) of G.

Δακουρά, Μαρία 20 October 2010 (has links)
Στο ℤ μπορούμε από δύο αριθμούς a,b να ορίσουμε τον μέγιστο κοινό διαιρέτη (ΜΚΔ) αυτών, (a,b), το γινόμενό τους ab και το ελάχιστο κοινό πολλαπλάσιο (ΕΚΠ) αυτών, [a,b]. / Commutative ring has its origins in number theory its origins in number theory and algebraic geometry in the 19th century. Today it is of particular importance in algebraic geometry, and there has been an interesting interaction of algebraic geometry and number theory, using the methods of commutative algebra. Here we can do no more than describe the basic techniques and take the first steps in the first steps in the subject. Throughout this chapter all rings will be commutative, unless otherwise stated. The central concept of the axiomatic development of linear algebra is that of a vector space over a field. The axiomatization of linear algebra, which was effected in the 1920’s, was motivated to a large extend by the desire to introduce geometric notions in the study of certain classes of functions in analysis. At first one dealt exclusively with vector spaces over the reals or the complexes. It soon became apparent that this restriction was rather artificial , since a large body of the results depended only on the solution of linear equations and thus were valid for arbitrary fields. This led to the study of vactor spaces over arbitrary fields and this is what presently constitutes linear algebra. The concept of a module is an immediate generalization of that of a vector space. One obtains the generalization by simply replacing the underlying field by any ring.In the first place, one learns from experience that the internal logical structure of mathematics strongly urges the pursuit of such ‘natural’ generalizations. These often result in an improved insight into the theory which led to them in the first place. The easiest way to define a module is to say that it is an algebraic system that satisfies the same axioms as a vector space except that the scalars come from a ring R with a 1 instead of from a field F. This seemingly modest generalization leads to an algebraic structure that is of the greatest importance. We use here the term R-module, it being understood that the scalars are written on the left. Historically the first ring to studied was the ring Z of integers, the term ‘ring’ was first used by Hilbert (1897) in his ‘Zahlbericht’ for a ring of algebraic integers. In Z every ideal is principal, in fact ideals were first introduced (by Kummer) as ‘ideal numbers’ in rings of algebraic integers which lacked unique factorization. In Z we can from any two numbers a,b form their highest common factor (HCF, also greatest common divisor, GCD) (a,b), their product ab and their least common multiple (LCM) [a,b]. These operations correspond to operations on ideals in any ring. Valuation theory may be described as the study of divisibility (in commutative rings) in its purest form, but that is only one aspect. The general formulation leads to the introduction of topological concepts like completion, which provides a powerful tool. It also emphasizes the parallel with the absolute value on the real and complex numbers. After the initial definitions we shall prove the essential uniqueness of the absolute value on R and C, and go on to describe the p-adic numbers, before looking at simple cases of the extension problem.

#Kroppsuppfattning : En socialpsykologisk studie om hur unga individer upplever den egna kroppen när de använder Instagram / #Body image : a social psychological study about about how young individuals experiences their own body when they use Instagram

Andersson, Caroline, Hermansson, Annika January 2018 (has links)

Constructing the ideal youth recreation leader : A Foucault inspired analysis

Ruschkowski, Andreas January 2018 (has links)
Youth recreation centres in Sweden are significant venues for youth to engage in meaningful activities, as a way to counteract increased segregation and social tension. The professionals promoting young people’s social inclusion and fostering positive personal development in this context, are youth recreation leaders. Since young people’s informal learning is construed in relation to youth recreation centre attendance, a question of these leaders’ professionalism is actualized. What knowledge and competencies are needed - and valued as important - to be a ‘good’ youth recreation leader? The aim of this thesis is to explore how the youth recreation leader is shaped and governed through discourses on youth recreational work. How is the discourse shaped, and what kind of subjectivity emerges through it? Drawing on Michel Foucault’s concepts discourse, subjectivity, governmentality, and technologies of power and the self, the thesis analyses policy texts on youth recreation leader education and professional practice, as well as youth recreation leader educators’ talk about the youth recreation leader. The analysis illustrates how four subject positions emerge and are made possible through current discourses on youth recreational work - the democratic, relational, recreation-anchored, and reflective youth recreation leader. These subjectivities are enmeshed in power-relations through which they are fostered into governing themselves and others, i.e. the conduct of conduct. Government operates, for example, through students’ use of portfolios and personal reflection as confession.
