This study aims to understand and point out these improvements in order to provide the basis for defining requirements for the product development of the road transport sector, focusing on the seats of jobs drivers. After presenting the theoretical foundation, we performed experimental research, which was divided into two stages. The first consisted of structured interviews, in which respondents were 07 (seven) designers of a bus company in order to understand the relationship of the ergonomic design of the seats in projetual drivers factors. It has also developed a research observation, in the same company, on the process of development of housing for the driver, in order to ascertain technically armchair. The second stage consisted of a brazilian anthropometric metrics and analysis, applied in 08 (eight) drivers, in order to verify the average measures of these workers compared to standard measures used in Brazilian projects passenger compartment of the bus drivers, this step also a questionnaire was applied, seeking to identify the basic ergonomic factors in the interaction with your seat to another job. In this work it was possible to identify the differences between theory and practice (market), highlighting the needs imposed on effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction drivers in interaction with their working tool and the relation of design in relation to daily activities of these drivers who perform their work long hours of travel including: the need to move the seat horizontally to put up and out of the seat , too many repetitive movements, coat the plastic seat causing discomfort due to sweating, postural problems and other factors related to the job of the driver. / A busca pela melhoria no design de produtos vai ao encontro a busca pela qualidade de vida dos usuários. O presente estudo visa entender e apontar estas melhorias, a fim de oferecer subsídios à definição de requisitos para o desenvolvimento de produtos do setor transporte rodoviário, com enfoque nos assentos de postos de trabalho de motoristas. Após a apresentação da fundamentação teórica, realizou-se a pesquisa experimental, na qual foi divida em duas etapas. A primeira consistiu em entrevistas estruturadas, em que foram entrevistados 07 (sete) designers, de uma empresa carroceira, a fim de entender a relação dos fatores ergonômicos na concepção projetual dos assentos dos motoristas. Foi também desenvolvida uma pesquisa de observação, na mesma empresa, sobre o processo de desenvolvimento do habitáculo do motorista, a fim de averiguar tecnicamente a poltrona. A segunda etapa consistiu em uma análise antropométrica e métricas brasileiras, aplicada em 08 (oito) motoristas, com a finalidade de verificar a média das medidas destes trabalhadores comparativamente ao padrão das medidas brasileiras utilizados nos projetos de habitáculos de motoristas de ônibus, nesta etapa também foi aplicado um questionário, buscando apontar os fatores ergonômicos básicos na interação com seu assento de posto de trabalho. Neste trabalho foi possível identificar as diferenças entre a teoria e prática (mercado), evidenciando as necessidades aplicadas na eficácia, eficiência e satisfação dos motoristas na interação com seu instrumento de trabalho e a relação do design com relação às atividades diárias destes motoristas que realizam seu trabalho em longas jornadas de viagens que incluem: necessidade de deslocar o banco no sentido horizontal para colocar-se e sair do assento, número excessivo de movimentos repetitivos, revestimento do assento de material sintético ocasionando desconforto devido à transpiração; problemas posturais entre outros fatores relacionados ao posto de trabalho do condutor.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / This dissertation approaches how Uberlândia s bus drivers and conductors work and live. In order to discuss these subjects the newspapers Correio de Uberlândia, Primeira Hora and some issues of the Trasncol s internal bulletin, called Transcolito, were analysed. Some interviews with trasnport workers were recorded. In these interviews, they talked about their work and life experiences. These interviews allow the construction of many interpretations about their own life as workers in the historical process (period 1980-2004). The group of bus drivers and conductors interviewed is formed by immigrants that arrived in Uberlândia from 1980 s to the beginning of 1990 s booking for better life and work conditions. The work reality in urban transport is troulbesome. The bus trasnportation is organized by Uberlândia´s city hall, but is performed by private enterprises and used by poor citizens. Then, the urban transport is involved in a complex social dynamic. On the otherhand, the profits are the central goal. Because of this the works start to face exploiting work conditions. They work overtime and they are controlled by many different ways like the eletronic ratchet. Finally the passangers are also dannaged in their transportation need around the urban space. Despite they can be, some times, friends of the conductors and bus drivers. / Esta dissertação aborda o trabalho e a vida de motoristas e cobradores do transporte coletivo urbano de Uberlândia. Para o seu desenvolvimento foram realizadas pesquisas nos jornais Correio de Uberlândia, Primeira Hora e em algumas edições do informativo interno da empresa Transcol, chamado Transcolito. Foram gravadas entrevistas orais com trabalhadores do transporte, onde eles relatam as suas experiências de vida e de trabalho em Uberlândia, possibilitando interpretações sobre suas trajetórias como sujeitos sociais que vivem processos históricos onde se constituem como trabalhadores. O período pesquisado estendeu-se do ano de 1980 a 2004. O grupo de motoristas e cobradores entrevistados para essa pesquisa é composto por migrantes, que chegaram à Uberlândia nas décadas de 1980 e inicio de 1990 buscando melhores condições de vida e trabalho e que encontraram no setor de transporte possibilidades de manter a vida nesta cidade. O cotidiano de trabalho no transporte mostrou-se cercado de conflitos. Ele é um meio de locomoção organizado pela Prefeitura Municipal de Uberlândia, oferecido por empresas privadas, garantido por motoristas e cobradores e utilizados por moradores de baixa renda da cidade. O transporte é realizado dentro de uma dinâmica complexa onde se configura o interesse de mostrá-lo como organizado, moderno e dinâmico. Por outro lado, a lucratividade torna-se o principal objetivo. Impõe-se aos trabalhadores do setor formas de trabalho exploratórias. A exploração materializa-se em longas jornadas e em diferentes formas de controle sobre seu trabalho, como é o caso das catracas eletrônicas, que afetam as relações familiares e de sociabilidades e alimentam expectativas de mudanças. Por fim, os passageiros surgem nessa conjuntura muitas vezes como sujeitos prejudicados na sua necessidade de circulação pelo espaço urbano, mas também, algumas vezes, como companheiros dos trabalhadores do transporte. / Mestre em História

AsDu Toit, Martina Petronella a result, there is a need for preventative measures by identifying the psychomotor abilities of bus drivers during the recruitment and selection process of employment. The study was conducted among 398 bus drivers employed by a large bus company. The Vienna Test Battery was administered. It was found that distance estimation, ability to recognize forms and figures, concentration ability, eye-hand feet coordination and two-hand coordination predicted the effectiveness of bus drivers successfully. It is suggested that further research should focus on client services, attitude of bus drivers and learning potential, as factors that influence the effectiveness of bus drivers. / Industrial psychology / M.A. (Industrial Psychology)

A função de conduzir ônibus é exercida majoritariamente por homens. Porém, cada vez mais, mulheres adentram nessa profissão e ali sentem os tabus, os desafios e as alegrias da profissão. Desta forma o objetivo desta pesquisa foi analisar as condições de acesso e permanência das mulheres como condutoras de ônibus em Curitiba e Região Metropolitana, com olhar voltado às conquistas, dificuldades, limites, desafios que estas mulheres enfrentam para acessar e permanecer na profissão. Como metodologia de pesquisa se adotou a qualitativa, utilizando como técnica de pesquisa a entrevista semiestruturada, na qual foram entrevistadas 20 mulheres condutoras de ônibus, atuantes em Curitiba e Região Metropolitana. As entrevistas ocorreram nos meses de maio e junho de 2017. Para análise dos dados utilizamos o método de Análise de Conteúdo, no qual observamos que a inserção e permanência nessa profissão é permeada por contradições, e, embora seja perceptível o alto grau de empoderamento das motoristas, elas ainda são submetidas a inúmeros desafios no que tange as relações de poder praticadas pelos motoristas do sexo masculino. Há relatos de situações em que as motoristas se utilizam de estratégias para relevar ou ficar indiferente às investidas discriminatórias como forma de não se indispor no trabalho. Outrossim demonstram ter, na atuação profissional, a igualdade de capacidade para condução dos veículos e bem desempenhar a profissão. Os resultados desta pesquisa poderão possibilitar ações para maior inserção das mulheres nesta profissão. / The function of driving a bus is exercised mainly by men. However, more and more, women enter this profession and there feel the taboos, challenges and joys of the profession. In this way the objective of this research was to analyze the conditions of access and permanence of women as bus drivers in Curitiba and Metropolitan Region, with a view to the achievements, difficulties, limits, challenges that these women face to access and remain in the profession. As a research methodology, a qualitative approach was adopted, using as a research technique the semi-structured interview, in which 20 bus drivers, who worked in Curitiba and Metropolitan area, were interviewed. The interviews took place in May and June of 2017. In order to analyze the data we used the Content Analysis method, in which we observed that the insertion and permanence in this profession is permeated by contradictions, and although the high degree of empowerment of drivers, they are still subjected to numerous challenges regarding the power relations practiced by male drivers. There are reports of situations in which drivers use strategies to relieve or be indifferent to discriminatory assaults as a way of not being upset at work. In addition, they demonstrate that they have the same level of capacity to drive their vehicles and perform their profession. The results of this research may enable actions to increase the insertion of women in this profession.
