Mytologická a sémiotická rovina vybraných plakátů z období Třetí Říše / Mythological and semiotic niveau of the chosen posters of the Third reich

Fulková, Andrea January 2015 (has links)
This thesis deals with the poster of the Nazi Third Reich and the ideology shaped by the images and text communication, which it presents. The work looks at the poster as an important medium of communication that served Nazi propaganda to spread National Socialist ideology. This thesis aims to analyse these myths and debunk them in the way how Roland Barthes defines them in his book Mythologies. The author of the diploma thesis applies the traditional method of qualitative research of the media content - mythological and semiotic analysis - to demystify the myths and semiotic characters used in the selected Nazi posters. The first part of the thesis contains terminology, the second part presents the analysis of the individual posters, which are divided into several groups. In the conclusion of the thesis, the author presents a list of common symbols and myths, which are the result of the analysis.

Twelve years of professionalization : A qualitative study of Sverigedemokraterna’s professionalisation ofelection posters.

Dahlberg, Anna, Forslund, Elsa January 2019 (has links)
Election posters are an old traditional medium for political parties to reach out with their communication. Despite the new approaches to reach out with political communication thanks to digitalization, election posters are still a relevant medium despite having been used for a long time. Sverigedemokraterna are a relatively "young" party. They became interesting for this study as they have their roots in nazism and therefrom quickly grew to become Sweden's third largest party. This study presents an analysis of Sverigedemokraterna’s professionalization of electionposters during the electoral campaigns 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2018. A total of fifteen electionposters were analyzed, all of which were included in Sverigedemokraterna’s electioncampaigns during four different electoral movements. The purpose of this study is to investigate the importance of professionalization of politics for Sverigedemokraterna’s visualpolitical communication, in form of their election posters. From this, questions at issue were formulated to answer the purpose: How has the communication through election posters from Sverigdemokraterna changed from 2006 to 2018? and How has the professionalization of visual political communication shown in Sverigedemokraternas election posters? The election posters in this study are processed on the basis of a qualitative textanalysis and with focus on one party. The qualitative textanalysis is based on a semiotic analysis, where a analysis model is used. The analysis model is a composition of 5 themes, 14 categories and 1 subcategory. The results of the study have primarily been analyzed with the help of previous research by Nicklas Håkansson, Bengt Johansson and Orla Vigsø (2014), who are often seen as references in connection with studies of election posters. The theories of political communication and professionalization form the basis of this study. The result of the analysis has been applied to a four time period in the development of the election posters and the conclusion shows that Sverigedemokraterna has gone through a change in the professionalization of election posters between 2006 and 2018, though for shorter periods than the four time periods of election posters. It is a change that has been adapted in line with developments in society, including in the form of digital development and the development of specialist professions in marketing and visual communication. The professionalization has also shown through the normalization of the party. The change inSverigedemokraterna’s communication in election posters has among other things been shown in their use of clear messages and strong opinions in their election posters to that their message has become more and more abstract and that they no longer need to argue for their cause. Their opinions have been normalized to the point that they no longer need to convince voters and other parties with their election posters.

The poster, in the society in the process of mediatization, detaches itself even more from the physical support of the cardboard and shows itself as an element of entry and performance in the contemporary manifestations occurring in Brazil and in the world. In this thesis, the poster studied is the one used and appropriate in recent manifestations, most punctually in June 2013, in Brazil. In the ambiences where it passes, the poster is adapted and registered according to the techniques, rules and intentions of each space: street / square - digital social networks / virtual space - traditional media / audience. Being physical support, being image, being posted or its content being transformed into hashtag, the ambiences are marked in the passage of the poster. And, in addition to being a physical medium, the poster contains a message consisting of interaction and circulation. Managing the circulation, the senses circulate and the poster appears as a circulating sign. The thesis is, in this sense, an effort to register understanding about discursive circulation and mediated ambiences of this circulation. The work is theoretically referenced from authors who deal with the topic of mediatization and its logics, circulation, flows and ambiences, in particular, some of the professors who give support to Research Line 4 of the Program of which this research is inscribed are: Ferreira (2006, 2007, 2012, 2013, 2016), Braga (2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2007, 2006), Fausto Neto (2015, 2010, 2008) e Rosa (2014, 2012).. Faced with the need to highlight the poster, Moles (2004) was specially the reference. The question Semiotics that runs through the research is based on Peirce (2007,2005) and Bakhtin (1997,1992), from which their conceptions approach, namely, the value of the sign beyond the object it represents and that at the same time contains it - this approximation was possible through Santaella (1994) and Santaella and Nörth (2004). Véron (2013, 2005, 1997) is the author who allows the relation between semiotics and circulation. And by Mata (1992) are outlined the spaces of ambience of the circulation of the poster. Thus, the theoretical and methodological pretension of this thesis is to register a social experience of production of circuits of circulation and marking of mediatized ambiences, from the use and appropriation of the poster in the Manifestations of June of 2013, in Brazil.

Les pratiques d'affichage : points communs et variations selon les disciplines et les modes de travail pédagogiques / Poster practices : common points and variations according to the disciplines and the pedagogies

Dufour, Marie 06 January 2016 (has links)
This thesis research questions the material dimension of practices, especially that concerning the teaching and learning tools that are posters. The topic of my research is built into the analysis of the speech of teachers and the pupils. I try to identify their representations and views of the poster, as they say the practice, as they invest themselves according to the teaching methods they implement. The characterization of the poster practices according to the practical school subjects contribute to modeling in teaching and institutional spaces, in one of textbooks, teaching practices and pupils practices.

Items affecting comparability in the financial statement : A quantitative study of the development in Sweden 2005-2010, its causes and the implications for financial statement users

Malmqvist, Daniel, Arndt, Moritz January 2011 (has links)
The thesis investigates the phenomenon of items affecting comparability and its development in 30 Swedish companies during the period 2005-2010. It further tries to answer the question of how these items affect different groups of financial statements users. Previous research indicates that managers have incentives to take a “big bath” during crises. To answer the questions both a quantitative research by examining 180 annual reports and a qualitative containing three interviews has been conducted. The result reveals an increase of reported items affecting comparability costs during 2008 and 2009. Managers engage in “big bath” accounting as well as accounting for cutting down on the extra capacity that emerges during recessions. The impact this has on the users of financial statements varies, where some find it to be an important issue, others see it as a minor problem. The small sample used made the study fragile for extreme values. In order to make more conclusive conclusions a larger sample would be necessary.
