The research had as objective to analyze the image of Northeast that is built over the musical production of those groups. That production is characterized by the hybridization of rhythms and timbers of the traditional musicality, with elements of a globalized culture, like, for instance, the use of electronic instruments and rhythms as jazz, rock, funk, reggae and ska. The theoretical-methodological way that was used was inspired by the Cultural Studies and by some elements of the Semiotics. The research demonstrated that those groups are building a new image of the Northeast area, that follows the contemporary articulations among the Northeast, Brazil and the New World Economical Order, likewise the intensified tourist flows. The contemporary musical scene of the city was characterized as well as the dialogues that the current groups establish with traditional icons of the regional music. also, The new forms of production and musical circulation of the city were emphasized in addition to the performance of the significant cultural agents, like the representatives of the State and SEBRAE. It was observed the consolidation of a neo-regional musical gender, that builds an image of the Northeast which comes out as a hybridized place, a mix of tradition and modernity, that is also a place of ambiguities involving poverty and violence living side by side with wealth, culture and exuberant nature. / O presente estudo tem como objeto de análise, grupos musicais juvenis da cidade de João Pessoa que se enquadram no gênero musical MPB neo-regionalista, que articulam elementos da musicalidade tradicional da região Nordeste, que articulam elementos da musicalidade tradicional da região Nordeste, com ritmos e linguagens de gêneros musicais considerados universais. A pesquisa teve como objetivo analisar a imagem de Nordeste que se constrói a partir da produção musical desses grupos. Essa produção caracteriza-se pela hibridização de ritmos e timbres da musicalidade tradicional, com elementos de uma cultura globalizada, a exemplo do uso de instrumentos eletrônicos e ritmos como jazz, rock, funk, reggae e ska. O caminho teórico-metodológico utilizado inspirou-se nos Estudos Culturais e em alguns elementos da Semiótica. A pesquisa mostrou que esses grupos estão construindo uma nova imagem da região Nordeste, que acompanha as articulações contemporâneas entre o Nordeste, o Brasil e a Nova Ordem Econômica Mundial, bem como os fluxos turísticos intensificados. Foi feita uma caracterização da cena musical contemporânea da cidade e dos diálogos que os grupos atuais estabelecem com ícones tradicionais da música regional. Foram, também, apontadas novas formas de produção e circulação musical da cidade e a atuação de agentes culturais significativos, a exemplo de representantes do Estado e do SEBRAE. Observou-se a consolidação de um gênero musical neo-regional, que constrói uma imagem do Nordeste que se apresenta como um local hibridizado, misto de tradição e modernidade, que é também local de ambiguidades envolvendo miséria, violência ao lado de riqueza, cultura, natureza exuberante.

As more and more critics now write about postmodernism in the past tense, the 'New Sincerity' of a group of late twentieth-century American writers, led by David Foster Wallace, Jonathan Franzen, and Richard Powers, has been championed as one of its successors. In response to these increasingly widespread views, this dissertation argues that much more can be learned about these three writers when we stop thinking of their work within this 'end of postmodernism' discourse. Instead of attempting to make claims about its novelty, this thesis conducts a literary-historical inquiry into the New Sincerity, arguing that its roots extend across postmodernism and reach back to regionalism, in particular from the midwestern provinces that all three authors grew up in and that occupy a central place in their work. Though regionalism's subject matter, small-town America, is commonly believed to have died in the postwar period, it is this 'death of the prairie town' and its symbolic afterlife that have opened up new literary possibilities outside the realm of conventional regionalism. The powerful feelings of loss and nostalgia that its death has engendered are precisely those of which Wallace, Franzen, Powers, and the New Sincerity in general make creative use. The thesis examines how they do so in a series of three extended chapters, each of which focuses on one author. The first chapter pays careful attention to Wallace's re-imagining of the Midwest over the course of his career and reveals how he constantly deviated from the literary trajectory he had outlined in his essay 'E Unibus Pluram,' a key text in the 'end of postmodernism' discourse. The second chapter explores what role the Midwest plays in Franzen's authorial self-presentation and his contradictory attempts to balance 'high-art' status with an anti-elitist image. The third and final chapter gets to the root of Powers's problems with flat characters by examining how he all too readily relies on the Midwest and its stereotypical associations with all-American goodness in his attempts to create endearing characters. Here, as well as in the other two chapters, it is the construction of a symbolic 'heartland' that plays a central role in the creative process behind the author's New Sincerity writing.

Este trabalho trata da política externa da República Popular Democrática da Coreia (RPDC-Coreia do Norte) e os efeitos sobre a dinâmica regional do Nordeste Asiático. Especificamente, analisa a mudança de liderança na RPDC, efetivada com ascensão de Kim Jong-Un ao cargo de Supremo Líder em 2011, e os consequentes impactos que essa transição trouxe para as dinâmicas regionais político-securitárias que envolvem a República Popular da China, o Japão, a Coreia do Sul, a Rússia e os EUA. Desse modo, busca atender a dois objetivos básicos. Primeiro, procura avaliar de que forma a ascensão de Kim Jong-Un ao poder altera o quadro político e econômico interno, bem como o perfil de inserção internacional da Coreia do Norte. Segundo, analisa de que modo essa ascensão impacta sobre os padrões de cooperação e conflito que caracterizam o Nordeste Asiático desde o final da Guerra Fria. Para atingir seu objetivo geral, esta pesquisa é guiada por três objetivos específicos. (I) estabelecer uma análise teórico-conceitual acerca dos padrões de cooperação e conflito que caracterizam as relações interestatais no Nordeste Asiático desde o final da Guerra Fria. (II) Segundo, avaliar de que modo o Governo Kim Jong-Un representa uma alteração no quadro securitário, político e econômico interno, bem como na inserção internacional do país. (III) A partir das análises estabelecidas, analisar os impactos que a ascensão de Kim Jong-Un gera sobre a dinâmica regional tendo como base o equilíbrio nuclear e os padrões de cooperação e conflito que prevalecem desde o final da Guerra Fria. / This thesis deals with the foreign policy of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK-North Korea) and the effects on the regional dynamics of Northeast Asia. Specifically, it analyzes the change of leadership in the DPRK, made possible by Kim Jong-Un's rise to the position of Supreme Leader in 2011, and the consequent impacts that this transition has brought to the regional political-security dynamics involving the People's Republic of China, Japan, South Korea, Russia and the United States. In this way, it seeks to meet two basic objectives. First, it seeks to assess how Kim Jong-Un's rise to power alters the internal political and economic framework, as well as North Korea's international insertion profile. Second, to analyze how this rise has impacted on the patterns of cooperation and conflict that have characterized Northeast Asia since the end of the Cold War. To achieve its overall goal, this research is guided by three specific objectives. (I) to establish a theoretical-conceptual analysis of the patterns of cooperation and conflict that characterize inter-state relations in Northeast Asia since the end of the Cold War. (II) Second, to assess how the Kim Jong-Un Government represents a change in the domestic security, political and economic framework, as well as the country's international insertion. (III) From the analysis established, analyze the impacts that the rise of Kim Jong-Un generates on regional dynamics based on the nuclear balance and patterns of cooperation and conflict that have prevailed since the end of the Cold War.

Our regional borders and its administration play an important role forpublic transport in Sweden. Every region (län) is required by law to havea regional public transport authority that's in charge of planning thepublic transport. To get an understanding of the regional administrationfor public transport we also need to understand regions. Informationabout the regions was gathered by conducting interviews with representsfrom every region. The policy documents for every regions publictransport was also an integral part to understand the plans and visions ofthe region. Based on the interviews it became apparent that regionalrestructuring is an interesting concept and could be beneficial to thepublic transport but the main interest they were concerned by wascooperation. The social relations and the historical development of regional and local administration is also an important part of this study.

O Mercosul, como resultado do processo histórico de produção capitalista do espaço, em tese, tenderá a conformar um novo ciclo de acumulação de capital na região. Exibindo, inicialmente, um corte marcadamente comercial e avançando para uma configuração mais econômica e social, poderá o Mercosul alcançar uma condição capaz de redistribuir, ao menos parte do produto dessa acumulação? O posicionamento do Mercosul em relação às teorias da integração regional, em especial, as relações em eixo permitem entrever maiores possibilidades históricas para alcançar tal dimensão? Tem-se como expectativa que o resultado da análise do processo histórico da integração nos países do Mercosul e a efetividade das políticas sociais até aqui adotadas, à luz das ondas de regionalismo, das diversas dimensões (política, econômica, social e ambiental) e fases temporais estudadas (neoliberal, crise e transição e convergente), aliado ao arcabouço teórico, possam indicar perspectivas de evolução da dimensão social do Mercosul. Ademais, investigar se as mudanças na orientação política dos governos dos países do bloco, de neoliberal para socialistas de diversos matizes, a partir da virada do século, estão criando condições distintas para a consolidação de sua dimensão social e contribuir para o preenchimento de certa lacuna na produção científica dessa área específica são os objetivos centrais da dissertação. / MERCOSUR, as a result of the historical process of capitalist production of space, in theory, will tend to conform a new cycle of capital accumulation in the region. Displaying, initially, a markedly commercial court and advancing to a more economical and social setting, can the Mercosur to achieve a condition able to redistribute at least part of the proceeds of accumulation? The positioning of Mercosur in relation to theories of regional integration, in particular the axis relations allow us to see larger historical possibilities to achieve this dimension? Has as expectation that the result of analysis of the historical process of integration in Mercosur countries and the effectiveness of social policies so far adopted, in the light of the waves of regionalism, the various dimensions (political, economic, social and environmental) and temporal phases studied (neoliberal, crisis and transition and convergent), coupled with the theoretical framework, could indicate the future trend with regard to the social dimension of MERCOSUR. Furthermore, investigate whether changes in policy direction of governments in the bloc of neoliberal for socialists of various hues, from the turn of the century, are creating different conditions for the consolidation of the social dimension and contribute to filling in a gap in scientific production in this particular area are the central objectives of the dissertation.

The submitted thesis focuses on traditionalist conceptions in the Czech interwar literature. In the First Chapter were considered some literary theories, mainly distinctions between continuity and discontinuity in literary history (modernism and anti-modernism). Author consider tradition in the dialogue with the hermeneutic theories (mainly Hans-Georg Gadamer, Paul Ricoeur and New Historicism) regarding tradition as a problem of historical meaning opposite sociological conception of tradition. Tradition suggests interdependence of anti-modern and modern art. The Second Chapter focuses on the polemic about tradition around 1928. Polemics about tradition related with discussions about philosophical sense of the Czech history, revision state and national traditions and also with the traditional character of literature. Further chapter consider tradition in the context of rural literature (ruralismus) and rural novel published in rural library Hlasy země (conception and varieties of time in novels - progress, ancestral continuity, eternity). In this contemporary negotiations over rural themes had an important role regional literature (regionalismus) as a specific variant of the rural novels. Vidas Secas, de Graciliano Ramos é considerada uma obra prima da ficção regional da Literatura Brasileira da Geração de 30. O romance é um documento sobre a vida miserável de uma família de retirantes nordestinos, que sofrem as consequências da seca no sertão. O estudo do vocabulário que permeia a trajetória dessa família gerou as bases para elaboração deste trabalho que tem como objetivo principal a formação de um glossário de termos regionais nordestinos presentes na obra em estudo, a fim de contribuir com um dicionário da ficção do referido autor. Para isso, faz-se necessário discorrer sobre a linguagem literária no Brasil a partir do Romantismo até o Modernismo. Expor a curva evolutiva da tradição regionalista brasileira, na ficção, do Romantismo até o Modernismo, enfatizando autores e obras que participaram do processo de criação e evolução do gênero em foco / Vidas Secas, by Graciliano Ramos, is considered a masterpiece of regional fiction of Brazilian Literature of the generation of 1930. The novel is a document about the miserable life of a family of northeasterner migrants, who suffer the consequences of drought in backlands. The study of vocabulary that permeates the trajectory of this family originated the bases for the preparation of this work, which has as its main objective the training of a glossary of regional terms present in the work focused in this study, in order to contribute with a dictionary of the referred authors fictional and autobiographical works. For this reason it is necessary to discuss the literary language in Brazil from Romanticism to Modernism and expose the evolutionary curve of Brazilian regionalist tradition in fiction of Romanticism to Modernism, emphasizing authors and works that participate in the process of creation and evolution of the genre in focus
