[pt] Essa tese demonstra o retorno a Freud efetuado por Jacques Lacan e a importância de Sigmund Freud no ensino de Lacan. Esse retorno toma por referência três versões sucessivas: mítica, discursiva e topológica no ensino de Lacan. Demonstra como Lacan produziu o R.S.I. e com isso ele praticou uma apresentação do freudismo que se desenha matematicamente na manipulação mesma das letras, traçando o que – sob o nome de letra como instância no inconsciente – pode se desdobrar matematicamente nos três registros do simbólico, do imaginário e do real. O retorno a Freud efetuado por Lacan tanto proporcionou a formalização dos três registros Real, Simbólico e Imaginário, já presentes em Freud, quanto a concepção lacaniana da função do real, tão necessária para refletir sobre os impasses frente ao discurso analítico. / [fr] Cette thèse démontre le retour à Freud effectué par Jacques Lacan et l importance de Sigmund Freud dans l enseignement de Lacan. Ce retour est basé sur trois versions successives, la mythique, la discursive et la topologique dans l enseignement de Lacan. Elle démontre comme Lacan a produit le R.S.I., avec quoi il a fait une présentation du freudisme qui se dessine mathématiquement dans la propre manipulation des lettres, et il a tracé – sous le nom de lettre comme instance dans l inconscient – ce qui peut se déplier mathématiquement dans les trois registres du Symbolique, de l Imaginaire e du Réel. Le retour à Freud effectué par Lacan a procuré autant la formalisation des trois registres du Réel, du Symbolique et de l Imaginaire – déjà présents chez Freud – que la conception lacanienne de la fonction du réel, tellement nécessaire pour réfléchir aux impasses devant le discours analytique.

[pt] Este trabalho propõe confrontar a noção de letra, sobretudo tal como ela é circunscrita no texto Lituraterra (1971), de Jacques Lacan, a partir de sua metáfora de um litoral, com o processo criativo envolvido nas montagens da artista e coreógrafa alemã, Pina Bausch. A hipótese desta investigação é de que a teoria lacaniana da letra-litoral pode ser estudada à luz do processo criativo artístico bauschiano. Para isso, apresentamos, em um primeiro momento, as ideias-chave de cada um dos dois campos de nossa articulação – a teoria sobre a letra e as produções de Pina Bausch – e, em seguida, exploramos os pontos de contato entre eles. Com relação ao percurso teórico psicanalítico, percorremos, sobretudo, os conceitos de significante, significado, gozo e real para chegar à noção de letra tal como encontrada no ensino de Lacan na década de setenta. Do processo criativo artístico escolhido, ressaltamos, especialmente, as técnicas de redução e colagem. Tais ideias construíram a via por onde transitamos entre um recorte da psicanálise lacaniana e outro da dança-teatro bauschiana, visando a encontrar, nas peças de Pina, uma ancoragem prática para a teoria que constitui nosso objeto de pesquisa – o campo teórico envolvido na noção de letra-litoral. / [en] This work aims to confront the notion of letter, specially as forged by Jacques Lacan in his text Lituraterre (1971) through the metaphor of a littoral, with the german artist and coreographer Pina Bausch s dances and plays. Our investigation hipothesis is that the lacanian theory of a littoral-letter can be studied in the light of Bausch s creative process. In order to do so, we ll firstly present the key ideas concerning each of our articulation fields – the letter theory and Pina Bausch s productions – and, after that, we ll go through their contact points. Regarding our psychoanalytical course, it includes mostly the concepts of signified, signifier, jouissance and the Real, which will lead us to the notion of letter as we find it on Lacan s teaching in the seventies. Concerning the chosen creative process, we highlight mainly its reduction and collage techniques. These ideas build the path through which we move between a lacanian psychoanalysis specific theory and Pina s dance-theatre, aiming to find in her artistic pieces a practical anchorage for our searching object – the notion of littoral-letter s theoretical field.

[pt] Este trabalho tem o objetivo de investigar a noção de estilo e seu estatuto no ensino de Jacques Lacan. Duas perguntas nortearão a nossa pesquisa: (i) como abordar o estilo nos textos e Seminários de Lacan; (ii) como a noção de estilo se apresenta na clínica psicanalítica e, consequentemente, no ensino da psicanálise? Diante destas questões, nossa investigação será orientada por duas hipóteses centrais. A primeira hipótese é de que o estilo, tal como abordado por Lacan, difere de sua acepção comum, na qual é frequentemente tomado como escolha relativa à forma. A novidade introduzida por Lacan se deve ao fato de ele ter relacionado o estilo ao seu conceito de objeto a, e não à subjetividade. A segunda hipótese é de que o estilo, tendo como elemento operador o objeto a, permitiria dar lugar àquilo que não se transmite inteiramente pela via do sentido. Nosso primeiro capítulo buscará abordar alguns dos principais desdobramentos históricos da noção de estilo na Teoria Literária e na Filosofia, e contrastá-los com os desenvolvimentos da noção em Lacan. Tal percurso nos permitirá delinear a especificidade que o estilo ganha quando Lacan o faz ressoar no campo do objeto por ele inventado. No segundo capítulo, investigaremos o objeto a nas operações de alienação e separação, para, em seguida, tentarmos circunscrever a relação entre objeto, pulsão e repetição. Nosso objetivo, ao final desse capítulo, será de estudar o que muda em relação ao objeto e à pulsão, ao final de uma análise – tal como conceituado por Lacan, na década de 1960 –, bem como seus possíveis efeitos de estilo. Finalmente, abordaremos a articulação entre o estilo e a transmissão da psicanálise, chegando à ideia de que há sempre um ilegível que se transmite, mas não se ensina. / [en] This dissertation seeks to investigate the notion of style in Lacanian psychoanalytic theory. Two questions will guide our research: (i) how may we understand the idea of style according to Lacan; (ii) in which manner does this notion relate to the psychoanalytic clinic as well as the teaching of psychoanalysis Considering these queries, two hypotheses will guide our investigations. Firstly, the notion of style, as it was approached by Lacan, seems to differ from its common conception, whereby it is frequently thought of as a choice relative to form. The novelty introduced by Lacan regards the fact that he associated style to his concept of object a, and not to the idea of subjectivity. Secondly, having the object a as its determining element, style may be thought of as a way of including, in discourse and in writing, that which cannot entirely be transmitted through signification and understanding alone. In our first chapter, we will study some of the main the historical developments of the notion of style, in Literary theory and in Philosophy, and compare them to the changes of this notion, found in Lacan s work. This path will allow us to establish the specificities pertaining to the idea of style according to Lacan. In our second chapter, we will investigate the object a, in relation to the subject s constitution. Only then will we attempt to define the relations between object, pulsion and repetition. Our aim, at the end of this chapter, is to study what changes in relation to the object and to pulsion at the end of the process of psychoanalysis – as approached by Lacan in the decade of 1960 –, as well as the possible effects that this process could have on style. Finally, in the third chapter, we will investigate the relation between style and transmission in psychoanalysis, leading us to the idea that there’s always something illegible in the psychoanalytical experience, which can be conveyed but not taught.

[pt] Esta tese tem como objeto investigar a relação indissociável que há entre a estrutura e o que Lacan inventou ao longo de seus seminários e designou como objeto a. Este percurso é feito a partir de uma investigação sistemática dos Seminários de Lacan, os quais são privilegiados nesta pesquisa. Nossa suposição, a hipótese de leitura que este trabalho pretende demonstrar consiste em apontar que o tema do objeto está mais presente nos Seminários do que nos Escritos (1966) de Lacan, por isso a escolha metodológica. Inicialmente procuramos demarcar uma espécie de genealogia do objeto ao longo dos Seminários de Lacan até a chegada de sua nomeação como objeto a no Seminário 6, O Desejo e sua interpretação (1958-1959). A partir dessa genealogia conceitual, lógico-temporal, nos endereçamos em seguida aos Seminários 10 (1962-1963) e Seminário 11 (1964). A hipótese de leitura que buscamos demonstrar, neste ponto, consiste em localizar uma formalização sobre o tema do objeto a no ensino de Lacan. Neste ponto caracterizamos sua definição destacando que não há objeto a para Lacan se não houver ordem simbólica. Em seguida, propomos um exercício de leitura e aplicação do conceito: inicialmente a partir da leitura do romance A Paixão segundo G.H (1964) de Clarice Lispector. Neste capítulo, aproximamos a relação entre os objetos do texto de Clarice com a função do objeto a no ensino de Lacan. Por fim, nos reportamos a um outro nome possível para o real no ensino de Lacan: a dimensão da letra em seu ensino. Este conceito será discutido a partir de uma segunda interlocução com o campo da literatura, em especial, com o conto O relatório da coisa (1974) de Clarice Lispector. / [en] This thesis aims to investigate the inseparable relationship between structure and what Lacan invented throughout his seminars and designated as object a. This course is based on a systematic investigation of Lacan s Seminars, which are privileged in this research. Our assumption, the reading hypothesis that this work intends to demonstrate, consists of the indication that the theme of the object is more present in the Seminars than in Lacan s Ecrits (1966). Initially, we seek to demarcate a sort of genealogy of the object throughout Lacan s Seminars until the arrival of its nomination as object a in Seminar 6, Desire and its interpretation (1958-1959). From this conceptual, logical-temporal genealogy, we then address Seminars 10 (1962-1963) and Seminar 11 (1964). The reading hypothesis that we seek to demonstrate, at this point, is to locate a formalization on the theme of object (a) in Lacan s teaching. At this point, we characterize his definition by highlighting that there is no object a, according to Lacan, if there is no symbolic order. Then, we propose an exercise in reading and applying the concept: initially from the reading of the novel A Paixão Segundo G.H (1964) by Clarice Lispector. In this chapter, we approach the relationship between objects in Clarice s text and the function of object a in Lacan s teaching. Finally, we refer to another possible name for the real in Lacan s teaching: the dimension of the letter in his teaching. This concept will be discussed from a second interlocution with the field of literature, in particular, with the short story Report on the thing (1974) by Clarice Lispector.

[pt] A partir de uma leitura detalhada do Seminário 3 de Jacques Lacan, pretendemos demonstrar como o percurso do autor, no referido seminário, estabelece uma abordagem clínica das psicoses fundada em sua concepção do inconsciente estruturado como uma linguagem do sujeito freudiano, como o que advém dos efeitos da linguagem. Apesar de tratar-se de uma abordagem já significativamente explorada, permanecem ainda em germe algumas de suas orientações, especialmente as que concernem o modo de intervenção do analista tomando por base o relato do analisante ao pé da letra, ou seja, como indica Lacan, a partir de seus elementos de materialidade significante, em detrimento da abordagem clássica pelo sentido e pela significação do discurso analisante. Para tanto, acompanhamos o percurso do autor, no sentido de constituir uma lógica geral da estrutura da linguagem e seguir uma lógica específica para a psicose, distinta daquela das neuroses. / [en] From the detailed reading of Jacques Lacan s seminar 3 we intend to demonstrate how in the course of the referred seminar, Lacan stablishes clinical treatment guidelines of the psychosis founded by his conception of the unconscious as language structured by the Freudian subject as a product of language effects. Despite being a well explored clinical guideline, a few of its orientations are still to be developed specially those concerning the analyst s method of intervention, considering as a standard to take literally what the analysand has to say, in other words, as Lacan implies, from elements of the materiality of the signifier in opposition to the classic approach by the meaning and signification of the analysands discourse. Therefore, we follow the course trailed by Lacan in a way of stablishing a general logic of the language structure, and next, follow a specific logic of the psychosis that differs from the neurosis.

[pt] Esta dissertação propõe uma leitura da especificidade do laço social na atualidade, assim como propõe uma maneira como, a partir deste laço, poderia ser decantada uma política contemporânea. Para esta costura, uma leitura do sociólogo Zygmunt Bauman fornece balizas para delimitarmos o estado atual do laço social. Em seguida, algumas das perspectivas de Sigmund Freud, com relação ao social e aos modos de organização grupal, especialmente quanto ao lugar que estes dão ao líder, são contrapostas à descrição de Bauman. Jorge Alemán e Ernesto Laclau trazem, então, elementos para a aplicação de conceitos desenvolvidos por Jacques Lacan, a partir de Freud, ao momento político atual, especialmente no que concerne às concepções de solidão comum, significante vazio e ato instituinte. Por fim, os conceitos lacanianos de nó borromeano e sinthome são examinados para localizar em que se apoiam os conceitos de Alemán e Laclau, com referência ao ensino de Lacan. Amarra-se, assim, nossa dissertação, propondo alguma orientação dentro do campo demarcado. / [en] This dissertation proposes a reading of the specificity of the social tie in the present time, as well as proposes a way where, from this tie, a contemporary politics could be decanted. For this seam, a reading by sociologist Zygmunt Bauman provides reading beacons for delimiting the current state of the social tie. Next, some of Freud s perspectives on the social and modes of group organization, especially as to the place they give to the leader, are opposed to Bauman s description. Jorge Alemán and Ernesto Laclau bring elements for the application of concepts developed by Jacques Lacan from Freud s work to the present political moment, especially in what concerns his conceptions of common solitude, empty signifier and institute act. Finally, the Lacanian concepts of the Borromean node and sinthome are examined with the objective of locating in which the concepts of Alemán and Laclau are supported in the teaching of Lacan. Thus, our dissertation is tied, proposing some orientation within the demarcated field.
