[pt] A biografia intelectual de Luiz Camillo de Oliveira Netto foi construída a partir de antigas anotações que mostram a marca fundadora de sua personalidade: Itabira e o povo do Girau. Desde seu primeiro trabalho, percebe-se como a pequena cidade calçada de ferro era o núcleo moral de sua personalidade, Itabira com seus parentes mortos e vivos, sua paisagem circunspecta, sua tradição, seu estilo. Daí sairiam seu amor aos estudos históricos e seu destino de intelectual, pesquisador e ativista político. Seu arquivo constitui-se em fonte primária, inédita; possui interesse para os pesquisadores que desejem compreender os limites e a importância da sua atuação no mundo da cultura e da política e entender, através dos seus olhos, o espírito do tempo em que viveu. As cartas e demais documentos com os quais se trabalhou datam em sua maior parte de momento cultural e histórico preciso, situado entre 1904-1953, no ponto de encontro de diferentes fatores que os fazem objeto da história, da sociologia, dos gêneros literários; desses documentos, acrescidos de entrevistas com pessoas que com ele conviveram, retiraram-se temas e preocupações do mundo intelectual brasileiro e a caracterização de uma época - com mapeamento de mentalidades, entrelaçamento de relações de amizade, parentesco e trabalho. / [en] Luiz Camillo de Oliveira Netto s intellectual biography is reconstructed on the basis of old jottings that point to the founding mark of his personality: the town of Itabira and the people of Girau. Since his first job, it is clear that the small, iron-paved town was the moral core of his personality - Itabira with its dead and living relatives, its reserved landscape, its traditions, its style. This was the origin of his love for the study of history and his destiny as an intellectual, researcher, and political activist. His archive includes primary and unpublished sources; it holds interest for researchers who would like to understand the limits and importance of his activities in the cultural and political world and to grasp, from his perspective, the spirit of the times he lived in. Most of the letters and documents upon which this work is based date from a precise cultural and historical moment: between 1904 and 1953. These materials are located at the intersection of different factors which make them the object of history, sociology, and literary genres; from these documents, to which were added interviews with people who lived around him, were drawn themes and concerns of the Brazilian intellectual world and the characterization of a historical period, with the mapping out of mentalities, the interlacing of relationships between friends, family members and fellow workers.

Esta abordagem destaca o fato de que as obras não se isolam no seu sentido original, mas se complementam independentemente dos interesses dos escritores e da época em que foram escritas. Apesar de haver uma diferença de 65 anos entre a primeira publicação das obras Cidade do sonho e da melancolia, de Gilberto de Alencar em 1926, e Boca de chafariz, de Rui Mourão em 1991, há nelas a mesma preocupação quanto à preservação das tradições nacionais. Esta análise envolve três momentos: o primeiro perpassa a teoria da micro e da macroanálise das narrativas, o segundo detém-se no cotejo dos romances, a fim de observar as semelhanças e diferenças na construção do tema comum e o terceiro volta-se à importância da antiga Vila Rica, hoje Ouro Preto, como parte da construção histórica de Minas Gerais, justificando, assim, a interdisciplinaridade temática. O desenvolvimento desta investigação valeu-se da modalidade qualitativa, com apoio metodológico de natureza histórica e descritiva do tema, em base bibliográfica e virtual. Os resultados evidenciaram importante presença do diálogo intertextual e interdisciplinar entre os textos ficcionais analisados, com os registros históricos, objeto central desta dissertação. / This research was based on the study of theories as intertextual literary phenomenon. This approach highlights the fact that the works do not go off in its original sense, but complement each other regardless of the interests of writers and the time they were written. Although there is a difference of 65 years between the first publication of the Cidade do sonho e da melancolia, Gilberto de Alencar in 1926, and Boca de chafariz Rui Mourão in 1991, they have provided the same concern about the preservation of national traditions. This analysis involves three phases: the first goes through the theory of micro and macro analysis of the narratives, the second holds in the collation of the novels, in order to observe the similarities and differences in the construction of the third common theme back to the importance of old Vila Rica, today Ouro Preto, as part of the historical construction of Minas Gerais, thus justifying the interdisciplinarity theme. The development of this research employed the qualitative method, with methodological support of historical and descriptive theme in bibliographic database and virtual. The results showed significant presence of intertextual and interdisciplinary dialogue between fictional texts analyzed, to the historical records, the object of this dissertation.

Essa investigação pretende demonstrar a importância dos acervos privados e públicos na construção contínua do patrimônio cultural e da memória do país.

[pt] A pesquisa de doutorado apresentada a seguir pretende construir uma reflexão, em perspectiva comparada, sobre a metaficção em experimentos artísticos em curso no Brasil e em Portugal. Consideramos como obras metaficcionais aquelas que destacam e enfatizam a artificialidade de suas construções, desnudamse diante do leitor, provocando a ilusão da suposta espontaneidade da criação artística. Desejamos, por meio do corpus bibliográfico da pesquisa, auscultar a respiração contemporânea do recurso metaficcional que, consagrado durante o modernismo, frequenta ainda com assiduidade obras literárias e artísticas contemporâneas de diferentes nacionalidades. Em meio a abundância de discursos autorreferentes, selecionamos três vozes que apresentam de maneira singular e original a questão metaficcional. O corpus selecionado contempla o romance O inventário das coisas ausentes (2014), da escritora brasileira Carola Saavedra, a exposição pictórica In Situ: Carta de Intenções (2014), do artista plástico português Rui Macedo e uma seleção de crônicas do escritor português António Lobo Antunes (Livro de crónicas, 1998, Segundo livro de crónicas, 2002, Terceiro livro de crónicas, 2006, Quarto livro de crónicas, 2011, e Quinto livro de crónicas, 2013). A primeira seção, introdutória, aponta os objetivos e hipóteses de trabalho que frequentam e norteiam a produção da tese de doutorado e endereça brevemente a discussão teórica em torno da metaficção. Em termos de formato, a tese investigará três grandes eixos em cada produção artística selecionada: o primeiro aspecto será perceber de que modo os investimentos metaficcionais produzem a impressão de uma espontaneidade forjada; o segundo aspecto será uma reflexão sobre o pacto de leitura (de que forma as obras selecionadas abalam a relação estabelecida entre artista, obra e público); e o terceiro aspecto será analisar como o corpus escolhido propõe um movimento de retorno a(s) origem(ns). Tendo como fio condutor da escrita da tese os três eixos acima listados pretendemos investigar de que maneira as obras artísticas reagem a essas indagações. Exploramos a hipótese de que o exame comparado dos dispositivos metaficcionais singulares mobilizados nessas obras fornece elementos valiosos para pensar o estatuto contemporâneo da metaficção, de um modo geral e nos contextos particulares enfocados, o português e o brasileiro. / [en] The present doctoral research aims to contemplate, in compared perspective, metafiction on current artistic experiments in Brazil and Portugal. It is considered a metafictional work those which highlight and emphasize the artificiality of its own constructions, unmasking themselves to the reader and inciting the illusion of the supposed spontaneity of the artistic creation. By way of the bibliographic corpus of the present research, it is aimed to auscultate the contemporary breath of the metafictional resource which, hallowed during modernism, is frequently present on recent literary and artistic works from different nationalities. Among a number of self-referential expressions, three voices were selected which present the metafictional issue in an unique and authentic manner. The selected corpus considers the novel O inventário das coisas ausentes (2014) by the Brazilian writer Carola Saavedra, the pictorial exhibition In Situ: Carta de Intenções (2014) by the Portuguese plastic artist Rui Macedo and a collection of chronicles by the Portuguese writer António Lobo Antunes (Livro de crónicas, 1998, Segundo livro de crónicas, 2002, Terceiro livro de crónicas, 2006, Quarto livro de crónicas, 2011 and Quinto livro de crónicas, 2013). The introductory first section indicates the work s objectives and assumptions that are exposed and which guide the doctoral thesis construction and briefly refers to the theoretical discussion regarding metafiction. In terms of the structure, the thesis examines three major aspects in each artistic production selected: the first one relates to the observation of the ways in which the metafictional approach produces an impression of a forged spontaneity; the second aspect is a contemplation regarding the reader s pact (in which ways the selected works affect the relation established between artist, work and public); and the third one is an analysis on how the chosen corpus proposes a return to the origin(s). Considering the three aspects outlined above as guidelines to the writing, it is intended to investigate how the artistic works react to this interrogations. An assumption is proposed concerning the fact that the compared examination of the singular metafictional features employed on these works provide valuable elements to think about the contemporary metafictional statute in general and also in the particular Portuguese and Brazilian contexts focused herein.

Esta pesquisa tem como objeto de estudo o sujeito híbrido pós-colonial e o discurso que são analisados na obra poética do escritor moçambicano Rui Knopfli, sob as perspectivas dos Estudos Culturais trazidas por Homi K. Bhabha, Stuart Hall e Edward Said. Também serviu de base para o estudo do discurso do conjunto poético knopfliano a Análise do Discurso Francesa representada, principalmente, pelos estudos de Michel Pêcheux e, para as análises poéticas, a Fenomenologia de Bachelard e os escritos de Octavio Paz sobre a linguagem poética. Foram analisadas as condições de produção e o contexto histórico em que a referida obra poética foi produzida. Período em que se inicia antes das guerras de libertação do jugo colonialista e que segue após a independência em 1975. O sujeito híbrido na obra de Knopfli apresenta um discurso que se divide entre a posição-sujeito africana e a posição-sujeito europeia, visto que está sob a influência desses contextos históricos e culturais. Não está em consonância política nem com o discurso colonialista português nem com o discurso nacionalista africano, por isso é um sujeito híbrido à deriva e que seguiu as malhas da diáspora. Seu discurso poético representa a inconstância de quem sofre por não ser aceito pelo fato de não se engajar de forma efetiva, em um período no qual se exigia um posicionamento ferrenho contra a política colonial. Seus versos falam sobre o silenciamento, sobre vozes ciciadas pela engrenagem de um período histórico marcado por guerras e injustiças. / This research studies the postcolonial hybrid subject and the discourse that are analyzed in the poetic work of the mozambican writer Rui Knopfli, on the perspectives of the Cultural Studies by Homi K. Bhabha, Stuart Hall and Edward Said. The Analysis of the French Discourse, represented by the studies of Michel Pêcheu, it was also used as a basis for study the discourse of the poetic work of Knopfli, as well as The Phenomenology of Bachelard to the poetic the analysis and the writings of Octavio Paz on a poetic language. The conditions of production and the historical context in which poetic work was produced were analyzed. This period begins before the wars of liberation from the colonialism and goes after the independence in 1975. The hybrid subject in Knopfli's work shows a discourse that was divided between an African subject-position and a European subject-position, considering that it’s on the influence of historical and cultural contexts. It isn’t in political consonance with the Portuguese colonialist discourse or with the African nationalist discourse either, so it’s a hybrid subject adrift and that has followed the way of the diaspora. His poetic discourse represents the fickleness from who suffer for not being accepted by the fact of not being engage in an effectively way, in a period which was necessary a fierce position against a colonial politic. His verses talks about to be silenced, about voices whispering by the gear of a historic period marked by wars and injustices.

O presente estudo tem como objetivo verificar a participação e a influência de Rui Barbosa na reforma eleitoral para introdução do voto direto no Brasil que, resultando na Lei Saraiva (1881), acabou por excluir os analfabetos do direito de voto. Esta pesquisa também busca: investigar qual era o liberalismo que Rui Barbosa representava e qual a posição assumida por ele no contexto da reforma eleitoral; examinar por que, para o governo e as elites, até mesmo para a grande maioria dos parlamentares liberais, especialmente no que se refere a Rui Barbosa, que se posicionou fortemente pela “exclusão” dos analfabetos do direito de voto, o voto dos analfabetos passou a ser um problema, o que não era até então; e, constatar qual o entendimento de classe social que norteava o pensamento de Rui Barbosa no momento em que ele afirmou que a reforma eleitoral, ao excluir o analfabeto do direito de voto, não estaria constituindo uma exclusão de classe. O presente estudo realiza uma interface entre a História Social e a História Política. Pois, essa pesquisa procura relacionar questões políticas com as suas correlativas questões sociais. Assim, apesar de minha atenção estar voltada continuamente para uma figura de destaque da política nacional, o então deputado Rui Barbosa, essa dissertação busca não se limitar somente às suas ações isoladas, mas sim, verificar como que posições e decisões dos políticos nacionais se refletiram e afetaram a vida das grandes massas. Mais especificamente, como que as ações tomadas por políticos brasileiros, em um dado momento da nossa história, decidiram quem poderia e quem não poderia, daí em diante, ter o direito de participar da vida política do país. / The present study aims to verify the participation and influence of Rui Barbosa in the electoral reform to introduce direct voting in Brazil that, resulting in the Saraiva Law (1881), turned out excluding the illiterate of the right to vote. This research also seeks to investigate what was the liberalism that Rui Barbosa represented and what position had been taken by him in the electoral reform; to examine why, to the Government and the elites, even for the vast majority of liberal parliamentarians, particularly in relation to Rui Barbosa, who strongly had positioned himself in favor of "excluding" the illiterate of the right to vote, the vote of the illiterate became a problem, which was not until then; and to see what had been the understanding of social class that had been Rui Barbosa’s guidance at the time when he said that the electoral reform’s disenfranchising the illiterates of voting rights, would not be an exclusion of class. The present study provides an interface between the Social History and Political History. Therefore, this research seeks to link political issues with its correlative social issues. So, despite my attention be continuously focused on a prominent figure of the national politics, the Congressman Rui Barbosa, this dissertation will not be limited only to their actions, but rather, verify how national politicians' decisions and positions reflected and affected the lives of the lower class. More specifically, how the actions taken by Brazilian politicians, at any given moment in our history, decided who could and who could not, thereafter, be entitled to participate in the political life of the country.

A documentação fotográfica, embora presente na maioria dos arquivos públicos e privados, ainda é pouco debatida no contexto da descrição arquivística, seja em meio analógico ou digital. A fotografia constitui-se em espécie documental com especificidades próprias, sua descrição é individualizada, mas possui o caráter orgânico em conjuntos documentais. Nesta conjuntura, são adotadas normas e técnicas compatíveis ao princípio básico da arquivologia de respeito aos fundos, que permite a disseminação e o acesso à informação. O objetivo é propor uma discussão sobre o tema, por meio do arquivo pessoal de Rui Barbosa, na série Iconografia no Serviço de Arquivo Histórico e Institucional (SAHI). A documentação fotográfica do citado arquivo, é de interesse para memória individual e social/coletiva. A análise visa compreender o problema da descrição arquivística do documento fotográfico, a partir de revisão teórica e conceitual. Observamos a utilização dos critérios temáticos nos Arquivos, que nem sempre respeitam os princípios arquivísticos da proveniência e ordem original. Nesta investigação foi aplicado um questionário, realizadas entrevistas, visitas in loco e acesso on line ao arquivo pessoal de Rui Barbosa. A documentação fotográfica está identificada, descrita e disponibilizada por meio do sistema fotoWeb, franqueando a consulta e amplo acesso à informação nela contida. A partir desta pesquisa, espera-se contribuir para ampliar os estudos do tema em foco, inserido no âmbito da Ciência da Informação. / Abstract This research was born when we realizad the difficulty process operated by the archivists and other professionals from Information Sciennce about description, divulgation and recuperation of the photographic documentation. The photographic documentation, presente in all kind of archives - publics and privates - is already veryfew in the context of the archival description and the information recover, in analogical or digital suports. The photography is a special document, diferent from others, with individualized description, but with organic character of documental groups. This research adopted compatible techniques from the principle of “Respeito aos Fundos”,that allows the dissemination and the access to the information. This research tries to discuss the presente theme using Rui Barbosa’s personal archive – Iconographic Series, in the Historic and Institutional Archive Service. The fotographic document is very important to the individual and social/collective memory. This study tries to understand the problem of the archival description of the photographic document, using a theoretical review. It is possible to observe the utilization of thematic rules in the archives that are not respecting the archival principles of “Proveniência” and “Ordem Original” (original order). The research applied a quiz (interview) with the local employees, a guide tour in loco, with on line acess to the Rui Barbosa’s personal archive. The photographic documentation is identified, described and available at World Wide Web using the FotoWeb Sistem, authorizing extensive access to the information. This research desires to develop the studies about this specific type of personal archives to the Information Science and similar areas.

O presente estudo tem como objetivo verificar a participação e a influência de Rui Barbosa na reforma eleitoral para introdução do voto direto no Brasil que, resultando na Lei Saraiva (1881), acabou por excluir os analfabetos do direito de voto. Esta pesquisa também busca: investigar qual era o liberalismo que Rui Barbosa representava e qual a posição assumida por ele no contexto da reforma eleitoral; examinar por que, para o governo e as elites, até mesmo para a grande maioria dos parlamentares liberais, especialmente no que se refere a Rui Barbosa, que se posicionou fortemente pela “exclusão” dos analfabetos do direito de voto, o voto dos analfabetos passou a ser um problema, o que não era até então; e, constatar qual o entendimento de classe social que norteava o pensamento de Rui Barbosa no momento em que ele afirmou que a reforma eleitoral, ao excluir o analfabeto do direito de voto, não estaria constituindo uma exclusão de classe. O presente estudo realiza uma interface entre a História Social e a História Política. Pois, essa pesquisa procura relacionar questões políticas com as suas correlativas questões sociais. Assim, apesar de minha atenção estar voltada continuamente para uma figura de destaque da política nacional, o então deputado Rui Barbosa, essa dissertação busca não se limitar somente às suas ações isoladas, mas sim, verificar como que posições e decisões dos políticos nacionais se refletiram e afetaram a vida das grandes massas. The hybrid subject in Knopfli's work shows a discourse that was divided between an African subject-position and a European subject-position, considering that it’s on the influence of historical and cultural contexts. It isn’t in political consonance with the Portuguese colonialist discourse or with the African nationalist discourse either, so it’s a hybrid subject adrift and that has followed the way of the diaspora. His poetic discourse represents the fickleness from who suffer for not being accepted by the fact of not being engage in an effectively way, in a period which was necessary a fierce position against a colonial politic. His verses talks about to be silenced, about voices whispering by the gear of a historic period marked by wars and injustices.
