This thesis is able to serves for the broader professional community for evaluating of the effectiveness of managing of one of the strategic Czech companies by the large foreign investor. The theses is dedicated to the methodology of patent infringement damages calculations in the American and Czech legal environment. The methodology is first defined in terms of the US legal framework. The main focus is devoted to the methods of determining the royalty rate, as the thesis describes the Goergia-Pacific factors analysis and also additional methods recommended by literature are taken into account. Based on the identification of the main differences between the American and Czech damages legislation, it analyzes an applicability of the American framework in the Czech Republic.

Hodnocení CSR aktivit u vybraných společností / Evaluation of CSR activities of chosen companies

This diploma thesis deals with a corporate social responsibility. The aim of the thesis is evaluation of CSR activities of two chosen companies. Theoretical part begins with the subject of corporate social responsibility, historical evolution of the term and modern definitions. Following that there is a description of the main three pillars of CSR, standards and methods, how is the CSR evaluated. Practical part is divided into 5 main chapters. The first one is a methodology of exploration, then evaluation of CSR activities of company ŠKODA AUTO, a.s. incl. questionnaire for employees. Evaluation of CSR activities of company Toyota Peugeot Citroen Automobile Czech s.r.o. is in the third chapter of the practical part. Following that there is a final evaluation of CSR activities for both companies for the three main pillars of CSR, evaluation of the questionnaire and recommendations from the author. Summary of the thesis is in conclusion of this work.

This growth strategy is based on four pillars: sales over 1.5 million vehicles targeting on EU and RIC-markets, profitability and financial strength, strategic "spearhead" focused on price/value, practicality and spaciousness and eventually top employer with global talent pool. The goal is to analyze the whole growth strategy. The work is divided into three chapters. The introductory chapter focuses on an automotive history. The second chapter deals with the current situation of the automotive industry and the last part analyzes the particular pillars of the new growth strategy.

The aim of this diploma thesis is to compare the influence of the country of origin effect on Czech products between Czech and Austrian university students. The first part includes description of existing theories in this field and also presents theoretical possibilities of brand and product origin communication. The empirical part introduces both markets, selected brands Škoda Auto and Pilsner Urquell and presents the interpretation of the data obtained from the questionnaire and its quantitative analysis. In the proposal part, the conclusions of the hypotheses constructed based on the empirical research in the first chapter are interpreted, the differences between both groups of respondents are discussed and author’s proposals are presented.

The thesis deals with the search of the current sequential gearboxes and the structural shift of the Škoda Felicia 1.6 MPI synchronous transmission to the manual sequential gearbox. Based on the assignment, the schematic reconstruction principle is included. This principle i s then elaborated into a detailed design and the thesis focuses on strength analysis of newly created parts of reconstruction, optimization of these parts and control of their fatigue life. The thesis ends with the theoretical continuation of mechanical conversion to a fully electronic sequential gearbox.

The methods of calculating of efficiency in common sense take place in this part of thesis. There are also described differences in counting of efficiency of public good. Theoretical part continues with basic information about floods and types of flood defense in the Czech Republic. Last part of theory describes method of calculating efficiency for flood defense. The main aim of the practical part is to apply this methodology to particular case of flood defense in the Czech Republic.
