Postoje a motivace mladých lidí ke kurzovému sázení na sport / Attitudes and motivation towards sport betting in young people

Kovář, Filip January 2021 (has links)
Title: Attitudes and motivations of young people towards sport betting Objectives: To find out which factors significantly influence sport betting in young Czechs between the age of 18 and 30. Methods: Due to the quantitative nature of the research, the only used method was electronic survey. The survey was based on the theory of planned behaviour. It primarily sought information on independent variables (predictors) within this theory, which are attitudes, subjective norm and perceived control (in connection with sport betting). This part was adopted from a similar previous research. The intention and behaviour of the respondents as response variables were also surveyed in order to describe the relationships between independent and response variables. The sample consisted of 122 respondents, mostly active betters. Statistical methods such as correlation and regression analysis were used, followed by a final path analysis, which provided a model visualizing the relationships between the crucial variables. Results: All of the examined predictors within the theory of planned behaviour influence the intention to bet - the values are 0,241 for attitudes, 0,335 for subjective norm and -0,410 for perceived control. The negative value means that those with higher perceived control have lower intention to...

Wire ropes in crane applications – Current state of the standardization work of ISO/WD 16625 – Requirements and Objectives

Golder, Markus, Reinl, Judith 12 January 2022 (has links)
Standards apply the proof of competence method to prove that a design force does not exceed a certain limit to ensure a certain safety level. Furthermore, standards elaborated during the last years apply a cycle-based approach instead of a time-based approach. The shortcomings of the standard ISO 16625:2013 need to be addressed in a revision. Therefore, the working group WG3 of ISO/TC 96 SC3 is preparing a new working draft ISO/WD 16625. This presentation is showing the requirements and objectives.

Posturální stabilita u hráčů Ultimate frisbee / Postural stability of Ultimate frisbee players

Juranová, Magdalena January 2021 (has links)
Title: Postural stability in Ultimate frisbee players Aims: The aim of the work is to objectively measure and evaluate the dynamic postural stability of a deliberately selected group of Czech Utimate frisbee (UF) players and then compare the measured results with the "Athles Norm 20-30" (AN 20-30) standard, set for the sporting population. The postural stability of the research group of probands was measured once using the computer dynamic posturography - NeuroCom Smart EquiTest System. A partial goal of the work was to describe the results of measuring postural stability with respect to pivoting. This characteristic movement is used by UF players to obtain a suitable position for passing to a teammateduring the game. Methods: This is a scientific research work, specifically a quantitative observational cross-sectional study. The research group (n = 28) was, on the basis of predetermined criteria (to be an active UF player registered under the organization ČALD (Czech Flying Disc Association), age 18-35 years, to attend UF for at least 3 years and to have at least one national team start at the European Championships or in higher competition). UF players who met these criteria were included. Measurement on the Smart EquiTest System from NeuroCom was chosen as an objective way of evaluating postural...

Understanding the Determinants of Car Ownership : A Regression and Neural Network Study / Faktorerna bakom bilägandeskap : En regression och neural nätverksstudie

Kindvall, Olle, Pettersson, Vegard January 2023 (has links)
This thesis aims to understand the determinants of car ownership in the Swedish regions containing the largest cities: Skåne, Stockholm, and Västra Götaland. This is done by performing a fixed effects regression analysis as well as creating and comparing different predictive models. Both socioeconomic and spatial factors are looked at. The data used in the study is on a Demographic Statistic Zone level for the years 2016-2021. The data consists of approximately 90 variables that are narrowed down to 12 variables based on the level of existing multicollinearity, which are used in the final models. The results from the fixed effects regression show that variables such as population density, age, income, house owning type, and house type are the main influencers on car ownership. These results are similar for the specific regions; however, some differences are discovered, pointing out the disadvantages in creating a generalized model. The results of the predictive models shows that a Long Short-Term Memory model performs better than Random Forrest Regression and OLS, however the performance of the latter two models is considered satisfying enough making them superior as they are easier to interpret and more established within the industry. The region-specific predictive models perform equally well as the ones created from all the data. In conclusion, it can be said that the determinants of car ownership that are mentioned align well with the previous studies made and are considered reliable. Regarding which predictive model to use OLS should be considered sufficient even if more complex methods perform better.

Developing Under the Influence : En nykter syn på utländska influenser på svensk operativ doktrin

Ferneborg, Daniel January 2023 (has links)
How did foreign influences shape the development of the Swedish Joint Doctrine? The research on Swedish doctrine development is scarce, and when it comes to the military dissemination of ideas to Swedish doctrine, the research is practically non-existent. Data collection has been conducted through semi-structured interviews with a relevant interview group. A deductive approach, using Farrell, Terriff, and Osinga's theory of norm diffusion, has been applied to analyse and interpret the collected data in a qualitative text analysis. There is no doubt that foreign military theoretical ideas and concepts have been incorporated into the Swedish Armed Forces Joint Doctrine. NATO serves as the natural international influence for Swedish doctrinal change. The study demonstrates that all shaping factors have, at some point, influenced the foreign concepts transferred to Swedish doctrine. A suggestion for further research is to conduct a similar study on Swedish military strategic doctrine.

Jazyky ve Španělsku a jejich užívání v televizích působících na dvojjazyčných územích / Languages of Spain as televised in bilingual areas

Čechová, Nela January 2022 (has links)
(in English): The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze the representation of the co-official language and Castilian in the language expression in the autonomous televisions of Catalonia (TV3), Galicia (TVG) and the Basque Country (ETB1, ETB2). Before performing this analysis, the fundamental concepts related to our topic will be defined, followed by introducing basic information about individual autonomous areas and their televisions. Subsequently, we will provide an overview of the theoretical level of the concept of language policies of individual televisions. After that, an analysis will be carried out, during which we will focus not only on the ratio of Castilian and the co-official language in individual channels, but also on the dubbing and the subtitles of Castilian and the co-official language.

Values and employees' voluntary pro-environmental behaviour in small, medium and micro enterprises in Polokwane Municipality

Motebejane, Kabelo Nankie January 2022 (has links)
Thesis (M.Com. (Business Management)) -- University of Limpopo, 2022 / The primary objective of the study was to examine the effect of values (biospheric values, altruistic values, egoistic values and openness to change values) on voluntary pro-environmental behaviour of employees of SMMEs.In addition, the study investigated the moderating effect of demographic variables (gender, age and level of education) in the relationship between values and pro-environmental behaviour. The quantitative approach was utilised and the cross-sectional survey method was used to collect data from the respondents that were conveniently sampled. The Cronbach’s alpha was used to measure reliability and the Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modelling (PLS SEM) was utilised to analyse data. The findings of the study indicated that biospheric values has a negative relationship with employees’ voluntary proenvironmental behaviour. Three values (altruistic, egoistic and openness to change values) have significant positive relationships with voluntary pro-environmental behaviour of employees. The moderating effects of gender, age and level of education are insignificant. Recommendations on how to use values to improve the voluntary pro-environmental behaviour of employees of SMMEs are outlined.

Sex- och samlevnadsundervisning i årskurs 4-6 : Utmaningar och strategier

Forsö, Åsa January 2022 (has links)
