Le Canada et le Québec, à l’image de la communauté internationale, ont à cœur le respect, la protection et la promotion des droits des femmes. Toutefois, les normes en matière d’apparence physique et de beauté qui pèsent uniquement sur les femmes, particulièrement sur les femmes et les filles noires, menacent le projet d’égalité réelle. Ces normes sont ce qu’on appelle les codes sexuels. Les codes sexuels cherchent à universaliser, naturaliser et normaliser un modèle unique de féminité, qui respecte un équilibre précaire entre beauté et professionnalisme, entre chasteté et attractivité. Dans ce mémoire de recherche, nous nous intéresserons au rapport entre le droit et la norme, qu’elle soit juridique, sociale ou culturelle, afin de comprendre l’effet préjudiciable des codes sexuels sur les femmes, et de comprendre comment et pourquoi le droit permet, renforce ou lutte contre les codes sexuels. Notre cadre théorique intersectionnel étudiera le principe de discrimination en droit international, canadien et québécois et présentera différentes théories de la norme, à l’intérieur et en dehors d’un contexte purement juridique. Cela permettra d’analyser de façon intersectionnelle la violence normative des deux codes sexuels à l’étude, soit les codes vestimentaires à l’école et les codes sur l’apparence au travail, puis de présenter des solutions sur mesure pour remédier à l’effet de ces codes sur les femmes et les filles. / Canada and Quebec, along with the international community, consider the respect, protection and promotion of women's rights of utmost importance. However, beauty norms and physical appearance standards that only burden women, especially black women and girls, threaten the project of substantive equality. These norms are called sexual codes. Sexual codes seek to universalize, naturalize and normalize a unique model of femininity, which observes a precarious balance between beauty and professionalism, between chastity and attractiveness. In this research paper, we will focus on the relationship between the law and the norm, whether legal, social or cultural, in order to understand the harmful effect of sexual codes on women, and to understand how and why the law allows, reinforces or fights against sexual codes. Our intersectional theoretical framework will study the principle of discrimination in international, Canadian and Quebec law and will present different theories of the norm, inside and outside a strictly legal context. This will allow us to analyze, using intersectionality, the normative violence of the two sexual codes under study, namely dress codes in schools and codes on appearance at work, and then present tailor-made solutions to remedy the effect of these codes on women and girls.

The meaning of this research is to make benefits of dialogical and norm critical approaches in dance visible and thus suggest new ways to enter dance education. The starting point of the research was to carry out a workshop project with a focus group outside the normative dance context, which here means a group outside the traditional dancefield among hobbyists: a varying, heterogeneous group of girls and young women with both different bodily and other challenges and also different knowledges and experiences in dance. The research aims to contribute to their artistic creation in dance through dialogue and bodily communication in a short period of time. The theoretical framework of this artistic-didactic research is based in normcritical perspectives, and the research is conducted by Practice as Research with methods in different forms of communication, such as verbal dialogue, bodily communication and written reflections. The research questions are: How can bodily communication be used as a resource in artistic creation in dance with girls and young women outside of the nomative dance context? How can this be done within a short workshop period? How can methods within norm critical pedagogy strenghten artistic creation? The research follows a process-focused reflection as a form of critical practice, which makes the personal development of the researcher visible. It also shows how the emphasis of the research changed from exploring bodily communication into more dialogical encounter with the focus group which created communication and helped the researcher see more creativity and courage in the individuals. The ending discussion of the research shows how dialogical and norm breaking approaches create possibilities to change dance education towards more democratic in relation to traditional teaching methods.

Ett av fritidshemmets uppdrag enligt styrdokumenten är att inkludera eleverna oavsett kön. Det är vanligt förekommande att elevgruppen delas in baserat på kön och utifrån de normer som lärargruppen har. Det saknas fokus på jämställdhet och genus i lärarnas planering. Essän tar sin utgångspunkt i gestaltningar från vår tidigare erfarenhet där vi har dilemmasituationer baserat på genustolkning och inkludering. Vi frågar oss hur vi som lärare i fritidshem kan påverka inkludering och genus baserat på vår kunskap om läroplanen samt vår förmåga att skapa en jämställd och inkluderande verksamhet.  Syftet med denna essä är att reflektera kring oss själva och personalens svårigheter att inkludera alla elever i aktiviteter på fritidshemmet. Metoden är vetenskaplig essä och observationer. Vi reflekterar kring dilemmat och analyserar det kopplat till genus, normer, jämställdhet, ledarskap, normkritiskt perspektiv och relationell pedagogik. Vi ser att det inom fritidshemmet finns flera utmaningar och att en viktig aspekt i verksamhetsutvecklingen är en god kunskap om läroplanen, engagerad skolledning samt en personalstyrka som vågar utmana och reflektera kring hur verksamheten är uppbyggd avseende på könsroller, inkludering, jämställdhet och elevernas delaktighet. Ett fritidshem där dessa aspekter utvärderas och löpande finns med i verksamheten har goda förutsättningar för att skapa en inkluderande verksamhet. / One of the tasks of the leisure-time center according to Curriculum for the compulsory school, preschool class and the leisure-time center 2022 is to include every student regardless of gender. It is common for students to be divided based on their gender and based on the norms that the teachers have. There is a lack of focus on equality and gender in the teachers' planning. The essay takes its starting point in representations from our previous experience where we have dilemma situations based on gender interpretation and inclusion. We ask ourselves how we as teachers in leisure centers can influence inclusion and gender based on our knowledge of the curriculum and our ability to create an equal and inclusive activity. The purpose of this essay is to reflect on all staff's difficulties in including all students in activities during leisure-time. The method is a scientific essay and observations. We reflect on the dilemma and analyze it linked to gender, norms, equality, leadership, norm-critical perspective and relational pedagogy. We see that within the leisure center there are several challenges and that an important aspect in the development of operations is a good knowledge of the curriculum, committed school management and a staff that dares to challenge and reflect on how the operation is structured about gender roles, inclusion, equality and student participation. A leisure center where these aspects are evaluated and are continuously included in the operation have good conditions for creating an inclusive operation.

Syftet med denna studie har varit att genom ett normkritiskt perspektiv undersöka hur normer kring kön och etnicitet ser ut i tio olika barnböcker. Böckerna har valts utifrån att två förskolor tagit fram sina fem mest lästa och populära böcker bland de äldre barnen. Barnlitteraturen har analyserats genom en innehållsanalys som gjorts med ett semiotiskt angreppssätt, med inspiration av Hirdmans (2012) teori om genussystemet och genuskontraktet, Nikolajevas motsatsschema (Nikolajeva, 2017) samt utifrån ett essentialistiskt sätt att se på etnicitet. Resultatet har visat att normer som förmedlas via den analyserade barnlitteratur till stor del är stereotyp där könsnormer och vithetsnormer dominerar, trots att det även funnits böcker där dessa normer har utmanats. Slutsatser som dragits är att de analyserade barnböckerna till stor del skildrat stereotypa köns- och etnicitetsnormer vilket överensstämmer med det som tidigare forskning visat. / <p>Betyg i Ladok 240108.</p>

I denna studie genomförs en normkritisk textanalys av ett urval av Joakim Bergs texter i syfte att beskriva hur normer om etnicitet och trostillhörighet uttrycks. Vidare har studien en didaktisk funktion och syftar till att belysa hur musiklyrik kan fungera i svenskämnets critical literacy-utvecklande undervisning. Delvis för att undersöka hur texterna kan utveckla elevernas ämneskunskaper i svenska, delvis för att studera hur texterna kan utveckla förmågor relaterade till läroplanens demokratiuppdrag. Materialet för studien består av låttexterna ”Sverige” (Berg 2002), ”Våga vara rädd” (Berg 2007) och”Tennsoldater” (Berg 2016) vilka normkritiskt analyserats med fokus på bildspråks och symbolers relation till normer knutna till etnicitet och trostillhörighet. Resultatet visar att samtliga texter belyser de studerade normerna, bland annat genom bildspråk och symboler som beskriver invandring, invandringspolitik, orättvisor samt bemötande av personer utanför normen. Textanalysens resultat, i relation till gymnasieskolans styrdokument, visar att det finns stor potential för att Bergs musiklyrik kan utveckla gymnasieelevers critical literacy.

Issues regarding how gender and sexuality are represented within different discourses have gained increased attention in the past decades. Within the field of language, gender, and sexuality, topics such as sexist language, stereotypes and heteronormativity have been continuously problematised as means of sustaining societal norms. The ramification of such norms can have a negative impact on how people engage with and express their identity, especially within the context of education. Research conducted on textbooks shows problematic representations of gender and sexuality where women are disfavoured and non-binary and LGBTQ+ identities often are excluded. Whilst gender representation has become increasingly more equal, a heterosexual norm is still very much prevalent within education. In response to such issues, the pedagogical approach norm critical pedagogy emerged in Sweden a few decades ago with the aim to develop critical thinking and thus challenge discriminatory beliefs and prejudice. In the present study, the representation of gender and sexuality within education will be investigated in a Swedish context. Linguistic patterns and word choice in three ELT textbooks are analysed through two approaches to content analysis. The findings showed that there is unequal representation of gender and sexuality overall, with gender identities outside the binary and varying sexualities being predominantly excluded. Additionally, implicit linguistic patterns which reinforce gender stereotypes and further limit the scope of acceptable gender expressions emerged across all textbooks. However, the most recent book stood out by being more inclusive and engaging with issues in a way which engages critical thinking.

Flersamhet är ett svenskt begrepp som beskriver personer som lever polyamoröst, i öppna relationer eller på andra sätt har icke-monogama relationer med samtycke. Vårt samhälle har en väldigt stark monogaminorm som ofta påverkar personer som lever utanför den på ett negativt sätt. Den aktuella studien ämnade att ta reda på vilka erfarenheter personer som jobbar med psykologisk behandling (psykologer, psykoterapeuter och kuratorer eller liknande) har av att ha flersamma klienter i terapi eller behandlande samtal, samt vilka erfarenheter som är viktiga och betydelsefulla i behandling med flersamma klienter. Fyra psykologer intervjuades och data analyserades med reflexiv tematisk analys. Deltagarnas berättelser tyder på att utmaningen som behandlare står inför när det träffar flersamma klienter oftast gäller sig själva och sitt eget arbete, snarare än klienterna. De behöver förhålla sig till ideal kopplat till flersamhet, behandlarrollens ideal och hur de påverkas av samhällsnormer i stort och monogaminormen specifikt. Kunskap beskrivs som en av de viktigaste aspekterna och psykologerna behöver förhålla sig till vem som har ansvar över att tillräcklig och rätt kunskap ska finnas hos behandlarna. Det beskrivs även som en viktig aspekt att förhålla sig till sin professionella roll som behandlare och att reflektera över vad som är ett bra bemötande gentemot flersamma klienter. Resultatet visar att psykologens identitetsarbete är ett övergripande tema som deltagarna behöver förhålla sig till på ett eller annat sätt. / Consensual non-monogamy, CNM, describes people who are polyamorous, have open relationships or other non-monogamous relationships with consent. Our society has a strong monogamy-norm that often will affect people who do not conform to it, often in a negative way. The current study aimed to explore what experiences people who work with psychological treatment (psychologists, psychotherapists and counselors and the like) have of therapy with CNM clients, and which experience they deem important and meaningful in therapy with CNM clients. Four psychologists were interviewed, and the data was analyzed with reflexive thematic analysis. The participants' descriptions suggest that the challenge faced by psychologists primarily revolves around themselves and their own work, rather than the clients. They need to navigate ideals associated with CNM, the ideal role of the psychologist, and how they are influenced by societal norms at large, and monogamy in particular. Knowledge is identified as one of the crucial aspects and they need to navigate questions and concerns regarding who has responsibility that sufficient and appropriate knowledge is held by the psychologists. Another important aspect is to navigate their own professional role as psychologists and reflect on what constitutes positive treatment towards CNM clients. The findings indicate that the psychologist’s process of identity work is an overarching theme which the participants need to navigate in one way or another.
