Uppsatsen är en kvalitativ studie av bilderböcker, från 1970-talet och 2000-talet. I början av uppsatsen presenteras en historisk tillbakablick i bilderbokens historia för att skapa förståelse för hur bilderboken är uppbyggd och vad den innehåller idag. Studien behandlar olika teman i bilderböcker, förskola, döden, skilsmässa och invandring. Med fokus på ett visst tema från 1970-talet, sedan har denna jämförts med en bok från 2000-talet som analyserats med samma utgångspunkter. Inspirerade av en tidigare studie har vi utgått från följande frågor för vår analys: hur samspelar text och bild i bilderboken? Hur beskriver bilden händelsen i boken? Stämmer skildringen i boken överens med sin tid samt vad finns det för skillnader respektive likheter i våra utvalda bilderböcker inom särskilda teman, i jämförelse 1970-tal samt 2000-tal? I resultat och analys presenteras böckerna, vad de handlar om, en deskriptiv analys av vardera bok och en jämförande analys. Sedan skrivs en sammanfattande analys, då de båda tidsepokerna, 1970-tal och 2000-tal jämförs. Det vi generellt har sett är att 1970-talets bilderböcker präglas av det socialrealistiska samhället och är mer av faktakaraktär. 2000-talets bilderböcker är individualistiska, vi får höra barnens egna tankar och känslor i dessa, något tyngre ämnen inom bilderboksvärlden. Trots att dessa är lite tyngre ser vi mycket humor i böckerna, likaså blinkningar till de vuxna läsarna. I slutdiskussionen behandlas att det idag inte skrivs mycket bilderböcker på teman som exempelvis alkoholism. Sedan tas också upp huruvida bilderboken har låg status i samhället och vad detta kan innebära för framtidens barn.

Den här uppsatsen undersöker biblioteksarkitekturens utveckling från 1970 till idag. Utifrån diskursanalysens principer samt genom en traditionell arkitekturanalys redovisas bibliotekets utveckling både vad gäller funktion, utseende och placering i stadsrummet. Genom fallstudier undersöks också arkitekturen hos Norrköpings stadsbibliotek, Uppsala stadsbibliotek samt Halmstads stadsbibliotek för att exemplifiera utvecklingen och ge en utökad bild av stadsbibliotekens arkitektoniska utveckling.

This thesis is a discourse theory analysis of two feminist anthologies - Det heter feminism! and F- ordet.  By analyzing these texts through the three categories feminism & feminists, gender equality & equality and sex/gender & sexuality I have raised questions about the feminist debate in Sweden in the 21st century. The discourse theory’s ideas of descriptions of reality and fixation of meaning lies as a foundation for this thesis. The concepts of social constructionism, post structuralism and essentialism/anti essentialism are central for the analysis as well as concepts connected to the three previously mentioned categories. The intention of this thesis is to describe and analyze a fraction of the Swedish feminist debate in the 21st century and discuss its meaning in a societal context. A number of conclusions were reached in the final discussion. The differences between today’s feminist movement and the 1970’s feminist movement are connected to thoughts on a practical and a theoretical movement. It is shown how paradoxes, formed by norms and power structures in society, create a void where some people are forced to exist. Critical voices from within the movement are high lighted and connections between the feminist movement and discourse theory are established.

This essay examines how three big Swedish newspapers depicts e-sports and computer gaming and how the depiction change during 2000-2013. The study will also examine whether e-sports is being portrayed as competitive sport. The purpose is to investigate which attitudes that can be identified towards computer gaming and its culture in major newspapers such as Aftonbladet, Dagens Nyheter and Svenska Dagbladet and how these attitudes eventually changed over time.   The sources that will be used in both the quantitative and qualitative analysis are based on web articles, mainly because the paper editions does not provide much, if any, information about computer gaming and e-sports and also because of the convenience of being able to quickly find articles to study.   Results indicate that computer gaming is being depicted in a clear negative fashion during 2000-2006, and that the depiction of e-sports is somewhat positive but not as glorifying as for the years 2007-2013. During this period, there is a apparent tendency of e-sports being introduced to readers who are unfamiliar with the gaming culture. As for the attitudes towards computer gaming, the depiction is still somewhat negative, mainly because the debate about computer games and violence was revived because of several acts of violence in shape of school massacres and mass murder. Finally, there are only partial results that indicate that e-sports is being portrayed as a competitive sport, based on Allen Guttman's criteria for competitive sports.

Detektivromanen är en genre som på senare år blivit omåttligt populär. Idag kan man köpa en deckare i nästan varje kiosk och matbutik. På detta följer att omslagen i de flesta fall måste sticka ut ur mängden för att boken ska bli såld, vilket sålunda gör det intressant att undersöka vilka metoder man använder – och har använt – för att locka läsare.
