Scolarisation des élèves à Besoins Éducatifs Particuliers en milieu ordinaire et pratiques enseignantes à l’école élémentaire : Gestes d’adaptation destinés aux élèves dyslexiques et diffusion de ces gestes aux autres élèves de la classe / Schooling of children with special educational needs in mainstream establishments and teachers’ practices : Adaptation measures for dyslexic child and diffusion of adaptation measures for other pupils

Dunand, Charline 17 November 2014 (has links)
This research work deals with the school inclusion of special needs pupils and more specifically those who have been recognized as severely dyslexic. This subject is, nowadays, a real social question and an issue facing the "National Education". Since the law of February 11th, 2005 on the "Equality of rights, opportunity, partication and citizenship of handicapped persons", school inclusion in normal environments has indeed been a right for each disabled person. This research focuses on the study of teaching practices as well as teacher's perceptions when a dyslexic pupil, recognized by the "Maison Départementale des Personnes Handicapées" as disabled, is enrolled in their class (MDPH : Support centers for disabled individuals located in each department in France). In combining several resarch instruments (interviews, observations, data collection), it shows the effect of how the schooling of pupils with special educational needs, generates and develops teaching pratices and teachers' perceptions of their students and their own profession. This investigation suggests how the educational corporate body is evolving, modestly but in a tangible way, by modifying teaching practices to better an increasingly heterogeneous public.

Kustkommuners ovissa framtid : En fallstudie om skånska kustkommuners utmaningar med det stigande havet / The uncertain future of coastal communities : A case study on the challenges of coastal municipalities in Skåne facing the rising sea level

Odin, Tuan, Ahmic, Amar January 2025 (has links)
Global sea level rise is a phenomenon that is irreversible and will continue to rise for thousands of years to come. The study aims to understand how the coastal municipalities, Malmö and Trelleborg, reason about strategies and adaptation measures to address the issue of sea level rise, as well as the current governance and responsibility. The study also examines the municipalities' approach to the sea and the decision on the time perspective in planning.  The results of the study show a need for a longer time perspective, beyond 100 years, to meet the challenges of sea level rise. The current approach to the sea as an enemy therefore needs to shift in order to achieve a more effective planning. This requires, among other things, a change in approach where the sea is seen as a co-player and takes into account the dynamics of the sea, but also alternative measures based on a longer-term perspective. Challenges related to governance and the delegation of responsibilities have been identified as crucial in the work towards a more effective planning for sea level rise. Not only do we need explicit structures for governance and accountability, but also improved legislation that promotes action over inaction.

Udržitelnost produkční schopnosti území v závislosti na klimatickém suchu. / Sustainable production capabilities of territory, depending on climatic drought.

Skůpová, Jana January 2017 (has links)
In this work, I dealt with the repercussion of drought on agriculture and land in the cadastral Jinošov. For this area, I analyzed the erosion and ratio of outflow. I also conducted a proposal of adaptation measures against erosion and water retention in the area. In conclusion, I analyzed withholding data and assessed the retention before and after the proposal of adaptation measures. The result of my work is finding that rainfall is inadequate and largely come out of the growing season, that despite all the measures fail to create on the necessary retention for the correct functioning of the landscape. Therefore it is necessary to solve water supply from other areas where is sufficient supply of water.

The impact of climate change : its implications and the indigenous adaptation measures for sustainable livelihood in Dikgale Community in Limpopo Province

Chikosi, Shingai Ernesthart January 2017 (has links)
Thesis (M.A. (Anthropology)) -- University of Limpopo, 2017 / Climate change as a developmental problem warrants extensive research to provide information about its implications on the socio-economic and health conditions of rural communities and the types of local adaptation measures they have developed and used to limit its effects. There is evidence that climate change and its negative impacts are mostly felt by poor and rural communities whose economies are dependent upon favourable climatic conditions. Explanations of climate change and its threats to rural communities are among major challenges faced by scientists. Fewer studies prove that these communities are aware of change in climatic conditions and their impacts on people‘s livelihoods. The present study explored the community‘s perceptions of climate change, its impacts on the livelihoods of the community and the mechanisms developed and used by community members to adapt to the impacts of change in climatic conditions. Interviews with community members revealed that the members of Dikgale community are aware of changes in climatic conditions and how these changes impact on their livelihood. They are aware of increased temperature and erratic rainfall patterns. These changes have impacted negatively on their cultural activities. However, adaptation measures used to cope with the change are the indigenous knowledge systems which are informed by the culture and world-view of the community.

Relationship between corporate climate change adaptation and corporate financial performance

Kynast, Luisa 11 January 2024 (has links)
Any mitigation action will neglect climate change impacts (CCI) (Gillett et al., 2011: 83; Parry et al., 2009: 1102) occurring in a change of average weather patterns as well as in an increase in frequency and magnitude of extreme weather events (EWE) (IPCC, 2007: 8 and 52 f.; IPCC, 2012: 119 f.). For this thesis of special interest are businesses of the construction industry. Construction activities are carried out in an open environment which makes the construction companies´ highly impacted on weather conditions compared to many other sectors (Wedawatta et al., 2010: 364). Furthermore, the construction sector is a fundamental part in any economy (Wedawatta, et al. 2010: 365; Squicciarini and Asikainen, 2011: 672). In mitigation literature a sound amount of studies researches on the relation of corporate fi-nancial performance (CFP) and emissions. Guenther et al. (2012) analyzed empirical studies with regard to their connection between environmental and financial performance of corpo-rations whereby the majority of results implement a positive as well as negative relation. Therefore, this thesis investigates a possible association of implemented measures as re-sponse to the CC and the financial performance on a corporate level. In particular, the aim of this thesis is to analyze the association between corporate financial performance (CFP) and implemented climate change adaptation measures (CCAM) especially for companies of the construction industry. For providing a solid base for this point of interest the affection for construction businesses by CC and the response to the CCI of construction businesses is in-vestigated in addition. For the investigation of an association between CCAM and CFP the statistical methodology of regression was applied. The results clearly support the raised hypothesizes by computing a relationship between these variables in both directions. The results gained in this thesis stress adaptation to CC as a crucial proxy to handle CCI by mitigating risks and exploiting oppor-tunities. Nevertheless, still a reluctant attitude of businesses exists for the implementation of CCAM. This was found in literature and could be reassured by the results of the content analysis since businesses connote CCAM often with increasing cost and expenses and do not draw back on the effect on financial performance. This thesis found a positive effect of im-plemented CCAM on ROA on the short-run. These findings do refer to appropriate CCAM in terms of the right amount. For the opposite direction it was investigated, that if a construc-tion business is financially impacted by CC, an increase in slack causes the implementation of adaptation measures. By the implementation of adaptation measures the dependency from environmental changes is increased (RDT) and the companies´ structure becomes more het-erogenic (RBV). Financial slack is proved to be important to keep the company flexible in taking action. Especially, if a company is financially impacted by CCI financial slack is used for implementing measures.:1 Introduction 2 Theory 2.1 Resource Dependence Theory 2.2 Resource Based View 2.3 Organizational Slack 3 State of Research 3.1 Introduction to Climate Change Adaptation 3.2 Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Literature dealing with CFP 3.3 Financial Implication of CCI and CCAM 3.4 Climate Change Impacts and Adaptations Measures on Construction Enterprises 3.4.1 Construction Enterprises and their specific Value Chain 3.4.2 CCI on Construction Enterprises 3.4.3 CCAM for Construction Enterprises 3.5 Hypothesis development 4 Methodology 4.1 Content Analysis 4.2 Regression Analysis 4.2.1 Multiple Linear Regression Analysis 4.2.2 Poisson and Negative Binominal Regression Analysis 4.3 Model description 4.3.1 Operationalization of the Content Analysis 4.3.2 Operationalization of the Regression Analysis 5 Results 5.1 Results of the Content Analysis 5.2 Results of the Regression Analysis 5.2.1 Results of the Multiple Linear Regression 5.2.2 Results of the Negative Binomial Regression 6 Discussion, Limitation, and Further Research 6.1 Discussion of Results for the Association between CFP and CCAM 6.2 Limitations and Further Research 7 Conclusion

Šachová, Barbora January 2013 (has links)
CLIMATIC CHANGE EFFECT ON HYDROLOGICAL DROUGHT IN THE OTAVA RIVER HEADWATERS Abstract The submitted thesis deals with hydrological drought in condition of climate change in Otava River headwaters. The topic is discussed from four different aspects that together create a complex view on the hydrological drought issues in the catchment. The first aspect, the hydrological drought analysis in daily series, is done by threshold level method and SPA. Second aspect studies the impact of climate change on the hydrological drought by using the BILAN model. Following aspect determines a prediction of low flows and deficit volumes during drought by the recession analysis. Final aspect suggests relating process of management, planning and adaptation measures on drought. Key words: hydrological drought, minimal discharges, deficit volumes, BILAN model, climatic change, recession analysis, Otava River, Modrava, Rejštejn, Sušice, adaptation measures
