The subject of this diploma thesis is gender analysis of the main female characters in Bozena Nemcova's The Grandmother. The Grandmother, as a literary work that occupies an important place in Czech literary canon, was not examined from a gender perspective in Czech literature until this time. In this thesis I focused on the main female characters who play very important role and to whom is given wide space in the story. During analyzing the literary characters I worked with the selected feminist theories that I introduce in detail in theoretical and methodological part. This part is also dedicated to theoretical and methodological resources that I use in this thesis, particularly to women's reading and archetypal theories. This thesis is being examined from receptionist reader's view. I focus here primarily on presence of gender stereotypes, reproduction of values and norms of patriarchal system, and I also focus on presence of feminine archetypes that can be read from description of female characters. Significant passages in Alice Walker's writings give evidence of archetypal patterns from Carl Jung and feminine archetypal patterns from Annis Pratt. Since a knowledge of archetypal patterns can influence the total understanding of aspects of Walker's writings, a study of these patterns in the undergraduate classroom benefits the student and opens up another system of analyzing writings, particularly writings by African-American women.

Purpose – The purpose of this study is to propose a conceptual framework and research agenda for the development of sustainable business models for companies in the software industry. Methodology – The study was implemented by using primary and secondary data in the methodology. The primary data entailed a qualitative approach where in-depth interviews with five software companies was conducted. The secondary data included a literature review of relevant topics and grey literature from the interviewed companies. Findings – This study proposes a modified set of sustainable business model archetypes for the software industry. The software-specific archetypes are Maximize energy efficiency with renewables and natural processes, Create value from waste, Deliver software as a service, Adopt a stewardship role, Encourage sustainability, Repurpose for the society/environment and Develop scale up solutions. Implications – The revised set of archetypes have been developed in order to set a theoretical framework that can be practiced by software companies to develop their sustainability work. Therefore, this study provides practitioners with a streamlined framework to develop clear sustainable guidelines, activities, principles and goals towards a sustainable business model. Originality / value – This study proposes a conceptual framework on how software companies can develop a sustainable business model with a practical and theoretical foundation. The study proposes a research approach that has not been conducted in the software industry before, using the eight archetypes as an analysis tool. The suggested framework of this study therefore presents unique industry-specific archetypes for the software industry, created by the authors of this study.

This Diploma Thesis "Moral Aspects of Fairy Tales" asks questions - Is it possible to find God's message in the fairy tales? Can God speak to us through these stories? Can the fairy tales be touched by history of redemption? In the beginning, this Diploma Thesis speaks about myth, about it's origin, functions and message, because the fairy tales have their roots in myth. For better apprehension of the fairy tales, there is used the theory of narrative as well as theory and history of fairy tales. The Diploma Thesis analyzes Jung's Archetypes. Archetypes help us to find messages for good life of human beeing in fairy tales. Another issue is "History of mankind as a chain of storries." This issue asks, why there is just few functions in the stories. It analyzes Jesus Christ as the first example of a main hero of fairy tales ant myths. The mankind should follow him in it's own storry. Universality of the storries is demonstrated in comparing of stories from Old Testament (Jonas, Jakob and Eliah) with motives in the fairy tales. The aim of my work is at first characterized show female and male characters in the work named Orodovnice of feminist writer Jana Juranova and at second means of characterizing interpret and analyze what can be images of femininity and masculinity, this work offers to us through archetypal analysis and analysis of the relational nature of each character. Bacis hypothesis of this work is, that to us work offers a subversive potential in the context of contemporary social and cultural discursive practises and values. Nonlinear films display unconventional narratives that leave ambiguous endings that create rewatchability, making audiences want to rewatch and review the films. These films also create conversation on social media outlets and infiltrate discussion on popular culture. This rhetorical analysis examines narrative structure, narrative archetypes, and paratextuality of three nonlinear Christopher Nolan films: Inception, Interstellar, and Tenet. By examining how these different forms of narrative display the moral messaging and structure within each film, this analysis provides context in how nonlinear narratives promote rewatchability and create continuous paratexts. Through Nolan's films, nonlinear film styles create more than rewatchability as Nolan specifically uses narrative archetypes to create character archetypes. The character archetypes produce multiple narratives that allow different viewpoints for audiences. These three different films also explain that there is a thin line between ambiguous endings and rewatchability for these types of films.

Cette thèse est née d’un vide documentaire autour de tout un pan de l’œuvre de Duras : ses ultimes années (1980-1996), année parfois décriées, alors qu’elles nous paraissent sa période la plus aboutie. Duras, dans cette dernière période, a écarté toute velléité psychologisante et a préféré structurer ses récits autour de certains archétypes (comme l’archétype de l’homme idéal incarné par Andréa, le petit frère ou Ernesto) tout en décalage avec les modes et notre temps en général. Ce retour à une littérature archaïque participe à la recherche de Duras d’une « féminologie » plus radicale que chez Antoinette Fouque. Mais qui, comme chez cette dernière, a à voir avec la sorcière de Michelet. Seule, la sorcière est capable de percevoir l’indicible et de le retranscrire, non par la magie du Verbe (schéma tout droit emprunté du logos du Dieu-mâle), mais la force du non-dit. Cette abdication devant la rhétorique, Duras l’a alors faite sienne. Ainsi, l’homme longtemps attendu, Yann Andréa, vient compléter la romancière. Cet archétype, en se faisant chair, insuffle en elle de la recréation littéraire, comme il en allait pour les dames du Moyen-Âge inspirées par leur jeune champion. Notre approche inédite de Duras tente à montrer comment elle a traité de la manière archaïque/anachronique ce que d’autres considèrent comme les problèmes contemporains du couple. Il ressort de ce décalage sciemment cultivé par Duras une dialectique que nous appelons : « dynamique du masculin/ féminin dans la dernière période de la création littéraire de Marguerite Duras (1980-1996) à travers ses romans et récits ». / The idea for this thesis arose from a certain documentary void regarding a whole segment of Duras' work : her final years...despite being a period in which she often came in for harsh criticism, seem to us her most fruitful and accomplished, during which she avoided dwelling on the psychology of her protagonists, and opted for a narrative structure based more upon certain archetypes (such as that of the ideal man, epitomised by Andréa, the younger brother, or Ernesto) hence going against modern trends. This return to an archaic style of literature is symptomatic of Duras' quest for an even more radical "feminology" than that of Antoinette Fouque. But is similar in its connection with Michelet's witch.Only the witch/sorcerer is capable of detecting the unspeakable and retranscribing it, not by the magic of the Word (directly borrowed from the male-God logos) but by the force of the unsaid. Thus Duras assumes this abdication in the face of rhetoric. So the long-awaited male, Yann Andrea, finally joins the novelist. This flesh and blood archetype inspires in her a new sense of literary ceativity like certains ladies in the Middle Ages inspired by their champions.Our novel approach to Duras tries to show how she treated in an archaic/anachronistic way what others considered as the couple's contemporary problems. What emerges from this carefully crafted discrepancy is a form of dialectic we'll call "The dynamic of masculine/feminine in the last period of literary creativity of M.D. through her novels and narratives.

This thesis contributes to the digital and narrative turn in International Relations, supplying a response to the inquiry ‘Which strategic narratives have emerged in Ukraine’s digital diplomacy following the February 2022 Russian invasion?’ The paper observed how the field of politics is revitalised by the interplay between political communication during times of incertitude, digital diplomacy and the trend of personalisation. The thesis evaluated different approaches taken by prior theorists of these spheres and leveraged their knowledge in order to respond to the research question. The treatise employed a qualitative content analysis upon 12 presidential speeches, 4 parliament addresses and 10 social media posts. This content was published by Ukrainian elite political figures during the initial phase of the war, between February 24th and March 29th, 2022. This methodology generated three national identity archetypes (NIAs): the ‘hero’, the ‘partner’ and the ‘victim’. The treatise further conceived Ukrainian’s strategic narratives mechanism composed of distinct values, objectives, demands, target recipients, channels and ensuing initiatives, adjacent to these three NIAs, pillars of Kyiv’s political communication. The paper concludes with future directions for strategic narrative research deriving from the experiences of the Russo-Ukrainian conflict.

This research study explores the influence of perceived fairness on players' playstyle in multiplayer card games. The study focuses on a card game called "Insomnia" and its modified versions to investigate players' perceptions of fairness and their subsequent behavior. Two series of playtests were conducted with different groups of participants, and data were collected through gameplay observations and semi-structured group interviews. Thematic analysis was performed on the collected data, comparing findings with existing literature to provide insights into fairness in card games and the consequent playstyles. The results reveal that players adapt their strategies and playstyles when the game becomes difficult and unfair, shifting towards cooperative actions and helping others. Furthermore, the study shows that their goals, motivations, and perceived fairness influence players' preferences and behaviors. The findings underscore the interplay between fairness, playstyle archetypes, and player behavior in multiplayer card games. The study emphasizes the significance of understanding individual motivations, social dynamics, and game design elements in shaping player experiences. It suggests that game designers should consider the complexity of player decision-making and the intricate relationship between motivations and perceptions of fairness to foster engaging gameplay.
