韋柏分配下規格下限與X-bar 管制圖之經濟設計 / Economic design of specification limit and X-bar control chart under Weibull distribution

Tsai, Wei Lun Unknown Date (has links)
To determine the economic design of control charts and the specification limits with minimum cost are two separate issues in previous research areas. In this study, we proposed a method to determine the optimal design parameters of X control charts and the specification limits simultaneously from an economic viewpoint. We also consider two types of X control charts: one is the economic X control chart and the other is the economic statistical X control chart. We obtain the optimal results by minimizing the expected cost per unit time for the-larger-the-better quality characteristic with a Weibull distribution. We consider the asymmetric control limits because of the asymmetric feature of theWeibull distribution. Also, we are considering the difference between monitoring the process by using an economic statistical X control chart and conducting a complete inspection plan. Which way is better, process control or inspection plan? In our data analysis of the two types of X control chart, we find that the optimal expected cost per unit time with complete inspection is lower than without complete inspection. This is because the coefficient of Taguchi’s quadratic loss function we set is too small. And the analysis shows us the significant parameters for the optimal expected cost per unit time and design parameters. At last, in our numerical examples for two different types of X control chart, we find that the performance of the economic X control chart is as good as the economic statistical one. However, we suggest the producer use the economic statistical X control chart with a complete inspection plan to obtain a lower expected cost per unit time and larger power of the control chart.

Additively manufactured metallic cellular materials for blast and impact mitigation

Harris, Jonathan Andrew January 2018 (has links)
Selective laser melting (SLM) is an additive manufacturing process which enables the creation of intricate components from high performance alloys. This facilitates the design and fabrication of new cellular materials for blast and impact mitigation, where the performance is heavily influenced by geometric and material sensitivities. Design of such materials requires an understanding of the relationship between the additive manufacturing process and material properties at different length scales: from the microstructure, to geometric feature rendition, to overall dynamic performance. To date, there remain significant uncertainties about both the potential benefits and pitfalls of using additive manufacturing processes to design and optimise cellular materials for dynamic energy absorbing applications. This investigation focuses on the out-of-plane compression of stainless steel cellular materials fabricated using SLM, and makes two specific contributions. First, it demonstrates how the SLM process itself influences the characteristics of these cellular materials across a range of length scales, and in turn, how this influences the dynamic deformation. Secondly, it demonstrates how an additive manufacturing route can be used to add geometric complexity to the cell architecture, creating a versatile basis for geometry optimisation. Two design spaces are explored in this work: a conventional square honeycomb hybridised with lattice walls, and an auxetic stacked-origami geometry, manufactured and tested experimentally here for the first time. It is shown that the hybrid lattice-honeycomb geometry outperformed the benchmark metallic square honeycomb in terms of energy absorption efficiency in the intermediate impact velocity regime (approximately 100 m/s). In this regime, the collapse is dominated by dynamic buckling effects, but wave propagation effects have yet to become pronounced. By tailoring the fold angles of the stacked origami material, numerical simulations illustrated how it can be optimised for specific impact velocity regimes between 10-150 m/s. Practical design tools were then developed based on these results.

Vidareutveckling av grafkomponent / Further Development of Graph Component

Silverlycke, Peter January 2012 (has links)
This report covers the further development of a chart component. The component could display a linechart with real number datapoints at the beginning. The chart component was part of as software called Tunnel Manager, developed by Sogeti for Atlas Copco. Tunnel Manager is used in combination with Atlas Copcos drilling rig Boomer. The charts added were barchart with support for several dataseries, stacked barchart with support for stacked dataseries and piechart. A new datapoint type for date and time was added. Grouping of data for the barcharts was also added.  Extended information was shown when the mouse pointer was held over a diagram, a tooltip. Zoom and panning in the charts was implemented, allowing the user to view some parts in detail.  The report also covers an investigation. The investigation finds out what kind of information, and what kinds of charts Atlas Copco had need of in the future in Tunnel Manager. There was a great need for displaying information in charts to get a good base for decision making. The information was needed for planning and maintenance of the drilling rigs.  When a lot of information is gathered from different sources a good way is needed for compilation and displaying of the information. Charts are a very good way of doing this. The carts need to follow a set of basic rules to be trustworthy. For example if several charts is to be compared, they need to have the same scale, to make it easier to compare. The further development of the chart component took these rules into account and it made it suitable for usage in production.

Développement d’outils innovants pour l'étude de l’infection chronique / Development of innovative tools for the study of chronic infection

Berrou, Kevin 30 January 2019 (has links)
One of the major challenges in the management of diabetic foot wounds is to obtain information to anticipate the evolution of these infections. Currently, there are no sufficiently effective tools to distinguish a colonized wound to an infected wound. The proposed approach is based on the discrimination of several bacteria frequently found in chronic diabetic foot wounds from their metabolic profile, and more specifically the volatile metabolites they produce. Indeed, the dynamism of bacterial metabolism would be able to highlight the changes that are occurring in the wound. First, a new methodology for the concentration of volatile metabolites by Stir Bar Sorptive Extraction (SBSE) was developed. It is based on the use of stir bars that are placed both in the culture medium and in headspace, followed by GC-MS analysis. The method was then compared with another concentration method using the fibres (SPME) and we highlighted a better concentration capacity with a more sensitive detection. This methodology was then used to monitor the metabolic production of six bacterial strains grown under conditions mimicking the chronic wound. Their metabolic profile allowed us to distinguish bacterial species. Moreover, more surprisingly, it was possible to distinguish two strains of Staphylococcus aureus with different virulence profiles. Finally, a co-culture was performed and we showed that 83% of the metabolites produced in simple culture were found, proving the interest of the methodology to distinguish bacterial strains of the same species within a wound.

Théories homotopiques des algèbres unitaires et des opérades / Homotopy theories of unital algebras and operads

Le Grignou, Brice 14 September 2016 (has links)
Tout ceci permet de relier explicitement deux mondes des opérades supérieures / This thesis deals with the homotopical properties of algebras over an operad, of operads themselves andof colored operads, in the framework of chain complexes. We introduce a new bar-cobar adjunctionbetween unital operads and curved conilpotent cooperads. This allows us to endow the latter with aDépôt de thèseDonnées complémentairesmodel structure induced by the projective model structure on operads along this adjunction, which thenbecomes a Quillen-equivalence. This result allows us to study the homotopy theory of operads in theworld of cooperads which is more powerful: for instance, fibrant-cofibrant objects can be described interms of operads up to homotopy. We then apply the same strategy to algebras over an operad. Morespecifically, we endow the category of coalgebras over the Koszul dual cooperad with a model structureinduced by that of the category of algebras along their bar-cobar adjunction, which becomes a Quillenequivalence. This allows us to describe explicitly for the first time some homotopy properties of algebrasover a not necessarily augmented operad. In the last part, we introduce the notion of homotopy coloredoperad that we compare to Moerdijk--Weiss' infinity-operads by means of a functor: the dendroidalnerve. We show that it extends existing constructions due to Lurie and Faonte and we study itshomotopical properties. In particular, we show that its restriction to colored operads is a right Quillenfunctor. All this allows us to connect explicitly two different worlds of higher operads
