Raisonnement par analogie et son développement : rôle des fonctions exécutives et du but de la tâche / Analogical reasoning and its development : role of executive functions and the goal of the taskGlady, Yannick 16 December 2013 (has links)
This manuscript develops an issue related to the involvement of goal management capabilities and executive functions in this type of reasoning and its development. The first three experiments examine this issue in two tasks of analogical reasoning, the scene analogy task and the A:B::C:? task, through the study of visual strategies used by adults, and children aged 6-to-7. The results show differences in visual patterns related to goals, and to the inhibition of irrelevant information for the solution of the problems, between the different tasks, and between children and adults. The following two experiments study the visual strategies, always in relation to executive functioning and goal management, in an A:B::C:? task whose difficulty is manipulated to highlight the difference in involvement of monitoring and evaluation processes. The results do show an effect of the difficulty of the test and the type of distractor in the visual strategies employed. Finally, the last three experiments investigate the involvement of cognitive flexibility, one of the executive functions, in the analogical reasoning of preschool children (5-6-year-olds), limited in their flexibility. The results show that their early anchoring in a type of representation, relevant or not to the solution of the problem, is related to their ability to solve the problem later, and thus suggest a difficulty in shifting their representation during the resolution of the problems. These results are finally discussed in relation to models of analogical reasoning and of the development of this ability, especially those integrating goal management and executive functions.

Les associations du support à la firme : applications au secteur de l'hôtellerie-restauration / Non profit organizations support to firm : applications to the hotels and restaurants sectorLefevre, Jean-Christophe 25 November 2013 (has links)
The voluntary sector has taken an important place in our contemporary societies. It is a topic of study for sociology. The increase of the collective, social and public sphere also makes of the association, a useful organization for the Civil Society and the Firm.Under various names, she was imperative to regulate occupations, jobs, businesses, commercial activities, products, markets and even firms. In the sector of Coffees, Hotels and Restaurants, the strategic potential of associations of support to the firm such as the Company of France’s Best Workers, the advertising cooperatives of the franchise networks, the Escoffier’s Followers, the Hospitality Modernization French Committee or the ACCOR Franchisees Federation is analyzed. Four groups of theories (sociological theories, theories of the nature of the association, Institutions theories and Organizations theories) allows to highlight its purpose and its utility to the firm. At the appropriate specificities of this type of organization corresponds an independent management approach which borrows from the management of the public and private affairs.

L'implicite dans la requête adressée à un moteur de recherche Web / The implicit in query sent to Web engineZouhri, Talal 04 July 2013 (has links)
The object of our study is the query, sent to a Web search engine, by an Internet user. We aim to reach a better understanding of the phase of information seeking located between the information need and the query formulation. Our thesis is based on two core hypotheses, all related to the query. Firstly, we considered that the query expressed partially the user’s information need and therefore contain an implicit part. Secondly, we also considered that the implicit part can be used by the users in their query formulation tactics. We notably analyzed 61 students’ speech about their search intent. The speech was based mainly on a semantic level (the terms representing the topic of the research) and a pragmatic level (composed of an only purpose or purpose and of many under purposes). The terms representing the semantic level could be rather completely or partially formulated in the query but those representing the pragmatic level weren’t formulated. This situation of communication is similar to a negotiation between the Web search engine and the user. The search engine Web tries to have elements on user’s information need and the user tries to obtain, from a contents explicitly formulated in his query, a set of information in order to progress on his resolution of its problem

Experimentální a výpočetní výzkum vlastností solí pro jaderné reaktory typu MSR z pohledu jaderných dat / Experimental and calculational salts' properties investigation for MSR reactors from nuclear data point-of-viewBurian, Jiří January 2021 (has links)
Nowadays there is research into molten salt reactors. The use of chlorine-based salts, which would be more available than known fluoride salts, is envisaged. The subject of research is not only the chemical and physical properties of chloride salts, but also their behavior in the neutron field and the influence of neutron balance inside the reactor. Many properties can also be determined using calculations that draw information from scientific nuclear libraries (endf). The purpose of this work is to compare important nuclear libraries with each other, and also to compare the reaction rates calculated from the library data with the reaction rates obtained by self-measurement. The preview will include a description of the necessary activities associated with the preparation of measurements, instructions for compiling the computer program NJOY and the process of the measurement itself. At the end of the work will be summarized the results and statements of which nuclear library is the closest in its values to the results of experiments.

Delicious Sustainability? : Synergies and goal conflicts between eating quality and environmental sustainability in Swedish beef productionResare Sahlin, Kajsa January 2018 (has links)
Improved production and reduced consumption of beef is often highlighted as key aspects for tackling sustainability issues of the food system because the environmental impact of beef is ~100 times higher than plant-based foods. Both scientist and civil society organisations argue that eating “less but better” beef is important for sustainability. Better quality can encompass better eating quality as well as improved sustainability, but despite the two being very important for overall quality, very little research on interactions between them exists. No tools, applicable in Sweden, allowing for joint assessment have been developed. This study investigates the synergies and trade-offs between eating quality and environmental sustainability by using Swedish beef production as a case study. It reviews peer reviewed literature on factors that contribute to eating quality (flavour, tenderness and juiciness), and four factors that contribute to environmental sustainability (climate, biodiversity, feed/food competition and animal welfare). Based on the findings, an indicator-based sustainability assessment framework and a meat quality grading scheme differentiating Premium and Standard eating quality is developed, aimed to be practical tools for Swedish beef assessments. The study provides a systems-based understanding of synergies and trade-offs that may occur when “less but better” is presented as a strategy for tackling the environmental impact of beef. Results show that there are synergies between eating quality and biodiversity, animal welfare and with the right choices of feed, feed/food competition but with consequent trade-offs with climate impact. The discussion addresses the potential of enhanced eating quality to increase the profitability of Swedish beef production without consequent substantial negative impact on sustainability. The suggested methods have the potential to facilitate a shift from quantity- to quality-based consumption, but further empirical studies are required.
