Por trás dos parreirais : embates da paisagem cultural vinícola e a urbanização - Vale dos Vinhedos | Bento Gonçalves | RS

A paisagem vinícola é a expressão do trabalho do homem sobre o território, no qual imprime sua identidade cultural e marca a fixação de sua história ao longo do tempo. O objetivo desta pesquisa é investigar as modificações de uma paisagem historicamente produtiva localizada em um território vinícola certificado, o Vale dos Vinhedos, em Bento Gonçalves, RS, e seu gradativo processo de transformação. O estudo analisa esse processo, mostrando como a urbanização crescente, determinada pela também crescente valorização da terra, tem conduzido a uma grande perda dos valores culturais do território. Sob a luz da história, é discutido todo o percurso da transformação da paisagem, que vai da plantação dos primeiros parreirais, com a chegada dos imigrantes italianos à região, o surgimento dos primeiros núcleos urbanos até a recente urbanização, que passa a agregar um novo valor ao território. Esta transformação vem colocando em risco um legado de anos de história, na construção dessa paisagem singular. Estabelecer um sinal de alerta quanto ao problema é mais um dos objetivos aqui traçados. / The landscape that results from wine-producing activities is the expression of human work upon a territory, where man prints his cultural identity and retains his history throughout time. The aim of this research is to investigate the changes in a historically producing landscape, placed in a certified wine-producing territory, “Vale dos Vinhedos” (Vineyards Valley) – Bento Gonçalves, RS and its gradual transformation process. This case study analyses this process showing how the increasing urbanization, determined by the also increasing land value, brings about a remarkable loss of cultural values of this same territory. In the light of History, the whole route of landscape transformation is discussed. This route begins when the first vines are planted during the Italian immigrants’ arrival to the region, continues with the initial urban settlements and reaches the current urbanization process, which sets new land value standards to the analyzed territory. This current transformation has been threatening years of historic legacy developed during the formation of this unique landscape. Alerting to this problem is also one of the objectives hear focused.

O Brasil é um dos grandes produtores mundiais de minério de ferro e exporta a maior parte da sua produção. No comércio internacional é importante assegurar a comparabilidade dos resultados analíticos obtidos em diferentes laboratórios. Uma variação de 0,1 % na média do teor de ferro pode aumentar ou diminuir em muito o valor de um grande carregamento de minério. Assim, os sistemas de garantia da qualidade dos laboratórios necessitam de materiais de referência. Este trabalho estudou a preparação de um lote de minério de ferro (pelotizado) como material de referência, certificando os teores de vários constituintes por meio de um programa interlaboratorial. Treze laboratórios participaram do programa e dezoito componentes do minério tiveram seus teores certificados: Fetotal (65,1%), SiO2 (2,76%), Al2O3 (0,46%), TiO2 (0,056%), P (0,026%), S (0,003%), MnO (0,094%), CaO (3,31%), MgO (0,043%), K2O (0,013%), Ba (0,004%), Zn (13 mg/kg), Cu (10 mg/kg), Co (12 mg/kg), Cr (56 mg/kg), Pb (15 mg/kg), Ni (14 mg/kg), V (48 mg/kg). / Brazil is one of the great worldwide iron ore producers and exports most of its production. In the international trade it is important to make sure the comparison of the analytical results among different laboratories. A variation of 0,1% in the average of the iron content can increase or decrease the value of a large ore shipment. Thus, the quality guarantee systems of the laboratories need certified reference materials. The aim of this work was the preparation an amount of iron ore (pellets) as reference material, being certified content of some constituents through an interlaboratory program. Thirteen laboratories participated of the program and eighteen components of the ore had its content certified: Fetotal (65,1%), SiO2 (2,76%), Al2O3 (0,46%), TiO2 (0,056%), P (0,026%), S (0,003%), MnO (0,094%), CaO (3,31%), MgO (0,043%), K2O (0,013%), Ba (0,004%), Zn (13 mg/kg), Cu (10 mg/kg), Co (12 mg/kg), Cr (56 mg/kg), Pb (15 mg/kg), Ni (14 mg/kg), V (48 mg/kg).

The conclusion contains the evaluation of company existing marketing strategy and it recommends some partial potential improvements.

Vývoj kosmetického krému vyhovující standardům certifikace CPK / Development of cosmetic cream fulfilling standards of CPK certification

The aim of this diploma thesis is to propose a recipe of natural BB-creams with the desired properties (different color shades, that will be suitable for Central European skin type; flow properties, texture, spreadability, stability). The experimental part of the thesis is mainly focused on the development of BB-cream formulas. Several different formulations with diverse dispersion medium (water and aloe vera/water in a suitable ratio) have been proposed, and three different shades of BB-cream have been developed. The flow properties (viscosity) of the samples were measured, accelerated stability tests were realized by using the dispersion analyzer LUMISizer, the obtained results were correlated with the results of stress temperature tests. The results of the rheological analysis showed that the flow properties of the creams are comparable with commercially available preparations. Stress temperature tests have shown that prepared samples remain stable over 4 cycles (12 weeks) of changing storage temperature, accelerated destabilization tests performed by LUMISizer confirmed their stability. The colour coordinates of the developed shades were measured using a spectrophotometer and compared with commercial analogues. Also the questionnaire for sensory evaluation of preparations for more comprehensive analysis of prepared BB-creams was developed. The 25 female respondents of different ages participated in servey. The results of sensory evaluation showed that textural properties of developed creams are satisfactory for potential consumers.

Training Behavior Professionals to Use the Interview-Informed Synthesized Contingency Analysis (IISCA): Extension

The current investigation replicated and extended previous research on training of behavior professionals to implement functional assessment and analysis procedures. Specifically, the study extended procedures described by Metras to train board certified behavior analysts (BCBAs) to administer two components of the Interview Informed Synthesized Contingency Analyses (IISCA) by: (1) conducting the study in the context of a large residential/training facility for adults with ID, (2) including a participant who served as a behavior analyst for a caseload of individuals who lived and received services at the facility, and (3) adjusting the vignettes and interview scripts to reflect the change in context. This current study shows that, following a brief training sequence, the participant was able to accurately administer the open-ended interview and construct a synthesized test and control condition.

The Relationship between Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists' Emotional Intelligence and Burnout

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) administer more than 43 million anesthetics within the United States and practice in every setting where there is anesthesia. Stress and burnout can be a common problem for CRNAs. The purpose of this correlation study was to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence (EI) and burnout syndrome among CRNAs. The research questions assessed CRNAs and the relationship between EI and burnout syndrome, the burnout score and the four dimensions of EI, and EI and the three dimensions of burnout. Certified and recertified CRNAs (N = 506) completed the Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale, the Maslach Burnout Inventory, and a demographics survey. The results of a correlation analysis and linear regression indicate that there is a correlation between EI and burnout syndrome for CRNAs and when increasing the EI score by one unit, a 20% reduction in burnout occurs. A relationship also exists between the burnout score and the four dimensions of EI for CRNAs, with self-emotion appraisal and regulation of emotion statistically significant (p < 0.05). Each component of burnout syndrome correlated with a CRNA's EI score, with diminished personal accomplishment having the strongest correlation (r = .451; p < 0.05). EI is present for CRNAs, and there is an inverse relationship with burnout syndrome, which is a new contribution to the literature. Regarding positive social change, results may yield modifications in the education of Student Registered Nurse Anesthetist (SRNA) or opportunities for CRNAs to build additional EI skills. This study offers healthcare administrators insight that EI is a factor in reducing burnout and beneficial to increasing wellness of the healthcare staff.

Miljöcertifieringar av byggnader är ett led i arbetet med attminska den mänskliga påverkan på miljön inom fastighetsbranschen.Akademiska Hus är ett svenskt och statligt ägt fastighetsbolag som förvaltaruniversitets- och högskolelokaler. Bolaget arbetar aktivt med att minska sinmiljöpåverkan och ett av verktygen i det arbetet är att företaget certifierar samtliganybyggnationer och större ombyggnationer med det svenska certifieringssystemetMiljöbyggnad.Den här studien redovisar hur hyresnivån inom Akademiska Hus fastighetsbeståndpåverkas av att en byggnad är miljöcertifierad. Studien har genomförts genom attskapa statistisk modell baserad på en rad olika variabler som förklarar hyresnivån. Dendata som använts är baserad på hyreskontrakt och attribut för de byggnader somkontrakten tillhör.Resultatet visar att en miljöcertifierad byggnad inom Akademiska Husfastighetsbestånd har tio procent högre hyresnivå i jämförelse med övriga byggnader.Resultatet ligger i linje med både förväntningar och vad tidigare liknande studier visat. / The construction and real estate industry accounts for a significant proportion of theemissions that are directly hazardous to the environment. Environmental certificationsof buildings are part of the work to reduce the human impact on the environmentwithin the real estate industry.Akademiska Hus is a Swedish and state-owned property company that managesuniversity premises. The company works actively to reduce its environmental impactand one of the tools in this process is that the company certifies all new constructionand major renovations with the Swedish certification system Miljöbyggnad.This study reports on how the rent level within Akademiska Hus real estate portfolio isaffected by the fact that a building is certified. This study has been carried out bycreating a statistical model based on a variety of variables that explain the rent level.The data used is based on rental contracts and attributes for the buildings to which thecontract belong.The result shows that an environmental certified building within Akademiska Hus realestate portfolio has a ten percent higher rent level compared to other buildings. Theresult was in line with both expectations and what previous similar studies have shown.

The Development of a Certified Nursing Assistant English for Specific Purposes Curriculum: Teaching Materials and Methods

After careful review of English for Specific Purposes (ESP) and English for Medical Purposes (EMP) literature, I assisted in the development of a curriculum for an ESP Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Preparation course. The course participants were non-native English speaking employees of Utah Valley Regional Medical Center (UVRMC), currently working in the department of housekeeping, wanting to further their employment opportunities. The ESP CNA Preparation course was 12 weeks duration, three days per week, 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm. My contribution to the curriculum was the development of teaching materials and methods and I used two guiding questions to assist in the development of the materials: • What form should effective materials take for an ESP CNA preparation course? • How effective were these materials? From all the ESP / EMP related literature that I reviewed, I found three studies (Orr, 2002; Bosher & Smallkowski, 2002; Dias, 1999) that had a strong emphasis, closely related to our curriculum, on different aspects of materials development. The literature provided a basis for the outline of materials to be developed for the ESP CNA Preparation course. An in-depth needs and situational analysis, close observation of the CNA course and ongoing Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) coursework, added to the basis established from the review of literature. The CNA course gave the project team opportunities to observe what English skills a non-native English speaker (NNES) would need to participate appropriately, and with different people observing we gathered different perspectives. The materials development process reviews the types (e.g., lesson plans, activities, worksheets, audio etc) and purpose of materials developed. After two week increments of the ESP CNA Preparation course, I critically reviewed the things that I learned from the use of my materials (e.g., lesson plan format, time allocations, teaching methodology, materials that did not enhance language skills etc). My materials went through a refining process. Three things I learned from this project are: • To teach an effective ESP curriculum, an ESL and a content expert are required. • Materials developed for an ESP course come from a variety of sources. • The development of materials is a progressional process.

Den här uppsatsen behandlar inskolningen till VVS-montör och huvudfrågan som ställts är hur VVS-montörerna upplever att de tagit till sig de praktiska färdigheter och de teoretiska kunskaper som behövs till att bli certifierad VVS-montör och när de uppfattar att de kände yrkesidentitet. Metoden som använts är kvalitativ och i huvudsak induktiv. Det empiriska materialet baseras på semistrukturerade intervjuer med åtta nyligen certifierade VVS-montörer. Tidigare forskning har visat att det finns ett starkt fokus på att förmedla yrkesidentitet på yrkesutbildningar och att ett praktiskt yrke handlar om att lära sig en kultur lika mycket som att lära sig det praktiska yrket och att mycket av det som lärs ut är så kallad tyst kunskap. Denna uppsats pekar på att teori och praktik följs åt under utbildningens gång. För vissa personer behöver teorin komma först för att de lättare ska kunna ta till sig det praktiska och tvärt om. Vidare visade det sig att det var väldigt lite teoretisk undervisning under lärlingstiden och lärlingarna arbetar nästan uteslutande med den teoretiska instuderingen på egen hand under den perioden. Resultatet är relevant för att kunna förbättra utbildningen för praktiska utbildningar. Bland annat genom att bli bättre på att växla mellan teori och praktik under grundutbildningen men också genom att lägga in mer teoriutbildning i fortbildningstiden / This thesis deals with the training towards becoming a plumber and the main question that has been asked is how the plumbers feel that they have acquired the practical skills and theoretical knowledge needed to become a certified plumber and when they feel they identify with their profession. The method used is qualitative and essentially inductive. The empirical material is based on semi-structured interviews with eight newly certified plumbers. Previous research has shown that there is a strong focus on imparting professional identity in vocational education and that a practical profession is about learning a culture as much as learning the practical profession and that much of what is taught is so-called tacit knowledge. This essay points out that theory and practice go together during the education. For some people, the theory needs to come first for them to absorb more easily the practical and vice versa. Furthermore, it turned out that there was very little theoretical teaching during the apprenticeship and the apprentices work almost exclusively with the theoretical study on their own during that period. The result is relevant to be able to improve the training for practical educations. Among other things, by becoming better at switching between theory and practice during undergraduate training, but also by adding more theory training to the continuing education period. / <p>Godkänd 2023-02-28</p>
