Elementy obcojęzyczne w polszczyżnie potocznej młodzieży polskiej (na przykładzie grupy młodzieży z Pogir w rej. wileńskim) / Elements of foreign languages in polish colloquial speech of polish youth

Ivanuškina, Olga 14 June 2006 (has links)
This paperwork is based on microsociolinguistic research perspective. Speech material was recorded in group of eight young people during nonofficial endurance. The main objective of this paperwork is detail analysis of foreign elements used by Polish youth and presence of their functions in communication process. There were used two research methods: questionnaire and tape-recording of speech during meetings, which topic was religious issue. One part is dedicated to citations (interferences) – elements from foreign languages included into Polish syntax context, which lack any designators of adaptation of grammar and phonetics. In case of classification of citations grammar criteria was accepted as overriding. On this basis all foreign interferences were classified according to parts of speech. The other part of this paperwork presents inputs of longer expressions into speech, which in literature are defined as code switching.

A Global Ranking of Political Science and Public Administration Journals

Liu, Peilun 01 January 2015 (has links)
This paper conducts rankings on political science and public administration journals based on a database of citations for all articles within a set of 200 journals, during 2010-2013. This paper contributes to prior literature within the realm of Political Science, by tabulating journal rankings through non-traditional means. While rankings of political science and public administration journals have traditionally been dominated by a survey-based approach, recent advancements in technology have allowed researchers to conduct more subjective rankings based upon a bibliometric approach. However, the majority of these citational rankings utilize obscure metrics, which do not correspond directly to the number of citations a potential author can expect. This paper attempts to provide readers with more concrete metrics, which translate directly to how many citations an author can expect. This study tabulates journals based on three main metrics: Median Number of Citations, Citation Percentage, and 90th Percentile of Citations. This study identifies Transportation Research Part B, American Political Science Review, International Organization, American Journal of Political Science and Transportation Research Part A, as the top five journals within the set of 200 political science and public administration journals.

Innovations et Stratégies d'Acquisitions dans l'Industrie Pharmaceutique : Analyses Empiriques

Duflos, Gautier 04 July 2007 (has links) (PDF)

Leadership Strategies for Reducing Regulatory Citations to Maintain Tax-Exempt Statuses in Nonprofit Organizations

Kamara, Emmanuel 01 January 2020 (has links)
Abstract Leaders of nonprofit organizations have challenging responsibilities of satisfying the demands of all their stakeholders by obeying state and federal regulations. Noncompliance of regulations can quickly cause a nonprofit organization to lose its tax exempt status and become nonexistent; thus, it appears that most nonprofits are choosing to prioritize compliance, while struggling to maintain focus on their mission and services. Using the conceptual framework of transformational leadership and general system theories, this case study was to explore strategies leaders of nonprofits organizations in Pennsylvania that cater to the needs of people with disabilities use for decreasing regulatory citations to maintain their tax-exempt status. The population for this study consisted of 5 leaders of a single nonprofit organization in Pennsylvania, who were purposefully selected with experience for managing nonprofit organizations prevent citations and maintain their tax-exempt status. I collected data through semistructured interviews and analyzed the data through inducive word phrase coding and theme interpretation. Five themes emerged from my analysis of the data: the use of rules as a guide for quality improvement, leadership focus on organizational strategy, teamwork, effective communication, and training, as a means of empowering and educating team members on organizational values and rules. This study contributes to positive social change by teaching nonprofit leaders’ various strategies for decreasing regulatory citations, fines, to maintain their tax-exempt status, and fulfill their social missions of providing needed services in communities.

Grouping Search-Engine Returned Citations for Person-Name Queries

Al-Kamha, Reema 06 July 2004 (has links) (PDF)
In this thesis we present a technique to group search-engine returned citations for person-name queries, such that the search-engine returned citations in each group belong to the same person. To group the returned citations we use a multi-faceted approach that considers evidence from three facets: (1) attributes, (2) links, and (3) page similarity. For each facet we generate a confidence matrix. Then we construct a final confidence matrix for all facets. Using a threshold, we apply a grouping algorithm on the final confidence matrix. The output is a group of search-engine returned citations, such that the citations in each group relate to the same person.
