The subject of this thesis is the extension of an existing road I/69 in the section Jasenná - Liptál with the climbing line and to secure the transport service at bus stops along the road. The road I/69 between the villages of Liptál and Jasenná has high elevation and inconvenient directional and height parameters. The basic objective of the study is to improve and increase comfort in this section. The work is editing width arrangements and takes to account connections of tertiary roads to the road I/69. In this work were created two variants with a width arrangement 12.5 and 13.5 meters.

The subject of the diploma thesis is design a new building with a camping in the village Šoporňa. The building is situated near the river Váh on flat terrain. Emphasis was placed on the total visual impression of the building on its stand out from the surrounding landscape. The building will serve as a recreation building with the possibility of short and long-tern housing. There is a restaurant with outdoor seating and an accommodation capacity for 90 people, trade with sport equipment, service for vehicles and boats, garage for boats, a 11,6 metres high climbing wall, conference rooms and halls for exercise. The building has three floors above and no basement. The project includes a flat roof with an attic.

The effect of persuasive communication on rock climbers' environmental behavior

Rock climbing has become a popular adventure activity, yet it poses a threat to the environment, particularly to the rare species that inhabit the lower vegetation density of rock faces. To address this concern, effective evironmental communication is necessary to provoke environmentally responsible behavior among climbers. This study explores what the most effective form of environmental communication is, that elicits a positive response from rock climbers. Regulatory Focus Theory as well as the nature values distinction (intrinsic, instrumental, and relational) are employed to assess the effect of value-based messages on rock climbers' environmental behavior. Moreover, this research investigates how personal values of rock climbers (biospheric, altruistic, and egoistic) impact their response to messages that highlight different nature values. Environmental messaging that resonates with the personal values of rock climbers can influence their response positively. Thus, crafting messages that are aligned with the target audience's environmental dispositions is essential for effective environmental communication. While the findings did not yield definitive results, the study indicates that messages emphasizing the instrinsic value of nature coupled with prevention-oriented foucus may be more effective for rock climbers. Moreover, altruistic and biospheric values significantly moderated climbers' response to environmental messages framed with nature values. Regulatory focus was not found to significantly influence rock climbers' environmental behavior. The study also shows that demographic characteristics such as age and gender can influence the environmental behavior of rock climbers. The study's insights provide a baseline for future research in persuasive messaging for adventure tourists. The research opens up new directions in tourism studies and identifies environmental values most relevant to the rock climbing community, providing guidance to climbing area managers and other stakeholders invested in safeguarding natural habitats. By shedding light on possible environmental communication strategies for the promotion of pro-environmental behavior among rock climbers, this research offers an important contribution to the protection of vulnerable ecosystems and the preservation of natural habitats.

Title: Effect of cold water immersion on intermittent isometric forearm flexor contractions to failure in rock climbers Objectives: The aim of this study was to determine the effect of cold water immersion on intermittent isometric forearm flexor contraction to failure in rock climbers. Methods: Thirty-two climbers (15 male and 17 female) completed three intermittent trials to failure, on a climbing-specific handgrip dynamometer, on three separate visits to the laboratory. For each visit a different recovery strategy was employed: passive recovery (PAS), cold water immersion at 8 řC (CWI 8) or 15 řC (CWI 15). The force time integral (FTI - time of contraction multiplied by the force of contraction) was determined to assess intermittent performance. The tissue saturation index (TSI) and total haemoglobin (tHb) during isometric contractions from near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) were determined to assess hemodynamic changes. Differences between repeated trials and three recovery protocols, derived parameters NIRS, were assessed using repeated measures ANOVA with Bonferroni corrections. Results: There was no significant difference between conditions after trial one. Sport Structure and Goal Oriented Motivation

The aim of this study was to assess differences in goal orientation between athletes practicing two different sports. These sports differ structurally in how they are performed and in regard to factors influencing goal orientation. The achievement goal theory (AGT) states that individuals’ motivational orientation is made up of two aspects, task oriented motivation and ego oriented motivation. These two goal orientations are independent of one another and are affected by several factors. The effect on goal orientation by factors influenced by coaches, parents and peers is well documented. The two hypotheses were that climbers would be more task-oriented than squash players and secondly that squash players would be more ego-oriented than climbers. The study was conducted as a quasi-experimental between group comparison. 81 sport practitioners, 43 rock climbers and 38 squash players, took the Task and Ego in Sport Questionnaire (TEOSQ) in connection with performing their sport. Independent t-tests of both sub scales showed a difference in ego-motivation between groups, but not in task-motivation. / Syftet med den här studien var fastställa skillnader i målorientering mellan idrottare som utför olika sporter. Dessa sporter skiljer sig strukturellt i utförande och i avseende av faktorer som påverkar målorientering. Målorienteringsteorin (AGT) säger att individers målorientering består av två aspekter, uppgiftsorienterad motivation och egoorienterad motivation. Dessa två orienteringar är oberoende av varandra och påverkas av flera olika faktorer. Effekten på målorientering av faktorer som påverkas av tränare, föräldrar och kamrater är väldokumenterad. Den första hypotesen var att klättrare är mer uppgifts-orienterade än vad squashspelare är och den andra att squashspelare är mer egoorienterade än vad klättrare är. Studien utfördes som en kvasiexperimentell mellangruppsjämförelse. 81 idrottare, 43 klättrare och 38 squashspelare fyllde i formuläret Task and Ego in Sport Questionnaire (TEOSQ) i samband med sin träning. Oberoende t-test visade en skillnad i ego-motivation, men inte i uppgifts-motivation mellan grupperna.

Land Leveling Using Optimal Earthmoving Vehicle Routing

This thesis presents new solution approaches for land leveling, using optimal earthmoving vehicle routing. It addresses the Shortest Route Cut and Fill Problem (SRCFP) developed by Henderson, Vaughan, Wakefield and Jacobson [2000]. The SRCFP is a discrete optimization search problem, proven to be NP-hard. The SRCFP describes the process of reshaping terrain through a series of cuts and fills. This process is commonly done when leveling land for building homes, parking lots, etc. The model used to represent this natural system is a variation of the Traveling Salesman Problem. The model is designed to limit the time needed to operate expensive, earthmoving vehicles. The model finds a vehicle route that minimizes the total time required to travel between cut and fill locations while leveling the site. An optimal route is a route requiring the least amount of travel time for an individual earthmoving vehicle. This research addresses the SRCFP by evaluating minimum function values across an unknown response surface. The result is a cost estimating strategy that provides construction planners a strategy for contouring terrain as cheaply as possible. Other applications of this research include rapid runway repair, and robotic vehicle routing. / Master of Science

This master´s thesis is dealing with selected part of the construction technology project of the high-rise building AZ Tower. The main content becomes the realization of supporting gross upper structure. It compiles in detail the most optimal proposal of technological processes, working machines, schedule, control and test plan, occupational safety, environment protection, construction site equipment and last but not least, the coordination of four tower cranes. Apart from the architectural and technically impressive draft of the Czech Republic tallest building it will be interesting to deal with progress of the whole construction. New technologies and elementary construction activities adapting to work at extreme altitudes will be used.
