Annahof / Annahof

Novotná, Tereza January 2016 (has links)
Diploma thesis surveys South Moravian countryside. The importance of the close connection with people who live there on a spiritual and intellectual level. There is a forbidden place in former Sudetenland, island in the fields - ruin of farmstead. Project found it interesting to keep it in solitude, but as a place of meditation. Project of the small monastery and the community of people helping in hospice.

Život na samotě / Life in the isolation

Jankovichová, Ludmila Unknown Date (has links)
The answer to what Zaježová is, can be simple. Zaježová are so called „lazy“. Zaježová is perceived by the outside world - society - primarily as an alternative community of people living in coexistence with nature, and “Zaježová” presents itself “in this way”. Personally, I think that Zaježová is defined mainly by the strong individualities of people who are able to say about themselves and present that they live in a community. Last but not least, Zaježová is a place where I spent a large part of my childhood, because my parents belonged to these strong individuals and decided to live life “alone”. My work tries to capture what Zaježová is through various media, including architecture. The output is a set of atypical tourist maps and a proposal to transform the former fire station into a gallery.

Tales of Machine Landscapes

Ní Cheallacháin, Róisin January 2022 (has links)
The countryside has been long forgotten while technology is changing at a rapid pace, something we’re not stopping to consider. In this thesis I aim to catalogue the current state of the countryside and it’s near future. Something that’s right in front of us but that we currently lack the resources to realise. The research work will be delivered in the form of speculative architecture and storytelling. It is presented as a book, with each chapter focusing on a different aspect of this new countryside and its potential. This research provides a platform for us to begin to think about these new scenarios and future prospects in order to design sensitively.  A majority of the work is delivered through montages. The compositions utilise already existing elements in society and combine them to produce new spaces that tells us something. I chose to use montages as I felt like they were a successful way to summarise the research of a broad subject field.

Detaljplanering på landsbygden : En studie om innehåll i detaljplaner på landsbygden i tio värmländska kommuner 1947–2022 / Rural detailed development plans : On the contents of rural detailed development plans in ten municipalities in Värmland 1947–2022

Nilsson, Emil, Rydahl Hansson, Kristin January 2022 (has links)
During the 16th century, cities began to emerge in Sweden and already during this time, structures were formed as streets in a grid formation. In 1734 the first regulation of construction in cities that applied at the national level was implemented and in 1947 came the first planning legislation that enabled detailed planning in rural areas. The countryside has a history of being subordinate to the city and planning often has an urban focus. This study aims to examine all current detailed plans from 1947 to today in ten municipalities in Värmland to detect what content, patterns and similarities and differences there are. The aim is to expose whether it is possible to distinguish connections between these detailed plans. A total of 212 detailed plans have been examined. A theoretical model has been designed containing four categories and six theories to examine the content of the detailed plans. The categories municipality, year of gained legal force, exploitation and location have been linked with the theories urbanization theory, second home theory, industrial theory, tourism theory, municipal group theory and location theory which together form the theoretical model of this study. The theories have since been confirmed or disapproved. The results of the survey show that holiday homes are the most common type of exploitation followed by permanent housing, the most common type of location is beachfront. The results also show that the 1990s was the time period when detailed planning most often occurred. Karlstad municipality and Kristinehamn municipality were the municipalities with the most detailed plans in the countryside. Based on the results, it was concluded that the exploitation and location of the detailed plans is reflected in the municipality's geographical location and the demand in the municipality, but also that the detailed planning is reflected in the municipality's efforts to achieve growth.

Charging for Reduced Climate Emissions and a Living countryside

Tysk Hedlund, Jonas, Svedlind, Tone, Kembro, Isabelle, Yngvesson, Karolina January 2023 (has links)
The purpose of this project is to create a map showcasing the distribution of charging stations in the surrounding areas of Uppsala city in Uppsala Municipality. Additionally, the project examines the expected development of electric car utilization, identifies essential requirements, and highlights significant actors driving this development. Through an analysis of factors, such as demographic data, geographical data, car fleet data, car density and travel patterns, the project seeks to gain insight into the present and future usage patterns of electric cars. By understanding these factors, the research contributes to a better understanding of the dynamics surrounding the adoption of electric cars outside cities. Moreover, this project provides information on the optimal placement of charging infrastructure to facilitate the transition towards electric mobility. Calculations and assumptions are made to calculate the total number of electric cars in Uppsala city's surrounding areas in 2040. Based on this number, the total installed public power capacity needed is calculated in accordance with an EU regulation called AFIR. The total capacity is distributed on five different power capacities to match the need at each location. To achieve this, key actors have been examined. In addition, development and key actors in Norway are analyzed to examine similarities and to give a brief view into the future.  The results indicate that there will be a significant increase of electric cars in Uppsala Municipality. Therefore, expanding the charging infrastructure is shown to be essential. Due to the expected high usage of home charging outside cities, public charging is believed to be mostly necessary for tourists and passersby. Nevertheless, there are uncertainties that could influence the development of electric cars, which in turn would have an impact on the results. Finally, there follows a discussion both on the results and factors which could have affected the model.

Sociální a ekonomická situace venkova v římské provincii Dalmatia a na území Histrie v 1. stol. př. n. l. - 5. stol. n. l. / Social and Economical Situation of Countryside in the Roman Province of Dalmatia and in the Histria in the 1st Century BC - 5th Century AD

Kopáčková, Jana January 2021 (has links)
The focus of this thesis is on the social and economic conditions prevailing in the countryside of Histria and the Roman province of Dalmatia from the 1st century BC till the 5th century AD. The thesis' chapters are dealing with specific issues of the provincial rural areas (villae rusticae, vici), legal matters (such as civic status of inhabitants or land ownership) and the general economic situation, particularly the role of agriculture within the system of production, distribution and consumption. The analysis of preserved epigraphic monuments is a crucial part of the chapter on agriculture, whose main focus is on the agricultural production - especially cultivation of olive trees and vines. The production of olive oil and wine was shown to having been far more extensive than previously thought. Other forms of production were also pointed out: figlinae (ceramics workshops), fullonicae (textile workshops) as well as salt production. Distribution and consumption were closely connected to agricultural production, and traces of trade may be followed both on land and at sea. Key words countryside, villae rusticae, Roman Province of Dalmatia, Histria, agriculture, wine, olive oil

Stavba v krajině - Winery / Architecture in landscape - Winery

Melnyková, Oksana January 2010 (has links)
The aim of this thesis was to design a facility for wine in South Moravia, situated near the New Mills dam. In addition to stemming the needed space for storage, pressing, packaging and export of guilt, I also suggested areas for visitors, especially exhibition space, restaurant, shop wine, tasting room, suite accommodations. The building includs apartment for owner of wineries. The building is designed with regard to environmental concerns. As part of the concept of ecological water purification and also its natural resources (eg ground heat exchanger, solar collectors). An important component of the concept is not only the building itself but also all aspects related thereto, in particular the inclusion of wine in the landscape and future land use in its vicinity. You need to create a place that becomes something more than the actual building. Also to enhance cycling and visit rate in this area I suggested the boat rental, which, along with smaller restaurant and bicycle store contributes to a better use of waterfront and water reservoir.

Suburbanizace – mezi městem a krajinou (hledání strategie pro udržitelný rozvoj suburbií v zázemí velkého města) / Suburbanization – between a city and landspace (searching for the optimal strategy for sustainable development of suburbs in the background of a big city)

Šerá, Jana January 2012 (has links)
Assignment of the diploma thesis came out as a result of the module specialized studiol called Compact city, dealing with the problematics of the urban sprawl phenomenon in last 20 years in our country. The target of this thesis is to find ways leading to the improvement of life quality within such structures. We are facing the problem of the urban sprawl into the landscape to the detriment of land used for agriculture. We try to move closer to the landscape, which causes our loss of it. We spend long hours by commuting, mostly by car. The time, when the non-renewable sources of energy are getting tinner is on approach and with it the prices of oil are getting higher. Then we will have a choice: commute by car or get to the place of our job by walk. The second option will be highly appreciated. Contemporary czech countryside is loosing its original features in order of becoming residential base for nearby cities. People moving to the countryside are not searching for the job in the agriculture sector. They move there, trying to find a house with a garden in touch of the nearby landscape. Sadly, they do not find what they expect. Their reality is a big house in the middle of a small patch of land, which can not provide them with the intimate sorrounding. Such residential sites are seldom, if ever proposed in relationship towards the landscape as it was common in the case of original countryside. Right-angled properties which are provided with high fences or walls create sharp edges urging towards constructing a new such structure next to it. The thesis is devided into several parts. First part is dealing with changes in the relationship of people towards landscape. Second part is mapping the urban sprawl in sorrounding of Brno. Several parts of Brno and several municipalities, where the phenomenon of the urban sprawl is about to take place or where it took place already were chosen for this purpose. Three chosen localities (Útěchov, Jehnice, Troubsko) undergone detailed analysis and comparison. In the following section of the thesis were defined five areas, which should be monitored during the development of sub-urban localities. The aim of all proposals is to minimize necessary journeys by car. The final part of the thesis is focused on Jehnice town and country plan and spatial regulations zoning is not created. Thesis defines important places, spaces and offers visions on which direction should the development take.

Obnova Jasenovského hradu a okolí / Revitalization of Castle Jasenov with and Surroundings

Turcovský, Štefan January 2014 (has links)
Hole idea of this design connects to existing situation and state, to historical, artistic significance of this region. The concept coming out of two main representants of life and history of Jasenov (Jasenov castle, Jasenov healing spring) and is coupled with new form, that is represented in form of Regional museum. First part includes analysis of area and surroundings, wider relationships, history and landmarks nad memories, static analysis of state of Jasenov castle and it's consequences on concept. Second part includes design of Jasenov healing spring. This place is historically significant because of effect on historical progress. For this place I designed „spiritua“ place, place for relaxation. Main part is represented by particular form, form that is inpired by classical chapels and churches of this region of Zemplin. Around main design, there are 23 rocks for sitting, that represents 23 families ( These families were really significant for hole progress and history of this village). Hole place communicates with it's surroundings, nature and gently complement this area. Third part deals with Museum of Region. Museum serves not only for representation of history, but also like place for relax, exibitions, performances ( amphiteather for 250 people), representation of traditional manufacturing and folklor. Concept consist of 7 main houses, in center of area si amphiteather/ park. Forms organicly conncets with nature, terrain in similar style like traditional architecture of Zemplin. Museum is alcou main crossroad of turistic paths (Humenné- Jasenov castle, Húbková- Chlmec, Jasenov castle- Krivoštianka).

Fysisk aktivitet - Landsort/Storstad

Persson, Maria, Schlyter, Maria January 2007 (has links)
This study is about children’s physical activities in two different environments, countryside/big city. The purpose of this study was to find out how much boy’s and girl’s in sixth grade are physically active in school and leisure time, from a gender perspective within each environment. The investigation involves a total of 160 children, of which 73 on the countryside and 87 in the big city. The meaning of physical activity is a well-debated subject today. The human lifestyle has become more inactive. Screen bounded activities like TV, DVD, computer games etc. has contributed to that a lot of people avoid physical activity. All modern conveniences such as cars, buses, elevators and escalators etc. are also contributory causes to the fact that the human being doesn’t need any direct physical activity.A quantitative method has been used to find out how much children are physically active in school and leisure time. The data collecting has been coded statistical with the data program SPSS and analysed by tables and figures. The significance was calculated between the variables environments and sex and the result doesn’t show any significance differences between boy’s and girl’s physical activity on each environments. The conclusion of this study shows that boy’s and girl’s on each environment are physically active in school and leisure time.
