O presente trabalho é um estudo dos editoriais dos jornais Cruzeiro do Sul e Diário de Sorocaba entre os anos de 1964 e 1974, no contexto do Estado Autoritário, sob o governo militar, com o objetivo de compreender o papel dos dois principais jornais da cidade de Sorocaba, com influencias em outras cidades da região, durante esses dez anos de construção e consolidação da ordem autoritária. A investigação dos editoriais permitiu observar e reconstituir as trajetórias destes jornais demonstrando aspectos importantes tanto para a história social e política do período, quanto para a história da cidade de Sorocaba e de sua imprensa diária local. / This Paperwork is a study of the editorials from Cruzeiro do Suland Diário de Sorocaba newspapers between the years of 1964 and 1974, in the context of the Authoritarian State Regime, under the Military Government Rule, in order to understand the role of the major newspapers from Sorocaba city, which also had influence in the other cities in the region, during these period of ten years of construction and consolidation of the authoritarian order. This Editorials Research allowed observation and recognition these newspapers trajectories demonstrating important aspects for both the social and the political history of the period, as for the history of the city of Sorocaba and its local daily press.

Nas últimas décadas tem se dado maior atenção à reprodução de animais silvestres, visto que para se conhecer e preservar uma espécie se faz necessário o conhecimento da história natural aliado aos processos da fisiologia e morfologia reprodutivas. Ciclos reprodutivos podem ser sazonais ou assazonais e apresentar variações em ambos os padrões. Por sua natureza e diversidade de fatores associados (e.g., atividade, dieta, temperatura), as estratégias reprodutivas vêm sendo investigadas sob uma abordagem evolutiva. Estudos do comportamento reprodutivo e dimorfismo sexual também têm sido destacados nesse âmbito. No entanto, poucos trabalhos são realizados para se conhecer as estratégias reprodutivas em serpentes neotropicais. Na maioria das vezes tais trabalhos abordam apenas alguns aspectos do ciclo reprodutivo de serpentes, como época de nascimentos, cópula e gestação, podendo ainda ser descritos de forma divergente pelo fato de muitos destes estudos serem norteados por dados de serpentes em cativeiro. Estudos microscópicos e macroscópicos, delineados com animais recém-chegados da natureza e preservados em coleções científicas, pode fornecer uma descrição e uma análise mais efetiva do ciclo reprodutivo permitindo a integração destes fatores. Assim, este trabalho investigou diversos aspectos da biologia reprodutiva de fêmeas e machos de populações de Bothrops alternatus do Brasil. Além disso, foram analisadas e descritas as estratégias reprodutivas empregadas por ambos os sexos durante o ciclo reprodutivo anual. Para isso, os espécimes foram dissecados ventralmente retirando-se fragmentos das gônadas e vias genitais de fêmeas e machos, em diferentes épocas do ano, a fim de se identificar as principais fases do ciclo vitelogênico, espermatogênico e do segmento sexual renal. Igualmente, para determinar se há estocagem de esperma nas fêmeas e nos machos, será investigada o útero aglandular e região do infundíbulo, vias genitais e ductos deferentes respectivamente. Tais dados permitirão compor um padrão reprodutivo, para essa espécie, levando-se em conta processos morfofisiológicos em ambos os sexos. Também foi realizada uma comparação dos ciclos reprodutivos entre populações de Bothrops alternatus e análises de possíveis influências ambientais na duração dos eventos reprodutivos / Over the last decades a greater attention has been given to the reproduction of wild animals, as the knowledge of natural history combined with the processes of reproductive physiology and morphology is essential for the preservation of a species. Reproductive cycles may be seasonal or not, and both patterns may have variations. Due to its nature and to the diversity of the associated factors (e.g., activity, diet, temperature), reproductive strategies have been investigated in an evolutionary approach. Studies of reproductive behavior and sexual dimorphism have also been highlighted in this context. However, few studies have been conducted to determine reproductive strategies in neotropical snakes. Most studies address only some aspects of the reproductive cycle of snakes, such as time of birth, copulation and pregnancy, and may present divergent descriptions as many of them are based on data from snakes in captivity. Microscopic and macroscopic studies carried out with animals newcomers from nature and preserved in scientific collections can provide a more effective analysis of the reproductive cycle allowing the integration of these factors. In this context, this project aims to investigate various aspects of the reproductive biology of female and male populations of Bothrops alternatus from Brazil. The reproductive strategies employed by both sexes during the annual reproductive cycle was analyzed and described. The specimens was dissected ventrally and fragments of gonads and genital tracts of females and males was removed at different times of the year in order to identify the main phases of the vitellogenic cycle, spermatogenesis and sexual segment of the kidney. Also, to determine whether sperm storage is done by females and males, we will investigate the aglandular uterus, the posterior infundibulum, genital tracts and vas deferens respectively. Such data was compose a reproductive pattern for the species that will take into account the morphophysiologic processes of both sexes. It was also performed a comparison of reproductive cycles between populations of Bothrops alternates and analysis of possible environmental influences in the duration of reproductive events

The study investigates how Design as a layout produces meaning in the two pages space of the five photoreports of Pierre Verger entitled Acontece que s?o baianos, published in the August 1951 editions. Photoreports showing the daily life and cultural practices of the former slave descendants who lived in Brazil during and after the Colonial system and returned to the West Coast of Africa, in Nigeria and Benin. Among some of these cultural practices present in religious and profane celebrations of Catholicism related devotion to the Lord of Bonfim are dance, the songs, cooking, which according to the contents of visual and verbal texts represent the Bahian culture. Through texts written by Gilberto Freyre and the photoreport of Pierre Verger sought to discuss the perspective approach of Culture at that time about Bahia and the West Coast of Africa. Through the photoreport analyzes Design as layout in the graphic design of the magazine, and the construction of meaning from the three lines of analysis: the first suggested by Nadja Peregrino which made a pioneering study on the magazine and the page composition through the photoreport; the second related to the visual techniques applied to Design in the Donis A. Dondis conception and finally the analysis through the elements of Design approached by Wucius Wong. / Acontece que s?o baianos: das fotorreportagens de Pierre Verger ao Desenho das p?ginas na revista O Cruzeiro, tra?ando os sentidos ? resultado de um estudo acerca do Desenho, como desenho de p?gina, especificamente a diagrama??o no espa?o gr?fico da revista O Cruzeiro. O estudo investiga como o Desenho enquanto diagrama??o produz sentido no espa?o das p?ginas de duas das cinco fotorreportagens de Pierre Verger, intituladas de Acontece que s?o baianos, publicadas nas edi??es de agosto de 1951. Fotorreportagens que abordam o cotidiano e as pr?ticas culturais de descendentes dos ex-escravos que viveram do Brasil durante e depois dos sistema colonial escravocrata e que retornaram para a Costa Ocidental da ?frica, na Nig?ria e no Benin. Dentre algumas dessas pr?ticas culturais presentes nas festas religiosas e profanas do catolicismo relacionados devo??o ao Senhor do Bonfim, est?o a dan?a, as cantigas, culin?ria que segundo o conte?do dos textos visuais e verbais que representam a cultura baiana. Por meio dos textos redigidos por Gilberto Freyre e das fotorreportagens de Pierre Verger buscou-se discutir a perspectiva de abordagem da Cultura na ?poca acerca da Bahia e da Costa Ocidental da ?frica. A Escola de Samba da ARUC faz parte de um processo criado por seus integrantes em práticas de tradições relacionadas às festas de carnaval em Brasília. O objeto de estudo desta dissertação são as memórias de categorias de pessoas integrantes da escola - carnavalescos, compositores e dirigentes -, no período compreendido entre 1974 a 2005. No presente, como parte desse processo histórico-cultural, são consideradas dimensões de um passado de construção e, posterior transferência da capital para Brasília, reelaboradas por funcionários públicos e seus descendentes, entre outros, que para a nova cidade migraram. Proponho, portanto, o entrelaçamento das memórias e experiências de identidades desses narradores com meus referenciais de vida e de pesquisa. Dessa forma, tais narradores revelam poder e voz para interpretação do mundo de que fazem parte: o carnaval, conflitos, tensões, acordos, negociações e entrosamentos, que emergem na cena histórica pública. _______________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / City and administrative area of Federal district, the Cruise shelters the Recreational and Cultural Association United of the Cruise - ARUC, entity that gives name to the samba school, which participates in the carnival of Brasília since1961. The School of Samba of ARUC is part of a process created by their members in practices of traditions related to carnival parties in Brasília. The object of study of this dissertation is the memoirs of integral people's of the school categories - merrymakers, composers and leaders -, in the period understood among 1974 to 2005. In the present, as part of that historical-cultural process, dimensions of a construction past are considered and, subsequent transfer of the capital for Brasília, elaborated for public employees and their descendants, among other, that for the new city migrated. I propose, therefore, the interlacement of the memoirs and experiences of those narrators' identities with my life reference and of research. In that way, such narrators reveal to can and voice for interpretation of the world that you/they are part: the carnival, conflicts, tensions, agreements, negotiations and integrations, that emerge in the public historical scene.

Through the speech prepared by the workers' press site, aims to understand how the space is configured mobilized and organized these workers. The period delimited, this work is set in the year that the paper circulated by the railway line, 1933. In the first chapter the city will be revealed from what The Moment points, your look and your clippings of local reality, as he conceives the constitution of urban space. The second chapter will be based on a discussion about this press release, questioning it, from the possibilities that the newspaper offers, which themes that chooses as relevant, the reasons that led to its formation, which subjects revealed by its projects and their struggle as a class railway, which proposes the conflicting opinions. Anyway, how was the production of urban space in this newspaper and reciprocity established between both and what this meant for ideas go by the railroad tracksThe third and last chapter, it will stick in discussing this character, who devised and writes the paper, not in isolation and biographical way, but embedded within a context of struggle that constituted the rail across the country / Essa dissertação busca perceber o jornal O Momento, publicado na cidade de Cruzeiro no ano de 1933, como um espaço de luta dos ferroviários da Estrada de Ferro Sul de Minas. Por meio do discurso elaborado por essa imprensa operária local, visa compreender como esse espaço se configurou, mobilizou e organizou esses trabalhadores. O período delimitado, desse trabalho, se configura no ano que o jornal circulou pela linha férrea, 1933. No primeiro Capítulo a cidade será revelada a partir do que O Momento aponta, o seu olhar e seus recortes da realidade local, como ele concebe a constituição desse espaço urbano. O do segundo capítulo pautar-se-á numa discussão sobre essa imprensa, questionando-a, a partir das possibilidades que o jornal oferece, quais as temáticas que elege como relevantes, os motivos que levaram a sua formação, quais os sujeitos revelados por ele e seus projetos de luta, enquanto classe ferroviária, as opiniões conflitantes que propõe. Enfim, como se deu a produção desse jornal nesse espaço urbano e a reciprocidade que se estabelece entre ambos e o que significou esse percorrer de ideias pelos trilhos da ferrovia. O terceiro, e último capítulo, ater-se-á em discutir sobre essa personagem, que idealiza e redige o jornal, não de forma isolada e biográfica, mas inserida dentro de uma conjuntura de luta que constituiu os ferroviários de todo país

During this period, Brazil’s own perception was that of a country full of possibilities and on an irreversible course towards the future, with the civilized world as its destination point and fully identified with developed countries. This thesis focuses on the ways in which this imaginary was represented and disseminated in the magazine “O CRUZEIRO” between 1955-1957. While both source and object of this research, “O CRUZEIRO” was considered the main publication of its kind in the country during this period, reaching the whole Brazilian territory. It occupied a privileged position in the journalism Field and, as a result, enjoyed a great deal of power within the disputes among the different spheres of influence of Brazilian society. This study focuses particularly on the analysis of its photo-reportages, its main attraction and what characterized the magazine. Our analysis took into consideration the specific aspects of this format of journalism, which favor photo images in combination with headlines and short texts, at the expense of a more elaborate written content. Through the study of the theme of national development on a variety magazine, we seek to understand the magazine’s representations beyond the strictly economic significance. These representations of “O CRUZEIRO” reflected the vision of its publishing group, the ideals of its owner – Assis Chateaubriand – and the development imaginary of the period. / Nos anos de 1950, a idéia de desenvolvimento apresentava-se como o principal componente do imaginário nacional. O Brasil, então, apresentava-se como pleno de possibilidades, inserido em uma trajetória irreversível rumo ao futuro que tinha, como ponto de chegada, o mundo civilizado, identificado com os países desenvolvidos. Analisar de que forma este imaginário foi representado e difundido na revista O CRUZEIRO, entre os anos de 1955-1957, é o objetivo da tese. Ao mesmo tempo fonte e objeto da presente pesquisa, a revista é considerada a principal publicação nacional do ramo, na época, a atingir todo o território brasileiro. Ela ocupava uma posição privilegiada no campo jornalístico e, por conseguinte, desfrutava de um grande poder no jogo de forças que compunha as diferentes esferas da sociedade brasileira.O estudo concentrou seu foco de análise nas fotorreportagens, principal atrativo da revista e que a caracterizava. A análise levou em consideração a especificidade deste formato, na qual a mensagem não privilegia o texto verbal, mas a imagem fotográfica em composição com as legendas, títulos e subtítulos que orientam a leitura. Ao estudar o tema desenvolvimento em uma revista de variedades, buscamos conhecer as suas diferentes representações, para além do aspecto puramente econômico. Elas estiveram pautadas, em O CRUZEIRO, pela visão do grupo que a revista representava, pelas idéias de seu proprietário – Assis Chateaubriand - e pelo imaginário desenvolvimentista do período.
