Ljuddesignerns roll i spelbranschen

Gustavsson, Måns January 2016 (has links)

Etude de l'influence de l'administrateur indépendant sur la création de valeur : une approche synthétique de la gouvernance des entreprises cotées / The effect of the cognitive and disciplinary contribution of independent director : A synthetic approach governance of French listed companies

Ben Farhat, Nadia 30 January 2014 (has links)
Financial literature is far away from offering convincing answers about the contribution of independent director in the value creation. This is why we sought to get a better understanding of this role using the approach of synthetic governance. In order to shed more light on the question, we develop explanatory model. The model uses two approaches: the disciplinary view and the knowledge-based view. An empirical study of the independent director of French listed companies was carried out. We first present the characteristics of profile the independents directors between 2008 and 2011. Empirical tests indicate that the cognitive contribution did not result a value creation. Moreover statistical modeling confirms the existence of disciplinary contributions of the independent director and shows mostly positive effects on value creation. The same argument also confirm by the disciplinary perspectives of governance. A typology profile of independent director shows the existence of classical vision of the board directors in French listed. The selection and the appointement of independent director reconciled of the profile’s executive.

The case of the president and the managing director of MJC (and other popular education non-profit organizations).

Casimiri, Catherine 16 December 2014 (has links)
This thesis deals with the relationship that a volunteer president and a managing director, employee, of a MJC, but also other popular education non-profit organizations, can maintain within the governance they exercice together. Interviews with 62 presidents and managing directors, but also other employees of MJC and three historians or sociologists confirmed some of the basic premises about the complexity of the relationship between a president and a managing director of non-profit organization, sometimes conflicting, but showed also the variety of forms this relationship can take on, as the diversity of the actors, about their relation to authority but also to their militancy. Moreover, this thesis has highlighted a common point to the totality of these associative actors : a sense of belonging to a network and more widely to a line of thought, the popular education.

Motion-picture spatial-differentiation model / Model prostorové diferenciace a film

Bokšteflová, Barbora January 2009 (has links)
The thesis presents a game theoretic model of two directors on a single market. It introduces a variable film type which attains a value from the interval [0,1], where the boundaries expresses the art and the mainstream film, respectively. Each director has opposite preferences over a film type and chooses which type of film to shoot. The director's decision influences the profit function of the other director. The objective of each director is to maximize his profit function. The profit function is the difference of the quadratic audience function and of the cost function. The cost function is the sum of quadratic production cost function and linear disutility cost function which expresses the director's unmeasurable cost issued from the deviation from his most preferred film type. The model therefore includes both the economic and the artistic incentives which influence the directors' decision. We prove that for each pair of profit functions, there exists at least one pure strategy Nash equilibrium. The discussion of possible outcomes is illustrated by an empirical application.

Abstract: This dissertation ains on retrieving the writing and staging process of 'Cantos Periféricos' staged by Santo André group 'Teatro da Conspiração' between 2002 and 2004. It will analyze the text elaboration from observation and researching of movie scripts and news from everyday life at poor suburbs, where the narrative deconstruction of the plot served as base. It will also analyze the text elaboration process from the point of view of a playwright-theater director in her relation with the actor, by means of creation workshops, personal accounts, dance-theater basic knowledge and body action partituras. With this record, I intend to reveal the experimentation that served to the comprehension of scenic staging procedures and that was based on contemporary tendencies of language, as fragmentation and discontinuity. / Mestrado / Mestre em Artes

Three Essays on Corporate Governance and Meeting-Beating or Missing Analyst Forecasts

Rickling, Maria F 11 July 2011 (has links)
The beginning of the 21st century was plagued with unprecedented instances of corporate fraud. In an attempt to address apparent non-existent or “broken” corporate governance policies, sweeping measures of financial reporting reform ensued, having specific requirements relating to the composition of audit committees, the interaction between audit committees and external auditors, and procedures concerning auditors’ assessment of client risk. The purpose of my dissertation is to advance knowledge about “good” corporate governance by examining the association between meeting-or-beating analyst forecasts and audit fees, audit committee compensation, and audit committee tenure and “busyness”. Using regression analysis, I found the following: 1) the frequency of meeting-or-just beating (just missing) analyst forecasts is negatively (positively) associated with audit fees, 2) the extent by which a firm exceeds analysts’ forecasts is positively (negatively) associated with audit committee compensation that is predominately equity-based (cash-based), and 3) the likelihood of repeatedly meeting-or-just beating analyst forecasts is positively associated with audit committee tenure and “busyness”. These results suggest that auditors consider clients who frequently meet-or-just beat forecasts as being less “risky”, and clients that frequently just miss as being more “risky”. The results also imply that cash-based director compensation is more successful in preserving the effectiveness of the audit committee’s financial reporting oversight role, that equity-based compensation motivates independent audit committee directors to focus on short-term performance thereby aligning their interests with management, and that audit committee director tenure and the degree of director “busyness” can affect an audit committee member’s effectiveness in providing financial reporting oversight. Collectively, my dissertation provides additional insights regarding corporate governance practices and informs policy-makers for future relevant decisions.
