The goal of the thesis is to consider various ways how to finance entrepreneurial plan of a concrete manufacturing company with the focus on project financing from the European Union funds. In the theoretical part financing forms from the European Funds are discussed. Practical part focuses on Montanna Ltd, possible investment objectives are presented. The thesis also identifies investment plan and deals realization methods considering financing from the European Union funds.

My thesis presents the process of electromagnet production, including how the process is organised. My goal is to improve these techniques by refining them. To obtain the required data, the company's records were extracted and measurements were taken directly from the manufacturing process. Through examination of the data, any processes which created financial or temporal deficits were identified. Conclusions were then offered to solve these problem areas. These mainly involve alterations to the machinery settings, the delivery of materials and the management of production.

The main aim of the thesis is to optimize the management of the production process with the focus on the material flows in the manufacturing company Jung in Brno. The thesis takes into consideration the analysis of the current state of the company. In addition, the thesis describes the production programs and processes with the focus on the material flow and material stocks. The work also aims to identify and minimize bottlenecks in the production process. Apart from the main directions along which the material goes, the process of supply, removal from storage and efficiency of working with material during production is analyzed. The findings of the thesis of the work are suggestions that would make the operational business management effective, reduce production costs and increase the dynamics of the transformation process of production.

The diploma thesis is focused on proposal of internal production supply in the Walter Ltd. The company is undergoing changes in the production layout and therefore it is necessary to design a new system of production supply. The theoretical part focuses on Toyota production system and methods used in this system. Next part of the theoretical part is dedicated to lean management and lean manufacturing. The last point of theoretical part are supplying and material handling. The theoretical part is basis for analytical part in which is mapped the current state of supplying production lines. The last point of diploma thesis are solution proposals based on analytical data’s.

Healthcare leaders must establish a just culture to mitigate preventable medical deaths that occur at 250,000 per year, making medical errors the 3rd leading cause of death in the United States. However, there is a gap in knowledge regarding the attributes of nurse manager leadership styles that contribute to promoting a just culture at the unit level. Guided by the full range leadership theory and the just culture model, the purpose of this descriptive correlational study was to determine the relationship between nurse manager transformational, transactional, and laissez-faire leadership styles and unit level just culture perceptions and the differences between staff nurses’ and nurse managers’ perceptions of leadership styles and just culture. The Multifactorial Leadership Questionnaire and the Just Culture Assessment tool were administered to 165 U.S. hospital-based staff nurses and nurse managers. ANOVA revealed a statistically significant difference in the mean just culture scores between transformational, transactional, and/or laissez-faire leadership styles (p < .01). MANOVA outcomes were significant for the difference between the nursing staff’s and nurse managers’ perceptions of nurse managers’ leadership styles (p < .01). This study promotes positive social change identifying transformational and transactional nurse manager leadership skills as a predictor for maintaining a unit level just culture and clarifying the impact of nurse managers’ leadership styles on perceptions of patient safety among frontline nurses and hospital safety. Future research should focus on exploring the relationship between nurse-sensitive patient outcomes such as pressure injuries and hospital-acquired infections along with the unit level just culture and nurse manager leadership styles.

The present study was inspired by Human-Vogel and Dippenaar’s (2013) research, which examined pre-service teachers’ commitment to community engagement in their second year of study. Human-Vogel and Dippenaar 2013 found that personal justice beliefs were independent of the pre-service teachers’ attitudes towards service learning. These puzzling findings necessitated further investigation and formed the basis of the rationale for my study. I was furthermore intrigued by the number of mentions made of social justice in connection with community engagement, evoking my interest in this concept and the role that social justice plays in service learning. In the present study I explored pre-service teachers’ experience with social justice during their service learning activities, examining the ways in which they dealt with social justice issues during their interactions in the different settings. A qualitative research approach was applied guided by an interpretivist paradigm. I made use of an ex post facto instrumental case study design and four pre-service teachers were conveniently and purposively selected for the present the study. The criteria for selection was that the participants must have been involved in the Human-Vogel and Dippenaar’s (2013) research and were willing and available to participate in the present study. The data was collected through individual semi-structured interviews and thematic analysis was utilized during the data analysis. In the present study five themes emerged as a result of the thematic analysis and interpretation. Firstly the pre-service teachers were able to provide their individual conceptualisation of justice. Under this theme they gave their individual definitions of personal and social justice and also provided examples of these concepts. Secondly, the pre-service teachers reported on their overall service learning experiences and these included the negative and positive aspects. Thirdly, there were barriers faced by the pre-service teachers during service learning activities. These included a lack of preparation and structure in the service learning activities, expectation versus reality of the service learning experiences, language barriers, lack of resources in the community, security concerns, and issues of stereo-types and assumptions. Fourthly, the pre-service teachers discussed issues of justice and social change. They were able to discuss issues related to social injustices experienced in the community, the availability and accessibility to justice structures as well as their being a voice to the voice-less. These aspects were discussed with the aim that such could be examined and used to bring about social change in the community. Lastly, the pre-service teachers provided recommendations in the form of Support structures needed by pre-service teachers in future service learning activities. A linha de montagem objeto do estudo acompanha esta tendência. Nela são montados modelos variados de chassis. Desta forma, o objetivo geral da pesquisa é desenvolver um modelo de abastecimento para linha de montagem multiprodutos, onde o ponto principal do trabalho é a definição do conceito mais adequado de acordo com o tipo e quantidade do material a ser abastecido. Através de uma pesquisa-ação foi proposto um modelo de abastecimento de linha que demonstrou uma redução de aproximadamente 50% da área ocupada na borda de linha, em consequência da redução de materiais, e aumento de 3% da produtividade, em virtude das reduções das indisponibilidades e perdas por set-up de abastecimento / Abstract: The increasing variety of products in current production systems is a big challenge for internal logistics supply of materials to a final assembly line, the logistic supply must be in step with the production program, in order to provide the necessary material for assembly at the right time and in the correct quantities. The assembly line which is the object of this study follows the trend. On it, several models of chassis are assembled. Therefore, the general objective of this research is to develop a supply model for a multi-product assembly line, with the main focus of the work on determining the most suitable concept in terms of the type and amount of material to be supplied. Through research-action, a model to supply the line has been proposed, which demonstrated a reduction of approximately 50% of the area occupied alongside the line, due to the reduction in materials, and an increase of 3% in productivity, owing to the reductions in outages and losses during supply set-up / Mestre

I en bransch med stora informations- och materialflöden resulterar det i att det ställs enorma krav på logistikplaneringen för leveranser av material till en arbetsplats. En byggarbetare spenderar cirka halva sin tid på att vänta på material vilket tyder på att det krävs en bättre planeringsstrategi i branschen (Linköpings Universitet, 2016). Leveranser av prefabricerade betongelement är bland det viktigaste som görs till en byggarbetsplats eftersom de tillhör en bärande grund. Leveranserna krävs vara väl synkroniserade, oskadade och exakta för att uppnå maximal utdelning för ett byggprojekt. Att uppnå optimala leveranser där allt är felfritt och i tid är nästintill omöjligt. I denna studie har en del åtgärder tagits fram som kan vara ett steg i rätt riktning för att minska att störningar sker i leveranser av prefabricerade betongelement. Det har visat sig att det råder bristande kommunikation mellan inblandade parter och att informationsutbytet endast sker när något går fel i en leverans. Detta är något som borde förbättras genom att t.ex. implementera pekplattor där alla parter då kan bli informerade när lastbilar är på väg till byggarbetsplatsen eller om eventuella fel sker under projektets gång m.m.

Social hållbarhet är något som är svårdefinierat och det finns en kunskapslucka där en tät stad automatiskt ses som hållbar. I det här arbetet har det pågående stadsutvecklingsprojektet Fokus Skärholmen valts att studeras då projektet ämnar till att skapa en social hållbarhet. Syftet med studien är undersöka hur Fokus Skärholmen arbetar med och tillämpar de sociala aspekterna mångfald, rättvisa och demokrati. Teorin som används i undersökningen är ”The just city” av Susan Fainstein och utgår från att inom en urban kontext namnge rättvisa utifrån tre komponenter; mångfald, rättvisa och demokrati. Detta är en fallstudie där det enbart rör sig om ett fall. Kommunala från Fokus Skärholmen har undersökts och analyserats med hjälp av kvalitativ textanalys. Aspekterna mångfald, rättvisa och demokrati har omvandlats till ledord för att lättare kunna appliceras på materialet. Från detta har slutsatser kunnat dras om hur det går att arbeta för en social hållbarhet inom stadsplanering.
