<p>Abstract</p><p>Purpose/Aim: The aim of this essay is to examine the democratic potential of Forum Games.</p><p>The main focus of the essay is if working with forum games can help the participators to better communicate their thoughts and ideas and through this take better part in a democratic society.</p><p>Material/Method: The material to the study has been gathered through three interviews with persons using forum games in their work and one enquiry with 21 students in Teacher education at Uppsala University, who had recently tried the method for the first time.</p><p>Main results: The conclusion of the study is that forum game has a democratic potential. Ability to communicate is important for a democratic society and participating in forum games can improve the participators communication abilities. Furthermore forum games seem to have other positive effects on a democratic society, apart from helping the participators to improve their communication skills.</p><p>Keywords: Forum Games, Forum Theatre, Communication, Democracy, Drama</p>

The editors ofSwahili Forum have decided to revive the former bibliographical service with issueing a first follow-up list within the present No. VII of Swahili Forum. The following titles do certainly not cover all the Swahili-related writings of the years since 1993, but could be seen as a new starter, which might create appetite to continue with a bibliographical section. Eventually this could be completed for the past seven years within the forthcoming issues. The following bibliography contains titles which were rather randomly collected by the present editors. The articles which appeared in Swahili Forum I/1994 - VI/1999 are excluded from this list but await documentation in an extra-list, which is forthcoming in one of the next numbers of Swahlli Forum.

Esta dissertação investiga o processo evolutivo das trocas interindividuais a partir da perspectiva da descentração com fundamentação na concepção epistemológica piagetiana. Esta fundamentação destaca a possibilidade do sujeito desprender-se do seu ponto de vista e levar em consideração outros aspectos para finalmente coordená-los. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa – estudo de caso realizada no Curso de Graduação Licenciatura em Pedagogia, na modalidade a distância (PEAD) da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. O curso destina-se à formação em pedagogia de professores leigos de Escolas Públicas do Rio Grande do Sul. Para tanto, a coleta de dados foi realizada a partir da seleção de registros de participação dos alunos em formação no fórum virtual e lista de discussão e possibilitou a construção dos níveis que indicam o processo do egocentrismo à descentração em situações de trocas interindividuais. Os resultados apontam que as interações influenciam no processo de aprendizagem dos alunos em formação, sendo possível observar que as trocas também contribuem para estimular o processo de descentração, propiciando assim condições de coordenar pontos de vista diferentes. Os resultados também indicam que os alunos em formação demonstram dificuldades em trabalhar em comum, pois as participações apresentam alto índice de registros com características egocêntricas, não demonstrando assim que os participantes estabelecem relação com o ponto de vista dos colegas, condição necessária para que a descentração ocorra. A partir dos resultados, podemos concluir que a descentração é um processo evoluído e que cada nova oportunidade de troca permite que ocorra a evolução das trocas interindividuais. Isto nos mostra a fecundidade da teoria piagetiana como suporte para análise de processos interativos em contextos na modalidade a distância. / This thesis investigates how the exchanges occur between the individuals in the forum and discussion list and how you can view the process of egocentrism to taking off the Center from him through the levels provided for in the design analysisbased epistemological piagetiana. This is a qualitative research - a case study conducted in the course of graduate degree in pedagogy, in the programmer of distance learning (PEAD) of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul state, Brazil. The course is addressed to the formation of teachers of public schools of Rio Grande do Sul state, Brazil. Ce travail de recherche s'inscrit en sciences de l'information et de la communication et s'intéresse à l'émotion dans la recherche d'information à travers l'exemple des forums de santé. Le succès de ces dispositifs résulte d'une motivation informationnelle et émotionnelle des participants qui peuvent accéder à des témoignages, des informations ponctuelles ou encore des informations médicales filtrées par le vécu du malade (ou du proche de malade) qui s'exprime. Les messages sont donc souvent empreints d'émotion. La problématique s'attache aux évolutions de l'activité d'information et notamment au rôle que peuvent jouer les marqueurs d'émotion dans la structuration des informations mais également lors de leur évaluation. Une première analyse vise à mettre en évidence l'organisation des messages et des indices d'émotion grâce à une analyse de corpus (de fils de discussion provenant de différents forums de santé). Une seconde enquête s'attache à l'analyse de données recueillies pendant une phase d'entretiens et d'expérimentations sur l'utilisation des forums de santé et sur la manière dont les participants évaluent les informations. Les résultats montrent que les informations médicales sont très présentes et majoritairement entremêlées d'indices d'émotion de peur. Toutefois, la joie est l'émotion la plus présente dans l'ensemble du corpus. Enfin, si les marqueurs d'émotion sont des critères d'évaluation, il apparaît que les informations médicales sont également des indices d'évaluation et non les informations évaluées. / This thesis has been carried out in the field of information and communication sciences and focuses on emotion in information retrieval in health fora. The success of these systems results from an informational and emotional motivation from the participants who can access testimonials, punctual information or medical information filtered through the experience of the patients who are writing. The messages often have emotional content. This thesis focuses on developments in information activities and especially on the role that emotional has in the structuring and evaluation of information. The aim of the first analysis is to highlight the organization of messages and their emotional content through a corpus analysis (from different threads of different French-language health fora). A second study focuses on the analysis of data collected during some interviews regarding the use of health fora and the way in which participants evaluate information. The results show that medical information is very present and mostly interspersed with emotion of fear. However, the joy is the emotion mostly present in all the collected corpus. Finally, if the evaluation criteria markers are emotion, it appears that medical information are also evaluation criteria and not the information evaluated.

A doutrina internacional costuma conceituar o \"forum shopping\" como a escolha da jurisdição mais favorável ao demandante, nas hipóteses em que haja competências internacionais concorrentes. Toda uma série de fenômenos trazidos com a globalização (sejam eles políticos, sociais ou econômicos) repercute concretamente no direito internacional privado, ampliando as possibilidades de litígios em escala mundial, e trazendo consigo diversas inquietações. O exercício dessa mesma opção em jurisdições estrangeiras, ao longo do tempo, tem levado a doutrina e a jurisprudência internacional a qualificar o forum shopping quer como um abuso do direito processual quer como um direito potestativo legítimo do demandante. A proposta deste trabalho é a análise do fenômeno no âmbito do direito internacional privado, com enfoque nos efeitos de ordem material e processual que refletem nos conflitos instaurados no Brasil e no estrangeiro, analisando-se casos de repercussão internacional. / The international doctrine usually conceptualizes forum shopping as the choice of jurisdiction more favorable to the plaintiff, in the hypothesis where there is international concurrent jurisdictions. A whole series of phenomena brought with the globalization (whether political, social or economic) reverberate concretely in the private international law, expanding the possibilities of disputes in a worldwide scale, bringing with itself several concerns. The exercise of such option in foreign jurisdictions, through out the time, has led the international doctrine and jurisprudence to qualify the forum shopping either as an abuse of procedural right either as a legitimate potestative right of the plaintiff. The purpose of this work is the analysis of the phenomenon in the context of private international law, focusing on the effects of substantive and procedural order that reflect in the conflicts filed in Brazil and in abroad, analyzing the cases of international repercussions.

L’ambition de cette thèse est de proposer la mise en place d’un nouveaurèglement européen dont l’objectif est de donner aux juges des Etats membres lesmoyens pour protéger leur compétence juridictionnelle contre les revendications decompétence des juges des Etats tiers lorsque l’intérêt étatique le justifie. Il s’agit deleur octroyer des pouvoirs supplémentaires lorsqu’ils n’agissent pas dans le cadre del’espace judiciaire européen.Dans ses relations avec les Etats tiers, le juge européen devrait ainsi pouvoirprononcer des injonctions anti-suit pour protéger sa compétence, au soutien desclauses juridictionnelles mais aussi toutes les fois où les liens qu’il entretient avec lelitige sont d’une particulière densité, traduisant d’un intérêt public à trancher le litige.L’espace judiciaire européen devrait également concevoir un système de circulationunifiée des décisions émanant des juridictions des Etats tiers afin de faire coïnciderespace judiciaire commun et espace économique commun au stade de l’exécutiondes décisions. L’objectif ici est d’accroître l’influence économique des juridictionsde l’Union européenne. / This thesis proposes a new European regulation providing judges from theEuropean union with tools to protect their international jurisdiction – when publicinterests is involved – against attempts from Parties to avoid the European forum. Theaim of this proposal is to give European judges more prerogatives when they are notacting under the frame of the European Judicial area.When there is a conflict of jurisdictions with a non-European state, the European judgeshould be allowed to issue an anti-suit injunction when a strong link between the forumand the dispute exists (which induces the State’s interest to have the dispute ruled by itsjurisdictions). This should also be allowed so as to support jurisdiction clauses.Finally, the European union should provide a unique system regarding the recognitionand enforcement of decisions issued by non-European jurisdictions. The aim of thissystem would be to increase the economical influence of European jurisdictions.
