Miljöpartiet : Maktens pris

Levin, Rebecca, Nilsson, Ida January 2015 (has links)
The Swedish Miljöpartiet- De Gröna is a green party which derives from radical social movements with a high emphasis on criticism against the traditional political system and political party structure. Their long journey to become a part of government in Sweden suggests that some ideological sacrifice could have been made to condition themselves as a traditional party with the objective to gain electoral success. As earlier studies have concluded this is a common phenomenon in green parties around the world when they attempt to enter parliaments.  The consequences of ideological change are both conflicts within the party and when their continued focus is unclear to the voters and members of the party, they risk losing core voters and members. This study was conducted as a qualitative idea analysis of the ideological base of the party’s program with a perspective of changes over time. With the aim to find what has ideologically been lost and what might have been added.  The conclusion consists of ambivalent findings, with both a change of core elements and a preservation of the ideological base.

They are systemic problems, which mean that they are interconnected and interdependent. These problems must be seen as just different facets of one single crisis, which is largely a crisis of perception. The solutions of these problems require a radical shift in our perceptions, our thinking, and our values in our Ecological Thinking. The discussion of this work is based on the Ecological Thinking and its actions, by the ideology (Ecologism) and the ecological movements that are showing its insertion in Geography teaching by the Environmental Education, especially in the universities. In this context, the present work has the main objective to research how the Environmental Education is being worked on and to understand the reasons of your insertion in the academic Geography. The universities chosen were: UFPR (Universidade Federal do Paraná), UEM (Universidade Estadual de Maringá) and UEL (Universidade Estadual de Londrina). The choice of these universities is based upon the oldest academic Geography graduations in the Paraná State. The results show that, with all observations and questions, the Ecological Thinking are made part of the respondents answers and their teaching activities, but it is not, as with the same intensity in their daily practices.

ANÁLISE DA PERCEPÇÃO AMBIENTAL DE ATORES SOCIAIS DO MUNICÍPIO DE BALNEÁRIO CAMBORIÚ-SC / ANALYSIS OF ENVIRONMENTAL PERCEPTION OF SOCIAL AGENTS IN BALNEARIO CAMBORIU CITY

Frasson, Vanise da Rosa 08 August 2011 (has links)
Environmental perception is the way in which an individual perceives the environment. If each person has a history, a life experience, their perceptions are also different, it is inconsistent to valuate this perception right or wrong, even if the situations are exactly the same. In this sense, the personal experience contributes in a singular way to the people´s conception of the world. However, the high media exposition of issues related to sustainability, global warming, melting glaciers, and others environmental problems, make these subjects very popular and people may get confused about how to deal with it. Many times the population receives too much information about global issues or even contradictories information about ecologism. Even ecologically friendly people feel powerless and hopeless in front of too much information. This fact influences in citizenship actions, in other words, suppress the individual the necessity of become aware of a conflicting situation and to develop a movement to the collective interest. Thus, the proposal intend to analyze the environmental perception in Balneário Camboriú SC, verifying in which way the information overplus about ecology influence in this process and in the citizenship action. The research was developed in two types of investigation, based on Vicente del Rio essay, Cidade da Mente, Cidade Real: percepção ambiental e revitalização na area portuária do RJ. It is important to highlight that in addition to the investigation proposal, it was used the theoretical principals of phenomenology and methodological of the discourse analysis. The results show that there is a series of projects and environmental campaign, but they do not reach people awareness. Furthermore, perceptions show that the environmental problematic in the city is perceived as a result of an intensive process of urbanization. Looking at the bibliographic investigation and at the methodological procedures it can be inferred that individual environmental perception is very helpful to understand and create citizenship actions related to the environment.

Towards the development of a "green" worldview, and criteria to assess the "green-ness" of a text : Namibia Vision 2030 as example

Harper, Sally Anne 22 December 2008 (has links)
This study assumes, rather than debates, that there is an increasingly global environmental crisis – global warming, loss of ozone layer, biodiversity loss, deforestation and desertification, natural resource depletion, toxic pollution - brought about by western nations’ abuse of the natural environment during nineteenth century industrialization, continuing through the twentieth century, and, many would argue, into the new millennium as well. Greens have been warning of the dangers of human-induced climate change since the 1960s. And yet, their analysis of the reasons for the wide and global range of ecological problems currently being experienced, of which climate change is only one, is not widely known. And even less so, are their solutions to the ecological crisis. This thesis, “Towards the development of a "green" worldview, and criteria to assess the "green-ness" of a text: Namibia Vision 2030 as example”, poses two research questions, and undertakes three tasks. The first question asks: “What does ‘seeing green’ as worldview mean?” “Green” emerges as not only pro-environmental attitudes and behaviours, but a fundamental challenge to western-cultural views on Self, and on the Self/Other relationship, including our human-nature relationship. It represents a total worldview, with its own legitimating narratives, epistemology, ontology, ethics, and viewpoints on real-world political issues as well. The green worldview differs sharply in its ultimate premises from mainstream sustainable development. On the green view, only the radical changes in Self, the Self/Other relationship, and society’s structures, which a green worldview demands, will be sufficient to avert the impending ecological crisis. A green worldview, while containing considerable diversity, is still sufficiently coherent and consistent that it can be reduced to a set of criteria and indicators for “seeing green”. This was the study’s second task. The study’s third task co-incides with its second research question: “How green is Namibia Vision 2030s worldview?” Namibia Vision 2030 is Namibia’s premier policy text designed to guide Namibia through a generation of sustainable development. Using the green criteria and indicators developed during the study, it is argued that particularly as far as this text’s ultimate premises on the human/nature relationship are concerned, its worldview is best described as pale green fading into grey. / Thesis (PhD)--University of Pretoria, 2008. / Psychology / unrestricted

L'évolution de l'imaginaire de l'écologie politique au début du XXIe siècle : la restructuration de l'écologie radicale française autour du mouvement pour la décroissance / The evolution of the imagination of political ecology at the beginning of XXI century : the remaking of French radical ecology about degrowth movement

Berthier, Charles 26 September 2014 (has links)
From the origins of the political ecology to now days, many ecologists think they are involved in the process of political and social transformation of their social and scientific universes. But it exceeds national borders and also continental limits. We will study the specificity of the French political ecology and outlook it with the American political ecology and, then, we will incite on the role of radical actors to redefine a radical ecology less consensual that the institutionalized ecology. In the 21st century the social need for a political stream and an ecological science increases trough the multiplication of human and natural disasters and the rise of their visibility in medias. Radical ecology suggests answers to those new challenges. We could then draw the specificity of the French political ecology which is, at the same time, close to conventional political actors by accepting the rules of the political field, at its frontiers, and, finally in touch with political margins.

The corpus is composed by texts whose themes are related to the environmentalism, enounced by Exame, IstoÉ Dinheiro and Época Negócios magazines published in 2010, that modalize the executive-readers. The goal of this research is to understand how the enunciators semiotically act to plug the hole in the liberal-capitalist discourse, which was left exposed by the antagonists factions that struggle by hegemony on the environmentalist field. Our thesis points that this operation promotes a sintomal inversion and, thus, in the weaker point of the hegemonic discourse s symbolic equivalence net the environment declared in crisis the enunciators build as a nodal point the sustainability , this positivized reverse. The system of production and consumption is re-signified by this inversion: instead of the cause of the environmental crises in the present it becomes the propitiator of a green and clean world in the future. About the methodology of research, it is based on the post-structural discourse analysis of Laclau, Mouffe, i ek, Howarth and Stavrakakis; on the dialogue with the French current of discourse analysis (AD), from authors as Maingueneau, Pêcheux and Ducrot; and on the aggregation of contemporary political philosophy elements proposed by Rancière, Agamben and Latour, between others. For a reflexion about the ecologist movements, it is specially based on authors that prioritize the political and discursive point of view, like Alier, Leff and Dryzek. The expectation to this work is that it can contribute to deepen the debate about the environmentalist discursive field politics and about the sustainability discourse, propagated each day more by the media machine / Esta pesquisa investiga como os enunciadores das principais revistas brasileiras de economia e negócios operam com a tensão entre os discursos ambientalistas e os seus contratos de comunicação baseados no liberal-capitalismo.

Vollgraaff, Heléne, 1966- 11 1900 (has links)
Environmental and green politics came into prominance during the last two decades. These two concepts, as well as environmentalism and ecologism are defined in this study and placed within the context of the political system. The emphasis is on green politics and ecologism. The global green movement is analysed according to policy, organisational structures and pattern of development. The South African environmental and green movements are described in the latter part of the study. It is shown that South Africa has a long history of environmentalism. The South African green movement is compared with the global green movement after which it is placed within the context of the South African political system. Green politics in South Africa seems to resemble the early stages of the development of the European movement and the concept of social justice is emphasised. Selected Western Cape groups are discussed according to information gathered by means of a questionnaire. / Political Science / M.A. (Political Science)
