I have compiled a diploma thesis "Perceptions of senior citizens by the generation aged 15 to 50 years." I am going to introduce this thesis in brief. I consider this topic as very up-to-date, which the whole of our society is concerned about. And this will become more important with the continuing population aging and the changing financial situation of the state. Currently, there has been discussion about views and attitudes of young people, who consider the seniors to be a burden on the country's economy and society. Young people think that seniors live at their expense. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part in individual chapters the current situation and basic terms concerning the issue are introduced. The state of seniorhood is explained, the status of seniors in society and family in the past and today is described. The issues of aging and changes in human behavior after retirement are dealt with. Everything what may influence society´s perception is described. Intergenerational conflict and solidarity between individual generations are dealt with. In the practical part, I conducted a research survey in the generation 15-50 years of age, the aim of which was to identify the views of young people on seniors. The results of the questionnaire survey were assessed, processed and put into the practical part. My own results were compared and discussed with other authors. I selected two objectives of the thesis. The main objective of my thesis was to study and clearly process the given issue. The other objective was to determine real relationships between younger generations and seniors, the views, opinions and attitudes of younger generations to seniors and to old age in general and to process the results in order to get a survey accessible and well arranged for the use of the general public. To obtain the data, I used the questionnaire method. The thesis could serve as professional literature, the issue of the relationship between young and older generations is compiled comprehensively. This thesis could bring benefits to society as a whole. It should be read by all members of society, who may find in this manner a lot of new information and interesting views, based on which they could change their opinions and views about the senior generation. The thesis would contribute to the promotion of intergenerational solidarity, which, in my opinion, is present in society, but gradually begins to fade away.

Therefore, three cases of school-age children who attended a non-governmental organization in the city of Santos were studied and the tools of semi-structured interviews were utilized with the mothers and The Drawing-Story with Theme with the children. Application was made as follows the participant was asked to design a child and then tell a story about the drawing. Thereafter, the child was asked to draw the father of this child and tell a story about this same design. We decided also to apply the The Raven's Coloured Progressive Matrices with the children. Although each case had its peculiarities, the results showed indications of disturbances of sexual identity, helplessness, insecurity, depressive tendencies, and the association between father absence, cognitive deficit and / or intellectual inhibition. It was also observed in one case, the mother's difficulty in allowing the father to fulfill his role as "father". It was concluded that father absence was perceived by the child not only as the absence of the father in the home, but by its omission: adding to the fact that the internalization of the father figure did not seem determined by the biological connection, but by the possibility of offering the child identification and affection. It would appear from this study that healthy psychological development can be facilitated by the introjection of good mother / father figures for the child. Thus, studies devoted to the theme of fatherhood are as important to be explored today as the ones intended to motherhood through the history of developmental psychology and psychoanalysis.(AU) / O presente estudo teve por objetivos a) investigar as repercussões da ausência paterna sobre o desenvolvimento da criança; b) descrever o conteúdo intrapsíquico de crianças com pais presentes e de crianças com pais ausentes no lar. Para tanto foram estudados três casos de crianças em idade escolar que freqüentavam uma instituição não governamental da cidade de Santos e utilizou-se dos instrumentos entrevista semi-estruturada com as mães e Procedimento de Desenho-Estória com Tema com as crianças. A aplicação foi feita nos seguintes termos, pediu-se ao participante que desenhasse uma criança e, em seguida que contasse uma estória sobre o desenho. Após, foi solicitado à criança que desenhasse o pai dessa criança e que contasse uma estória sobre esse mesmo desenho. Optamos também por aplicar o Teste das Matrizes Coloridas de Raven - Escala Especial com as crianças. Embora cada caso tivesse revelado suas peculiaridades, os resultados mostraram indicativos de distúrbios da identidade sexual, desamparo, insegurança, tendências depressivas, além de associação entre a ausência paterna, déficit cognitivo e/ou inibição intelectual. Foi também observado em um dos casos, dificuldades da mãe em permitir que o pai paternasse . Concluiu-se que a ausência paterna foi percebida pela criança não somente como a falta da pessoa do pai no lar, mas sim por sua omissão; somando-se ao fato de que a internalização da figura paterna não pareceu determinada pelo laço biológico, mas sim pela possibilidade de oferecimento à criança de identificação e afeto. Entendeu-se com esse estudo que o desenvolvimento psíquico saudável pode ser facilitado pela introjeção das boas figuras materno/paternas pela criança. Sendo assim, estudos dedicados ao tema da paternidade são tão importantes de serem explorados na atualidade quanto o foram aqueles destinados à maternidade ao longo da história da psicologia do desenvolvimento e da psicanálise. Fathers' involvement in the social development of children under six years: a social capital perspective and implications for early childhood development in the East London Education DistrictAdams, Clyde Glenith Graham January 2016 (has links)
The experiences of twenty fathers were explored to understand the involvement in the social development of children under six years. The main research question that guided the study was: what are fathers’ experiences with involvement in the social development of their children under the age of six years and what implications do these have for early childhood development? A social capital perspective was followed. The qualitative data was collected through the use of semi-structured interviews. The data was then analysed qualitatively. Results show that although most of the respondents could not give a definition of the concept of social development, they, however, understood the importance of parents playing a role in the development of a child. Fathers understood their role as supportive, nurturing and being there for their children. Fathers also understood their basic role as being the provider and protector. They also perceived their role as being authoritative and see themselves as the main disciplinarians. Results reveal that most schools do not offer programs specifically designed to encourage fathers to participate. Most importantly, results indicate that fathers’ interest in a variety of sporting activities, information sharing and talking about challenges both the schools as well as fathers face, are some of the ways fathers would like to be involved. Findings also indicate that although fathers acknowledged the role of the Department of Basic Education (DoBE) as mainly that of financial contributor in order to facilitate the skills development as well as that of information dissemination. However, fathers who took part in the study did not understand how the DoBE skills development agenda is envisaged for fathers. Notwithstanding, the respondents were quite clear that a father has an influential role to play in their children’s development. It also emerged that the greater the involvement, the more positive the influence on the child’s development. This study concludes that the presence of fathers in children’s lives is known to contribute significantly to their chances of experiencing positive developmental outcomes. Although the father-child relationship’s influences on children’s social competence have received increased attention in general, research on fathers’ understanding of their roles, involvement with their children as well as challenges confronting them with their involvement is scant. Based this the above, a number of recommendations have been made.

Text in Afrikaans / The earlier conceptualisation of the roles of fathers that only focused on the breadwinner, has been replaced by a number of unique roles that are fulfilled by the father. The different aspects of fatherhood have a reciprocal influence on each other and can influence the father’s experience. The goal of this qualitative study was to explore the father’s experience of twins in their middle childhood. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with eight fathers. From this study it became clear that fatherhood of twins can generally be seen as a positive experience, but fathers of twins face extra challenges that lack in the case of single children. The researcher came to the conclusion that by being aware of the changes in each developmental stage, the father can prepare himself better for fatherhood and handle situations that he experiences at a particular moment. Various suggestions that can be useful for parental guidance and preparing fathers of twins for fatherhood were made. / Social Work / M. Diac. (Play Therapy)

Previous issue date: 2012-03-16 / The present study aimed to: a) Characterize a sample of adolescents participating in social projects of an Institution in the coast of Sao Paulo, b) Investigate the aspects of the structure and dynamics of adolescents from single parent families, conventional families and other family settings c) Understand the relationships established with parental figures for adolescents belonging to these different family organizations. To this end, initially a characterization of the profile of these adolescents was carried out and, subsequently, six cases of adolescents aged 12 to 18 years participating of Social Projects of the Third Sector (NGO) belonging to different forms of family organizations were studied. These teenagers were attended at the Institution where the data were collected. Semi -structured interviews and the Thematic Apperception Test were the instruments used. Overall, the results showed that adolescents from conventional families, that is, with father and mother within the family, were able to internalize the imago pattern in a more integrated way, and go through the adolescence in a more stable manner. The struggle to elaborate mourning is experienced, in tanden with the so-called "Normal Adolescence Syndrome". Youngsters representing families in which the father is not present, present defenses and anxieties characteristic of earlier stages of development. It is our conclusion that further studies are required to meet this demand, so that preventive work can create the conditions for good psychological development, enabling the passage through adolescence and achievement of adulthood in an integrated manner. / O presente estudo teve por objetivos: a) Caracterizar uma amostra de adolescentes participantes de projetos sociais de uma Instituição de uma cidade do litoral paulista; b) Investigar aspectos da estrutura e dinâmica de adolescentes oriundos de famílias monoparentais, convencionais e de outras configurações familiares e, c) Compreender as relações estabelecidas com as figuras parentais por esses adolescentes pertencentes à essas diferentes organizações familiares.Para isso foi realizado inicialmente uma caracterização do perfil desses adolescentes e, posteriormente estudado seis casos de adolescentes de 12 a 18 anos participantes de Projetos Sociais do Terceiro Setor(Ong) pertencentes a diferentes formas de organizações familiares. De modo geral, os resultados mostraram que os adolescentes de famílias convencionais, ou seja, que possuem o pai e mãe no seio familiar conseguiram introjetar a imago paterna de forma mais integrada e, transitam pela adolescência de maneira mais estável. O esforço frente à elaboração dos lutos é vivenciado condizendo com a dita Síndrome da Adolescência Normal . Já os jovens pertencentes a famílias em que o pai não se faz presente no seio familiar, as defesas e as angustias apresentam-se condizentes aos estágios mais primitivos do desenvolvimento. Conclui-se que são necessários mais estudos frente a esta demanda para que o trabalho preventivo possa criar condições de um bom desenvolvimento psíquico para que este jovem passe pela adolescência e, chegue à vida adulta de maneira integrada.

A partir da análise da descrição do protagonista desta obra, Eugène de Ratignac, buscamos, com este conceito, expandir a compreensão da mimesis operada por Balzac, em diálogo com a tradição crítica iniciada com Platão e Aristóteles e revista por Erich Auerbach, e com as outras obras do escritor francês compostas no começo da década de 1830, especialmente Eugênia Grandet. / This dissertation analyzes the representation of ambition in the novel O pai Goriot (Father Goriot), by Honoré de Balzac. From the analysis of the description of the protagonist of this work, Eugène de Ratignac, we aim, with this concept, expand the understanding of how Balzac operated his mimesis, in dialogue with the critical tradition started with Plato and Aristotle and reviewed by Erich Auerbach, and the other works of the French writer, mainly Eugênia Grandet, composed in the early 1830s.

Esta dissertação propõe investigar o fenômeno das toxicomanias como conseqüência do declínio da imago paterna na cultura atual. O estudo foi iniciado pelo cotejamento do tema na teoria de Sigmund Freud e pela interpretação de que a toxicomania é uma resposta à satisfação sexual recalcada. A pesquisa explorou ainda esse tema no ensino escrito e falado de Jacques Lacan. O uso abusivo de drogas promove um gozo auto-erótico que busca liberar o toxicômano de ter que lidar com os impasses da castração. Por tal motivo foi explorada a queda da operatividade do significante Nome-do-Pai na atualidade. Se o significante autentica o sujeito do inconsciente e opera como regulador de gozo, a ascensão do objeto a ao zênite social provoca efeitos decisivos sobre o sujeito: a inconsistência do Outro, a predominância do discurso da ciência e do capitalista, e a proliferação dos novos sintomas. Nesse sentido, a segunda clínica de Lacan, a chamada clínica borromeana, foi utilizada para interpretar os modos de gozo na contemporaneidade. O atendimento de um paciente psicótico que faz uso de drogas mostrou a importância de trabalhar o diagnóstico diferencial para orientar a direção do tratamento. / This dissertation proposes to investigate the chemical dependency phenomenon as a consequence of the paternal imago decline in current culture. The study begun by collating the theme in Sigmund Freud theory and by the interpretation that chemical dependency is a response to repressed sexual satisfaction. The research also explored this theme in Jacques Lacans written and spoken teaching. The abusive use of drugs promotes a self-erotic enjoyment that searches to release the chemical dependent from dealing with the castration impasses. Therefore, the operative decrease of the significant Name-of-Father in nowadays was explored. If the significant authenticates the unconscious subject and operates as a regulator of enjoyment, the rise of the a object to the social zenith causes a decisive effect on the subject: the inconsistency of the Other, the predominance of the science and capitalist discourse and the proliferation of new symptoms. Accordingly, the second clinic of Lacan, called borromean clinic, was used to interpret the ways of enjoyment in contemporary period. The surveillance of a psychotic patient who uses drugs showed the importance of working on the differentials diagnosis in order to treatment direction.

[pt] Esta dissertação tem como objetivo destacar os elementos de satisfação presentes na neurose histérica, considerando que há um núcleo ligado a essa satisfação que, desde Freud, está para além da organização da novela familiar enredada pelo Complexo de Édipo. Para isso, é fundamental retomar o caso Dora, paciente atendida por Freud, propondo esta perspectiva: de que há um material de satisfação estranho, sem sentido, no sintoma histérico, que escapa à ordem prometida pelo pai. Essa questão será aprofundada no quarto capítulo deste trabalho, onde será trabalhada a histeria em nossos tempos. A interpretação paterna, que organiza uma vida, através de sentidos compartilhados, pode vir em um segundo tempo. Obviamente não está em questão retirar a importância que o complexo paterno, especialmente a identificação ao pai, possui em relação ao sintoma histérico. Nesta direção esta investigação se propõe a evidenciar e trabalhar a seguinte tensão: se ao mesmo tempo em que há uma satisfação no sintoma histérico, que é remetida ao pai como mensagem que busca uma resposta, há também uma parte da satisfação que não quer dizer nada, que porta um indizível, e ao mesmo tempo opera em cada sujeito, marcaram os corpos falantes com uma escrita que não é compreensível, mas que orienta um estilo de viver. Obviously it is not in concern withdraw the importance that the paternal complex has in relation with the hysterical symptom specially regarding the identification with the father. In this direction this research proposes itself to point and work over the following tension. If at the same time exists a satisfaction in the hysterical symptom that is referred to the father as a message that seeks for an answer there is also a part of the satisfaction that does not mean anything carrying an unspeakable at the same time that operates in each subject, marked their speaking bodies, with a writing that is not comprehensible yet guides a way of living. The present dissertation also points the challenge launched by the contemporaneous clinic to the psychoanalysts as in nowadays the Other, a certain otherness, it is not easily located which generates clinical consequences including to the function of the analyst as the one that is supposed to know something regarding the subject s suffering.

Previous issue date: 2016-12-02 / Esta pesquisa objetiva compreender de que forma é vivenciada a relação de humanização mãe/pai/bebê prematuro durante a hospitalização do recém-nascido na Unidade de Terapia Intensiva Neonatal. Buscou-se conhecer a construção de subjetividades, a partir da hospitalização e afastamento abrupto dos bebês. Foi utilizada uma abordagem descritiva, qualitativa, de cunho etnográfico. O material foi coletado por meio de observação no campo em uma instituição materno-infantil e pela realização de entrevistas utilizando-se um roteiro semiestruturado. A escolha das mães, dos pais e profissionais que participaram da pesquisa ocorreu por conveniência e na própria unidade de terapia intensiva. Foram realizadas entrevistas com sete mães, sete pais e sete profissionais que acompanharam e vivenciaram a experiência da separação precoce com seu recém-nascido, assim como o cuidado em sua prática cotidiana com neonatos prematuros, além de uma entrevista coletiva e não diretiva, com quatro mães que se encontravam no “Espaço Mãe”. O fundamento teórico foi o referencial de Winnicott, uma abordagem Psicanalítica de como se dá a construção do vínculo materno. As discussões e resultados permitiram: compreender os desafios encontrados pelas mães, pais e profissionais de saúde no processo de vinculação com o bebê internado; os sentimentos diante da separação precoce; as relações construídas entre as mães, pais e equipe de saúde no contexto hospitalar; questões atinentes à comunicação entre os profissionais com as mães, pais e familiares; estratégias de enfrentamento utilizadas pelas mães na aproximação com seu filho, bem como na travessia do sofrimento vivido. Procurou compreender a relação de humanização e o acolhimento direcionado às mães e aos pais pela equipe de saúde, ofertando estratégias de atenção mais humanizadas. Conclui-se que a intervenção oportuna, incorporada ao cuidado humanizado estabelecido pelo diálogo constante com a equipe de saúde, pode construir redes de apoio direcionadas à reaproximação do bebê com seus principais cuidadores no momento da separação, o que possivelmente resultará na redução da sua permanência na unidade hospitalar e de uma melhor qualidade do vínculo parental. / This research aims to understand how is experienced the relationship of humanization of the mother / father / premature baby during the hospitalization of newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. This study aimed to know the construction of subjectivities since the hospitalization and the abrupt separation of the babies. A descriptive qualitative and ethnographic approach, was used. The material was collected by observation in the field in the Institution and by conducting interviews using a semi-structured script. The choice of mothers, parents and professionals who participated in the survey was for convenience and occurred in the intensive care unit. Interviews were conducted with seven mothers, seven fathers and seven professional who followed and lived the experience of the early separation of the newborn as well as took care of premature infants in their daily practice. The theoretical foundation was Winnicott reference, a Psychoanalytic approach of how is the construction of the maternal bond. The discussions and results allowed to: understand the challenges faced by mothers, parents and health professionals in the binding process with the hospitalized baby; feelings about the early separation; the relationships built between mothers, fathers and health professionals in the hospital setting; issues related to communication between professionals and the mothers, fathers and families; coping strategies used by mothers to approach their child, as well as the suffering experienced. The research looked for understanding the humanizing relationship and the support directed to mothers and fathers by the health team, offering more humanized care strategies. It concluded that early intervention, incorporated into the humanized care established by the constant dialogue with the healthcare team, can build support networks aimed at baby rapprochement with their primary caregivers at the moment of separation, which might result in a reduction of their stay in hospital and a better quality of parental bonding.
