Contribuições da prática profissional integrada na formação inicial de professores

Esta tese aborda a formação de professores, a partir do Estudo de Caso do curso de Licenciatura em Química no Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia Farroupilha - câmpus Panambi. Iniciou pela inquietação da pesquisadora diante do contexto nacional de criação dos Institutos Federais e da ampliação de atuação destes, no âmbito da formação inicial de professores, com a oferta de Licenciaturas devido à exigência legal. A história da formação de professores na rede federal da Educação Profissional apresenta pouca possibilidade de superar o modelo da racionalidade técnica ainda presente nas Licenciaturas, mesmo uma década após a promulgação das Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais para esses cursos, que propõem a superação desse modelo pela ampliação e diluição das horas de prática de ensino ao longo de todo o processo formativo. A pesquisa, de abordagem qualitativa, objetivou acompanhar as Práticas Profissionais Integradas elaboradas e desenvolvidas para as duas turmas, que iniciaram em 2011 e 2012, buscando identificar matizes de estilos de pensamento (FLECK, 2010), expressas pelos licenciandos, na perspectiva da constituição do professor investigativo e colaborativo. Os instrumentos usados para a coleta de dados foram análise do Projeto Pedagógico do Curso, de entrevistas semiestruturadas, de gravações em áudio e vídeo das apresentações dos Projetos Integradores e das produções escritas das Práticas Profissionais Integradas para as duas turmas, bem como do artigo do primeiro estágio de docência da Turma de 2011. A análise do Projeto Pedagógico do Curso foi ancorada na Análise Textual Discursiva proposta por Moraes e Galiazzi (2007), e nos aportes das Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais para a Licenciatura em Química e orientações para as Licenciaturas nos Institutos Federais. Esta etapa da pesquisa apontou que os documentos intentam para a uma formação pautada pela integração curricular e pela constituição do professor pesquisador e reflexivo. No IFFarroupilha, todos os cursos ofertados contemplam a Prática Profissional Integrada desenvolvida através de um Projeto Integrador como alternativa para a inserção do Currículo Integrado em seus projetos e práticas pedagógicas. A proposta de Currículo Integrado, que tem como referenciais Frigotto, Ciavatta e Ramos (2005) e Araújo (2013), pressupõe uma integração epistemológica pela Filosofia da Práxis. Diante da quantidade de informações coletadas junto aos licenciandos, foram selecionados fragmentos elucidativos de 10 licenciandos para compor a tese. A análise, auxiliada pelo conceito de complicação, abstraído da epistemologia da gênese e desenvolvimento de um fato científico de Fleck (2010), permitiu apontar dimensões epistemológicas, afetivas e cognitivas como possíveis complicações nos estilos de pensamento existentes que podem desenvolver a formação e a constituição do professor investigativo e colaborativo defendido. / This work is about teacher's educaction, beginning with the case study of Chemistry degree course from Federal Institute for Education, Science and Technology – Panambi Campus. This study starts with my own anxiety as a researcher about the national context of foundation of Federal Intitutes and the enlargement of its action, especially in what concerns initial teachers training with the creation of bachelor degree level as a law obligation. The history of teachers training on federal network of Professional Education presents few possibilities of suppress a model of technical rationality that is still present in Bachelor degree, despite the fact one decade has passed since the promulgation of National Curricular Guidelines for this kind of courses that propose the suppress of the old model with the enlargement and the better distribution of the practice hours during the progress of their formation. This research has a qualitative approach and aims to monitoring the Integrated Professional Practice developed by two study groups, that started their studies in 2011 and 2012, seeking to identify nuances of thought styles (FLECK, 2010) expressed by undergraduate view of the constitution of investigative and collaborative teacher. The analysis of the Pedagogical Project of the Course was the instrument used to collect data. It was made semi-structured interviews, recorded audios and videos of integrated projects presentations and papers writing of Integrated Professional Practice from both groups. Also the study of the internship report produced for the first teacher training practice of the 2011 group. The analysis of Pedagogical Project of the Course was based on Textual Discourse Analysis, proposed by Moraes e Galiazzi (2007), and also focused on the National Curricular Guidelines proposes for the Chemistry bachelor degree and other guidelines to achieve degrees inside Federal Intitutes. This level of research point that documents aims to conduce to a kind of formation that is based on curricular integration and the constitution of a teacher-researcher and reflective at the same time. At IFFarroupilha, all courses offered include Integrated Professional Practice developed with the support of an Integrated Project as an alternative for the insertion of the Integrated Curriculum proposed to Federal Intitutes, that has as references Frigotto, Ciavatta e Ramos (2005) and Araújo (2013), supposes an epistemological integration by Praxis Philosophy. In face of the amount of information that has been collected, explanatory extracts from 10 undergraduates were chosen for this thesis. The analysis has been made with the support of the concept of complication, from the epistemological genesis and development of a scientific fact by Fleck (2010), those studies allowed to point epistemological dimensions, affective and cognitive, as a complication factor in existing thought styles that could to develop a teacher training to help the constitution of some kind of teacher that is a researcher and a collaborative person at the same time.

The Joker Returns: A new perspective on the violent Clown Prince of Crime

The new “Joker” movie, directed by Todd Phillips, was released in 2019 and brought a range of fervent and controversial discussion both in critics and audiences. Nevertheless, the “Joker” persona is tightly associated with comics and the superhero movie genre, and usually depicted in a particular way. However, the new movie differs in vital points. This study aims to explore the differences that lie between the “Joker”, and his depiction in the superhero genre. In order to investigate this inquiry, we conducted an exploratory research, and used latent content analysis. From our results, we extrapolate that the new movie constructs a more humane and approachable image of the “Joker”, as opposed to the “nameless” and “cold-blooded” villain. Simultaneously, we concluded that the movie adopts a more realistic and less entertaining approach towards violence, a prominent characteristic in superhero movies

On the Origins of the Modern Concept of Syphilis: Eighteenth Century Debate, Ludwik Fleck, and the Enlightenment

The enlightenment period is often considered a dark age within the history of medicine. Contrary to this sentiment, I argue that the enlightenment spirit of inquiry regarding venereal disease was vibrant, dynamic, and profoundly influenced how syphilis was understood in the subsequent century. Historiography frequently minimises advances of medical knowledge made in the eighteenth century by focusing on the inefficacy of treatments, rather than on developments in medical theories and concepts. This thesis attends to this gap by examining a case study within venereology to demonstrate that physicians engaging in public debate significantly advanced knowledge of syphilis. In doing so, this counters a historiographical trend that claims that French physician Philippe Ricord (1800-1889) was the first to distinguish syphilis from gonorrhoea in the nineteenth century. It uses historical evidence to show that the nature of syphilis was debated throughout the preceding centuries and that this distinction was clearly established in 1793 by Scottish surgeon, Benjamin Bell (1749-1806). This thesis uses the epistemic concepts devised by Ludwik Fleck in his Genesis and Development of a Scientific Fact (1979 [1935]) to illustrate how enlightenment ways of thinking substantially contributed to the development of modern medicine. This thesis therefore invites a reconsideration of the era, not as a dark age, but as a rich period of scientific endeavour.

O vírus da mancha das orquídeas ("Orchid fleck virus" - OFV), transmitido pelo ácaro Brevipalpus californicus, causa manchas cloróticas e necróticas em orquídeas de vários gêneros e foi relatado em diversos países. O diagnóstico de "orchid fleck", doença causada pelo OFV, tem sido feito através da análise dos sintomas, sorologia, observação de cortes ultrafinos de tecido infectado em microscópio eletrônico de transmissão ou RT-PCR. No entanto, apesar de testes moleculares serem freqüentemente mais eficientes e específicos que outros métodos, os "primers" disponíveis na literatura nem sempre detectam o vírus em baixas concentrações no tecido vegetal, ou amplificam regiões da planta sadia. Com base nas seqüências nucleotídicas da capa protéica viral depositadas no GenBank foram desenhados novos "primers", que amplificam um fragmento de 326 pb. Esses "primers" foram utilizados para a detecção do OFV por RT-PCR e para a marcação com digoxigenina de sondas para hibridização. A variabilidade de um fragmento do gene da capa protéica deste vírus foi estudada por polimorfismo conformacional de fita simples ("Single strand conformational polymorphism" - SSCP) e seqüenciamento de nucleotídeos. Quarenta e oito amostras de 18 gêneros de orquídeas foram coletadas no Brasil, Costa Rica e Austrália. As análises dos padrões de SSCP resultaram em seis haplótipos diferentes e em agrupamentos baseados na origem geográfica das amostras. Amostras representando cada um desses padrões foram seqüenciadas e comparadas com aquelas disponíveis no GenBank. A análise de SSCP provou ser eficiente para fornecer informações preliminares sobre a variabilidade do OFV. No entanto, apenas através do seqüenciamento de nucleotídeos das amostras foi possível determinar a real variabilidade das mesmas. / Orchid fleck virus (OFV), transmitted by the mite Brevipalpus californicus, causes chlorotic and necrotic ringspots in many orchid genera and was reported in several countries. Even though the molecular tests are usually more efficient and specific than other methods, the available primers did not always detect the OFV in low concentrations or sometimes amplified healthy plant samples. Based on the nucleotide sequences of the coat protein gene (cp) available in the GenBank, new primers were designed. These primers amplified a 326 pb specific OFV fragment and were used for RT-PCR and as hybridization probes. The variability of a fragment of the cp of this virus was investigated by "single strad conformational polymorphism (SSCP)" and nucleotide sequencing. Forty eight samples of 18 genera of orchids were collected from Brazil, Costa Rica and Australia. The SSCP analysis resulted in six different haplotypes and demonstrated a clustering in samples based on geographical origin. Subject of this study is the evolvement of the radical art music scene in Sweden. In this development took the labour movement an active part during the 1960s. The purpose of this study is to examine how the relationship between the radical art music scene and the labour movement was constituted and what this relationship implied for the Swedish radical art music scene during the 1960s. During the 1960s radical music became an influencial part in the Swedish music scene of modern art music. In this development the artists’ society Fylkingen had a central position. In the early 1960s Fylkingen began to incorporate writers, engineers, scientists, sociologists, philosophers, economists, etc. in their work and a number of projects were initiated which interacted with common society. A proposal for a public record company was developed together with KSF (Social Democratic Association for Cultural Workers) and was presented to the Swedish parliament. In collaboration with ABF (Workers’ Educational Association) the first studio for electronic music was build in 1960 and the relationship between the labour movement and the radical art music scene was institutionalized as the Stockholm Electronic Music Studio Foundation. This thesis uses the terminology of Ludwik Fleck to examine the relationship between the radical art music scene and the labour movement. The concepts of Thought collective and Thought-style are used to draw conclusions about common values and objectives within the Thought-style. The radical art music scene and the labour movement are understood to be part of a common Thought collective with a common style of thought. Because of this relationship, projects initiated in the radical music scene came to emphasize the democratic and educational aspects of music. In the latter half of the 1960s it was conceived impossible to achieve these goals under the existing program, leading to the notion within the style of thought that technological advancement was a prerequisite for a democratic music scene.

Contested Landscapes/Contested Heritage : history and heritage in Sweden and their archaeological implications concerning the interpretation of the Norrlandian past

<p>This case study explores how geo-political power structures influence and/or determine the conception, acceptance and maintenance of what is considered to be valid archaeological knowledge. The nature of this contingency is exemplified through an examination of how the prehistory of Norrland, a region traditionally considered and portrayed as peripheral vis-à-vis the centre-South, was interpreted and presented by Swedish archaeologists during the 20th century. This contextual situation is analysed through the implementation of three interrelated and complimentary perspectives;</p><p>1) The relationship between northern and southern Sweden is examined using concepts concerning the nature of colonialism, resulting in the formulation of 20 particulars that typify the colonial experience, circumstances that characterise the historical, and unequal, association that has existed between these two regions for the last 600 years.</p><p>2) Ideals of national identity and heritage as manufactured and employed by the kingdom and later by the nation-state, with the assistance of antiquarianism, archaeology and/or centralised cultural management, are outlined. The creation of these various concepts have reinforced and perpetuated the colonial and asymmetrical association between what has naturally come to be viewed as the peripheral-North and the centre-South.</p><p>3) A century of archaeological research into the Norrlandian past is studied using the concepts ‘thoughtstyle’ and ‘thought-collective’ as devised by Ludwik Fleck. This analysis disclosed a persistent set of reoccurring explanations that have constantly been invoked when interpreting and presenting the prehistory of Norrland. This archaeological thought-style has normalised the unbalanced power relationship between North and South that has existed for the last 600 years by projecting it far back into the prehistoric past.</p><p>This case study has demonstrated that archaeologists, unless acutely aware of the historical context in which they themselves move and work, risk legitimising debilitating economic and political power relationships in the present through their study and presentation of the past.</p>

Die Untersuchung 'Von den Ähnlichkeiten und Differenzen. Ehre und Drama des XVI. und XVII. Jahrhunderts in Italien und Spanien' stellt ein Standardwerk sowie den bisher stärksten und gründlichsten Beitrag zu einem der meistdiskutierten Themen der Hispanistik, zur Ehre und zum Drama des 16. und 17. Jahrhunderts unter Berücksichtigung Italiens dar, das im Rahmen eines kulturtheoretischen, semiotisch-epistemologischen Konzepts ein umfassendes Interpretations- und Erklärungsmodell für die interkulturelle und intertextuelle Behandlung der Gebiete Drama, Poetik, Ehre, Ethik, Rechtsphilosophie, Moraltheologie, Strafgesetze entwickelt. Die Arbeit gliedert sich in zwei große Abteilungen: die erste beschäftigt sich gleichermaßen mit dem Ehr-begriff, der Rache, der Ehe und dem Ehebruch in der Ethik und Jurisprudenz in Italien und Spanien. L’opera è divisa in due parti principali: la prima tratta il concetto di onore, vendetta, matrimonio, adulterio, ecc. nell'etica, nella giurisprudenza (attingendo alla giurisprudenza romana, tedesca e spagnola medievale, alla teologia morale, ai libri di confessori e predicatori, alle raccolte di proverbi e aneddoti sia in Italia che in Spagna). Sulla base di questo materiale, vengono stabilite le caratteristiche fondamentali, le similitudini e le differenze tra i due sistemi. Nella seconda parte, dedicata all’analisi drammatica della tragedia e della tragicommedia in Italia e in Spagna nei secoli XVI e XVII, lo stesso procedimento viene utilizzato per lo studio storico-tipologico dei generi drammatici (e delle poetiche) in entrambi i paesi, sviluppando un sistema esplicativo e interpretativo dei drammi d’onore. Il lavoro si conclude con un modello di interpretazione epistemologica (dell’origine del discorso dell’onore e dei suoi costituenti nella rispettiva episteme del tempo) e di segni (della sua concretizzazione in ‘segni’ semantici, pragmatici e sintattici). / The Study 'On Similarities and Differences. Honour and Drama of the Sixteenth and Seventeenth Centuries in Italy and Spain' is a standard work and the strongest and most thorough contribution to date to one of the most discussed topics in Hispanic Studies, Honour and drama in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, taking Italy into account. It develops a comprehensive model of interpretation and explanation for the intercultural and intertextual treatment of the fields of drama, honour, ethics, legal philosophy, moral theology and penal laws within the framework of a cultural-theoretical, semiotic-epistemological concept. The work is divided into two large sections: the first deals equally with the concept of honour, revenge, marriage and adultery in ethics and jurisprudence in Italy and Spain. (Here he draws on Roman, Greek and Spanish jurisprudence of the Middle Ages, on moral theology, on the books of the confessors and preachers, on collections of proverbs and anecdotes). On the basis of this material, the traits, the similarities and differences, between the two systems are analysed. In the second part, dedicated to the analysis of tragedy and tragicomedy in Italy and Spain in the 16th and 17th centuries, with over three hundred dramas, a comparable method, that of similarities and differences, is used in the historical-typological study (poetics) of the dramatic genres in both countries, providing a system that explains and interprets the dramas of honour. The work concludes with a model for the epistemological (from the origins of the discourse of honour and its constituents in the corresponding episteme of the period) and sign-like interpretation (in its concretisation in semantic, pragmatic and syntactic ‘marks’). / La recherche 'Des Similitudes et Différences. Honneur et drame aux XVIe et XVIIe siècles en Italie et en Espagne' est un ouvrage fondamental et la contribution la plus importante et la plus complète dans le cadre d’un système sémiotique-épistémologique de la théorie de la culture. Ici on développe un vaste modèle d’interprétation pour les domaines du drame, de l’honneur, de l’éthique, de la théologie morale, de la jurispru-dence, du droit pénal, etc. L’ouvrage est divisé en deux grandes parties: la première traite du concept d’honneur, de vengeance, de mariage, d’adultère, etc. dans l'éthique, la jurisprudence (en s’appuyant ici sur la jurisprudence romaine, alle-mande et espagnole médiévale, la théologie morale, les livres des confesseurs et des prédicateurs, les recueils de proverbes et d’anecdotes en Italie et en Espagne). Sur la base de ce matériel, les caractéristiques fondamentales, les similitudes et les différences entre les deux systèmes sont établies.
