The objective of this study is to understand the Fraternities of Rosary in Paraiba Country town as construction spaces and statement of the Afro-Brazilian identities, trying to identify the formers of those identities; to point the actions of the Afro- Brazilian ones in the construction of its identities and to describe the spaces of the Fraternities of Rosary in Pombal and Santa Luzia - PB. The image of the multidimensionality of a crystal allowed doing us an anchorage in the domain of the Cultural Studies, registering the phenomenon in the picture of the qualitative handle and in the beginnings of the ethnography. We adopted the oral history and the participant observation with the purpose of to describe and to interpret the way of life of a culture. Based in the authors, that recognize the multi-reference in different theories, methodologies and subjects in the practices of researches in education. The hypotheses and the subjects of the study emerged as the study went being developing. The vision of the subjects about the reality was obtained starting from inferences of the observation and field research, they turned explicit the implicit knowledge, recognizing that the study and the observation should disturb the less possible protagonists daily. The ethnography works with the culture, that it is expressed through the oral way in its natural atmosphere, allowing that the subject tries the History and the life history, in the spaces of the Fraternities of Rosary, and they expressed it by means of the speech, that is the natural expression of the memory. Thus, this thesis aims the possibility of construction of an alive history about Afro-Brazilian culture, in that the protagonists are the own members of the fraternities, describing the history of fights and resistances. For that, we started with the argument that education constituted in the spaces of Fraternities collaborates for the overcome that passive acceptance another s culture imposition. The appropriation of the spaces of the fraternities means the statement of the blacks identity, retaking for itself that it belongs it, becoming aware than it is to be a man black and to be a woman black, to be African, to be Brazilian, to be afro-Brazilian. This work conclude that spaces built by the Fraternities of Rosary in Paraiba Country town are dissociated with concessions of the Catholic Church, being constituted as spaces of existences, differents knowledge s, that cultural and educational practices feed the African identity and produce a type of knowing that strengthens the statement of the Afro-Brazilian identity.

Vališová, Kateřina January 2021 (has links)
The aim of the thesis is to describe and analyze the function of the Jesuit order in the royal city of Jihlava in the years 1625-1682 with special focus on the question how the Jesuit college managed to anchor itself in an environment that was mostly Lutheran for almost a century. The thesis is based on sources of both municipal and Jesuit provenance - i.e. mostly of Latin and German provenance, stored dominantly in the Moravian Land Archive in Brno and in the funds of the State District Archive in Jihlava. Thus, the thesis expands the topic of an already defended bachelor thesis, which focused on the establishment and institutional security of the Jesuit college in the context of the political and religious development of Moravia. The thesis thoroughly describes the relationship between the royal city and its burghers and the Jesuit college. From the viewpoint of the burghers, I follow the relationship on a study of pious gifts given to the Jesuit college by the burghers on ground of their testaments. This allows determining the level of attention paid to the Jesuit college by the burghers and whether they preferred it to other church institutions in the city. The next chapter offers an insight into the interaction on ground of the educational activities of the Jesuit order - it ascertains the...
