Graad 1-onderwysers se gebruik van kreatiewe onderrigpraktyk in Wiskunde

Roodt, Engela Liandrie January 2016 (has links)
The aim of this study was to describe ways in which Grade 1 teachers use creative teaching practice in Mathematics. An interpretivistic approach was used with qualitative research principles guiding the research process. The research design was a case study design. Three primary school teachers at an Afrikaans private school were purposefully selected. A multi-method approach to data gathering was taken. Firstly, the Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement (Foundation Phase): Mathematics was analysed to determine the guidelines of the Department of Basic Education regarding creative teaching practice in Mathematics. Secondly, the three participants each made a visual representation (poster) of their understanding of creative teaching practice in Mathematics, where after each participant's poster was discussed with her. Thirdly, a total of five Mathematics lessons were observed and one semi-structured interview was conducted with each participant. Fourthly, personal opinions, reflective thoughts and impressions of the research study were noted in the researcher's research journal. Results were derived from inductive thematic analysis of the documented data. After member checking, four themes were identified. Firstly, some fundamental principles for the use of creative teaching practice in Mathematics were deducted, which included sensitivity for learner differences, the use and development of learners' current knowledge, active learner participation in lessons, interest and joy in Mathematics lessons, and the inclusion of the life world of the learners in the Mathematics lessons. Secondly, the participants suggested possible implementation strategies for creative teaching practice in Mathematics, namely the implementation of problem solving skills, concrete experiences and resources, group learning and social interaction. Thirdly, some teacher qualities that promote creative teaching practice in Mathematics were indicated, namely teachers as specialist subject experts in Mathematics, motivators of learners, creators of a positive learning and teaching environment, interpreters and designers of learning programmes and material, and adaptability. The fourth theme emphasized the challenges regarding the use of creative teaching practice in Mathematics where environmental factors were indicated. Based on the findings the conclusion can be made that domain relevant skills, skills regarding creativity, intrinsic task motivation and the social environment are components that can be incorporated to promote the successful use of creative teaching practice in Mathematics. 'n Gevalstudie-ontwerp is as navorsingsontwerp gebruik. / Dissertation (MEd)--University of Pretoria, 2016. / Educational Psychology / MEd / Unrestricted

Zásada volného hodnocení důkazů v judikatuře / The principle of discretionary evaluation of evidence in Czech case law

Vopršal, Ondřej January 2011 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to represent in detail one of the fundamental principles of the Czech criminal procedure, the principle of free evaluation of evidence. At first the thesis deals with theoretical aspects of this principle, since they are almost unavailable in the modern literature. The author afterwards analyses the extensive judicature of Czech courts (including the Constitutional court) related to general issues of evaluation of evidence as well as to particular means of proof. The thesis also contains proposals of legislative changes, as the legal regulation of criminal procedure seems to be no longer satisfactory.

The Effect of ILO’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work on the Evolution of Legal Policy in Brazil: An Analysis of Freedom of Association

Moreira Gomes, Ana Virginia 15 February 2010 (has links)
This dissertation analyzes the effects of the ILO’s 1998 Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, taking as a case study ILO’s promotion of freedom of association in Brazil. It suggests that the 1998 Declaration’s promotional approach offers mechanisms that have the capacity to change a country's behaviour. In the case of Brazil, this change would involve reform of a corporativist trade union law that violates the principle of freedom of association. The peculiarities of compliance with the freedom-of-association principle represent a significant challenge to the ILO, especially when a country lacks the political will to comply with the principle. This dissertation shows that the 1998 Declaration provides mechanisms − information, qualification of the bureaucracy and support of independent actors − that can be used in these situations even outside the scope of a cooperation program to reform the law and modify public policy.

The present dissertation aims to know the way of being of the drawn animation through the understanding and observation of the Disney’s fundamental principles of the cinematographic animation. The intuitive method, practiced by Henri Bergson, constitutes the main foundation of this work, in the sense of promoting a study whose purpose is to understand the ways of being and acting of the object, taking into account its two tendencies, virtual and current. The set of twelve fundamental principles is studied from a technocultural approach, whose focus lies in the attempt to learn how techniques and sensibilities transform each other. Deleuze's concept of image-movement is fundamental in the research, since the principles are considered taking into account a relative dimension, referring to the formalities of the operations in the cinema, and an absolute dimension, in which the regimes of the image-movement manifest themselves. The observation of the absolute dimension is based on the cartography of the principles, according to the elaboration of two constellations - Masks and Mechanics - in scenes of four animated feature films, namely: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (USA, 1937 ), Toy Story (USA, 1995), Spirited Away (Japan, 2001) and Boy and the World (Brazil, 2013).

A Research of Our Legal System on Sexual Harassment Prevention Act

Chen, Li-chi 11 August 2008 (has links)
This research asserts that all the government agencies must abide by law in the exercise of public authority in democratic society. This research is developed based on the view of administrative laws, under the Five Frameworks of The Administrative Laws¡XPrinciples of Sexual Harassment Prevention Act, Administrative Organization, Administrative Power, Administrative Relief and Administrative Supervision. Scholars from all over the world and organizations of public and private sectors have been endeavoring in research of sexual harassment prevention and attempt to put forward possible solutions. As one of the law enforcement officials, the researcher believes that it¡¦s an inescapable duty to see into this issue seriously. The scope of application, rights protection and relief methods of relevant laws should be defined clearly. Thus, it will relieve the trauma of those who suffer from sexual abuse, find proper solution and minimize the damage. The methodologies this research adopts are Comparative Analysis, Literature Studies and Induction Research. The preliminary chapters define the ¡§Sexual Harassment¡¨ and its relevant laws, introduce the three laws stipulated against sexual harassment¡XGender Equality Education Act, Gender Equality in Employment Act and Sexual Harassment Prevention Act. Further, the identification of sexual harassment and its lawful application, the problems which existing laws confront are discussed in the following chapters. Consequently, for those unsolved problems, this research wishes to bring forward concrete suggestion for the legislators, under the five aforementioned frameworks, as reference to amend existing laws and regulations in the future. Sexual harassment is by no means a single problem, but a collective issue of politics, society, economy, power/rights, gender and social classes. Therefore, the civilization and progress should be founded on the fair treatment of genders and protecting victims¡¦ legal rights. The attitude we take towards the gender issue will deeply impact our life and quality of human rights. To pay back the victims with the justice, create an equal genders environment will rely on the awareness of equality and attitude of life one builds up.

Zásada subsidiarity trestní represe / The principle of subsidiarity of criminal law

Čásenský, Martin January 2016 (has links)
The main subject of this Master's thesis is the analysis of the principle of subsidiarity of criminal repression in the Czech legal order, both in historical context and the context of current legislation. This work is analysing the principle of subsidiarity of criminal repression with its relating principle 'ultima ratio' and its concept in the Czech, or more like Czechoslovakian criminal substantive law since the first half of the twentieth century till today. The principle is defined both in theoretical legal terms and the practical legal terms in the context of the Czech higher court case law analysis. In the first chapter of the presented work, the author is discussing the historical point of view at already mentioned principle which is described in more of a detail as it comes to its criminal law codexes accepted in the years 1950 and 1961.This chapter is meant to highlight the fact that a criminal act itself in this period of time - obviously taken the differences in the political arrangments of Czechoslovakia - was treated differently than it would be today, which decreased the legal reassurance of Czechoslovakians, who were 'looked after' mostly by the institute of former so-called social endangerment. It is also important to mention that this period of time used to deal with an intrusion...

Chaconne : modern stråke vs. barockstråke

Barth-Croon, Michelle January 2016 (has links)

Hellström, Anne, Sjöström, Lisa January 2007 (has links)

The purpose of this study was to examine and describe how politicians and directors of care define and experience quality in aged care facilities. Further on we wanted to compare on which fundamental principles the participants base their opinion about quality and how they work with quality. To reach our aim we conducted five interviews with politicians and directors of care. The results show that it is hard to determine quality in an unambiguous and objective way. Quality in aged care appears to be about relations and encounters amongst people. The participants in our study agree that experiences are subjective and depending on individual expectations.

There are fundamental principles shared by both politicians and directors of care regarding safety and respect of human integrity. Directors of care point out the difficulties in having multiple perspectives to consider, residents and their relatives have other expectations on what services should be provided than the directors of care understand to be their assignment from the local government. It appears to be a gap between political goals and reality. The future will bring changes, regarding both needs and expectations. The participants see a challenge in developing aged care and meeting new generations of elderly.
