„Google” paieškos „AdWords” skelbimų efektyvumo vertinimas / Assessing the effectiveness of „Google“ search engine „AdWords” ads

Darbe yra analizuojamas „Google“ paieškos „AdWords“ skelbimų efektyvumas. Dėl didėjančios informacinių technologijų svarbos, dauguma vartotojų ieškosi informacijos apie produktus ir paslaugas bei perka juos internetu. Todėl reklamos kūrėjams tampa ypač aktualus efektyvių paieškos sistemos skelbimų kūrimo klausimas. Darbo tikslas – remiantis moksliniais reklamos efektyvumo vertinimo šaltiniais ir „Google“ paieškos „AdWords“ skelbimų efektyvumo vertinimo rezultatais, pateikti bendrą „AdWords“ skelbimų efektyvumo vertinimo ir skelbimų efektyvumo didinimo modelius. Magistro baigiamąjį darbą sudaro trys pagrindinės dalys. Pirmojoje, teorinėje dalyje, yra analizuojami skirtingų autorių požiūriai į reklamos efektyvumo vertinimą, yra pateikiami „Google“ paieškos „AdWords“ skelbimų vertinimo ypatumai. Analitinėje baigiamojo darbo dalyje yra atliekamas pasirinktų „Google“ paieškos „AdWords“ reklaminių kampanijų skelbimų efektyvumo vertinimas. Trečiojoje dalyje yra pateikiamas „Google“ paieškos „AdWords“ skelbimų efektyvumo vertinimo ir efektyvumo didinimo modeliai bei pateikiamos skelbimų efektyvumo didinimo priemonės. / The paper analyzes the effectiveness of „Google“ search engine „AdWords“ ads. Due to the growing importance of information technology , most users search for information about products and services and buy them online. Therefore the issue of ads effectiveness has become extremely important to every advertiser. The objective of this paper is to present general model of „Google“ search engine „AdWords“ ads effectiveness measurement and opportunities of ads effectiveness improvement, scientific resources of advertising effectiveness assessment and results of case analysis. Master's thesis consists of three main parts. In the first, theoretical part of the work introduces analysis, comparison of different authors approaches to the advertising activities performance by finding out methods and indicators, which assess the effectiveness of the ads. The analytical part is based on case study which analyzes effectiveness of particular „Google“ search engine „AdWords“ campaigns. The third part is intended for the model, which shows how to measure effectiveness of the „Google“ search engine „AdWords“ ads, and oppurtinities of ads effectiveness improvement.

The Mundaneum Imaginaries : A Media-Archaeological Study of the "Paper Google" / Det föreställda Mundaneum : en mediearkeologisk studie av ”the paper Google”

In this two year master’s thesis, using concepts borrowed from media archaeology, I examine the construction, content and function of the alternative historical narrative that is mediated through the partnership between Google and Belgian museum and archives centre the Mundaneum. This alternative narrative presents Belgian bibliographers Paul Otlet and Henri La Fontaine as having prefigured the Internet and as having created an analogue “paper Google.” Through a close-reading of publicly available material related to the Google/Mundaneum partnership, I examine a set of issues relating to the interplay of dominant and alternative narratives, to the narrative function of realized and imaginary media, and to the implicit messages that this particular narrative mediates. In the study, I find that the examined alternative narrative is constructed both in opposition to and with support from the dominant narrative, and that recognition from international actors is used in order to confirm Europe’s place in Internet history. Furthermore, I note a tendency in the text to confuse and to conflate different media technologies. I argue that this confusion renders the narrative more flexible and dynamic, making it possible to connect the media created by Otlet and La Fontaine to any modern technology. Finally, I find that, by attaching different connotations or “media imaginaries” to the media depicted, the texts are able to present knowledge organization as a medium for peace, the Mundaneum as an important actor in information society, and Google as a company with its roots dug deep in European soil. / I den här masteruppsatsen diskuterar jag, utifrån begrepp lånade från mediearkeologi, det alternativa historiska narrativ som målas fram genom partnerskapet mellan Google och det belgiska museet och arkivet Mundaneum. Narrativet framställer de belgiska bibliograferna Paul Otlet och Henri la Fontaine som föregångare till Internet och uppfinnare till ett ”the paper Google.” Genom en närläsning av öppet tillgängligt material med anknytning till Google/Mundaneum-partnerskapet undersöker jag frågor som rör samspelet mellan dominerande och alternativa narrativ, verkliga och imaginära mediers narrativa funktion, och de implicita budskap som just detta narrativ förmedlar. I studien finner jag att det undersökta alternativa narrativet konstrueras både i motsats till och med stöd från det dominanta narrativet, och att erkännandet från internationella aktörer används för att bekräfta Europas plats i Internets historia.Jag noterar även en tendens i texten att blanda samman olika medieteknologier, och argumenterar för att denna förvirring i sig gör narrativet mer flexibelt och dynamiskt, och därmed gör det möjligt att sammankoppla medier skapade av Otlet och La Fontaine med vilken modern informationsteknologi som helst. Slutligen konstaterar jag att texterna, genom att fästa olika konnotationer eller “media imaginaries” vid de framställda medierna, framställer kunskapsorganisation som ett medium för fred, Mundaneum som en viktig aktör i informationssamhället och Google som ett företag med djupgående rötter i Europa.

Thesis deals with the operating system Google Chrome. First, the system is described (how it works, its user interface). Next there is a characteristic of applications that can be downloaded to the system and how they work. Another part is devoted to security, which consists of several elements. The end of the theoretical part is focused on Chromebooks - devices in which the operating system is sold on the market. The practical part is firstly characterized Dart programming language, which is then used for an application. This application shows not only work with the language, but also the benefits of Google Apps. It also shows compatibility with Windows and compares these two systems. In conclusion are described advantages and disadvantages of Chrome system and summarizes all knowledge arising from this work.

The subject of my diploma thesis is internet marketing. Due to its complexity, the thesis focus mainly on online advertisement, primarily to PPC campaigns. The thesis provides summary of PPC advertisement itself, their rules and also the whole structure of campaigns, keywords etc. The same concept is used for social network Facebook and its advertisement. The target is to point out the importance of both approaches and also to show the main differences between them. These findings are used for practical part, where the real PPC and Facebook campaigns are put into practice for selected institution. The target of this work is to use the findings from literatury research in the real case scenario. Based on the campaigns result, find out what are the positives and negatives of such campaigns and to show how important the internet marketing is.

Além disso, trata-se de uma plataforma moderna, flexível e open source, possuidora de ótima relação custo/benefício, quando comparada a outras plataformas, ou seja, ideal para a implementação do aplicativo AppAquisBluet. Nesse sentido, foram utilizados os métodos e técnicas destinados à plataforma Android, desde a SDK (Software Development Kit), linguagem de programação Java, API bluetooth, bibliotecas de terceiros como a GraphView, utilizada nas implementações gráficas do projeto, sem contar com o eficiente banco de dados SQLite destinado a aplicações móveis. Como produto resultante, apresentou-se o aplicativo AppAquisBluet e suas funcionalidades básicas, com a função de realizar aquisições de dados em tempo real, haja vista que esses dados podem ser apresentados em arquivo de texto ou graficamente e armazenados em banco de dados para futuras análises. Para tal aquisição, utilizou-se o hardware condicionador de sinal via bluetooth desenvolvido para converter o sinal analógico, captado pelo circuito da ponte de Weatstone, para digital e transmitido ao aplicativo AppAquisBluet, usando a comunicação bluetooth, plotando os dados no visor do aplicativo, além de exportar para a memória de armazenamento do smartphone como arquivo de texto para serem tratados, utilizando o software Excel. / The handheld mobile devices are gaining market and consolidating its position as one of the tools most commonly used in daily life of corporations or common users. It is due to investments of the mobile companies, networking companies, software and hardware companies and so on. This work addressed the evolution of mobile technology. We observed how mobile phones have turned into smartphones able to manage almost everything by our hands. Of course, because of sophisticated operational systems and specific platforms for development of applications. The aim of this study was directed to the development of AppAquisBluet application. It used the Android development platform that holds 75% of the mobile market by Google and its allies. Further, it is a modern platform, flexible, open source, an excellent cost and benefit compared to other platforms. That is why it is perfect for the implementation of the AppAquisBluet application. Accordingly, the methods and techniques used in its construction were the same of the Android platform, including the SDK (Software Development Kit), the Java programming language, the Bluetooth API, third-party libraries like GraphView, used in the graphic implementation of the project, and the efficient SQLite database designed for mobile applications. The resulting product was the AppAquisBluet application and its basic features, including the function of performing data acquisition in real time. The data can be coded in a text file or graphically and stored in a database for future analysis. For this acquisition, we used the signal conditioner hardware via Bluetooth. It was developed to convert to digital signal the analog signal received by Weatstone Bridge and then the digital signal could be transmitted to the AppAquisBluet application, using Bluetooth communication by plotting the data in the application display, and exporting to the smartphone storage memory as a text file that can be treated using the Excel software.

A presente pesquisa analisou a acurácia posicional horizontal das bases do Bing Maps, Google Maps e da World Imagery da Esri quando utilizadas como referência espacial on-line em um Sistema de Informação Geográfica no Município de São Paulo (MSP). A metodologia adotada foi a baseada no Decreto Federal no 89.817/84 e na Análise Estatística proposta por Merchant (1982). A análise da acurácia foi desenvolvida a partir das diferenças entre as coordenadas de 240 pontos nas cartas 1:1.000 do Mapa Digital da Cidade de São Paulo (MDC) em relação às coordenadas homólogas nas três bases, considerando separadamente as coordenadas do eixo Norte e Este. A base do Google Maps para o MSP foi dividida em duas (mosaico de ortofotos na área central e mosaico de imagens de satélite nas regiões periféricas), devido à grande diferença de acurácia entre os dois produtos. Para classificar cada base a partir do Decreto 89.817 foi definida a escala na qual somente 10% das discrepâncias tivessem seu valor superior ao PEC, e a escala na qual o Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) da amostra das discrepâncias fosse igual a 60,8% do PEC. A escala final selecionada foi a menor (menos detalhada) entre as definidas em cada um dos processos. A Análise Estatística foi baseada nos testes de tendência e precisão. Como as três bases apresentaram tendência, a escala definida pelo teste de precisão não foi considerada no cômputo final das escalas, devido à dificuldade de se eliminar a tendência nessas bases quando utilizadas no SIG. As escalas finais obtidas, relativas à classe A, foram: Google Maps (imagens de satélite): 1:12.400; Google Maps (ortofotos): 1:3.588; Bing Maps: 1:10.881 e Word Imagery da ESRI: 1:8.420. Concluiu-se que os três produtos com escalas próximas a 1:10.000 apresentam acurácia para serem utilizados como bases em SIGs nos estudos para planejamento urbano e que o Google Maps (ortofotos, com escala próxima a 1:4.000) pode ser igualmente utilizada para planejamento, mas em função de sua acurácia maior, pode servir também para a gestão de serviços urbanos. A principal limitação encontrada para as bases no uso como referência espacial em SIGs foi a inclinação das feições distantes do nadir da imagem ou da ortofoto e o consequente recobrimento de áreas adjacentes a essas feições. Entretanto, essa limitação se mostrou quase desprezível para as escalas definidas para as bases na análise da acurácia. / This research has analyzed the horizontal positional accuracy of basemaps Bing Maps, Google Maps and ESRIs World Imagery when used as an online spatial reference within a Geographic Information System for the municipality of São Paulo. The methodology was based on criteria defined by Brazil Federal Decree 89817/84 and in the analysis proposed by Merchant (1982). The accuracy analysis was developed observing the discrepancies between coordinates of selected 240 points from the 1:1000 digital map of São Paulo compared to corresponding points in the three basemaps, (coordinate directions North and East were considered separately). The Google Maps basemap for the city of São Paulo was divided in two (ortophoto mosaic for the central area and satellite images mosaic in the remainder peripheral areas), due to the considerable differences in their accuracy patterns. In order to classify each basemap as per Federal Decree 89.817, we have defined a scale in which only 10% of discrepancies were above the LMAS90 and the Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) of the discrepancies sample was equal to 60,8% of LMAS90. The final selected scale was the smallest (less detailed) of those obtained in each of the processes. The statistical analysis was based on the test of bias error and by a test of precision. Because the three basemaps have presented biases, the final scales defined by the precision test were not considered in the results, for it is difficult to eliminate biases in these basemaps when used in a GIS. We have obtained the following final scales to class A of the Brazilian Decree: Google Maps (area covered by satellite images): 1:12.400; Google Maps (area covered by ortophotos): 1:3.588; Bing Maps: 1:10.881 and ESRIs Word Imagery: 1:8.420. In conclusion, (a) the three products with scales around a 1:10.000 present accuracy to be used as basemap in GIS for urban planning studies and (b) Google Maps (area covered by ortophotos, scale around 1:4.000) can be equally used for planning studies, as well as urban services manager, due to its greater accuracy. The key limitations for the use of such basemaps as spatial references in GIS was the inclination of features which are distant from the image or ortophoto nadir (off-nadir effects) and the consequent shadowing of adjoining areas. However, this limitation is almost irrelevant to the scales defined for the basemaps in the accuracy analysis.

To support this work an extensive literature searching about On-line Education, Information and Communication Technologies, video media and the learning of Google Classroom tools was done. They were used like mediators of the questionnares process, activities and videos were analysed from a quantitative and qualitative approach. The results obtained in the analysis of the data seems like the goals of insert information technologies in teaching practice of using tools for classroom environment from “Google Classroom” to create an interactive environment where we can share teaching materials dynamically, to provide an interaction in real-time from the Google Classroom among teachers and students, all this to contribute significantly to the process of the teaching and learning of mathematics have been achieved. / O presente trabalho traz discussões sobre como a inserção de Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação na prática docente por meio das ferramentas para ambiente de Sala de Aula do aplicativo “Google Sala de Aula” contribui para o processo de ensino aprendizagem de Matemática. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida em uma turma de nono ano (9°ano) do Ensino Fundamental de uma Escola Municipal, situada na cidade de Uberlândia/MG. Para subsidiar este trabalho foi feita uma ampla pesquisa bibliográfica sobre a Educação a Distância, Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação, mídia vídeo e sobre o objeto de aprendizagem Google Sala de Aula. Foram utilizados, como instrumentos mediadores do processo: questionários, atividades e vídeos analisados a partir de uma abordagem qualitativa e quantitativa. Os resultados obtidos nas análises dos dados apontam que os objetivos de Inserir Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação na prática docente; de utilizar ferramentas para ambiente de Sala de Aula do aplicativo “Google Sala de Aula”; de criar um ambiente interativo onde se possa compartilhar materiais didáticos de forma dinâmica; de propiciar a interação em tempo real, a partir do Google Sala de aula, entre professores e alunos; tudo isso de forma a contribuir significativamente para o processo de ensino aprendizagem de Matemática, foram atingidos.

À l’avènement du Web 2.0, le monde virtuel devient une communauté extrêmement complexe dans laquelle on procède plus ou moins librement à des échanges d’informations et d’avis les plus divers. L’outil de communication, en constante évolution, fait émerger la voix de l’opinion dans le monde virtuel tout en influençant le contenu et la nature mêmes des messages des utilisateurs d’Internet. L’appareil de censure du web chinois, connu sous le nom de Grande Muraille électronique, a souvent fait l’objet de sévères dénonciations. Partant de la controverse, qui a ébranlé le monde politique et commercial, nous avons étudié les comportements linguistiques des acteurs du web chinois et nous avons examiné en profondeur les diverses modalités d’usage de la langue. Sur un corpus établi à partir des sites des médias, des forums, des blogs provenant des différentes communautés sinophones, notre objectif est d’expérimenter l’approche textométrique pour aboutir à une typologie différentielle des opinions. En nous appuyant sur les ressources lexicales, nous proposons divers critères d’analyse comparative pour tenter de dégager les opinions des auteurs à partir des textes qu’ils ont produits. Nous nous intéressons en particulier aux variétés et à la diversité des formes langagières des internautes chinois dont les nouvelles manières d’écrire ne se conforment pas aux règles et aux normes de la langue standard de l’écriture éditoriale. / With the arrival of the Web 2.0, the online world has become an extremely complex community, where information and opinions are more or less freely exchanged on all sides. The communication tools, constantly evolving, bring out public opinion in the online world and simultaneously influence both the content and the nature of Internet messages. Internet censorship in China, known as the Great Firewall, has often received harsh criticism. By the example of the controversy between Google and the Chinese government that shocked the political world and the market in 2010, we study the linguistic behaviour of participants on the Chinese Internet and examine the various forms of the use of language in depth. Based on a corpus established from media websites, forums, blogs in various Chinese-speaking communities, our goal is to apply the textometric approach in order to establish a differential typology of opinions. Building on the lexical resources, we offer various benchmarking criteria to try to extract authors' opinions from the texts that they have produced. We are particularly interested in the varieties and diversities of language forms of Chinese Internet users, where new ways of writing do not comply with the rules and norms of standard language as found in editorial writing.

Web programming is getting more and more important every day and as a consequence, many new tools are created in order to help developers design and construct applications quicker, easier and better structured. Apart from different IDEs and Technologies, nowadays Web Frameworks are gaining popularity amongst users since they offer a large range of methods, classes, etc. that allow programmers to create and maintain solid Web systems.This research focuses on two different Web Frameworks: Ruby on Rails and Google Web Toolkit and within this document we will examine some of the most important differences between them during a Web development.
