Neste trabalho, estudamos as estruturas em língua portuguesa em que ocorre a chamada indeterminação do sujeito. A partir da análise de textos publicados em jornais de grande circulação nos estados do Rio de Janeiro e de São Paulo, analisamos as principais características, sintáticas, semânticas e discursivas da indeterminação do sujeito, diferençando-a da indeterminação do papel temático exercido pelo sujeito (de ordinário, agente). Ressalta-se a importância de analisar o verbo, com suas propriedades, para melhor apreciar o fenômeno da indeterminação. Levantamos as principais noções de sujeito e de indeterminação do sujeito, em diversos estudiosos da Língua Portuguesa. Cuidamos em compará-las e em verificar os critérios (sintáticos, semânticos, mórficos e discursivos) implicados na indeterminação do sujeito. From the analysis of texts published in periodicals of great circulation in the states of Rio De Janeiro and São Paulo, we analyse the main syntactic, semantic and discoursive characteristics of the indetermination of the subject, distinguishing it from the semantic role played by the subject (usually, agent). We emphasize the importance of analysing the verb and its properties to give a better account of the phenomenon of indetermination. We search the main concepts of subject and 'indetermination of the subject' in several scholars works on Portuguese. We compare them and verify the criteria (syntactic, semantic, morphological and discoursive) implied in the expression 'indetermination of subject'. Besides, we search in schoolbooks and grammars how the subject is introduced, its definitions, the exercises etc., in order to be able to compare them and to reflect on them

Este trabalho tem por objeto de estudo um fenômeno do português do Brasil mais comumente encontrado em textos formais. Trata-se do pronome fraco se precedendo verbos infinitivos. Esse item compete com zero na indeterminação do sujeito em orações encaixadas, mais precisamente em orações completivas de nome e adjetivo, temporais e finais. Propõe-se descrever os fatores condicionadores da inserção do se em sentenças nãofinitas do português brasileiro e promover um análise da questão à luz da teoria gerativa no seu modelo de Princípios e Parâmetros (Chomsky 1981, 1986a). Tomou-se como corpus textos formais de alunos da pós-graduação de diversas áreas do conhecimento da Universidade de São Paulo, hipotetizando que o teor científico do texto proporcionaria a estratégia de indeterminação por nós analisada. Em seguida, foram elaborados testes de produção junto aos alunos da graduação dessa mesma universidade a fim de verificar se as respostas produzidas por eles corroborariam os resultados encontrados nas dissertações e teses. Dentre os fatores mais relevantes para justificar a inserção de se nas construções com verbos infinitivos, destacou-se a preposição. Para a análise interpretativa desse achado, seguimos a proposta de Mioto & Kato (2002). / This dissertation aims at studying a Brazilian Portuguese phenomenon commonly found in formal texts. It is the se insertion as subject of infinitive clauses. This particle competes with the null category in the subject indetermination in embedded clauses, more precisely in the complement of noun and adjective clauses and clauses of time and finality. It is intended to describe the conditioning factors of the se insertion in non-finite sentences from Brazilian Portuguese and promote an analysis of the matter having the Generative Theory in its model of Principles and Parameters (Chomsky 1981, 1986a) as a reference. At first, it was used as corpus formal texts by graduate students from different areas of knowledge from Universidade de São Paulo, hypothesizing that the text scientific wording would allow the strategy of the indetermination analyzed in this dissertation. Secondly, production tests were elaborated with undergraduate students from the same university in order to verify if the answers produced by them would confirm the results found in the dissertations and theses. Among the most relevant factors to justify the se insertion in the constructions with infinitive verbs, the preposition stood up. For the interpretative analysis, we followed Mioto & Kato (2002) proposal.

Este trabalho apresenta o portfólio de composições, com partituras, gravações de áudio e vídeo, e descrição dos processos composicionais, integrado pelas peças: Conversando a Gente se Entende, para sexteto com flauta, clarineta, violino, violoncelo, piano e percussão; Trova, para viola, fagote e piano; Oração, para quarteto de trombones; Trio para Madeiras, para flauta, clarineta e fagote; e Páscoa de San Juan, para viola, baixo elétrico, fagote, voz, com movimentação cênica e parte gravada. As motivações que nortearam o processo composicional partiram do princípio da indeterminação, utilizando improvisação como ferramenta composicional. As peças resultaram de improvisações e planejamentos em diferentes níveis durante o processo composicional. São enfocados os procedimentos acrescentados à minha prática composicional, como o uso de précomposição com planejamento da forma, e reaproveitamento de materiais oriundos de improvisação. São debatidos ainda alguns aspectos ligados ao uso de indeterminação e improvisação. / This study aims at presenting a portfolio of compositions comprising worksheets, video and audio recordings, and the description of the composition processes of the following works: Conversando a Gente se Entende - flute, clarinet, violin, cello, piano, percussion; Trova - viola, bassoon, piano; Oração - 4 trombones; Trio para Madeiras - flute, clarinet, bassoon; and Páscoa de San Juan - viola, electric bass, bassoon, voice, scenic movement, and pre-recorded part. The motivational aspects found in the composition process are characterized by the principle of indetermination, through which improvisation is used as a tool in the process of composing. The works result from the use of improvisation and planning at different levels during the composition process. The present study also focus on the procedures added to my personal practice in composition, such as the use of precomposition with shape planning, and the reuse of material found in improvisation. Moreover, it discusses some aspects related to the use of indetermination and improvisation.

O objeto de estudo deste trabalho são as estruturas em língua portuguesa padrão em que ocorre a chamada indeterminação do sujeito. A partir da análise de textos do gênero entrevista, publicados na Revista Veja (seção 'páginas amarelas'), analisam-se as principais características sintáticas, semânticas, pragmáticas e discursivas do sujeito indeterminado. Admitindo que a linguagem permite ao homem interpretar o mundo em que vive, busca-se apresentar os mecanismos de indeterminação do sujeito como uma forma de referenciação indeterminada. Para tanto, foram investigadas, criticamente, as principais noções de sujeito e de sua indeterminação, em diversos estudiosos da língua portuguesa, desde épocas remotas até os dias atuais, comparando-se os critérios (sintáticos, semânticos, mórficos e discursivos) apresentados nesses estudos. A partir da análise do corpus, verifica-se que os diversos mecanismos de indeterminação possuem graus específicos e que se podem permutar. Além disso, fica patente que há tipos verbais afins a certas estruturas de sujeito indeterminado. Desse modo, a referenciação indeterminada construída a partir do lugar sintático sujeito caracteriza-se como poderosa estratégia discursiva / The object of this work is the structures in standard Portuguese language in which the call occurs indetermination of the subject. From the analysis of texts of the genre interview published in Veja magazine (section ' yellow pages ') analyzes the main syntactic, semantic, pragmatic and discourse features of an indefinite subject . Assuming that the language allows man to interpret the world in which he lives, we seek to present the mechanisms of indetermination of the subject as a form of indeterminate referring. For this purpose, we investigated critically the main notions of subject and its indeterminacy , many scholars in the Portuguese language , since ancient times to the present day , comparing the criteria (syntactic, semantic, and discursive morphic) presented in these studies . From the analysis of the corpus, it appears that the various mechanisms of indeterminacy have specific degrees and can be interchanged. Moreover, it is clear that there are verbal related to certain types of indeterminate structures subject . Thus, the indefinite referring constructed from the syntactic place subject is characterized as powerful discursive strategy

L’écriture de Maurice Blanchot est-elle dirigée par sa pensée philosophique ou par sa pensée littéraire ? Du fait de son double rôle, le critique et le romancier, son écriture nous paraît pouvoir présenter ces deux genres de pensées, philosophique et littéraire. La pensée philosophique vise le but de dévoiler la vérité et, avec elle, l’écriture devient la représentation qui met en œuvre la pensée dialectique ; à ce titre, chaque mot doit correspondre au propos d’un penseur afin que le lecteur puisse le suivre. La pensée littéraire repose sur la transformation de ce qui était et, avec elle, ce qui est écrit n’est pas encore écrit mais à écrire ; un romancier demande au lecteur de chercher le deuxième sens dans son écriture, autrement dit, ce qu’il dit peut ne pas être ce qu’il veut dire. C’est de là que viennent deux sortes d’écritures : l’une dit le vrai, l’autre ment. Comment le lecteur distingue-t-il la réalité de la littérature de Blanchot ? En lisant la critique de Blanchot, le lecteur parvient-il à croire en son auteur qui est aussi un romancier ayant une écriture détournée ? Nous nous demandons si, en écrivant, Blanchot ne se trompe jamais entre ses deux rôles. En ce sens, notre thèse interroge sur l’indétermination de l’écriture de Maurice Blanchot. / Is the writing of Maurice Blanchot determined by its philosophical thought or literary thought? Because of his dual roles, critic and novelist, Blanchot’s writing seems to display two possible thoughts: philosophical and literary thoughts. Philosophical thought is the aim on uncovering the truth. As a result, the writing becomes an implement to represent the dialectical thinking. Every chosen word must correspond to what the thinker stated so that the reader can follow it. Literary thought bases on transforming the original fact. A novelist asks the reader to look for the second meaning in his writing, in other words, what he wrote is not equal to what he meant. Thus what is written (by the author) is not yet written, but is waiting for written (by readers). There are two kinds of writing: one tells the truth, the other tells the lie. How can readers distinguish the reality from the writing of Blanchot? Can readers believe Blanchot’s literary criticism while he is also a novelist along with those rhetorical writing skills? One questing would Blanchot never confuse between his double roles. Accordingly, this thesis will discuss the indeterminacy within the writing of Maurice Blanchot.
