The Innovative High School Program (Programa Ensino Médio Inovador - ProEMI) was created by the Education Ministry (Ministério da Educação – MEC), in 2009, in order to promote the reformulation of school curricula through innovative pedagogic techniques. The present work aims to verify if the Secretary of Education from Amazonas (Secretaria de Educação do Amazonas – Seduc/AM) monitored the proposed and developed actions at the schools from the region, in the period of 2009 to 2014, which were selected and aproved for this program. The field research we present is qualitative, in which the analysis of the normative documents referent to the high school program were used. Even more, semi-structured interviews were made with six government workers whom are directly linked to the coordination of the program at Seduc, in order to understand their perceptions of how the program monitoring proccess followed. About the theoretical aspects of High School, the references we used were Cury (2002) and Krawczyz (2003), and about the cycle of public politics we used the studies by Condé (2012), Mainardes (2006), Lück (2013) and Schneckenberg (2000). From the data analysis, this study reached the conclusion that no monitoring was done, what led the proposition of a educational action plan that enables the monitoring effective realization, to attain the objective of ProEMI, that is, the curricula reestructuration that contributes to the teaching improvement of this educational step.

Les entreprises à mission : Formes, modèle et implications d’un engagement collectif / The mission-driven companies : Forms, model and implications of a collective commitment

Levillain, Kevin 02 April 2015 (has links)
In recent years, several states have introduced new corporate forms into their commercial law, which requires the commitment of shareholders towards a “mission”. By stipulating their purposes in their documents, these companies appear as a paradox for literature on corporate governance: would such a commitment not hamper strategic flexibility and undermine the monitoring of management? Is it not likely to deter shareholders' investments? The aim of this thesis is to explain the emergence of "mission-driven companies", to understand their motivations, but also to characterize the alternative model of governance they draw and the significance of this model in management science.First, the analysis of the process of emergence and design of these mission-driven forms in the United States enables us to enrich the classical model of the corporate contract, by showing that such a contract can have restrictive effects on the collective purposes if it only contains a commitment on invested resources, or provisions on the distribution of decision rights or value created to stakeholders. The thesis proposes, in a second step, a model of the "mission": by specifying desirable, yet potentially inventive, properties of the upcoming collective action, the mission calls for the design of novel strategies aiming at building new commons and collective interests. This model reveals, beyond the new legal forms, a wider class of “mission-driven” organizations, of which we can observe numerous variations both historically and currently. Finally, the thesis examines the systems of governance of mission-driven companies. A study of contrasting cases shows original devices combining control of the strategic exploration and solidarity mechanisms. The mission thus opens fruitful perspectives to explore new possible systems of solidarity.

Process modeling of innovative design using systems engineering / Modélisation du processus de conception innovante en utilisant l'ingénierie système

Zhang, Qiang 28 February 2014 (has links)
We develop a series of process models to comprehensively describe and effectively manage innovative design in order to achieve adequate balance between innovation and control, following the design research methodology (DRM). Firstly, we introduce a descriptive model of innovative design. This model reflects the actual process and pattern of innovative design, locates innovation opportunities in the process and supports a systematic perspective whose focus is the external and internal factors affecting the success of innovative design. Secondly, we perform an empirical study to investigate how control and flexibility can be balanced to manage uncertainty in innovative design. After identifying project practices that cope with these uncertainties in terms of control and flexibility, a case-study sample based on five innovative design projects from an automotive company is analyzed and shows that control and flexibility can coexist. Based on the managerial insights of the empirical study, we develop the procedural process model and the activity-based adaptive model of innovative design. The former one provides the conceptual framework to balance innovation and control by the process structuration at the project-level and the integration of flexible practices at the operation-level. The latter model considers innovative design as a complex adaptive system, and thereby proposes the method of process design that dynamically constructs the process architecture of innovative design. Finally, the two models are verified by supporting a number of process analysis and simulation within a series of innovative design projects.

Inovativní přístupy k hodnocení žáků 1. stupně ZŠ / Innovative approaches to the assessment of pupils at primary education

Žákovská, Kateřina January 2016 (has links)
In the theoretical part of the thesis we will define the term of assessment according to the literature and we will also present different types, functions and forms of assessment. The main part of the theoretical part is focused on final verbal assessment which is currently put on the same level within the educational system by the new Education Act as the traditional mark system. The development of this way of assessment since 1989 will be reflected. Advantages and disadvantages of this kind of assessment will be summed up in the thesis. Strategies which can help the teacher to collect the materials for the final verbal assessment effectively are also to be found in the thesis. Then, there will be the comparison of traditional and final verbal assessment. The form of final verbal assessment in Great Britain and in Germany will be introduced in the next part of the thesis. In the empirical part of the thesis we will examine the way of final verbal assessment in the primary schools' practice. Advantages and disadvantages of this assessment will be presented from the view of the pupils, the teachers and the parents. The school director will also evaluate final verbal assessment. This information will be obtained by different research methods - a questionnaire for the pupils and the parents, an...

Professional development of academic staff in private higher education / Living theory / Mentorship

Boshoff, Annette January 2014 (has links)
A common phenomenon in the private higher education environment is that lecturers are highly qualified subject specialists and conduct research mainly in areas in their fields of expertise. Therefore they are not always well informed about the dynamics of the global educational environment and they do not have an indepth knowledge of how learning takes place. As a result of this the traditional lecturing style is mainly used during contact sessions and mostly theoretical knowledge is assessed in written examinations. During class visits that were conducted as part of my duties as quality assurer of the teaching, learning and assessment that take place in the Production Management Institute of Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd (trading as PMI), a private higher education institution, it was noticed that the facilitators of learning present mostly lectures that are based on one-way communication with very little student participation. Learning style flexibility and allowing active student participation during the contact sessions are, in most instances, not considered. This lecturer-centred practice prevents the students from developing responsibility for their own learning process and creating an interest in becoming lifelong learners. An action research-driven professional development programme was presented to the academic staff of PMI to allow them the opportunity to develop innovative facilitation of learning practices. The programme aimed to create a scholarly approach to establishing a culture of lifelong learning in the private higher education environment – in literature commonly referred to as a scholarship of learning and teaching. The academic staff members conducted action research on their own practices as facilitators and assessors of lifelong learning. I conducted living theory action research on my style of being a mentor for the participants of the project. The programme commenced in 2009. The content of and the level on which the programme was presented are in line with a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PGCHE) that is offered at a public institution. The participants were introduced to, inter alia, the principles of the Ned Herrmann Whole Brain® theory, Gardner’s multiple intelligence theory and Bloom’s taxonomy of cognitive levels. As the first step in the programme all the participants completed the on-line Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument® (HBDI®). An accredited Hermann Brain Dominance practitioner was contracted to provide feedback to the participants and to explain the principles of this instrument. The HBDI® practitioner is affiliated on a full-time basis with the education faculty of a public higher education institution. He was contracted to facilitate the professional development programme as well. The success of the programme became evident through student feedback and requests, and feedback received from the participating facilitators of learning. Top level management of PMI also became aware of the successes and it resulted in the inclusion of the development of the academic staff members as one of the main focus areas in the strategic management plan for 2010. It was decided that the programme should be repeated every year in order to ensure the continuous professional development of existing and new academic staff members. PMI was invited to offer the programme in the Agriculture and Science Faculty of a public university. Parts of the project were showcased at the 2010 and 2012 conferences of the Higher Education Learning and Teaching Association of South Africa (HELTASA) and the Knowledge 2011 international conference. / Thesis (PhD)--University of Pretoria, 2014. / lk2014 / Humanities Education / PhD / Unrestricted

Le développement de l’ambidextrie contextuelle à l’aide d’un outil de gestion : étude de cas exploratoire du Fab Lab interne chez Renault / The development of contextual ambidexterity through a management tool : exploratory case study of Renault's internal Fab Lab

Lo, Amadou 04 December 2015 (has links)
This thesis aims to better understand and support corporate innovation strategies to help them coping with the challenges associated with the intensification of the dynamics and changes in the economic environment. However, in order to survive these economic rhythms, previous research recommends organizations to reconcile their exploitation and their exploration activities, concomitantly. In this context, our work specifically examines an innovation strategy giving particular attention to the initiatives of individuals in exploration activities : contextual ambidexterity. Simultaneously, our research examines an object of research previously unreleased in academic studies : the corporate Fab Lab (or internal Fab Lab). At the crossroads of these two subjects, this thesis raises the question of the development of contextual ambidexterity through a corporate Fab Lab. Our case study is conducted in Renault Group, one of the first structures to develop this practice of corporate Fab Lab. Our analysis permits to define this management tool as a quasi-structure conducive to the development of contextual ambidexterity. It then presents the guidance to lead in the objective of developing contextual ambidexterity through a corporate Fab Lab.

Aplikace principů managementu 2.0 v českém prostředí / Implementation of management 2.0 principles in Czech businesses

Gajová, Klára January 2017 (has links)
This Master´s thesis entitled Implementation of management 2.0 principles in Czech businesses focuses on innovative ways of managing companies and their employees. The aim of the work is to evaluate based on qualitative research to what extent and in what form are management 2.0 principles pursued in the Czech business environment. The theoretical part contains definitions of basic management concepts, reasons of management model innovation and description of management practices used in both traditional and alternative management. Based on academic literature, the theoretical part prepares the ground for practical work. The practical part is in addition to the analysis of available information based primarily on interviews with managers and employees of Czech companies that are outwardly practicing various approaches to management 2.0. The work is beneficial especially to business executives and management students, who can deepen their knowledge about management trends in the 21st century. The thesis can serve to future job applicants as a source of valuable information on innovative employers on the Czech market.

: évaluation d'un modèle motivationnel pour l'innovation / Can goal-directed regulatory processes lead to innovative performance? : testing a motivational model of innovation

Montani, Francesco 29 May 2013 (has links)
The present dissertation aims at applying goal regulation theory to the study of innovative work behaviour. After reviewing the state-of-the-art of innovation literature (first chapter), we conducted three empirical studies on distinct samples. In the first study (second chapter), we hypothesized and found that proactive goal generation – which includes envisioning and planning processes – was positively related to innovative behaviour, and that affective commitment, interacting with production ownership or, alternatively, with leader support for innovation, strengthened this relationship. In the second study (third chapter), we proposed and showed that planning mediated the link between envisioning and innovation, and that psychological empowerment and team support for innovation positively moderated the relationship between envisioning and planning. Finally, in the third study (fourth chapter), we theorized and demonstrated that learning goal orientation, psychological climate for innovation, and task variety enhanced innovative performance indirectly through the mediation of envisioning and planning, and that learning goal orientation amplified the relationship between planning and innovation. Theoretical and practical implications of our works are addressed in the general discussion.

Innovative management of management innovation (IMMI)

Chaniadi, Frengky January 2014 (has links)
The rapid convergence of collaborative technologies, democratisation of digital communication and consumerisation of Smart Grid infrastructure (i.e.: smart metering and distribution substation automation) have faltered the efficacy of centralised command-and-control and its insular sub-culture. For complex firms in today's creative economy, this infers that management innovation (MI)—“an induced managerial capacity to search for novel ways to create value”, is rapidly becoming liabilities unless it is innovatively managed for overcoming the inertia of discontinuity opportunities. The raison d'être of this thesis is to investigate the generative managerial processes through which MI can be fostered for experimentation and innovatively managed for acceleration. It comprises four qualitative case studies that involved in-depth interviews, surveys, public records and archival documentaries of four Canadian energy and utilities organisations. The conclusions are fascinating both expected and unanticipated. I found that many, if not most, of the contemporaneous routines of pyramidal target-setting and benchmark-driven cultures are ubiquitously evident. Business planning and risk management still function, albeit the objects of those tenets are different. These quasi-objects include, but are not limited to, organic structures, web-enabled paradigm, pragmatic mindset of middle-down-up crowdsourcing and fragmented evaluation of efforts to evoke the innovative management of management innovation (IMMI). Further adjacent to the quest for driving renewed growth, a new governing dynamic is hinging upon the IMMI that forges a pattern for resiliency and sustainability. Managers capitalise on the epistemic IMMI to regain competitive advantage while enduring endogenous fiefdoms and exogenous disruptions. They catalyse information semantically, harness collective capability effectively, stage prolifically faster MI experimentations and accelerate the cycle of MI more pervasively. I henceforth propose a unified managerial process, dubbed the "Cloverleaf 4S Model" (Strategise—Synchronise—Steward—Sustain). Implicit in this approach, managers believe that their finely-tailored practices epitomise an evolutionary process of deliberate selection in the pursuit for distinctive MI capabilities and expanding authority dynamics in the managership. This allows for self-adaptive mechanisms shifting from silos to swarming as well as the indigenous aspects of IMMI practices—exaptation, cognitive flexibility, speed to adaptation and executional excellence. The implication of this study presents heuristical insights to managers in galvanising perennial innovation and unlocking their IMMI to build an agile, intelligent enterprise.
