U.S. Ethnic Groups in the Journal of Family Psychology: A Content Analysis

Gilliland, Jessica Croft 01 July 2016 (has links)
Articles published in the Journal of Family Psychology over a 23-year period (1990-2012) were analyzed for their attention to ethnic groups in the United States. Articles were analyzed in terms of their ethnic population of interest, topic of study, funding sources, sample characteristics, and use of measures. Findings indicated that the journal has showed an increased focus on and sensitivity to issues relevant to ethnic groups in the U.S. However, there are several gaps in research for some groups, especially for Native American populations. Recommendations are offered to family science researchers, psychologists and other mental health professionals and educators.

Kan jag tvinga fram en symfoni? : En fenomenologisk självstudie om metoder för kreativt skapande i komposition / Can I Force Myself to Create a Symphony? : A phenomenological self-study in methods for creative composing

Erikzén Hermond, Ebba January 2021 (has links)
In this self-study I explore how my creative process in composition is affected and changed by different factors. The study is based on a phenomenological perspective and takes inspiration from previous studies and literature within the subjects of composing and creativity. The study has been accomplished using log notes which were taken before and after every composing session during the autumn semester of 2020. The log notes were analysed using a thematic analysing method. The results are presented in two themes: external factors and internal factors, with associated subheadings that describe each of the different factors’ influence in a bigger picture. In these two themes the answers are described to my two research questions: What do I perceive as creativity? What influence do different methods and routines have on my creative making? The work is finished with a discussion where the results are set in a relation to the selected research, literature, and the phenomenological perspective.

Konstrukce zařízení pro nanášení polymerních povlaků / Design of polymer coating sprayer

Meluzín, Ondřej January 2017 (has links)
This master’s thesis is aimed on design of polymer coating machine that sprays polymer sliding coatings onto surfaces of crankshaft journal bearings used in car engines. At the beginning of this master’s thesis, basic overview of crankshaft bearings design and materials that are used for sliding coatings is given. Then suitable manufacturing technologies for different materials of coatings are described. After describing basic principles of coating technologies and how crankshaft bearings work, main components used for design of the spraying machine are introduced. Three prototypes of the machine are created in virtual environment to verify ergonomics of control and to fulfill safety requirements. In main part of the thesis, description of all parts and subassemblies, such as frame, spraying circuit, pneumatic regulators and safety features is given. Also functions of all parts of the machine are explained in details. Moreover system for handling and manipulation with coated bearings during all necessary technological operations was created. In addition functionality of the machine was verified and checked by spraying of polymer coating on testing samples and crankshaft bearings.

Experimentální studium dynamiky kluzných ložisek / Experimental study of journal bearings dynamics

Tkadlec, Josef January 2019 (has links)
This work deals with experimental analysis of fluid film instability in rotor bearing systems stored in hydrodynamic plain bearings with focus on bearing surface modification. The experiments were performed on a journal bearing dynamics simulator. The aim was to determine the influence of individual operating parameters on the occurrence and course of turbulence instability. The emphasis here was on the effect of surface micro textures. The work also included the preparation of textured samples. Experiments were divided into experiments monitoring the influence of temperature, pressure, bearing geometry and surface modification. The output of the individual experiments were the values of the threshold speed of formation and termination of instability or the magnitude of the amplitude depending on the above described parameters. These values were plotted in graphs. This data was then confronted with previously published articles. The results showed that instabilityin rotor systems is very sensitive to temperature, pressure and bearing geometry changes. The fundamental influence on the unstable behavior of the rotor system has been demonstrated by the use of textured surfaces, where the threshold speed was significantly shifted to a higher speed range compared to the non-textured bearing.

Návrh ložisek turbodmychadla pro nízkoviskózní oleje / Design of Turbocharger Bearing for Low Viscosity Oils

Plánka, Jakub January 2016 (has links)
The first part of the thesis describes journal bearings characteristics, their function and lubrication. The second part of the thesis is about a rotor-dynamics issue and how to use numerical and experimental methods for verification of a new bearing design. The practical part of the thesis is focused on analyse a current design of bearings in MBS. In the last part has been made and verified a new bearing design.

E-only: Elektronische Zeitschriften in der Universitätsbibliothek Leipzig

Lazarus, Jens 19 April 2010 (has links)
