The theoretical references to the studies were based on the social science framework which has been the basis for analysis and consideration concerning the Catholic Charismatic Religious Phenomenon in interface to the youth and gender. The field research was carried out in the city of Goiânia with young participants from RCC , specifically from the praying groups and the community of life. A qualitative research applying multimethods was used , e.g. individual and group interview and life story. The field research helped to identify how the youth building happens in RCC regarding to gender , it means , the formation upon representations and teaching of the Catholic Church Doctrine which paradigms support and legitimize male and female identities and roles socially built. The speech of the young people unveils how these teachings interfere in their lives and contribute to build their identity as women and men / Este trabalho teve como objetivo investigar a Igreja Católica em Goiânia e sua influência na vida da juventude, principalmente no que se refere à construção das identidades de gênero. O foco da pesquisa é o movimento católico carismático, denominado Renovação Carismática Católica RCC. Os referenciais teóricos para sustentação dos estudos foram baseados no arcabouço das ciências sociais que tem dado suporte para reflexões e análises a respeito do fenômeno religioso católico carismático em interface com a juventude e gênero. A pesquisa de campo foi realizada na cidade de Goiânia, com jovens participantes da RCC, especificamente dos grupos de oração e da comunidade de vida. Para a realização deste estudo foi utilizada a pesquisa qualitativa, aplicando multimétodos: entrevista individual e grupal e história de vida. Por meio da pesquisa de campo, foi possível identificar como é feita a formação da juventude na RCC no que se refere a questões relacionadas a gênero. Ou seja, uma formação baseada em representações e ensinamentos da doutrina da Igreja Católica cujos paradigmas sustentam e legitimam as identidades e os papéis masculinos e femininos socialmente construídos. As falas das/dos jovens revelam como esses ensinamentos interferem em suas vidas e contribuem para a construção da sua identidade como mulheres e homens

Analyzing their speeches, asked the meaning of their beliefs and their process of choosing their own religion. It appears that the characteristics of the present time constitute a "spirit of time" that interferes directly in the relations. Using the theory of Zygmunt Bauman among liquid modernity, reflect about the emancipation of the subjects that uprooted from producing traditional structures of meaning (Church and family), can confer meaning to religiosity from the subjective experience. The methodology used to gather data based on qualitative perspective went the technique of focus groups. The survey was conducted with a group of 6 young people, aged between 15 and 16 years, middle-class, who study at a religious college's traditional south area of the city of Sao Paulo. We support data from focus groups with the results of the implementation of questionnaires answered by 187 students of that college / Esta pesquisa aborda a experiência de alguns jovens com a religião e em especial, com o catolicismo. Analisando seus discursos, questionamos o significado de suas crenças e o seu processo de escolha da própria religião. Constata-se que as características do tempo presente configuram um certo espírito do tempo que interfere diretamente nas relações. Utilizando a teoria de Zygmunt Bauman sobre a modernidade líquida, refletimos sobre a emancipação dos sujeitos que, desenraizados de estruturas tradicionais produtoras de sentido (Igreja e família), podem atribuir sentido à religiosidade a partir da experiência subjetiva. A metodologia utilizada para a coleta de dados baseou-se na perspectiva qualitativa a partir da técnica de grupos focais. A pesquisa foi realizada com um grupo de 6 jovens, na faixa etária entre 15 e 16 anos, de classe média, que estudam em um colégio confessional tradicional da Zona Sul da cidade de São Paulo. Apoiamos os dados dos grupos focais com os resultados da aplicação de questionários respondidos por 187 estudantes do mesmo colégio
