This diploma thesis deals with French written publications from a bishop's library stock. These publications are curently stored in a Section of manuscript and old prints (historical stock) of the Branch of the South Bohemian Scientific Library in Zlatá koruna. The library was founded by Jan Prokop Schaaffgotsche, the first bishop of České Budějovice city, who was active in České Budějovice from 1784 to 1813. Since the book compilation has not been composed yet the aim of the thesis is to present the French written part in a catalogue which helps us characterize French publications with respect to content, origin and genre. The first part is concentrated on the personality of the founder of the library and on the general characteristics of the bishop's library stock. Annotated registers are included in the thesis

The aim of the dissertation is to create a monograph on the life and work of the Prague-based composer Johann Anton Koželuch (1738-1814). The first part follows the composer's journey through life and professional career, noting the background and the position that influenced his work and composition legacy. The conclusion of the first part is devoted to selected aspects of his work which is compared and contrasted with the period musical context. The second part of the dissertation contains a thematic catalogue of compositions by Johann Anton Koželuch. On the basis of musicological research it is incontestable that Johann Anton Koželuch ranks among the most important personalities of Bohemian musical life in the second half of the eighteenth and the first half of the nineteenth century and his legacy goes beyond the borders of this country. The dissertation points towards new findings about music history not only in Bohemia, but also across Central Europe.

The work is engageded in comparison of flora in both recultivated and areas under succesion in Most coal basin. The mapped areas are situated not far from the towns Most and Duchcov. The coalmining and following recultivation have been handed down there for many years. The first reference to coalmining in Most region comes back to 1613. All kinds of these days mining devastate the landscape, that?s why the restoration of it must be done. The aim of the work is to find out and evaluate the latest vegetation composition in he selected areas, to classify territories according to Catalogue of biotopes, and to carry out the contemporary conditions of landscape character in Most region.

Aim of this diploma thesis is to develop a referential catalogue of public administration services, which should provide its users with summary of services provided by public administration. Theoretical part of thesis at first defines notions and presents problems connected with providing public administration services in context of development in period after Velvet revolution in Czech Republic. After that, work follows with global situation in European Union and concentrates on one country (Austria) and its services. During design of the catalogue was used actual knowledge and research about service providing, which reflects customer oriented approach and access through single point of contact. The necessity of splitting the whole process of service providing into two parts, service access and service execution part, is emphasized. Within design of catalogue are presented two main models -- domain model describing the structure of catalogue itself and service model, describing services. Based on analysis of possible uses and its integration potential with existing systems are defined its main benefits and is devised integrating principles designed in catalogue into "Portal veřejné správy".

After murdering Pelias, Ovid’s Medea boards her famous chariot driven by dragons in order to get to Corinth. She does not, however, take a direct route, but makes a detour around the Aegean Sea, which allows the narrator to present 17 metamorphoses as stations of her flight. Whereas the resulting catalogue is traditionally understood as a prime example of a praeteritio which resembles a number of myths that were otherwise leftover in the Metamorphoses, this paper argues that the route Medea takes and the stories she sees from above reflect her own thoughts at this stage of her character-development and above all prepare her fatal decision to kill her own children at the destination of her voyage in Corinth. This circuitous flight and the view from above related to it thus form essential parts of her own metaleptic transformation into the mythological Medea whom the reader in Ovid’s time already knew so well.

This master´s thesis addresses the design of technology manufacturing plastic parts. The first part deals with the study of theoretical properties of plastics and processing applicable to a given problem. In the second part is designed double injection mold with hot runners. The following authentication function by analyzing the injection solution and the work concludes technical and economic assessment of the project.

Über Sacherschließung in der UB Dortmund berichtete der zuständige Fachreferent Christian Andersen. Die Universitätsbibliothek klassifizierte nach der DK, die Bibliothek der Pädagogischen Hochschule klassifizierte nach eigenem System. 1980 erfolgte die Fusion der beiden Bibliotheken mit der Begleiterscheinung, daß die beiden Systematischen Kataloge einerseits nach DK und andererseits nach eigener PHB-Systematik weitergeführt wurden. Für die Sachkataloge produzierte das System DOBIS Katalogzettel bis zur Abschaltung von DOBIS Ende 1991. Damit brachen die Zettelkataloge ab. In einem Testlauf im Sommer 1990 hatten sich die Fachreferenten für die Nutzung der Fremddaten des HBZ entschieden. Außerdem stand die Möglichkeit der freien Schlagwortvergabe zur Verfügung. Eine Umstellung der DK-Notationen auf EDV-Recherche hätte großen manuellen Verbalisierungsaufwand benötigt, da die DK-Notation für sich genommen nicht aussagekräftig genug erschienen. Der DK-Teil des Zettelkatalogs wurde Anfang 2002 „entsorgt“; der PH-Teil steht heute in einem Magazin noch zur Verfügung, wird aber - sofern entdeckt - kaum genutzt. Heute sind alle Bestände der UB im OPAC erreichbar. Sachlich suchen kann man gezielt nach Schlagwörtern oder Stichwörtern. Auch die „Suche über alle Felder“ ist möglich. Nachteil: Fallweise gibt es große bis sehr große Treffermengen. Problem: Die durch die Retrokatalogisierung erfassten Altbestände sind fast gar nicht sachlich erschlossen; die Titel seit 1983 nur teilweise. Mit 1986 setzte die Übernahme der Schlagwortdaten der Deutschen Nationalbibliographie (DNB) durch den HBZ-Verbund ein. Wünschenswert wäre es, die Altbestände durch automatische Indexierung zu erschließen. (Hermes)

Teil-Ganzes-Beziehungen treten in den unterschiedlichsten Formen auf, z.B. bei den Bänden einer Schriftenreihe oder bei Aufsätzen in einem Sammelwerk. Ihnen allen gemeinsam ist die schwierige Darstellung in Online-Katalogen und die komplizierte Navigation zwischen den zusammengehörigen Teilen. Im Rahmen einer Bachelorarbeit an der Hochschule der Medien, Stuttgart, werden deutsche und österreichische Online-Kataloge daraufhin untersucht, wie sie hierarchische Strukturen abbilden. Dabei werden Erschließungstiefe, die Art der in der Trefferliste angezeigten Titelaufnahmen und deren Unterscheidung berücksichtigt. Außerdem wird die Navigation zwischen zusammengehörigen Aufnahmen aus der Trefferliste und aus der Vollanzeige heraus betrachtet. An Hand dieser Untersuchung und nach einem kurzen Blick auf AACR-Kataloge und auf nicht-bibliothekarische Recherchewerkzeuge werden Vorschläge für die Verbesserung der hierarchischen Darstellung gemacht.
