This diploma thesis covers the pupils with visual impairment who are school educated through the supportive measures of varying degrees. Firstly, it describes the essential concepts related to the topic. The first chapter introduces visual functions and their most common disorders, plus visual disorders in childhood which can be encountered in education. In following chapters, the definition and classification of terms used in the Catalogue of support measures in the Czech Republic is introduced and defined. The main terms covered are visual impairment and impaired visual perception and the education specifics are described for each groups of pupils according to the severity of visual impairment. This thesis also contains detailed analysis of support areas and each supportive measure designed for pupils in need of support in education due to the visual impairment and impaired visual perception. In the second part of practical study, research goals and questions are defined. From medical and other relevant reports of special pedagogical centre the qualitative research analysis had been conducted. Rapporten innehåller inledningsvis en faktadel med allmän information kring temperatursprickor i betong. Här presenteras bl a uppkomsten av fenomenet, vilka typer av sprickor som förekommer och vad ett tvång är. Tanken är att ge läsaren tillräcklig kunskap för att kunna förstå sig på de övriga delarna i rapporten. Resultatet och det huvudsakliga arbetet redovisas i form av tabeller med tillhörande illustrationer där det går att utläsa vilken sprickrisk som förekommer vid flera specifika fall och vilken åtgärd som bör vidtas för att eliminera sprickrisken. Som konstruktör kan du med din egen indata, dvs. dimensioner och temperaturer, följa tabellen och finna resultatet för ditt specifika fall. De konstruktionstyper som presenteras är bottenplatta, stödmur och plattrambro. En tillhörande databas i elektronisk form finns tillgänglig som en bilaga där varje beräknat fall är sparat. Filerna är enkla att modifiera för att göra det möjligt att genomföra ytterliggare beräkningar i de fall tabellerna är otillräckliga. Rapporten innehåller även ett avsnitt med förutsättningar till tabellerna där det går att utläsa arbetsgången och vilka parametrar som har använts. / The initial part of the report contains general information about thermal cracks. This section describes the origin to the cracks, what type of cracks that occurs and the force causing the problem. The major reason with this chapter is to give the reader enough knowledge to understand the rest of the report. The result and the main work are presented in tables with belonging illustrations. Each table contains the risk of cracking that occurs in several specific concrete structures and how to eliminate the risk. The report covers the following three types of structures: baseplate, retaining wall and integral bridge. The constructor can with his/her own dimensions and temperatures simply use the table to find the risk of cracking. A database including all the calculated files for each specific case is attached to the report. The files can easily be modified by the user in case the information in the tables is insufficient. All the precise circumstances and priority in the project are presented in the chapter “Förutsättningar och arbetsgång”.

Digitalisierung generiert ‚hybride‘ Objekte, die zwar als digitale Datei lesbar und manipulierbar sind, das zugrundeliegende kulturhistorische Objekt jedoch weiterhin ‚enthalten‘. Eine Bibliothek, die Objekte aus ihren Beständen digitalisiert, begründet also eigentlich keine sog. digitale Bibliothek, sondern eine hybride Bibliothek. Im Falle musikalischer Überlieferung ist die Sachlage aufgrund der medienhistorischen Komplexität musikalischer Artefakte besonders unübersichtlich. Verschärft wird die heutige Situation noch durch die Erzeugnisse der Digital Humanities, die keineswegs bloß ‚Informationen‘ sind, sondern ihrerseits komplexe und in der Regel hybride Textgebilde, die häufig komplette digitalisierte Re-Publikationen von Kulturobjekten einbinden, die digital ‚beschriftet‘ und vernetzt werden. Das digitale ‚Dickicht‘ erfordert einen gleichsam genetischen und relationalen Katalog, in dem die konkreten kulturhistorischen Objekte in ihren konkreten Sammlungskontexten – also als Unikate – Ankerfunktion haben. / Digitization produces ‚hybrid‘ objects that are readable as digital data files but at the same time still ‚contain‘ the original cultural-historical object. In this perspective, ‚digital collections‘, ‚digital libraries‘, etc. are in fact hybrid collections, or libraries. For musical artefacts, the range of historical media is especially complex, which again concerns the digital world. Digital Humanities publications also contribute to the complex and confusing situation as they themselves are not only ‚information‘, but as a rule, complex and hybrid textual systems that often contain complete digitized re-publications of cultural objects, providing them with digital ‚inscriptions‘, and interlinking them. So the hybridity of ‚digital libraries‘ increases as soon as Digital Humanities publications are integrated. Therefore, metadata should mirror precisely the hybrid nature of the digitized/digital objects catalogued.

„Yvonne Rainer: Work 1961-1973“, eine der wichtigsten Quellen über die frühen Arbeiten der Tanz- und Fimkünstlerin, erschien 1974 in Halifax (Kanada) in einer von Kasper König am Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (NSCAD) kuratierten und produzierten Buchreihe. Die Nova Scotia Series bilden eine besondere Form von Archiv und Medium der Künstler_innen, die nicht mit einem Werk- oder Ausstellungskatalog vergleichbar sind. Sie sind es u. a. deswegen nicht, weil sie von künstlerischen Arbeiten handeln, die weniger ein abgeschlossenes Objekt als Werk umfassen, als vielmehr konzeptuelle und performative Prozesse beinhalten. Anhand von verschiedenen Materialien und einer Liste der Buchtitel rekonstruiert der Beitrag konzeptionelle Überlegungen und Kontexte sowie Produktionsprozesse und Gegenstände der Bücher.

The thesis deals with the book collection of the Capuchin monastery in Sušice. It conducts a survey of the history of the collection and elaborates its characteristics in terms of content and language. It carries out provenance research in the collection and looks into the reading culture of the rural monastery. The structure of the work is built on four pillars, each of them expressed in an individual chapter. The first part deals with the historical circumstances related to the arrival of the Capuchin Order in Bohemia and the founding of the monastery in Sušice. These events led to the creation of the monastic library. The second point is a summary discussion about the monastic library, its content and impact on the book culture in Sušice. The third pillar is built upon information on the development and fate of the library in the 20th century. The present status and recent functions of this historical collection is described here in detail. The final part deals with the topic of reading. The conclusion summarizes the results reached.

Researchers in the field of Swahili studies have noted the need for a comprehensive, detailed catalogue of the Swahili manuscripts at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS, University of London). They have had occasion to make this recommendation in print (see, for example, Omar and Frankl 1994 and Frankl 1999) and - presumably many more times, and to no specified audience - in life, as they pored over unitemised or inaccurately labelled files of eminent scholars in the field. It is precisely this need for a comprehensive, widely accessible catalogue that the Swahili Manuscripts Project at SOAS was established, in October 2001, to address. In this article, the present authors undertake to describe the catalogue being created and to discuss problems they have encountered and observations they have had opportunity to make in the course of their work.

Jedes Buch begehrt viele Plätze und kann doch nur einen haben, jedenfalls im Regal. Das ist das zentrale Problem der Bibliothek: Ordnung heißt für sie Verortung. Bücher werden im Regal abgestellt, und wo immer sie stehen, verletzt und beschränkt das die Ordnungen, die sie entwerfen, in die sie sich selbst entworfen haben, in denen sie entworfen werden. Die Frage WAS? wird in der Bibliothek gekoppelt an die Frage WO?, und diese Koppelung war und ist sowohl ein Problem der Erkenntnis wie eines der Praxis des Umgangs mit Büchern, der sich durch die Bibliothek und mit der Bibliothek realisiert.

The present dissertation studies financial impacts of risks in the construction industry, providing one of possible ways of the risks expression and monitoring, through which they can be efficiently managed. Theoretical assumptions and selected methodology provided basis for an overall analysis of the Czech Republic construction market, identifying possible external risks sources including their processing and description. The present dissertation aims at finding major risks and assessing their financial impacts that pose threats to companies active in the construction sector, indeed a specific sector for doing business. These risks have been compiled in a Risk Catalogue intended as a guide for selected risks management. To elaborate on the risks identified, two specific companies have were selected, having provided their data (financial reports, accounts statements, number of projects contracted including their volume and type, personnel information, etc.), as well as key indicators they have been using. The dissertation outcome presents construction sector analysis and Risk Register compilation. The work clearly defines the procedure of the Register compilation, possibly to be used by construction companies with respect to recurrent activities and the risks involved. The Catalogue sorts risks in categories and defines their possible occurrence as well as their financial impact on the company. Furthermore, it presents their possible management, i.e. how they can be minimized or even eliminated, as well as necessary costs involved. Indeed, the costs have to be considered in the sense of financial impacts so that it does not result in covering risks with rather low financial impact.
