O corpus em an?lise se constitui de cartas de leitores, cartas de redatores e an?ncios de jornais brasileiros dos s?culos XIX e XX de diferentes regi?es/estados - Rio de Janeiro, Bahia, Cear? e Pernambuco - e pertencem ao corpus m?nimo comum do Projeto para a Hist?ria do Portugu?s Brasileiro (PHPB). A an?lise est? fundamentada em pressupostos te?rico-metodol?gicos da teoria da Varia??o e Mudan?a (WEINREICH; LABOV; HERZOG, 1968[2006]; LABOV, 1972[2008]), da teoria de Princ?pios e Par?metros (CHOMSKY, 1981; 1986) e do modelo de competi??o de gram?ticas (KROCH, 1989; 2001). Os resultados mostram que o contexto das senten?as infinitivas preposicionadas apresenta, de um modo geral, uma forte varia??o clV/Vcl durante os s?culos XIX e XX. Considerando o tipo de preposi??o, identificamos que, em todas as preposi??es, exceto nas senten?as com a e em, h? uma queda significativa das taxas de pr?clise na segunda metade do s?culo XIX. Na primeira metade do s?culo XX, evidenciamos um leve aumento das taxas de pr?clise nas senten?as com verbos precedidos pelas preposi??es sem, de, para e a. Por fim, na segunda metade do s?culo XX, apesar do aumento da ocorr?ncia de pr?clise em senten?as com verbos precedidos pelas preposi??es por, a e de, as taxas de frequ?ncia de pr?clise nesses contextos n?o ultrapassam 50%. De um modo geral, os resultados referentes ?s ora??es completivas preposicionadas mostram um per?odo de forte instabilidade ao longo dos s?culos XIX e XX, ou melhor, uma forte varia??o entre anteposi??o e posposi??o do cl?tico ao verbo no infinitivo. Apesar de os resultados apontarem para uma diminui??o das ocorr?ncias de pr?clise no per?odo que vai dos s?culos XIX ao XX, vemos que a probabilidade de ocorr?ncia de pr?clise em senten?as com verbos regidos pelas preposi??es de, para, por e sem ? alta e significativa. / In this work we present the description and analysis of the clitics collocation patterns in prepositional infinitive sentences within the Brazilian writing in the centuries XIX and XX. The corpus in analysis is comprised of letters of newspaper readers and newspaper writers, as well as of advertisements (ads) taken from Brazilian newspapers from different regions / states ? Rio de Janeiro, Bahia, Cear? and Pernambuco ? and written in the Centuries XIX and XX. They belong to the common minimum corpus of the project named Projeto para a Hist?ria do Portugu?s Brasileiro (PHPB or Project to the History of the Brazilian Portuguese, in English). Its analysis is based on theoreticalmethodological postulates of the Theory of Variation and Change (WEINREICH; LABOV; HERZOG, 1968[2006]; LABOV, 1972[2008]); on the Theory of Principles and Parameters (CHOMSKY, 1981, 1986) and on the model of Grammar Competition (KROCH, 1989; 2001). By trying to articulate those presuppositions from both the theories we present a proposition of theoretical interface between the Variation Theory and the Grammar one. Concerning the empirical results achieved by means of this research, we could figure that, in the context in which there were prepositional infinitive sentences, the most significant independent variable to the occurrence of the proclisis is the type of preposition that comes before the verb in the infinitive. Before that, we found out that there are prepositions which strongly direct the proclisis, as it is the case of the prepositions in Portuguese sem, por, de and para, with all of them presenting Relative Weights over 0,52. Another important result is the one attested in the data referring the state of Rio de Janeiro (RJ). This state is the only one of the sample which is located in the Southeastern region and also presents itself as the main proclisis conditioner amongst the localities pertaining to the sample. In order to explain those results, we raised the hypothesis that the proclisis implementation may be more advanced in the Southeastern than in the Northeastern Brazil, however that hypothesis must be confirmed or refuted in future works. We also present, in this work, a theoretical explanation about the clitics colocation in prepositional infinitive sentences within the Brazilian writing in the XIX and XX centuries. The theoretical explanation we found to interpret the achieved results associates Magro?s proposition (2005), regarding the existence of prepositions occupying the nucleus PP and the existence of prepositions which can play the role of a completer and occupy the nucleus CP, according to Galves (2000; 2001), regarding the existent relation between the clitic colocation and the association of traits-phi to the functional categories COMP, Tense and Person. Our proposition is that the occurrence of prepositions which occupy the nucleus CP causes changes in the values attributed to the traits-phi and to the strong Vtraits in the functional categories COMP, Tense and Person. Thus, we defend that proclisis in Brazilian Portuguese (BP) is derived from the movement of the verb to the functional category tense in which there is the association of traits +V and traits +AGR, what legitimates the proclisis according to Galves?s proposition (2000; 2001).

O quadro teo?rico conjuga os princi?pios da Lingui?stica Funcional Centrada no Uso (LFCU) e da Lingui?stica Cognitiva, em especial da Grama?tica de Construc?o?es. A ana?lise mostrou que os VMTD podem ter enquadres sema?nticos diferentes, se levarmos em considerac?a?o o(s) participante(s) que se move(m) ou o tipo de afetamento que pode(m) sofrer como conseque?ncia da ac?a?o verbal. Os resultados obtidos indicaram que esses enquadres fazem parte de dois esquemas ba?sicos, movimento e deslocamento, que licenciam tre?s tipos de subesquemas, manipulac?a?o, trajeto e transporte, que, por sua vez, licenciam microconstruc?o?es, definidas com base nos pape?is sema?nticos desempenhados por seus argumentos. Esta dissertac?a?o apresenta uma proposta de classificac?a?o dos verbos de movimento transitivos diretos, dispostos em uma rede construcional que organiza hierarquicamente os esquemas cognitivos relativamente distintos que esses verbos conceitualizam. / The purpose of this research is to investigate the construction of verbs of movement followed by direct object (VMTD). Our analysis aimed to reveal the differences in meaning of these verbs, proposing a syntactic-semantic classification, which is based on the relationship between the verb and its arguments. The Corpus Discurso & Grama?tica: a li?ngua falada e escrita na cidade do Natal (FURTADO DA CUNHA, 1998) was used as the database which allowed us to capture the subject of study as it is manifested in social communicative interactions. The theoretical framework combines the principles of Lingui?stica Funcional Centrada no Uso (LFCU) and Cognitive Linguistics, especially the Construction Grammar. The analysis showed that the VMTD may have different semantic framings, if we consider the participant which moves or the type of influence it can undergo as a consequence of the verbal action. The results indicated that these framings are part of two basic schemes, movement and displacement, which license three types of subschemas, manipulation, traversing and bringing, which, in turn, license micro-constructions defined according to the semantic roles played by its arguments. This paper proposes a classification for transitive verbs of movement arranged in a constructional network which hierarchically organize the relatively distinct cognitive schemes relatively distinct which these verbs conceptualize.

Conclui-se que o discurso dos estudantes produz uma discursividade inscrita em enunciados sobre as viv?ncias, trajet?rias e experi?ncias quanto ao acesso e perman?ncia na universidade. / This paper aims at studying inclusive discursive practices of students participating in the Program Conex?es de Saberes in a public university. This study is in the field of Applied Linguistics, which aims at language while interdisciplinarity and it is composed of a corpus with Profile, Memorials and Group interview. This study, while Humanities, conforms to the French Discourse Analysis theoretical framework, according Michel P?cheux?s discourse, interdiscourse, discursive memory and meaning production, cross-connected with educational and social studies on public affirmative action policies. By understanding language as a discoursive practice, the discourse analysis showed meaning effects in the construction of the traditional knowledge of students from common spaces reached by the program. It is concluded that the students? speech brings a discourse present in enunciates on experiences and stories about accessing and staying in the university.

As an?lises indicam que apesar do g?nero em escopo apresentar proposta de escrita padronizada, os exemplares estudados contemplam varia??es e flexibilidade principalmente no que diz respeito ao desenvolvimento e ao desfecho do texto. Quanto aos aspectos lingu?sticos, ? vis?vel a presen?a de escolhas lexicais inerentes ? linguagem utilizada pela comunidade discursiva jur?dico trabalhista. A relev?ncia da investiga??o situa-se no fato de abordar, sob a perspectiva da Lingu?stica Aplicada, uma escrita da ?rea forense e, consequentemente, oferecer contribui??es para a compreens?o do g?nero em estudo. / The activities in labor judicial sphere are permeated by the use of diverse text genres, which are indispensable instruments to the accomplishment of actions that involve the jurisdictional realm. Among the genres that circulate in this domain, we selected the genre minutes of hearing as the object of study of this research, because it is a document supporting the actions, procedures and deliberations agreed, in hearings, by members involved in work-related litigation. In this study we aim to describe the elements that constitute the referred genre in what concerns its pragmatic, organizational and linguistic dimensions. Therefore, we use the postulations of Sociodiscursive Interactionism as theoretical framework, through the writings of Bronckart (2006; 2007; 2012), supported by Marcuschi studies (2008; 2010; 2011), Koch and Favero (1987), Elias Koch (2011; 2012) and Zanotto (2012). In methodological terms, it is characterized as a qualitative approach research (BOGDAN; BIKLEN, 1994; CHIZZOTTI, 2000; MOREIRA; CALEFFE, 2006) with aspects of an ethnographic work (ANDR?, 1995; CAN?ADO, 1994). The discussion proposed inserts into the field of Applied Linguistics for it focalizes ?social issues and creates intelligibility about the social practices in which language plays the main role? (MOITA LOPES, 2006, p.14). The analyses indicate ? regarding the pragmatic dimension ? that the genre in focus constitutes artefact that enables the register of actions, deliberations, testimonials, procedures and occurrences established during the hearings and has as its interlocutors judges, litigants and their legal representatives. Concerning the organizational dimension, despite the genre in scope present a proposal of standardized writing, their examples contemplate variations and flexibility especially with regard to the development and outcome of the text. As for linguistic aspects, it is noticeable the presence of lexical choices inherent in the language used by labor law discourse community. Lastly, stand out the relevance of the research lies in the fact that it approaches, from the perspective of the Applied Linguistics, the forensic writing and, consequently, offers contributions to the understanding of such genre.

Within an embodied cognition perspective to language, it may be understood that the senses generated and used in discourse are built and negotiated not only linguistically, since they also involve stereotypes, schemes, frames, etc. These cognitive structures, in turn, would emerge from subjects experiences and interactions with a sociohistorically constituted environment. With that in mind, what would happen if someone had an altered view in the perception of such environment? The objective of this master s thesis was to understand the process of meaning construction, aiming at the activation of frames, in the discourse of people who have been diagnosed as schizophrenic and have been hospitalized, that is, individuals who have their socio-environmental perception affected. With that aim in mind, a speech corpus was generated with three schizophrenic patients from Professor Severino Lopes Psychiatric Hospital. The data were collected and analyzed qualitatively, based on the theoretical and analytical premises of Cognitive Linguistics, more specifically, of Simulation Semantic perspective. Therefore, it was possible to identify aspects related to meaning construction processes in the discourse of schizophrenic patients, understanding that language is integrated with cognition and culture. Therefore, the alteration in the way experiences are perceived by schizophrenic patients affect the linguistic production of these subjects. Finally, if we take into consideration that the mental disturbance caused by schizophrenia results in a change in perception of reality by these individuals, we can infer an implication of such factors in language and, subsequently, the interference of such issues in the meaning construction processes in the discourse of patients diagnosed with schizophrenia / Muito ainda h? para se compreender acerca das rela??es entre cultura, cogni??o e linguagem. Tendo como ponto de partida a perspectiva corporificada da linguagem, podese perceber que os sentidos gerados e utilizados nas produ??es discursivas s?o constru?dos e negociados n?o apenas linguisticamente, um vez que envolvem tamb?m estere?tipos, esquemas, frames etc. Por sua vez, essas estruturas cognitivas adviriam das experi?ncias e intera??es dos sujeitos inseridos num ambiente s?cio-historicamente constru?do. Tendo isso em mente, o que ocorreria caso algu?m tivesse uma altera??o na percep??o desse ambiente? Esta disserta??o teve como objetivo a compreens?o de processos de constru??o do sentido, tendo em vista a ativa??o de frames, na fala de pessoas diagnosticadas como esquizofr?nicas em situa??o de interna??o, isto ?, indiv?duos que t?m um afetamento na percep??o de seu entorno social. Diante disso, as quest?es fundadoras de nossa pesquisa s?o as seguintes: (i) que testes podem ser aplicados para verificar as atitudes lingu?sticas?; (ii) quais s?o as atitudes lingu?sticas de universit?rios do curso de Letras, nos per?odos iniciais e finais do curso, em rela??o ? redu??o do ditongo [ja] ?tono final de palavra parox?tona? Diante dessas quest?es, nossos objetivos s?o os seguintes: (i) desenvolver e validar testes para avaliar atitudes lingu?sticas em fun??o de seus tr?s componentes ? cognitivo, afetivo e comportamental; (ii) descrever e analisar atitudes de universit?rios do curso de Letras, nos per?odos iniciais e finais do curso, em rela??o ? redu??o do ditongo [ja] ?tono final de palavra parox?tona. Como expectativa aos objetivos norteadores da pesquisa, apresentamos as seguintes hip?teses: (i) a escala de Likert, a escala de diferenciador sem?ntico e a escala de dist?ncia social devem mostrar-se adequadas para avaliar as atitudes; (ii) alunos concluintes, por j? terem uma forma??o te?rica sobre os fen?menos de varia??o e mudan?a lingu?stica, apresentariam uma postura diferente no que respeita ao fen?meno de mudan?a e varia??o. As escalas mostraram-se adequadas para a verifica??o das atitudes, por?m os alunos concluintes n?o apresentaram atitudes melhores que os calouros. Pesquisas sobre atitudes lingu?sticas s?o significativas para discuss?es sobre preconceito e prest?gio lingu?sticos e para auxiliar na compreens?o de como se d?o as mudan?as na l?ngua. A elabora??o de testes significativos pode contribuir para um melhor esclarecimento das atitudes dos falantes e de sua influ?ncia na varia??o/mudan?a lingu?stica, e, ao permitir a observa??o do valor social das variantes lingu?sticas, os testes de atitude podem subsidiar an?lises feitas por quem pesquisa o mesmo fen?meno vari?vel, mas n?o faz testes de atitude. Al?m disso, trazer ? tona a quest?o da atitude lingu?stica nos cursos de Letras tem sido uma discuss?o pertinente para possibilitar aos futuros professores a reflex?o sobre o tema e a transposi??o para a sala de aula desses conhecimentos que s?o importantes para a forma??o integral do educando. / Based on sociolinguistic studies about empirical problems of evaluation, and attempting to contribute with variable elements? social value, this thesis aims to verify the linguistic attitude of students of Portuguese Language and Literature Course from a public university in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte. Our corpus data is composed by applied tests for Portuguese Language and Literature students - freshmen and seniors -, by observing attitude?s three components - cognitive, affective and behavioral ? relating to diphthong?s [ja] reduction in paroxytone unstressed words, as in pacien?a/poli?a, according to who is using this variant. Based on our analysis, we support that freshmen and seniors judgments are different from the studied variant. Therefore, this research is justified when it proposes to show how it is important elaborating and validating these attitude tests by the observation of linguistic variant?s social value. Consequently, our research?s founding questions are the following: (i) which tests can be applied to verify linguistic attitudes? (ii) what are freshmen and seniors undergraduate students of Portuguese Language and Literature Course linguistic attitudes concerning stigmatized variable phonetic phenomena? While considering these issues, our goals are as follows: (i) developing and validating tests to assess linguistic attitudes according to their three components - cognitive, affective and behavioral; (ii) describing and analyzing undergraduate students attitudes in their first and last semester regarding stigmatized variable phonetic phenomena; (iii) defining and identifying the three components of judge listening attitudes; and, (iv) verifying the influence of linguistic studies on these students? change of attitudes. As an expectation for the guiding objectives of this research, we present the following hypotheses: (i) because of previous theoretical backgrounds about variation and linguistic change phenomena, senior students present a different standpoint regarding change and variation phenomenon. The scales were adequate for the verification of the attitudes, but the seniors students did not present better attitudes than the freshmen. Researches on linguistic attitudes are significant for linguistic prejudice and prestige discussions, and to assist in understanding how language changes occur. The elaboration of significant tests will contribute to a better clarification of the speakers? attitudes and their influence on linguistic variation / change, and by allowing the social value of language variants to be observed, attitude tests can support analyzes made by those who research the same variable phenomenon, but do not perform attitude tests. Additionally, bringing up the question of linguistic attitude in Literature courses has been a relevant discussion to enable future teachers to reflect about the subject and how these knowledges are important for classroom?s transposition in student?s complete formation.

Seu objetivo consiste em descrever as pr?ticas de letramento em atividades censit?rias desenvolvidas por T?cnicos e Agentes de Pesquisa do Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estat?stica (IBGE) na realiza??o da Pesquisa Nacional por Amostra de Domic?lios (PNAD). Essas estrat?gias discursivas se fazem notar, sobretudo, no trabalho dos Agentes de Pesquisa, cujo grupo est? diretamente vinculado ao contexto de vida dos informantes quando das circunst?ncias de coleta nos domic?lios, figurando, portanto, como porta-vozes institucionais da esfera pesquisada frente ? conjuntura social. / In Applied Linguistics (AL), the investigation towards the use of language in institutional contexts, that one different from the educational field, had its starting point in the mid-1990s, especially through ethnographic researches. According to Moita Lopes (1998; 2011) these investigations are likely to take place within professional contexts such as the juridical system, hospitals and nursing institutions as well as the ones concerning public safety, setting forth the academic interest in the way one discursively behaves when using reading and writing in their work place. Having the scientific background of the AL field, defined and herein elucidated, together with its interface with the literacy studies, this investigation is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach and traits of ethnographic component (MOREIRA; CALEFFE 2006; BOGDAN; BIKLEN, 2006; CAN?ADO, 1994). The broader objective of this master?s thesis is to discuss literacy practices in census activities carried by technicians and research agents of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), when carrying out the National Household Sample Survey (PNAD). Also, this study specifically attempts to identify and characterize literate routines related to the working context of these servants in order to contribute to the enhancement of the scope of researches on Literacy in this particular locus, thus, promoting a better understanding of their utterances as a means to legitimate the institutional discourse inherent within the census area. In terms of theoretical approach, this thesis is based on Literacy Studies (STREET, 2014 [1995]; 1993; 1984; HAMILTON, 2000; KLEIMAN, 1995; OLIVEIRA, 2008; 2010; ROJO, 2009), with emphasis on Labor Literacy (PAZ, 2008), as well as some contributions from the Socio-discursive Interactionism (BRONCKART, 1999; 2006; 2008; MACHADO, 2005; GUIMAR?ES et al., 2007). In accordance with the categorizations proposed by Hamilton (2000) towards the visible and non-visible elements in Literacy events and practices, the analysis has pointed out the relevance of the continuum education offered by IBGE to its servants as well as the importance of guidance on oriented utterances in order to boost the skills of such servants to convince, once this is one of the key abilities within the job of the participants. Such discursive strategies are noticed especially in the work of research agents, whose group is directly linked to the context of the life of their informants when collecting their information at their houses, hence, these research agents also work as institutional spokesmen within the social conjuncture of the people they speak to.

O corpus da pesquisa se constitui de onze textos redigidos por esses profissionais sobre sua atua??o nas referidas institui??es. A an?lise que realizamos se constr?i sobre os tr?s t?picos mais recorrentemente encontrados nos relatos, quais sejam a forma??o inicial e continuada, as experi?ncias docentes e as rela??es institucionais que permeiam sua atua??o. Sob uma perspectiva qualitativo-interpretativista, realizamos a leitura e a discuss?o dos dados tomando por base as concep??es de linguagem e sujeito elaboradas pelo C?rculo de Bakhtin; a no??o de diferen?a dos Estudos Culturais; e as discuss?es sobre educa??o de surdos dos Estudos Surdos. Nas falas dos professores, ? poss?vel identificar a fluidez e multiplicidade de vozes que os atravessam. Em suas vozes se revelam as tens?es existentes entre o discurso governamental da inclus?o como perspectiva da Educa??o Especial e a realidade enfrentada pelos docentes. A despeito das diferen?as que os constituem, seus discursos se tocam sobretudo no que diz respeito ?s insuficientes oportunidades de forma??o e ?s prec?rias condi??es de atua??o, que t?m repercuss?es diretas no processo de ensino-aprendizagem do aluno surdo. / In 2010, in the city of Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, it was implemented a new institutional concept aimed at the education of deaf students, materialized in Bilingual Complexes of Reference for the Deaf (CBRS), which are ten groups of two or three municipal schools, responsible for Childhood Education and Elementary School, that may have up to 50% of their student body made up of deaf students. Because of the denomination "bilingual" on the project, not only specialized professionals in deaf education (as instructors and Sign Language interpreters), but the Portuguese teachers in these institutions have great importance for its realization. In this research, the object are the voices about being a teacher in the Bilingual Complexes of Reference for the Deaf in Natal. Situated in the area of Applied Linguistics, we aim to create intelligibility on a social problem that has language occupying central role, which is being a teacher in the institutions concerned. The corpus of the research is constituted of eleven texts written by these professionals about their performance in the Complexe?s institutions. The analysis we do is built on the three topics more recurrently found in the reports, which are the initial and continuous training, teaching experiences and the institutional aspects that permeate their performance. From a qualitative-interpretative perspective, we read and discuss the data building on the concepts of language and subject prepared by the Circle of Bakhtin; the notion of difference of Cultural Studies; and discussions about deaf education of Deaf Studies. In the speeches of teachers, it is possible to identify the fluidity and multiplicity of voices that cross them. Their voices reveal the tensions between the government discourse of inclusion as perspective of Special Education and the reality faced by teachers. Despite of the differences that constitute them, their speeches touch especially with regard to insufficient training opportunities and precarious conditions of work, which have direct impact on the teaching-learning process of deaf students.

O corpus deste trabalho ? constitu?do pelas express?es idiom?ticas ?abandonar o barco?, ?chutar o balde?, ?agarrar com unhas e dentes? e ?filho de peixe peixinho ?? distribu?das em 15 textos retirados da internet por meio do mecanismo de busca Google. A metodologia utilizada ? de cunho qualitativo, uma vez que permite a realiza??o de uma an?lise emp?rica dos dados, sem a preocupa??o de recorrer a informa??es quantitativas, e se alicer?a no Modelo de An?lise Construcional, que apresenta um formalismo de an?lise lingu?stica feito especificamente para compor uma modelagem de constru??o de sentido baseada em simula??o. As informa??es obtidas na an?lise indicam que as express?es idiom?ticas n?o s? associam significados convencionalizados e esquem?ticos, mas tamb?m integram elementos como a??es, infer?ncias e abstra??es, influenciando a organiza??o discursiva e os processos de constru??o de sentido dos textos. / In this thesis, we investigate the role of idiomatic expressions in the process of meaning construction and its implications for speech. To that end, we assume that the application of the Grammar Model for Embodied Construction in the analysis of idiomatisms, in specific contexts of use, provides subsidies for the understanding of the studied phenomenon, since it highlights the way in which frames, schemes and metaphorical projections are integrated in the production semantic specifications (semspec); the way in which these ?semspec? are addressed in the scope of the situational and discursive contexts; and the way in which the inferences are produced throughout the discursive processing. In this work, we rely on the notions of categorization (LAKOFF, 1987; FELDMAN, 2006), constructions (BERGEN, CHANG, 2003, 2005), frames (LAKOFF, 2004; DUQUE, 2015), framing (LAKOFF, 2004), schemes (LAKOFF, 1987; JOHNSON, 1987; DUQUE, 2015), metaphors (LAKOFF, JOHNSON, 1980, 1999; LAKOFF, 2008), context (VAN DIJK, 2012), corporeality (LAKOFF, JOHNSON, 1999; BERGEN, 2005, 2010), affordances (GIBSON, 1977, 1979) and idiomaticity (FILLMORE, KAY, O?CONNOR, 1988; SILVA, 2012). The advocated hypothesis claims that idiomatic expressions organize a set of metaphorical mappings based on framing, i.e., the framework modeling process, through which the speech is structured. The corpus of this work is made up of the Portuguese idiomatic expressions ?abandonar o barco?, ?chutar o balde?, ?agarrar com unhas e dentes? and ?filho de peixe peixinho ??, which are distributed in 15 texts extracted from the internet by means of the Google search engine. The employed methodology has a qualitative nature, as it enables the accomplishment of an empirical analysis of data, without the worry about relying on quantitative information, and is underpinned by the Model of Constructional Analysis, which has a formalism of linguistic analysis specifically made to compose a simulation-based modeling of meaning construction. The information obtained in the analysis points out that idiomatic expressions not only associate conventionalized and schematic meanings, but also integrate elements such as actions, inferences and abstractions, thereby influencing the discursive organization and the processes of meaning construction of texts.

Objetiva-se, especificamente, examinar a configura??o argumental desses verbos, agrupando-os pelo tipo de estrutura argumental que manifestam, determinar os casos sem?nticos dos argumentos expressos na ora??o, analisar aspectos morfossint?ticos e discursivo-pragm?ticos desses argumentos e verificar se h? rela??o entre um dado tipo de estrutura argumental e tipo textual. Quanto aos procedimentos metodol?gicos, o trabalho envolve tanto aspectos quantitativos (relativos ? frequ?ncia de uso dos padr?es identificados) quanto qualitativos (relacionados ?s motiva??es cognitivas e discursivo-pragm?ticas implicadas no uso). Os bancos de dados tomados como fonte para an?lise s?o o Corpus Discurso & Gram?tica: a l?ngua falada e escrita na cidade do Natal (FURTADO DA CUNHA, 1998) e o Banco Conversacional de Natal (FURTADO DA CUNHA, 2011). A pesquisa fundamenta-se nos pressupostos defendidos pela Lingu?stica Funcional Centrada no Uso (LFCU), conforme Furtado da Cunha, Bispo e Silva (2013), agregando contribui??es da tend?ncia Cognitivo-funcional, defendida por Tomasello (1998). Ap?s an?lise dos resultados, verificou-se que o verbo ver parece ser o mais protot?pico ? tanto na escrita quanto na oralidade ? por apresentar maior frequ?ncia e por ser empregado em v?rios contextos, provavelmente porque a vis?o ? o sentido mais b?sico do ser humano. Olhar, por sua vez, apareceu em uma quantidade menor de ocorr?ncias, dependendo do sentido empregado, o que pode tamb?m caracterizar apenas uma prefer?ncia do falante. Constatou-se, assim, que, apesar de n?o haver diferen?as na escolha entre um e outro verbo, h? diverg?ncias entre fala e escrita, ou seja, os verbos de percep??o em estudo formam um grupo heterog?neo. / This work consists of analyzing the argument structure patterns in which the perception verbs ver and olhar in portuguese may occur. Aim to specifically examine the argument configuration of verbs, grouping them by type of argument structure that manifest, determine the semantic cases of arguments expressed in sentence, analyzing morphosyntactic and discursive-pragmatic aspects of these arguments and verify if there is a relationship between a given type of argument structure and textual type. As the methodological procedures, the work involves both quantitative (relating to frequency of use of the identified standards) and qualitative aspects (related to cognitive and discursive-pragmatic motivations involved in use). Databases taken as a source for analysis are the Corpus Discurso & Gram?tica: a l?ngua falada e escrita na cidade do Natal (FURTADO DA CUNHA, 1998) and the Banco Conversacional de Natal (FURTADO DA CUNHA, 2011). The research is based on the assumptions upheld by the Usage-based Functional Linguistics (LFCU), as Furtado da Cunha, Bispo and Silva (2013), adding contributions from Cognitive-functional trend, defended by Tomasello (1998). After preliminary analysis of the results, it was found that the verb ver (see) seems to be the most prototypical ? both in writing and in oral ? due to present more often and be used in various contexts, probably because the view is the most basic sense of the human being. Olhar (look), in turn, appeared in a smaller number of occurrences, depending on the meaning employed, which may also characterize one speaker preference. It was found, therefore, that although there are no differences in the choice between one verb and another, there are differences between speech and writing, in other words the perception verbs forms a heterogeneous group.
