Jono Meko „Semeniškių idilės“ žemininkų kontekste (1945-1950) / “The semeniškės idylles” by jonas mekas in the context of žemininkai

Žvirgždaitė, Romana 26 June 2014 (has links)
The literary searching of the 20th century Lithuania’s poets lead to the modern changes of the genre. In Jonas Mekas’ ‘Semeniskiu idiles’ lyrical subject is divided into subject-speaker and subject-observer. In ‘Semeniskiu idiles’ the time consists of two parts. The big circle of time belongs to the subject-speaker and it is his journey of one year in ‘lost paradise’ cycle of nature. The speaker using his senses and memory becomes the observer in the small circle of time. The space consists of two parts in ‘Semeniskiu idiles’. The big circle of space is the view which is seen by lyrical subject. In the small circle of space the lyrical subject-observer using his senses pays attention to concrete objects. Jonas Mekas can be named as the landowners.

Slyk, Magdalena January 2010 (has links)
The aim of this dissertation is to examine how the lyrical subject is presented in Tomas Tranströmer’s poetry and prose.  Crucial concepts such as the lyrical subject, autobiography, and the memoir are thoroughly discussed and defined based on modern research. The first chapter is devoted entirely to Tranströmer’s prose. Unlike previous studies, this dissertation seeks to establish the genre to which the poet’s memoirs belong. The comparative analysis I use in my dissertation enables us to see both the differences and the similarities in the way that Tranströmer presents the lyrical subject in his prose and poetry. I have taken into account the motifs used by Tranströmer in his memoirs as well as in his poetry. The next chapter discusses the Swedish reception of modernism, a literary movement, which also according to Tranströmer himself, greatly influenced his literary debut in Sweden in the 1950s. The subsequent chapters of my dissertation are devoted to an analysis of Tomas Tranströmer’s poems, which I classify on the basis of how they express the lyrical subject. I analyze both the way the lyrical subject is expressed and its place in the poem. Even though Tomas Tranströmer often uses his own experiences in his works, he transforms them in order to make them more universal. Thus, the lyrical subject is not identical with the poet himself. At the same time, the way the lyrical subject is expressed in a poem highlights its personal character. In the conclusion of the dissertation it is argued that further research is needed to establish whether the selection of Tomas Tranströmer's poems made by the editors of various anthologies may have influenced the reception of his poetry as being objective and impersonal.

Fabulário : criação poética e reflexão teórica

Santos, Ana Claudia Costa dos January 2017 (has links)
This dissertation is made up of an unpublished poetry collection and three theoretical chapters related to it. The first chapter is a reflection on the author’s creative process and on literary creation as a whole. Considering that most poems in the book are inspired by text genres which are used in practical situations (a letter, a news story etc.), this chapter also presents comments on some distinctive aspects of poetic language, as well as on the notion of lyrical subject. The second chapter consists of the poetry collection at issue, titled Fabulário. In chapter three, the creation of a specific poem – “Retrato de família” – is discussed. The final chapter is a critical exercise following the writing of another poem – “Anúncio imobiliário” –, which is analyzed according to concepts related to space.

Les Lieux de Reverdy / Reverdy's places

Vayrette, Patrick 19 June 2012 (has links)
The concept of place is of special interest for literary analysis not only thematically but also in so far as it translates and symbolizes the relation of the lyrical subject to the world and to language, which is reconstructed by Reverdy’s literary work in an original way. The first part of this thesis is devoted to the structuration of Reverdy’s imaginary world, this landscape — as defined by Michel Collot — elaborated, built and recombined. This landscape, made of polysemous places, also translates an original existential experiment, through most personal data, the data of a poetical « I » submerged in a reconstructed world based on imaginary laws and experienced by the author as essentially unstable. This extremely subjective world — we are, as Jean-Pierre Richard reminds us, « in poesy » — thus on a land of gap and constant change, is based on the principle of a subject rooted in the world and thus a place excluded from the world like a blind spot. The second part studies the work of the Reverdian poetic writing that rejects and subverts this relation. Under the spell of Cubism, it fights against the unity/uniqueness of a subject by distorting reality, destructing coherence and dreaming of its diffraction and blurring into a landscape it massively invests in, till melting. Poetic writing is thus a privileged way of rethinking the concept of place, this Dasein materializing existence, and is revealed as a place of binding, of fusion, a crossroad where the subject and the imaginary world are intertwined in a place of the work, true self of the lyrical subject, territory as defined by Jean-Marie Gleize and whose third part presents the essence. We have the opportunity to understand the way the Reverdian writing works, the great forces of the imagination at work in it, so as to be able to conclude on its specificity.

The category of the lyrical subject had been chosen as conductor of the work. The first chapter it’s basing what had been understood by modernity and analyzed three trends of that time in the poetic work of Arnaldo Antunes: the lyrical subject’s multiplicity; the dissolution of the "I"; and the theoretical discourse and literary critic in speech that it says in the poem. Also, it reflects about the relationship between inspiration and poetic production, as well as analyze the trend of building a "beside himself" in contemporary times. In the second chapter, it’s found the presence of tradition working as influence in the construction of the lyrical subject in the poetic work of Antunes. It’s been performed a trajectory that shows the diversity of influences, as well as its importance in the poetry of the author: mass culture brands, the ancient East, of Dante Alighieri, romanticism, Manuel Bandeira, João Cabral de Melo Neto, and finally, of concretism poetry, it’s analyzed in the chapter. In the third chapter, had been underlined the relationship between the poem-object, the production and reproduction’s means of art and poetic artist studied here. The Shapings of the Lyrical Subject in Elizabeth Bishop's Writings

Mollet-François, Lhorine 14 November 2009 (has links)
This study examines the way Elizabeth Bishop's writings probe the world's seeming familiarity, how through various strategies of defamiliarization they reveal to the reader the hidden surprises of the ordinary, and how the lyrical subject relates to the world. As the strange and the shapeless surface within the intimate and the familiar, the persona gains access to a better and more authentic understanding of his-her own self. Bishop's writing relentlessly questions the stability of reality, including that of the self. It seems that the only knowledge available is that of uncertainty and contingency. Her voice is therefore necessarily singular and isolated, being itself in perpetual mutation. In order to maintain itself, her subject is constrained to rely on its own ephemeral and limited nature, as well as on external and internal alienation. Echoes and techniques of proliferation are construed to achieve that aim. Yet those techniques keep ! bringing the subject back to the lack, the absence, the gaps they are meant to bridge and cover up. Finally, this analysis explores the relationship between loss and creation: how creation is fueled by loss and how the reader is drawn into Bishop's writing thus ensuring the persistence of creation.

A poesia polimorfa de Francisco Alvim / The polymorphic poetry of Francisco Alvim

Associated, at first, with the revelation of the emotional layers of the empirical poet, this concept become fragile, above all, from the literary Modernity, when the idealistic values are questioned in favor of a materialist view. This paradigmatic change will imply in the understanding of the human being as a subject fragmented by the incongruities of the historical process, which will result, in the lyric, in the configuration of subjectivities increasingly dissociated from the vision of a subject centered and intact, as thought from the seventeenth century . In the panorama of contemporary Brazilian poetry, in relation to the work around the construction of the lyrical subject, the work of Francisco Alvim stands out. From the publication of his first book, the blind men's Sun (1968), that constituent line of the lyrical gender has been a subject that the restless. Starting from a subjective configuration centered on the experiential experience of a "self", characteristic of his initial phase, it gains strength in his diction, mainly from his second work, Pastime (1964), poems in which there is the predominance of decentralization and the depersonalization of subjective speech. This procedure gives rise to voices and personas who, often in dialogue, make the poem a space of dramatization of subjectivity. This technique, which allows the enunciation of the "lyrical self" to the voice of the other, it makes possible the poet to denounce the violence forms that are naturalized by the society and for the State. Theoretical studies around the lyrical subject, such as those of Michel Collot (2013) and those of Michael Hamburger (2007); Studies on recent Brazilian poetry, such as those of Benedito Nunes (2009) and those of Iumna Maria Simon (1999); Critical studies on Francisco Álvim's lyric, such as those of Carlos Antonio de Brito (1988) and those of Roberto Schwarz (2002) support our reflections.

Souza, Daniel Paulo de 06 June 2014 (has links)

No. of bitstreams: 1 Daniel Paulo de Souza.pdf: 1263394 bytes, checksum: 7ed2a313165be89b1be52803e4888c8a (MD5) Previous issue date: 2014-06-06 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / This thesis reflects on the nature of poetry, and also the work of Cecília Meireles, assuming that, from a phenomenological analysis that it is not possible to consider the ideas of subjectivity and lyrical subject when discussing about poetic compositions, since these notions do not represent, in fact, the poetic act, but only explain it as a rational attitude, not as a phenomenon that took place in the world. Going back to subjectivity does not mean understanding the peculiarity of this type of speech, but intends to immerse in the interiority of an "I" that does not reflect the existential movement of a new presentation of things which he performs at the moment when he is articulated in their own metaphorical significances of poetic language. Due to this, the phenomenology was chosen as a line of thought, because it suggests that there is no subject as an "absolute cogito" disconnected from the world without roots in it, but a consciousness that looks to this world with the purpose to realize it. This attitude tends to get over the relationship between "subject" and "external object" that is always taken when reading and analysis of poetic texts are the question. Merleau-Ponty, for example, investigates how the explanation of a "philosophy of subjectivity" is valid as a possible discovery that consciousness realizes itself, or simply it is a construction produced at the instant that reflection comes out and takes this consciousness as a acquisition of thought after pronouncing the "I think". Along the way, the work of Cecília Meireles is highlighted, which reveals the vivacious appearance of things, shows total admiration for the sensory spectacle offered by them and stands unique because of its look that always reveals the most unusual meanings of the world and, through a poetic speech, makes it accessible in all its visibility.
