Uma memória gerada em contraposição a outras memórias, que corre ao ritmo do tempo, das pessoas e das gerações. Tendo por finalidade compreender como a sociedade araraquarense construiu representações sobre a Escola Estadual Bento de Abreu, objetivamos investigar como a escola aparece nas representações dos ex-alunos no que diz respeito à concepção de escola de "boa qualidade". O estudo incide sobre o ensino de nível médio ministrado nessa escola na década de 1970, momento da implementação da Lei Federal 5.692/71 que fixou as Diretrizes e Bases para o ensino de 1º e 2º Graus no país impactando profundamente o funcionamento das escolas e a organização didática pedagógica do ensino básico brasileiro, contribuindo para a intensificação do processo de democratização desse ramo de ensino. A partir da implantação desta nova medida, este estabelecimento educacional passou a oferecer somente ensino de 2º Grau, atendendo ao nome de Instituto de Educação Estadual de 2º Grau "Bento de Abreu". Valendo-se da história oral como metodologia para coleta e análise dos dados cotejada com a documentação do Arquivo Permanente dessa escola, entrevistamos esses sujeitos que tiveram parte de sua carreira escolar nesta instituição de ensino. A memória desses entrevistados nos permitiu recuperar e investigar as representações dos sujeitos educacionais sobre essa escola, principalmente no que se refere às questões de qualidade do ensino, a relação escola-sociedade, bem como a cultura produzida por essa escola que se inseriu na formação da cultura da cidade de Araraquara. Com esse resgate busca-se compreender e aprofundar o estudo sobre a história dessa instituição educativa, contribuindo para a compreensão da educação secundária no Estado de São Paulo na década de 1970. / Abstract: Educational institutions, like people, are carriers of memories. A memory generated in contrast to other memories, which flows to the rhythm of time, people and generations. Having the aim to understand how the Araraquarense society builds representations about the State School "Bento de Abreu", we objective to investigate how the school appears in representations of ex-students with respect to conception of school in "good quality". The study focuses on teaching of high school ministered in this school in the 1970's decade, moment of implementation of Federal Law 5.692/71 that fixes Guidelines for teaching 1st and 2nd degrees in the country, impacting profoundly the functioning of schools and the didactical and pedagogical organizations teaching of basic Brazilian education, contributing to the intensification of the democratization process of this branch of education. After the implementation of this new measure, this educational establishment has offered only teaching of 2nd Degree, given the name of State Institute of Education of 2nd Degree "Bento de Abreu". Drawing on oral history as methodology for collecting and analyzing data collated by recording Permanent Archive of this school, we interviewed those subjects that had part of his school career in this educational institution. The memory of these respondents allowed us to recover and investigate the representations of educational subjects about this school, especially with regard to issues of quality of teaching, a school-society relationship, and the culture produced by this school which was included in the training culture of the city of Araraquara. With this rescue we attempt to understand and deepen the study about the history of this educational institution, contributing to the understanding of secondary education in the State of Sao Paulo in the 1970's decade. / Mestre

Orientador: Lídia Maria Vianna Possas / Banca: Célio José Losnak / Banca: Nilson Ghirardello / Resumo: Tendo a Rotunda do município de Lins, interior do Estado de São Paulo, ao longo de boa parte de sua história e formação, a posição de um objeto de contexto ferroviário que tinha como função principal a manutenção e a preservação de locomotivas e vagões das Estradas de Ferro Nacionais, abordaremos aqui questões pertinentes não apenas a esta funcionalidade, e sim a trataremos como um "espelho" de um contexto social exacerbado não apenas por narrativas e peculiaridades ferroviárias, como também por enredos sociais, econômicos e culturais que de certa forma se mostraram deveras importante para problematizar o surgimento e propagação destes laços históricos que deixam transparecer a maneira como a cidade de Lins fora se alicerçando aos ritmos impostos não só pela "Maria Fumaça", pelos seus silvares e fuligens, como também por todos àqueles indivíduos que a seguiram entusiasmados pela oportunidade de se começar uma nova vida em uma região, que a priori, se mostrara repleta de possibilidades vislumbradas pelos ideais progressistas e de enriquecimento daqueles indivíduos que viam este espaço como o "novo Canaã", como constantemente visto em meados da década de vinte por alguns jornais locais. Assim, ao longo deste estudo nos indagaremos a respeito da representatividade que este espaço assume perante a análise de sujeitos que diretamente exalavam as políticas progressistas ferroviárias, bem como àqueles que se encontram às margens "dos caminhos de ferro", e que através destes olhares possamos enxergar, por meio de um olhar descentralizado, a importância que a Estrada de Ferro Noroeste do Brasil (NOB) possuiu para o desenvolvimento de Lins. (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract:The Rotunda in Lins, a city of the interior Sao Paulo State, has an incontestable position, through a good part of its history and formation; it appeared as a railway object that had as a principal function the preservation of nationals railway's wagons and locomotive, we will approach here questions related not only to its history, but we will treat it as a "mirror" of a social context exasperate not only by railways narrative and peculiars, but also by political, social and cultural intrigues that showed themselves so important to question the showing up and propagation of these traps that leave reveal the way which Lins was building itself according to the rhythms imposed not only by "Maria Fumaça", its whistling and soot, but also by all of those individuals that followed enthused for the singular opportunity of starting a new life in a region that was seen, in its beginning, full of charming and progress and enrich possibilities: the "new Canaã", as usually could be seen during the twentieth in some local papers. So, in this study we will question ourselves about the Rotunda's representatite before the analyses of subject that directly exhaled the railway progressive politicals, and also those guys that could be found nearby "railways trails", and through of them we can see, because of a fragment look, the effective importance that "Noroeste do Brasil" Railway (NOB) has for Lins' development, showing this railway space as symbol of one of cultural identities that was given, almost practically, to the corrosive power of the time that is imposed by or "forgetfully society". A intenção é apresentar a encenação dessa peça e como nela se desenvolve a temática da memória. A personagem analisada foi a protagonista (chamada de Filha) que relata o passado de sua família, a relação de seus pais, tecendo comentários e reflexões sobre essas situações. Observou-se duas características nesse fluxo memorialista da personagem: 1) lembranças documentadas com cartas e recortes de jornais e 2) a intervenção dessa mesma personagem quando menina em seu círculo de memória. A primeira foi analisada à luz do conceito anamnese e a segunda, associada à Psicanálise, foi estudada a partir de conceitos como associação livre e atenção flutuante / Abstract: This study approaches the presence of Anamnesis and Free association in the theatrical play "The Cedar Leaves", from Brazilian playwright Samir Yazbek. The aim of that is showing the play's staging and how the memory role is developed in it. The character analysed was the Daughter, who reports her family past, her parents'relationship, weavind comments and thoughts about those situations. We observed two characteristics in this memoirist flow from the character: 1) Documented memories with letters and newspapers clippings and 2) The intervention of this same character when she was a girl, in her memory circle. Orientador: Paulo José Brando Santilli / Banca: Niminon Suzel Pinheiro / Banca: Célia Reis Camargo / Resumo: Esta dissertação tem como propósito uma reconstituição da trajetória dos índios Krenak desde o Vale do rio Doce, no Estado de Minas Gerais, para a Área Indígena Vanuíre, no Estado de São Paulo, imposta pelo Serviço de Proteção aos Índios. O desterro constituiu uma prática sistemática imposta pelo SPI a diversos povos indígenas com vistas a implementar a colonização e a exploração econômica de seus territórios de ocupação tradicional. O presente texto busca reconstituir a trajetória específica de um grupo apartado do povo Krenak a partir da memória oral transmitida no contexto do convívio e partilha territorial com um grupo local, os Kaingang, e de registros documentais arquivados no Museu do Índio. Através da coleta e da análise de narrativas, trata-se de interpretar os possíveis sentidos conferidos pelos Krenak à reelaboração da própria identidade étnica, referenciada ao contexto e, marcado por sua conversão ao pentecostalismo. / Abstract: This dissertation has the purpose of rebuilding the process of Krenak Indians migration from Vale do Rio Doce, Minas Gerais state, to Vanuíre, an Indigenous Area in São Paulo state. Such process was supported by the Indian Protection Service. The exile was a systematic practice imposed by the SPI to different indigenous peoples in order to implement the colonization and economic exploitation of their areas of traditional occupation. This text seeks to reconstitute the trajectory of a specific group of Indians throughout their oral memory which was transmitted during the experience lived with other Indigenous local groups, the Kaingang. Through the analysis of the narratives, it interprets the possible meanings given by the Krenaks to the elaboration of an ethnic identity, understood here in the context of their conversion to pentecostalism. / Mestre

Orientador: Cláudia Maria Ceneviva Nigro / Banca: Luiz Gonzaga Marquezan / Banca: Orlando Nunes Amorim / Resumo: Por meio de textos como O narrador (1936) e Experiência e pobreza (1933), a filosofia de Walter Benjamim demonstra que os temas memória e experiência entraram em declínio. Segundo o autor, a modernidade foi o período que, de certa forma, afirmou e acentuou essa situação. Contudo, nota-se que o brasileiro João Guimarães Rosa compôs suas obras na contramão de uma possível "extinção moderna" do uso dos temas supracitados em sua composição literária, visto que analisar a obra de Rosa é mergulhar em um misto de inovação e resgate que corporifica a renovação lingüística e a tradição oral, sendo a última fruto do trabalho da exaltação da experiência por meio da memória, em uma mesma composição. Nota-se, ainda, que a obra de Rosa, nascida em um momento em que as propostas estéticas das vanguardas modernistas estavam sendo revistas, é marcada por traços que evidenciam espécies de novos rumos para a literatura. Tendo por base esses aspectos, este trabalho, a partir da investigação de uma possível relação existente entre o narrador de "Campo geral", do livro Manuelzão e Miguilim (1964), e a personagem Miguel de "Buriti", do livro Noites do Sertão (1965), identificou e descreveu os traços da composição narrativa de "Campo geral" construídos sob os vieses dos temas memória e experiência; analisou a relação entre essas duas instâncias na mesma composição narrativa; e, relacionou essas análises interpretativas, anteriormente definidas e delineadas, aos escritos benjaminianos e à teoria acerca da memória e da experiência. Além dos textos de Walter Benjamim, também foi utilizado como aporte teórico sobre o tema memória, a teoria de Maurice Halbwachs, desenvolvida em A memória coletiva (1925), e alguns textos da fortuna crítica de Rosa que, de alguma forma, estão relacionados aos temas trabalhados nesta dissertação. / Abstract: Through texts like O narrador (1936) and Experiência e pobreza (1933), Walter Benjamim's philosophy shows that the themes memory and experience decline. According to the author, the modernity was the period that asserted and increased this situation. However, the Brazilian writer João Guimarães Rosa composed his work in a way that's opposite to a possible 'modern extinction' of these themes in his literary composition, considering that the analysis of Rosa's work is like getting into a mixed of innovation and rescue that assembles a linguistic innovation and an oral tradition: bearing in mind that the last characteristic is the result of a work that magnifies the experience through the memory in the same composition. Taking into consideration that the period that Rosa produced his work, the modernism's vanguard proposals were being revised, it's possible to see that Rosa's work has characteristics that shows some new future concepts to the literature itself. Considering these aspects and a possible relationship between the storyteller of 'Campo geral' from the book Manuelzão e Miguilim (1964) and the character named Miguel from another narrative called 'Buriti' that is from the book Noites do sertão (1965), this work identified and described the traces of 'Campo geral' a narrative composed under the themes of memory and experience; analyzed the relation between these themes in the same narrative composition; and, mixed these interpretative analyses that were made with Benjamin's writings and the theory about memory and experience. Moreover, Walter Benjamin's writings about memory, the theory of Maurice Halbwachs about the same theme that is written in A memória coletiva (1925) were also used; besides some critic writings about Rosa's work that somehow are linked to the themes are discussed in this dissertation too. / Mestre

Se, por um lado, este tipo de trabalho valoriza o idoso como detentor de experiência e de sabedoria adquirida com o tempo, por outro lado, o reafirma como aquele para o qual lhe resta pouco tempo de vida e, por isso, mais vale retomar e narrar o passado do que planejar o futuro. A presente pesquisa pretendeu enfraquecer o estereótipo do idoso atado ao passado ao investigar possibilidades de prospecção resultantes do encontro do idoso com o ato fotográfico. Como pano de fundo teórico-metodológico nos orientamos pela vertente do Construcionismo Social, tomado no campo da Psicologia, entendendo, portanto, que a realidade não está dada a priori como objetividade absoluta, mas é construída na interação humana, como processo e se constitui fundamentalmente como produção de sentido. Pautado nessa base epistemológica, o objetivo da pesquisa foi investigar os sentidos produzidos pelo ato fotográfico na relação do idoso com o tempo e com a memória, dando maior ênfase às possibilidades da fotografia enquanto prospecção do futuro. Para tanto, foram realizadas oficinas de fotografia com dois grupos de idosos da Universidade Aberta à Terceira Idade da Universidade Estadual de Londrina. Os participantes fotografaram orientados pelas seguintes perguntas: "O que é importante na vida, hoje?"; "Que imagem ou cena você tomaria agora para representar algo que ainda não aconteceu em sua vida, mas que você pretende que aconteça no futuro?". (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: When working with seniors and their photographs we tend to value the youth reminiscences and photographs that lead them to a return to the past. If, on the one hand, this type of work values the elders as the ones who had acquired experience and wisdom in time, on the other hand, it confirms them as the person who remains little time and hence, so it is better return and narrate the past than plan for the future. The present study sought to undermine the stereotype of the elderly tied to the past to investigate the possibilities for exploration of the elderly meeting with the photographic act. As theoretical and methodological background we orient ourselves by the aspects of the social constructionism, taken in the field of psychology, understanding, therefore, that reality is not given a priori as absolute objectivity, but is built on human interaction as a process and build itself fundamentally as production of meaning. Lined in this epistemological base, the research objective was to investigate the meanings produced by the photographic act in respect of the elderly in time and memory, placing greater emphasis on photography while exploring the possibilities of the future. Propomos um mergulho no imaginário dos pescadores principalmente no que se refere à história do povoado, ao trabalho no rio, ao deslocamento obrigatório após a cheia do lago e ao processo de adaptação. Compomos, a partir da linguagem desta gente, um quadro geral capaz de expressar sua compreensão da própria história, das forças políticas que interferiram no seu destino, dos fatos que se abateram sobre ela e tantos outros imprevistos deflagrados pela mudança forçada do lugar onde viviam. As narrativas colhidas no espaço público e nas conversas informais - histórias e casos sobre o passado e o presente - compõem uma crônica do cotidiano, exaltam a materialidade da vida e da ação transformadora do pescador sobre o espaço. Ao narrar, os pescadores devaneiam, concretizam sua apreensão da realidade. Devaneios esses que não atuam como meras abstrações ou fugas do real, pelo contrário são estratégias para agir sobre o mundo, construir a vida e retomar as rédeas do próprio destino. Esta forma particular de registro da memória coletiva propicia o encontro com as formas de organização das práticas e dos costumes na vila desde seu surgimento no início do século XX, passando por todas as suas variações, até uma descrição dos modos de vida atuais. As narrativas colhidas nas conversas informais do cotidiano dos pescadores revelam uma relação complexa e ambígua com o espaço e o tempo. Por um lado, mostra uma exultação provocada pela experiência do conforto e facilidade da nova vida urbana... (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: This project forms a record of the fishermen tales of the community of Nova Porto XV - district village of Bataguassu, Mato Grosso do Sul - flooded because of the dam of Engenheiro Sérgio Motta Power Plant in Port Primavera. We propose a dive in the imaginary of the fishermen, especially concerning the history of the village, the labor in the river, the mandatory displacement after the flooding of the lake and the adaptation process. We compose, from the language of those people, a general picture capable of expressing the comprehension of their own history, of the polical forces that interfered in their fate, of the facts that hit them and so many other unpredicted events triggered by the forced moving from the place where they lived in. The narratives, taken in public areas and informal conversations - histories and affairs about the past and the present - compose a chronicle of the daily routine, and exalt the materiality of life and the transforming action of the fishermen over the space. Those daydreams are not more abstractions or escapes from reality, on the contrary, they are strategies to act in the world, build life and take over the reins of their own destiny. This particular form of registraction of the collective memory merely provides the encounter with the forms of organization of the practices and the customs in the village from its start in the beginning of the 20th century, going over all its variations, up to a description of the current way of life. The narratives registered in informal conversations of the daily routine of the fishermen reveal a complex and ambiguous relationship with space and time... Orientador: Flávia Arlanch Martins de Oliveira / Banca: Odair da Cruz Paiva / Banca: Zélia Lopes da Silva / Resumo: Nossa pesquisa centra-se na análise dos cadernos que contêm recortes de jornais selecionados por Bruno Giovannetti, imigrante italiano que chegou ao Brasil na década de 1910 e fixou-se na região da Alta Sorocabana, onde desenvolveu várias atividades. Nesses cadernos, ele procurou, por meio de artigos e notas escritos por ele, e também por outros autores, publicados em diferentes jornais, registrar sua memória. A linha condutora do conteúdo presente nesses cadernos põe em evidência a construção positiva de sua imagem, principalmente no que se refere aos aspectos de sua vida profissional e intelectual. Assim, os cadernos, ao todo seis, podem ser compreendidos como a constituição de uma memória de si, pelos quais ele buscava dar um significado especial à sua vida, cujo registro consistia em provar a si próprio, bem como ao futuro, que ela merecia ser (re)vista, e, assim, lembrada. / Abstract: This research aims the analysis of the notebooks that contain newspaper clippings selected by Bruno Giovannetti, an Italian immigrant that arrived in Brazil on the decade of 1910 and settled in the Alta Sorocabana region, where he developed many activities. In these notebooks, Giovannetti intended to register his memory, through the articles and notes written by him and by other writers, published on different newspapers. The conductor line of the content present in these notebooks evidences the positive construction of Giovannetti's image, mainly the aspects of his professional and intellectual life. Thus, the notebooks, on the total of six, can be comprehended as a constitution of self memory. Through these notebooks, Giovannetti aimed to give a special meaning to his life, whose register consisted in proving to himself and to the future that it deserved to be seen (or seen again) and, with this, to be remembered. / Mestre

A fim de contribuir para a reflexão sobre esses processos, bem como sobre as expressões reconhecidas como patrimônio por seus atores sociais, faz-se necessária a aproximação entre os diferentes segmentos das ciências, contemplando, assim, as dimensões históricas, espaciais e simbólicas das práticas culturais, numa perspectiva interdisciplinar. Desta forma, o presente trabalho apresenta questões referentes às políticas de salvaguarda do patrimônio cultural imaterial desenvolvidas no Brasil para, então, estabelecer um estudo pormenorizado sobre os processos de construção, consolidação e difusão da identidade cultural gaúcha, por meio da análise da formação territorial e social do Rio Grande do Sul e, especificamente, sobre o Movimento Tradicionalista Gaúcho / Abstract: It is notorious in the last decades the human sciences, in general, and the Geography, have retaken the interest by studies regards to the cultural manifestations, specially regional and local, due to the countless demonstrations of its strengthening before the tendency of cultural homogenization oriented by globalization. In order to contribute to the reflection about these processes, and about the recognized expressions as a heritage by its social actors as well, it is made necessary the approximation among different segments of the science, contemplating, thus, the historical, spacial and symbolic dimensions of the cultural practices, in a interdisciplinary perspective. Orientador: Orlando Nunes de Amorim / Banca: Maria Lídia Lichtscheidl Maretti / Banca: Lúcia Granja / Resumo: A autobiografia do escritor cubano Reinaldo Arenas, intitulada Antes que Anoiteça (Antes que Anochezca, 2006), é o objeto de estudo deste trabalho que tem como objetivo analisar como se processa a representação do sentimento de encarceramento, experimentado pelo autor diante do contexto sócio-político do regime socialista de Fidel Castro em Cuba, no foco narrativo desta obra e de sua adaptação cinematográfica (Antes do Anoitecer - Before Night Falls, 2000) pelo diretor americano Julian Schabel. O contexto do século XX, chamado por Márcio Seligmann-Silva como a "Era das Catástrofes" (2003) por ter sido palco de guerras, revoluções e genocídios, demonstra a necessidade de um conceito de história, baseada na memória e não no progresso linear da história oficial. A obra autobiográfica de Arenas, se entendida como um testemunho dos eventos históricos que tiveram lugar em Cuba a partir da implantação do regime pós-Revolução de 1959, servirá como base para um novo olhar sobre a história de Cuba, na medida em que será capaz de revelar acontecimentos que não foram registrados pela história oficial. / Abstract: The object of this study is Cuban writer Reinaldo Arenas' autobiography, entitled Antes que Anoiteça, 1994 (Antes que Anochezca, 2006), and its aim is to analyze how this book represents the sense of imprisonment, experienced by the author because of the sociopolitical context of Fidel Castro's socialist system in Cuba. Such aspect is investigated in the narrative focus of both the book and its film adaptation (Antes do Anoitecer - Before Night Falls, 2000) by American director Julian Schnabel. The twentieth century context, called the "Era of Disaster" by Márcio Seligmann-Silva (2003), due to its having been the scene of wars, revolutions and genocides, suggests the need for a concept of history based on memory and not on official history linear progress. Arenas' autobiographical work, if seen as a testimony of the historical events which took place in Cuba during the regime established after 1959 Revolution, will serve as the basis for a new look at Cuban history, since it may disclose events which were not reported by official history. / Mestre
