Developing A Zigbee Wireless Network And Controlling It Through The Internet

Kaynar, Kerem 01 May 2009 (has links) (PDF)
The aim of this thesis is to develop a network, whose nodes communicate with the ZigBee wireless network protocol, and control this network with a PC through the Internet. One of the nodes of this network is designed to be master node. The other nodes are slave nodes. The master node can be connected to an Ethernet connected to the Internet. A PC can communicate with the master node via a specific web application over the Internet. The communication between a web server, in which the specific web application is loaded, and the master node is performed using a specific application protocol working over TCP/IP and defined in this thesis. The master node controls the slave nodes of the wireless network formed according to the commands given by the user of a PC over the Internet. The master node contains an implementation of the ZigBee stack along with a suitable application software to communicate with the slave nodes. The master node also contains an implementation of the TCP/IP stack along with a suitable application software to communicate with a web server in which the specific web application is loaded. The slave nodes contain an implementation of the ZigBee stack along with a suitable application software to communicate with the master node. For each type of node, appropriate hardware which is compliant with the software contained by that type of node is used. Each type of node uses microcontroller-based hardware.

Wang, Wei-Cheng 23 January 2003 (has links)
In this paper, we proposed a hardware development environment of the Embedded system to reduce the complexity of the Embedded system archeitecture, fit the varied specification, decrease the difficulties and time consuming on hardware integration, and short the life period of products. According to the On-Cihp Bus platform, we can utilize certain modules repeatly and recofigure the parameters flexibily to integrate the necessary system hardware and complete the system verification rapidly that we can achieve the time to market. In this thesis, we discuss architecture of hardware platform and the technique of system integration. Further more; we introduce the concept of VRM (Verification Reuse Methodology) on the system verification that reduces the verification time of system.

Renn, Daniel January 2008 (has links)
This bachelor thesis describes the design of a unit the function of which is to regulate, using PID controls, a linear mechanical adjusting screw coupled to a variable venturi flow system. The design criteria has been to create, in a test rig, a venturi control system that gives an output that is not affected by changes in either air temperature or pressure. The test rig is used for the development of Varivent, a product used to reduce the environmental impact of the internal combustion engine. In my thesis work I describe the various and necessary elements of the project. These can be termed inputs, outputs, microprocessors, regulators and communicators. I discuss the difficulties and possibilities associated with the design criteria and mention the components used and their different attributes. The most challenging part of the project has been the design of the PID regulator, which, whilst being the heart of the system, has also been the most difficult part of the system to design. Finally I discuss my results where, in an analysis, I see that I could have made things easier for myself had I approached the problems in other ways but that the final result was, despite this, very satisfactory.</p>

Design and production of an energy harvesting wireless sensor

Bar, Farris Ahmad 18 December 2013 (has links)
The widespread deployment of wireless sensors in our homes, offices, factories and infrastructure has opened the door for system designers to create novel approaches for powering wireless sensor nodes. In recent years, energy harvesting has emerged as the power supply of choice for embedded system designers, enabling wireless sensors to be used in applications that previously were not feasible with conventional battery-powered designs. This report details the design and development of an energy harvesting wireless sensor from concept to production. Design constraints included the requirement to operate reliably in a wide variety of environments, the use of commercially available components, and a visually appealing form factor. The result is a very power-efficient, solar-powered wireless sensor that measures temperature, voltage, and illumination level at the solar cell and has an ultra slim form factor. / text

Ανάπτυξη cache controller βασισμένο στον δίαυλο AHB bus / Cache controller based on AHB bus

Γερακάρης, Δημήτρης 16 May 2014 (has links)
Cache controller compatible with AHB bus in system Verilog.

Spausdinimo įrenginio “CITIZEN-MD910” patikros stendas / CITIZEN MD910 Printer Testing Device

Elksnys, Vaidas 04 August 2011 (has links)
Dot impact printer mechanism “CITIZEN MD-910” is used in cash registers as a printer for customer receipts and journal paper ribbons. This printer is widely used in the cash registers such as ELCOM EURO-2000M, CASIO FE-800, DATECS MP-500, KONIC SR508F. Repairing these printers inside the cash registers there is a risk to delete the cash register’s memory in which programs and data of a turnover is stored. The dot impact printer mechanism “CITIZEN MD-910” test stand is being worked out to make the cash registers repairing easier and in this way to reduce the risk of deleting cash registers memory. The printer “CITIZEN MD-910” will be placed in the test stand and its work will be tested by sending text from the operating program into it. The stand will simulate real working conditions of the printer. Analyzing the printing process and the printed text on the paper ribbon it will be possible to decide on printer’s mechanical and electrical damage, work of wires and force they dot the paper, also, further usability. There are no similar analogues which could make the repairing of the cash registers dot impact printer mechanism “CITIZEN MD-910” easier and this is the main reason to work out the dot impact printer mechanism “CITIZEN MD-910” test stand.

Processor-in-Loop Control System Design Using a Non-Real-Time Electro-Magnetic Transient Simulator

Chongva, Gregory George 11 April 2012 (has links)
This thesis investigates using processor-in-loop techniques with non-real-time electro-magnetic transient simulation software for designing microcontroller-based systems. The behaviour of a microcontroller is included in the simulation by directly integrating the target microcontroller into an EMTP co-simulation. Additionally, to assist the design process, the optimization functionality of the EMTP program is extended to the microcontroller algorithm. Since non-realtime simulation does not require specialized test hardware to accurately simulate systems, it is both cheaper and able to be used earlier in the controller design process then hardware-in-loop real-time simulation. A component is created in the PSCAD / EMTDC program to integrate a generic controller running an arbitrary periodic algorithm into an EMTP simulation. The component operation is verified by creating a co-simulation of a three-phase induction motor V / f. speed control. The co-simulation results match the behaviour of the resulting system under a fairly broad range of operating conditions, highlighting the applicability of the technique.

DEVELOPMENT AND EVALUATION OF A CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK BASED AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE

Darr, Matthew John 01 January 2004 (has links)
Through the work of researchers and the development of commercially availableproducts, automated guidance has become a viable option for agricultural producers. Some of the limitations of commercially available technologies are that they onlyautomate one function of the agricultural vehicle and that the systems are proprietary toa single machine model. The objective of this project was to evaluate a controller area network (CAN bus)as the basis of an automated guidance system. The prototype system utilized severalmicrocontroller-driven nodes to act as control points along a system wide CAN bus.Messages were transferred to the steering, transmission, and hitch control nodes from atask computer. The task computer utilized global positioning system data to determinethe appropriate control commands.Infield testing demonstrated that each of the control nodes could be controlledsimultaneously over the CAN bus. Results showed that the task computer adequatelyapplied a feedback control model to the system and achieved guidance accuracy levelswell within the range sought. Testing also demonstrated the system's ability tocomplete normal field operations such as headland turning and implement control.
