The physical characterization of the fruits showed fruits weighting between 118,17 to 503,26 g, with length and diameter very similar one to another, attributing the fruits a round, ovoid or subglobose shape and average pulp yield of 18,556%, higher than previous reported yields. Total soluble solids, total soluble sugars and reducing sugars contents presented excellent values, besides low contents of phenolic compounds in all the fractions, what characterizes the bacuri pulp as little astringent, denoting potential nor only to “in natura” consumption as also to industry processing. Bacuri fruits must not be considered a good source of Vitamin C. High contents of total and soluble pectins were found in the genotypes M5, M7, M16, M22 and M23, these being the more appropriate to the obtaining of jam or fruit-in-syrup, crystallized fruit and paste sweet. The bacuri fruit pulp is an excellent source of minerals, deserving emphasis its calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, phosphorus, iron and zinc contents.

FormaÃÃo e limitaÃÃes regionais do plano de desenvolvimento sustentÃvel da regiÃo turÃstica do Meio-norte (Brasil) / Regional formation and limitations of the Sustainable Development Plan (SDPTR) for the Middle-north Touristic Region.

FÃbio de Oliveira Matos 17 April 2013 (has links)
This work deals with the relations between imagetic and the Sustainable Development Plan (SDPTR) for the Middle-north Touristic Region. The researched area corresponds to parcels of the States of MaranhÃo, Piauà and Cearà covering an overall of ninety municipalities. It is noticeable the construction of an integrator speech, in which, image stands out as the main focus of connection for the emergent regional project. Facing this perspective, this research aimed at analyzing the touristic integration process of the Middle-North based on the role of imagetic in current tourism regionalization policy. Seeking for landscape, social and economic homogenization aimed at the interconnection of heterogeneous areas, the SDPTR imagetic policy, substantiated on the referred plan, promotes, in present day, a complex range before the local reality. The operational procedure of the research was built in three moments: First, it was made a bibliographic review on thematic such as tourism, region, poverty and regional development; following, it was conducted a survey on the Middle-north Plan insertion documents in the three instances of power; and finally, in loco investigation, in which, it was directed a search for imagetic productions based on the referred plan as well as interviews with local social actors. Analyzing the regional proposal, it is noticed the speech aimed at the comprehensiveness of generalizing infrastructure policy elaborated for the effectuation of touristic activity. The formation of a region more concerned with a policy motioned to external attraction for tourism than necessarily with the articulation of its components, reveals a series of fragilities in the SDPTR organism, conferring to this plan, features of a sustainable underdevelopment proposal.

Ricard, Benjamin 01 1900 (has links)
This thesis aims to understand the repercussions of deindustrialization on Nordic societies, focusing on the specific case of Schefferville. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, various economic crises threatened the survival of several urban establishments in northern Quebec that had developed after World War II for the exploitation of natural resources. Within this wave of deindustrialization, the closure of the Iron Ore Company of Canada (IOC) in Schefferville in 1982 led to a period of uncertainty regarding the future of the town, which persisted for nearly a decade. This study focuses on analyzing the transformations of urban territory that occur following the departure of the mining company. Since the territory connects the communities of Schefferville, its study demonstrates how its transformation, driven by deindustrialization, also shapes significant connections between the communities. Examining this specific aspect allows us to understand the adaptation of both Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities of Schefferville to the new reality of their locality, as well as to expose the difference that the mining company holds in shaping the relationship to the territory of each community. We seek to understand how the natural and built environment is administered and redeveloped by these communities with the departure of the IOC, which had been directing territorial organization for nearly 30 years. This study reveals that the Innu community of Matimekush, previously marginalized by municipal and industrial actors in the preceding period, gained demographic, economic, and social importance in the town starting from 1983. As a result, the existence of the town becomes increasingly linked to the demands of Indigenous communities, and a new form of relationship emerges between band councils and the city hall.

Ouellet, Jean-Christophe 12 1900 (has links)
This thesis deals with lithic raw material use as evidenced on prehistoric sites from the middle North Shore of the Saint Lawrence River, Quebec. This regional study is based on the reanalysis of a large number of archaeological collections and places central importance on the identification and description of the varieties of lithics that were used. A specific material of local origin, Mingan chert, occupies a special place in this study. The importance of this material for regional prehistory has remained, until now, poorly understood. As a result of our analyses, a full inventory of the lithic varieties used on these sites is presented and permits us to illustrate certain prehistoric behaviours. Principally, we identify two sets of sites which correspond to the presence of subregional aboriginal groups (bands). Finally, raw material use demonstrates social and exchange ties that link the groups of our study area to those of the broader region of the Quebec-Labrador peninsula.
