Pettersson, Madelene January 2017 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to visualize and understand the teachers' perceptions of the concepts of movement activities and health in the preschool. This study will also include the parents’ point of view and expectations. The questions of the study are: How do the teachers perceive the concepts of movement and health from the curriculum? How are the concepts used in the preschool? How do the teachers complement the parents when it comes to their children's movement activities? The study was conducted by four interviews with teachers working in a preschool south of Stockholm. A survey was also handed out to the parents in order to collect data. For the results and analysis, a phenomenografics approach was used to find variations in the data. The results show that there are variations in teachers’ perceptions about how they work according to the curriculum. The teachers find that they can influence their work and that there is big potential in working with movement activities. A potential obstacle for this is lack of time, lack of staff or that the group is too big. The teachers gave examples of the goals from the curriculum, but far from everyone knew all of them. The survey from the parents show that most of them where satisfied with the work in the preschool regarding movement activities. The result also show that the most active families wanted more challenging activities in the preschool and the less active parents wanted their children to spend more time outdoors regardless of the weather.

Tahir, Niyan, Qassab, Teifa January 2020 (has links)
The purpose of this study is to map preschool teachers' views and knowledge about children's movement activities in preschool and to apply it to the paper's aim from the perspective of preschool teachers. The questions that form the basis of the study is based on pre-school movement activities and how the pre-school teacher's activities are applied. The study has used relevant literature from previous research. A qualitative survey method in the form of interviews was used to unify the empiricism. The qualitative method was implemented at three different preschools in Skåne with six (6) preschool teachers. The results of the study showed that the educators work with different movement activities that differ in their views, working methods and purpose. At the same time, educators work with planned and spontaneous movement activities in the indoor/outdoor environment. The preschool's location and layout affect the educator’s possibilities to carry out different activities. Finally, the educators' education, interest, knowledge and their views on the curriculum influence the work with children’s movements.

Rörelse på förskolegården : Pedagogernas arbete med rörelse och motorik på förskolegården / Movement at the preschool yard : The teachers work with movement and motor in the preschool yard

Axén, Amelie January 2016 (has links)
Movement and motor development for children is a current issue. Research shows that children are becoming more sedentary in front of the television, computer, iPad, etc. The purpose of my thesis is to study how pedagogues work with movement and motor development in the preschool yard. In my attempt to investigate this, a qualitative research in the form of face-to-face interviews was performed. Qualitative interviews is the chosen method for my research to provide as extensive and detailed answers as possible. Six preschool teachers (both with and without pedagogic education) from three different preschools participated in the research. The results show that none of the teachers worked with planned movement activities to support the development of children’s physical development. However, they all felt that movement and motor development are important for the children and that a lot of movement and motor training are already performed naturally in the outdoor stay.

Klímová, Veronika January 2019 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of movement of pre-school children in free play in kindergarten. The main goal was find whitch conditions are in chosen kindergarten in free play and by experiment find that modify conditions intensify movement but keep safety in kindergarten. The thesis is divided to theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes the characteristic of pre-school child, the need and importance of movement at this age, the definition and types of games and finally the problém of free-play conditions in kindergarten. For the practical part ithree methods were chosen. These include observing morning free play in four kindegartens, questionnaire for teachers from these kindergartens and experimentally checkiing the availability of three aids with one group od children in free play. The results of the diploma thesis show that the free movement of children in normal kindergarten according to the teachers complicates mainly the size of classroom spaces and the number of children in the classroom. Unfortunately during my observation in 75 % of cases children were not allowed to spontaneously move in classroom. Observation and results of questionnaire showed that the division of the class for rest activities and movement is desirable but this is not a common practice....

Rörelseglädje i förskolan? / Movement joy in preschool? : A study of preschool teachers' perceptions of their work on physical activity and movement.

Friberg, Camilla January 2018 (has links)
