This report describes the work with creating a CMS (Content Manager System). A CMS is a web tool so you easy can publish materials on your web page. With a CM Scan you can without any knowledge of programming web pages create and maintain a web page. This will result in that you and your organisation save time and money. You can also split the responsibility for the webpage in different roles, but still keep the control. We have chosen to create our CMS in a script language called php4 and with the database server MySQL, we have also used JavaScript a lot. User-friendly and simplicity are two words that we have been working against, and that is why we spent some extra time creating a system that is easy to work with. Ett CMS är ett redigeringsverktyg för att lätt kunna publicera material på din webbplats. Med ett CMS, kan du utan årogrammeringskunskaper uppdatera och driva en webbplats. Det gör att du och din organisation spar tid för att få uppdateringar gjorda. Du kan också fördela ansvaret för webbplatsen men ändå behålla kontrollen. Vi har valt att skapa vårt CMS med skriptspråket php4 samt databasservern MySQL, även JavaScript har använts i stor utsträckning. Den här rapporten beskriver arbetet med att skapa en dynamisk designdriven webbsida åt Landegrens Legomek AB, ett mindre företag inom tillverkningsindustrin. Företaget hade sedan tidigare en statisk webbsida och ville förnya denna i takt med den ökade vikten av att synas på Internet. Design och layout är anpassad till företages profil och kunder för att ge ett seriös och formellt intryck. Vi har valt att skapa den nya webbsidan med databasservern MySQL och skriptspråket PHP. Även JavaScript är en del i implementeringen. Till den nya webbsidan har vi också skapat en administrativ tjänst som är webb-baserad, denna ger möjlighet att enkelt uppdatera innehållet på webbplatsen. Arbetet har inte endast omfattat den tekniska delen utan även berört andra delar som foto och copywriting. Företaget har valt att ha sin hemsida hos ett webbhotell, i det här fallet Telia. Fördelen är främst säkerhet och underhåll av systemet. Nackdelen är de begränsningar som webbhotellet har, bland annat ftp-stödet i PHP som fullständigt saknas vilket har lett till att vi fick implementera andra lösningar. / This report describes how to create a dynamic and design driven web page for Landegrens Legomek AB, a minor company in the manufacturing business. The company had already recognized the need to update its former web page to a more modern design to keep up with the current trends on the Internet. Design and layout were adapted to the company’s profile and its customers, this to give the right impression of the company. The page was created with the database server MySQL together with the script language PHP. JavaScript is also a part of the implementation. We have also created an web interface for updating and managing the web page in an easy way. The work also included other parts beside the technical implementation, such as photography and copywriting. The company has chosen to place its website in a web hotel, for this case Telia. The advantage with this solution is the security as well as the managing of the system. The disadvantage is the limits of the web hotel, e.g. the missing ftp support in PHP, which has forced us to choose other solutions.

Detta dokument tar upp hur ett avancerat webbshopssystem kan utvecklas. Jag har dels granskat den teoretiska aspekten, dels utvecklat ett webbshopssystem från grunden, vilket har gjorts utbyggbart genom att det består av en grundstomme och tilläggsmoduler. Funktioner som är icke önskvärda i en viss webbshop men användbara i en annan ska därmed kunna läggas till vid behov, utan kunskap om programmering. I rapporten diskuteras även hur webbshopssystemets datamodell kan representeras som relationer, med fokus på relationsdatabashanteraren MySQL. Detta görs för att visa hur valet av datamodell och fysisk modell kan påverka systemets utformning, samt vilka möjliga problem eller fallgropar som kan uppstå till följd av detta val. Rapporten diskuterar även säkerhets- och sekretessfrågor. Då det är viktigt att identifiera och förebygga säkerhetsbrister i öppna system som webbshopar diskuteras bland annat hantering av personuppgifter och metoder för att kryptera och hantera lösenord. Avslutningsvis följer en beskrivning av arbetet med det webbshopssystem som jag har utvecklat för att visa hur teorin kan tillämpas i praktiken, och hur man gradvis kan gå från ett enklare till ett mer komplext webbshopssystem.

Denna rapport beskriver utvecklingsprocessen av ett bokningssystem till en frisersalong. Bokningssystemet ska användasför att boka tider för kunder och också underlätta administrationen för de anställda. I rapporten beskrivs arbetsprocessen steg för steg med kravspecifikation, designspecifikation, gränssnitt och till sist resultat. Bokningssystemet täckte alla grundläggande krav som kunden hade. En förbättring vore att i utvecklingen av gränssnittet mer noggrant analysera användarens krav ur ett användbarhetsperspektiv. På så sätt skulle en del problem i användbarheten av systemet identifieras tidigare. Examensarbetet ledde fram till ett bokningssystem till en frisersalong som används dagligen för att sköta arbetet med bokningar av kunder. Systemet utvecklades i Java och använder databashanteraren MySQL.

This is a degree work, connected to the education Media and Communication engineering at the University of Linköping, and is made for TEFK a furnishing company in Sjövik. The purpose of this degree project is to create a visual identity and to develop a databasedriven website. The goal was to clarify the visual identity and to build an appealing website that could be administrated by the company. They had a need to present their products and to let their customers be able to order directly through their website. The website also had to serve as a part of the marketing by informing the visitors about the company. The result became a website developed in ASP.NET that presents the company and its products and lets the costumers place orders. Further they now have an interface for easy management of the website and its content. The company has guidelines on how to produce graphical content. On the basis of these guidelines we produced a new businesscard and document templates for common communication. In the end both we and the company are very satisfied with the result with this degree project. This thesis describes the work that has been done.

Along with the popularization of the SMS (Short Message Service) as a communication tool among big companies, such as flight and train companies, post offices and banks, a new branch started to take place in the mobile communication industry: bulk-SMS business. The companies send the SMS to their costumers through an aggregator, which in turn send the SMS further to the customers’ mobile phone. The aggregator consequently needs to monitor the SMS traffic constantly so they can assure good quality of their services. In case of an interruption in the system, their support group needs to be notified directly, so the problem can be fixed straightaway. The aim of this project was to develop an application integrated to the intranet of a company that works in the business of bulk-SMS (CLX Networks), in order to replace the current monitoring system, called OpenNMS. The system was developed using Zend Framework (PHP) and MySQL database.The project resulted in an application that allows the administrator to configure alarms and notifications and to add clients and suppliers accounts to the monitoring system. Whereas the interaction between the user administrator and the system is already implemented, the connection between the system and the CDR- and RR-database is still under development.

Arbetet handlar om utveckling av ett e-learningsystem och hur man kan säkra koden förframtiden. Dessutom handlar det om att undersöka en möjlig implementation av standardenSCORM samt att ta fram en ny databasmodell.Efter förundersökning togs beslutet att genomföra projektet som ett API i grunden medtestdriven utveckling och tillhörande dokumentation. De tekniker som användes var; HTML,CSS, XML, PHP, MySQL, Javascript, och Codeigniter.Resultatet blev som förväntat förutom att det inte gick att återanvända koden i den utsträckningsom först uppskattades utan istället återanvändes idéer och problemlösning. / This thesis is about an e-learning system and how to secure the code for future development. Inaddition, it is about a conceivable implemention of the SCORM standard and to develop a newdatabase model.After preliminary investigation it was decided to proceed with the project as an API and to usetest-driven development and also to write documentation. The techniques used were: HTML,CSS, XML, PHP, MySQL, Javascript, Codeigniter.The result was as expected except that it was not possible to reuse the code in the extent whichwas first estimated, but instead re-use ideas and how to solve problems.

Detta examensarbete är gjort på uppdrag av Fiber Optik Valley. Huvuduppdraget i projektet var att skapa ett fungerande betalningssystem för en hotspot och att utveckla företagets webbsida. Hotspotsystemet som baserades på en gratistjänst från Public IP, är tänkt att kunna fungera delvis autonomt utan ägarens ingripande. Företagets webbsida skapades i en Flex2-utvecklingsmiljö och produkten blev en Adobe Flash-applikation. För att få ett dynamiskt och konfigurerbart system skapades även en kontrollpanel till webbsidan åt företagets webbadministratörer, så att innehållet på sidan ska kunna förändras utan att behöva kompilera om koden. Kontrollpanelen säkrades också med en inloggningsprocess. Som underliggande motor och som ersättning för brister i Flash-funktionaliteten, användes Simple PHP-tjänster mellan Flash-applikationen och PHP-skripten på servern. Betalningssystemet utvecklades med hjälp av PHP, MySQL och JavaScript. I systemet ingår PayPal’s IPN-tjänster för penningtransaktioner och validering av transaktioner. En självständig AMP-server, Apache2, MySQL och PHP5.0, lades till hotspotsystemet för att minska behovet av att ha en webbsida på ett externt webbhotell. / This graduation work was done as a assignment from Fiber Optic City company based in Hudiksvall Sweden. The base assignment was to create an automated payment system for a Hotspot network and a company web page. The hotspot system should work as a standalone service. The company has already a working free-of-charge service that is offered to its customers and is based on Public IP system. The company webpage was done with the help of a development suite called Flex2 and the result was an Adobe Flash application. To increase webpage dynamics a second page was developed for the company to have the ability to change and configure the main company webpage. An authentication service was deployed to configuration page to increase its security. As an engine and a substitute for lack of functionality and security in Adobe Flash simplePHP web service was used to connect Flash with a PHP script on its server. The payment system was developed with the help of PHP, MySQL and JavaScript. The system uses Paypal IPN service for money transaction and transaction validation A standalone web server with Apache2, PHP 5.0 and MySQL was deployed to the hotspot system to reduce the need of having an authentication system on a commercial Internet based web hotel.

This thesis, that comes together with an extranet and internet site programmed in ASP.NET 2.0, has been written in the context of our final project on bachelor level in association with the School of Engineering – Jönköping University. We had the choice to think of a project on our own or to work in association with a company. As the Belgian company Induma came with this idea, we decided to work this project out. Our project has got the name ‘Company Communication System for Customers and Dealers’. Besides the front-end and back-end internet site, it will also include a system for customers and dealers, extranet site. So the site will get more interactive and there will be more online transactions possible. We would like to thank the School of Engineering – Jönköping University, KATHO – VHTI and our parents to get the chance to experience studying abroad.
