Doses de NPK no desenvolvimento, produtividade e qualidade de frutos do maracujazeiro 'Roxinho do Kênia' /

Ripardo, Ana Karolina da Silva, 1983. January 2010 (has links)
The passion fruit 'Roxinho of Kênia' is a fruit that can become an important source of income for the farmer because of the high price paid in the European market for fresh fruit. The mineral nutrition is essential to raise productivity and improve fruit quality, with nitrogen and potassium nutrients most absorbed by passion. Considering the lack of studies on the amounts of N, P and K in the culture of the purple passion fruit, this study aimed to evaluate the development, productivity and quality of passion fruit "Roxinho of Kênia" (Passiflora edulis var. Edulis Sims), as to increasing levels of NPK. The experiment was established on the Experimental Farm Lageado belonging to the Faculty of Agronomic Sciences - UNESP, located in Botucatu, São Paulo. The statistical design was randomized blocks, using increasing doses of NPK (20-05-20) at doses of 140, 200, 260, 320, 380 and 440 g / plant, with four replications. Seedlings were planted at a spacing of 2.50 x 2.50 m, containing four plants per plot. The parameters evaluated were: plant height at 30, 46, 63, 77 and 92 days after planting, trunk diameter 30 cm of soil with 30, 46, 63, 77, 92 and 107 days after planting; production, productivity; classification fruit type with subsequent counting and weighing, analysis of Brix, acidity and vitamin C Increasing doses of NPK had no effect on growth in height and stem diameters of plants in most time periods studied, but at 92 and 107 days, respectively, there was a significant effect for the doses, the NPK fertilizer did not influence the other parameters were / Mestre

When passion becomes a profession and the profession becomes passion : A qualitative study about the experiences to work with your passion

Lind, Evelina, Heinemann, Hanna January 2020 (has links)

Ekberg, Ida, Mårtensson, Victoria January 2018 (has links)
The aim of this study is to understand the sport event Toughest through the participants'perspective. To collect relevant empirical we conducted semistructured interviews withtwelve people who had participated and completed the obstacle course race, Toughest. We choose to implement the study on a physical activity-background perspective as wewanted to see if there is a relationship between physical activity background and toparticipate in Toughest. The interviews were performed by both of us and notes were taken. The study includes 12semi structured interviews which were performed at different times. During weekdays andweekends, during the day and evening. The result shows that the participants in our study have both similar and differentperspectives on Toughest. Based on the interviews all the participants has a common thought where they explain Toughest as a sport event that is a challenge for them. Furthermore the results shows that some of the participant want to partake in Toughest because it is fun and social, where as some of the participants have a great passion for obstacle course races and sees Toughest as a motivation for their daily training.

Assessment of Secondary Agricultural Educators' Attrition Risk in the Southern Region of the National Association of Agricultural Educators

Scammahorn, Roseanne Ellison 13 December 2014 (has links)
Attrition of secondary agricultural education professionals is a major concern to the educational system in the United States. A number of studies have documented that attrition is a very serious problem, especially for beginning teachers during his or her first years on the job. As the need for teachers continues to grow, it becomes progressively more difficult for school administration to recruit, identify, and hire highly qualified secondary agricultural education teachers. The purpose of this study was to examine the attrition risk factors among secondary agricultural education teachers in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee and the region as a whole. Specifically, this study was designed to identify and describe secondary agricultural educators who are at-risk for leaving the profession based on the four constructs; alternative career opportunities, expectations versus realities, people frustrations and passions for the profession. In addition, the numbers of years of service and gender differences were examined. A stratified random sample (n = 583) of the population (N = 2,667) received the email questionnaire (33.6% response, n = 196). Participants were described as males (62%) having a minimum of a traditional four-year degree (73%) and an average of 13 years of teaching experience. The majority of secondary agricultural education teachers in the study possessed high levels of attrition risk as related to expectations versus realities, followed by moderate risks of alternative career opportunities and people frustrations. However, teachers in the study indicated a very low risk for attrition when analyzing passions for the profession. Participants indicated the state of residence had no significant implication on the overall risk of attrition, alternative career opportunities, expectations versus realities, or passions for the profession. Statistically significant results were on the construct, people frustrations, between Georgia and Mississippi and Georgia and Tennessee. Overall, the region was assessed as a moderate risk of attrition (M = 2.76). No significant relationships were found between sex and attrition risk, or number of years in the profession and attrition risk.

How Was Passion Stirred Through Interactivity in Obama's Blog?

Liu, Yifei 18 March 2009 (has links)
Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) / The impact of new technology on the current presidential campaign has prevailed. A small but fundamental change quietly took place in the candidate’s website—Barack Obama’s official campaign blog. The campaign is now operating two sub-blogs at the same time, the Obamablog (also known as the Obama HQ blog) and the Community Blog. The former becomes a must-have tool in a political campaigner’s strategy, whereas the latter, which allows visitors to actually write, publish, and manage posts, is novel. This new function seems an audacious step up from the rest of the blogs of this kind since the 2004 presidential election because it gives citizen users freedom to express their own ideas that could put the campaign on an impromptu situation to respond.
