destaque compreendem o maracujazeiro-azedo (Passiflora edulis Sims.) e o
maracujazeiro-doce (Passiflora alata Curtis.).
todas as regiões do país.
As condições
edafoclimáticas do Sul do Rio Grande do Sul, apresentam algumas especificidades
A tese compreende três artigos
edulis ‘BRS Sol do Cerrado’ e, Passiflora edulis ‘BRS Rubi do Cerrado’.
(Epagri); ‘Catarina’ (Epagri); ‘Urussanga’ (Epagri); ‘BRS Gigante Amarelo’; ‘BRS Rubi
do Cerrado’; ‘BRS Sol do Cerrado’.
The fruticulture is an important activity in Brazil and is very adapted to family farming
and the proposed diversification of small areas of production. The passion fruit
(Passifloras) are plants that play an important role for many family farmers due to high
demand of manpower and considerable income for small farms. In Brazil, the cultivated
species featured include the yellow passion fruit (Passiflora edulis Sims.), the purple
passion fruit (Passiflora edulis Sims.) and sweet passion fruit (Passiflora alata Curtis.).
With edaphoclimatic adaptability cultural diversity of Brazil, it is possible the yellow
passion fruit production in all regions of the country. However, for a better
understanding, it is necessary to further studies in different locations from those of
commercial cultivation. Soil and climatic conditions of southern Rio Grande do Sul
(State of Brazil), has some specific soil and climate in relation to the tropical regions of
traditional cultivation. So, to that the growers can diversify their production with passion
fruit, it is necessary studies to adapt the genotypes already on the market, for a new
location. Therefore, this work aimed to evaluate productive aspects, the physicochemical quality and bioactive compounds from juice, flour from the peel and leaves
of the genotypes of commercial passionfruit grown in Pelotas, Brazil. The thesis
comprises three articles and were developed in UFPel/FAEM, between the years 2013
and 2015. The Article 1 was titled production and fruit quality of passion fruit in
temperate conditions. Were evaluated genotypes: Passiflora edulis ‘Catarina’;
Passiflora edulis ‘BRS Sol do Cerrado’ e, Passiflora edulis ‘BRS Rubi do Cerrado’. All
genotypes showed potential for production in the region of Pelotas, RS. The physicochemical quality of the fruits of genotypes are within acceptable parameters. The Article
2 was titled bioactive compounds from leaves, peel and juice of genotypes of passion
fruit. Were evaluated genotypes: ‘Catarina Roxo’ (Epagri); ‘Catarina’ (Epagri);
‘Urussanga’ (Epagri); ‘BRS Gigante Amarelo’; ‘BRS Rubi do Cerrado’; ‘BRS Sol do
Cerrado’. For evaluations of leaves ‘BRS Gigante Amarelo’ genotype was not
evaluated. There were differences among genotypes for all bioactive compounds
evaluated. It can be concluded that the genotypes of passion fruit evaluated in this
study, have potential as a source of bioactive compounds. The Article 3 was entitled
production and fruit quality of sweet passion fruit selection ‘Urussanga’ in temperate
climate. The genotype characterized was selection Urussanga selected by Epagri,
derived from sweet passion fruit (Passiflora alata Curtis.). Overall the sweet passion
fruit selection Urussanga, shows productive potential and fruit physicochemical quality
adequate when grown in temperate conditions. However, based on the results
obtained and discussed in this thesis, it can be concluded that the production, quality
and bioactive compounds of genotypes evaluated passionfruit can be commercially
exploited by producers who wish to diversify production in non-traditional area of
cultivation. It is concluded that this thesis comply with the initial justification, which
therefore proves the existence of potential for passion fruit production in temperate
climate conditions.

Portanto, o método de secagem convencional em leito fixo pode ser considerado viável como processo de preparação / Abstract: Brazil is the main producer of orange and passion fruit which produce a large amount of fiber rich residue after juice extraction. Considering today¿s demand for dietary fiber supplementation and environmental pollution, it is a promising opportunity to research on the practical use of those residues which amounts to 50% of the fruit weight. This research work was aimed to evaluate physicochemical properties of those fibers which are of utmost importance in the technology of it¿s processing and use. Fibers were tray and freeze dryed in order to compare results from two different drying methods. Analysis showed high fiber content and protein, lipid, ash, moisture, water activity, pH and acidity compatible to utilization as ingredients in processed food. Surface area, porosity and density were strongly related to particle size. The conventional tray drying promoted a dramatic shrinking on the microstructure although not affecting properties of technological importance thus indicating this as a feasible process / Doutorado / Engenharia de Alimentos / Doutor em Engenharia de Alimentos

Désir et passion dans l'œuvre dramatique de Jóhann Sigurjónsson / Desire and passion in Jóhann Sigurjónsson’s dramatic worksNevjinsky, Fern 11 September 2009 (has links)
The aim of my research is to propose a psychoanalytic interpretation of Jóhann Sigurjónsson's dramatic works. Works of art support the true preoccupations of their author and concern themselves with universal feelings and especially desires and passions as primal motivations. I have undertaken an analysis of the relationship between passions and generally literary writing in the works of Jóhann Sigurjónsson. In order to do that, I have first investigated the relative role of the historical and cultural context of the plays. By means of an accurate structural analysis, the main topics are then drawn from the text. On the surface, all the characters are excessive and weak. Consequently passions, here considered as an "avatar" of the narcissistic organization of the personality, result in breakdown, psychotic disease or death. Narcissistic regression shows that the passion is dependant on a domination of the death instincts. This relationship between the passions and the various expressions of the death instincts appears as the final buttress that stands up to further interpretation.

The competitiveness agreement of the productive fruit chain of the Department of Huila has prioritized the Passion fruits as a productive bet. The Passion fruit sector is characterized by the dispersion of the planted areas without specialization and like a supplement income of the main productive activity. The main objective of this research was the identification of labor skills of the passion flower producers in Huila and its relationship with the level of regional competitiveness. For that the current state of labor skills has been identified, the link between labor skills and competitiveness for the Passion fruit sector was established and the reinforcement levels of producer labor skills to the sector productivity was also verified. The research method is positivist, the rationing mode is abduction, the search process is the hybrid exploration, the methodological approach is mixed and the access strategy to reality is the case study. This research, in general, determines the labor skills of Passion fruits producers in the department of Huila and establishes relationships between them and the regional competitiveness plan. The search results show a Passion fruit producer with low levels of education, manual work, little use of technology, with low associativity and expectative of official support by government agencies and industry leaders.

Drames d'amour : étude psychanalytique des crimes passionnels / Love tragedies : psychoanalytic study of crimes of passionLaufer, Danièle 22 March 2016 (has links)
Our pratical experience as a psychologist expert in court, has led us to undertake this research into crimes of passion. This category not recognized by the law, emphasizes the dramatical situation arising between man and woman. Passion, crime and madness are the basis of mankind.19th century criminology from psychiatrist and forensic science onwards, as part of a social protection movement has stated the question of madness and dangerousness of these criminals. Nowadays, in the 21st century, the most significant signifier is woman’s abuse : women are victims with rights to fight for.Psychoanalysis, with Freud and Lacan make act and desire, central to psyche. Lacan has shown with Aimée the imaginary dimension of crime, then evolving into a symbolic dimension in the fifties. With his latest teaching and the invention of the object « a », causality of acting out is psychic and anchors in the real.Admitting the absurdity of crime prevents us from separating act and personality and can bring the subject to accepting his responsability and be judged consequently.Neurosciences are helpless to say what is passion or crime, and actuarial techniques do not help us to predict it. Love is a pretence masking the impossibility of the sexual intercourse. The clinical approach of continuist psychosis, as formulated by Miller, emphasizes the importance of invention distinctively. During break-up proceedings, when love is not a « sinthome » any longer, faced with a surge of overwhelming pleasure, the subject when unable to find an answer to his problem, may act out.We may then speak of altruistic suicide in an « altruisitic act of love ».

M.A. (Biblical Studies) / The Old Testament quotations in the New Testament have always been a problem. Many studies have been devoted to the subject. Because of new manuscript discoveries (e.g. Qumran) interpretation is given a new look. This also applies to new methods of exegesis. A preliminary chapter studies the necessity of yet another study on this matter. It also deals with methodological considerations and such necessary details. From the outset it is obvious that new questions should be asked of old problems. This study deals basically with such quotations in Chapter 19 of the Fourth Gospel. The quotations are, in the same sense as the Gospel, unique. lot seems as if the Gospel narrator randomly used four O.T. words as fulfillment of some Scripture of some passages in John. To determine why and how he used these words the probable O.T. sections are explored to determine the original text (Masoretic text) and the Greek translation text (LXX, Chapter 1). Chapter 2 is devoted to the question whether the O.T. context is brought into account in the quotation of John. This study yields little in understanding the N.T. text, although some. The third chapter considers the unique character of the Fourth Gospel and particularly the Passion as described In this Gospel. The following chapter analyzes the structure of the pericope by means of structural analysis. These details proved valuable as exegetic framework, and point to possible function of the quotation...

Passion and Fear effects on student entrepreneursKuri, Avijit, RenFei, Wang January 2017 (has links)
Entrepreneurship has been gotten fruitful attentions all around the world, it also has become one of the most significant engines for both national economic and social growth. The internal factors, which are able to affect entrepreneur’s behaviors during the whole entrepreneurship life cycle, are gradually becoming a hot topic in both practical and academic research fields. Especially for some of the famous researchers, such as Melissa Cardon and Mitchell, J.R. are leading the academic research of the relation between entrepreneurial emotions (e.g., passion and fear) and behaviors. In this study, our objective is to understand how passion and fear effect student entrepreneur’s behaviors when they are running their businesses at the early stage of entrepreneurship. Moreover, semi structured interview has been chosen to collect qualitative materials for this Master thesis paper. In this case, eight student entrepreneurs from Linnaeus University in Vaxjo, Sweden who are studying and running their business at the same time, or have finished their study already but started their business while they were students are selected by us for doing the interview. Furthermore, we broadly discussed about different stages of entrepreneurship, also entrepreneurial passion and fear along with entrepreneurial internal emotions such as cognition, self-regulation, self-efficacy, persistence, which could influence student entrepreneurs’ behaviors to start up their business and afterwards. Finally, after empirical analyzing we found that the bright side of passion and fear have positive effects on student entrepreneurs’ behaviors, whilst the negative effects of passion and fear can hinder their behaviors during the early entrepreneurial process.

Previous issue date: 2009-09-07 / The population growth compelled to the increase of food s production, demanding bigger productivity, consequently it caused bigger quantity agro-industrial s residue per area. If they are treated and reutilized inadequately they can cause environmental problems. The utilization of these agricultural residues through simple process as decomposition can solve the big environmental problem generated and aggregate value to the producers. The major point of this study is to evaluate the development from passion fruit saplings on different substrata stemmed from decomposition of swine s excrements and vegetable residues. In order to do that were utilized the following vegetable residues: coffee s peel, rice s peel, cane pulp and eucalyptus s sawdust. The treatments utilized were substrata on the portion of 100, 75, 50 and 25% of organic compound stemmed from decomposition and the remainder was filled with soil. Thus, the treatments of: 1 to 4 utilized the compound stemmed from swine s excrements and rice s peel, 5 to 8 utilized compound stemmed from swine s excrements and coffee s peel, 9 to 12 utilized compound stemmed from swine s excrements and cane pulp and 13 to 16 utilized compound stemmed from swine s excrements and sawdust. Also it was utilized one treatment which the composition is known on the market, being 30% of bovine dung and 70% of soil to compare with others treatments. The delimitation used was on blocks called DBC, factorial essay 4x4+1. The factor A was the substratum s type and the Factor B was a proportion of the substratum plus standard treatment. Saplings were evaluated after 60 days of planting. Were evaluated green and dry bulk from aerial part and radicular system. Also were evaluated length from aerial part and radicular system and number of leaves from passion fruit s saplings. The statistics analyses made were: the test Scott-Knott (p<0,05) to the Factor A, regression to the Factor B and contrast to the additional treatment. The treatments shaped by swine s excrements compound and coffee s peel represented better physical/chemistry characteristics. The swine s excrements and rice s peel on the portions of 75 to 100% of organic compounds had better results in almost all characteristics of substratum passion fruit saplings.

Resource constraints and sustainable entrepreneurship in sub-Saharan Africa: An effectual viewDawa, Samuel G. January 2018 (has links)
The study seeks to explain how sustainable entrepreneurship occurs in a resource constrained setting. This is important as it improves our understanding of how entrepreneurs respond to adversity and develop opportunities that jointly address the social, environmental and economic dimensions of entrepreneurship.
Previous research has discussed the antecedents, outcomes and contextual conditions that drive sustainable entrepreneurship. However, what is absent from this growing research body is knowledge of the mechanisms through which individuals engage in this type of entrepreneurship.
The study seeks to answer the following research question: “How do individuals faced with resource constraints engage in sustainable entrepreneurship?” Using effectuation as a lens, a multi-method qualitative approach based on multiple case studies was adopted in this research and a mix of inductive and deductive analyses, also referred to as abductive analysis was employed. A sample of 5 sustainable enterprises were purposively selected in Uganda, located in sub-Saharan Africa.
The results show that resource constraints compel the entrepreneurs to seek expertise and resources from others with mutual goals while controlling expenses. In the process the entrepreneur learns and adapts to the emergent opportunity. The entrepreneur’s actions are further influenced by passion that sustains the activity in the face of challenges. In this research, sustainable entrepreneurship is further explicated showing that the social, economic and environmental objectives exist in a state of shifting, supportive interaction of one another.
The study clarifies our understanding of how entrepreneurs cope with inadequate resources. It explains the mechanisms through which individuals contending with resource constraints employ control as opposed to prediction strategies to exploit entrepreneurship opportunities. In this way the study contributes to the literature by proposing the fusion of cognitive and affective dimensions in realizing sustainable entrepreneurship goals. The study further suggests that the multiple objectives that typify the pursuits of sustainable entrepreneurs serve as supportive mechanisms and this puts into question arguments that these firms face comparatively larger challenges than those that singularly pursue economic objectives. / Thesis (PhD)--University of Pretoria, 2018. / Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) / PhD / Unrestricted
