Esta é uma pesquisa que tem como objetivo encaminhar uma sondagem do ideário contemporâneo que, midiaticamente, se desdobra em torno de uma palavra de ordem, ou seja, o termo bem-estar. Esse termo, o modo como comparece neste trabalho, foi considerado a partir do corpus desta pesquisa e que veio a ser o caderno Equilíbrio do jornal Folha de S. Paulo (de 01/2000 a 06/ 2005), bem como da pesquisa bibliográfica. A partir daí, levou-se em conta o termo bem-estar naquilo em que é colocado em questão um estilo sócio cultural de busca de felicidade que tem a experiência sensível do corpo, os cuidados com a saúde, a construção da beleza e a autonomia dos indivíduos como componentes de um Bem maior. Isto posto, esta pesquisa estabeleceu recortes específicos de abordagem do ideário de bem-estar que mantém em comum a perspectiva de que ele se coloca como forma de resposta àquilo que Freud chamou de mal-estar na cultura. O termo resposta interessa aqui na qualidade de investimento libidinal que privilegia certas formas de presença dos indivíduos no laço social. Dentre os recortes específicos dessa abordagem encontram-se: a questão das antinomias pertinentes ao laço social contemporâneo e o ideário de bemestar permeando-as na qualidade de um desdobramento de certa ética do bem-estar; a veiculação midiática de imagens de corpos implicados no ideário de bem-estar e a cativação que esses propõem, questão que remete às mídias como um Outro cujo olhar oferta reconhecimento e legitimidade identitária; consumo e bem-estar; o sucesso da psiquiatria contemporânea nas mídias e as promessas de minimizar os sofrimentos mentais através de intervenções técnicas no corpo. / This study has the objective of investigating contemporary ideas that, in the media, fall under the omnipresent catchword of \"well-being.\" In this present thesis, the term \"wellbeing\" is used exclusively according to the meaning found in the corpus of this study the section of the Folha de S. Paulo daily newspaper entitled Equilíbrio [Balance], which ran from January 2000 to June 2005 and in part of the bibliographic research. The term was thus used for aspects where it questions a socio-cultural style of seeking happiness in the sensorial experience of the body, health care, the construction of beauty, and the autonomy of individuals as components of a broader good. This having been established, the thesis sets up specific ways of approaching the ideal of well-being that have in common the perspective that the ideal is presented as a type of response to what Freud called \"discontent in civilization.\" The term response is of interest here, being understood as libidinal investment that gives special emphasis to certain forms of the presence of individuals in their social ties. Among the specific aspects in approaching notions of well-being are the following: the question of the antinomies pertinent to contemporary social ties and the ideal of well-being that permeates them as consequences of a certain ethic of well-being; the broadcasting by the media of images of bodies that fit into the ideal of well-being and the fascination that these bodies propose, a question that has to do with the media as an Other whose gaze offers recognition and identitary legitimacy; consumption and well-being; the success of contemporary psychiatry in the media; and promises to minimize mental suffering by technically acting on the body.

This essay brings up how experienced texture artists in game development can get comfortable in their workflow and therefore not spend time on learning new techniques that in the end could be more efficient. We base this on theories that people often choose the path of least resistance, which in the case of an experienced texture artist would be the path they have learned and are comfortable with. We also talk about the popularity of Photoshop and that many of today’s texture artists in the game industry are using it and that this could be because Photoshop was one of the first programs that could be used well for texturing. Because of this many learned to use it and stuck by it and then taught Photoshop to new texture artists because that is the program that they know. We also go into the subject of why many other programs that are developed directly for texturing often can be similar to Photoshop in how they are used and in their interface.

The purpose of this project is to examine the visual rhetoric of one online community. Drawing heavily from the work of Laurie Gries (2015), I track the evolution of an image as it circulates through a forum of photo manipulators in the group “PhotoShopBattles.” While Gries’ work traced the evolution of the iconic Obama Hope poster and its iterations in various media, this project restricts its observations to the images posted to one webpage, focusing on one evolutionary chain. By narrowing the focus to one internet forum page that evolved over the course of one week, we can observe linear evolution that occurs quite rapidly. While the study of Obama Hope covered years, the works in this study were constructed in a matter of days. Additionally, the site records the step-by-step progress of the reformed work. The Obama Hope work offers guidance to the work in this project. Using this method, an image’s evolution is broken down into steps and principles noted in the life of the image or multiple-image. By recreating a slightly modified version of Gries’ method, this work seeks to decode the meanings and outcomes that are created and changed around one set of evolving images. New materialism offers a way to explore the visual rhetorical moves of members of an online community and discuss the outcomes associated with those moves. With a deeper understanding of the environment surrounding image creation and the outcomes derived from an image, we can better understand the way image is used rhetorically online.

I detta arbete illustrerar jag den buddhistiska tanke som kallas pratityasamutpada, som saknar svensk översättning men på engelska kallas dependent origination och handlar om att alla fenomen uppkommit på grund av andra fenomen. För detta ritar jag på frihand i Photoshop ett flertal svarta cirklar med låg opacitet som jag placerar delvis omlott. Där cirklarna överlappar skapas en ny cirkel, som alltså uppkommit av andra cirklar. Jag prövar mig fram genom att ändra cirklarnas bredd, opacitet och antal. Därefter gör jag om det hela i Illustrator, men med cirklar ritade med cirkelfunktionen snarare än på frihand. Detta prövar jag sedan med cirklar i olika färger som är både medvetet och slumpmässigt utvalda. Jag kommer fram till att de svarta cirklarna som ritats i Illustrator var de som bäst uppnådde mitt mål. Jag märker att själva arbetsprocessen kan illustrera flera andra buddhistiska tankar, vilket jag gör under den slutgiltiga utställningen med hjälp av work-in-progress-bilder och förklarande texter som jag skriver ut och hänger upp, och genom att själv närvara och förklara. / In this paper I illustrate the Buddhist concept of pratityasamutpada or dependent origination, the notion that all phenomena have arisen from other phenomena. For this I use Photoshop to freehand-draw a number of black low-opacity circles which I place on top of one another, partly overlapping. Where the circles overlap, a new circle is formed that’s arisen from the other circles. I’m testing out different variations by varying the circles’ opacity, width and number. After that, I re-do it all in Illustrator, but rather than drawing the circles free-hand I use the circle function. I then experiment with changing the colors of the circles, trying both deliberately and randomly chosen colors. Afterwards I conclude that the black Illustrator circles best fit my goals. While working I discover that the work process itself can be said to illustrate several other Buddhist notions; during the final exhibition I show these using printed-out copies of the images and of explanatory texts, as well as by being there in person to explain my design.

Etik kring bilder i annonser har diskuterats mycket, speciellt modell-, ochproduktbilder har kritiserats. Det tycks dock saknas forskning om acceptanskring efterbehandling av landskapsfotografier som ofta används vidmarknadsföring av turistmål. En webbenkätundersökning genomfördes medbildexempel för att undersöka vilken nivå av efterbehandling som ansågsverklighetstrogen, tilltalande och accepterbar i sådana annonser. Slutsatsenblev att fotografier där exponeringen korrigerats för att skapa en tydligare bildvar det mest accepterade. Skillnader i åsikter mellan åldrar, kön, de som haroch inte har tidigare erfarenhet av fotografi och retuschering diskuterades ochdet visade sig att kvinnor och de utan tidigare erfarenhet var lite mer kritiskatill efterbehandling. Det framkom att en del betraktare kan accepteraytterligare efterbehandling om den genomförs för att sälja en specifik känslaoch så länge inte betraktaren kan känna sig vilseledd. / The ethics on pictures in advertising have been widely discussed, especiallymodel, and product photographs have been criticized. There seems to be ashortage of research on acceptance of image processing of landscapephotographs that are often used in advertisements for tourist destinations. Aweb survey with example pictures was conducted to examine what level ofimage processing was deemed life like, appealing and acceptable in those kindsof advertisements. The conclusion was that photographs where the exposurehad been corrected to create a clearer picture was the most acceptable.Differences in opinions between ages, genders and those with or withoutprevious experience about image processing were discussed and it showedthat women were slightly more critical to image processing. Those withprevious experience were generally more okay with image processing. Someviewers accept further processing if it is done to sell a specific feeling and doesnot make the viewer feel mislead.

My artwork is fortified by three essential elements, vibrant color, luminous light, and repeated patterns found in nature. These elements unify my oil paintings and computer generated artwork and form a substructure that serves to magnify the unique concord found in nature.

OBJECTIVES: To determine and compare color difference CIEDE2000 (ΔE00) of pressed IPS E.max lithium disilicate ceramic material after repeated firing cycles. To determine and evaluate correlation of CIELAB and CIEDE2000 values analyzed by X-Rite Color i5 Spectrophotometer, VITA EasyShade® Advance 4.0 (VITA Zahnfabrik) and Adobe Photoshop CC. MATERIALS AND METHODS: 36 specimens 8mmX10mm at 1.5mm thickness (12 specimens of pressed IPS e.max® Press Lithium Disilicate MT Monochromatic ingots and 24 specimens pressed IPS e.max® Multi Press Lithium Disilicate Multichromatic ingots. Specimens were exposed to repeated firing cycles up to 7 cycles. Color analysis was performed after 1st,2nd,3rd,5th, and7th firing cycle. CIE L*a*b* values measured by X-Rite Color i5 Spectrophotometer, VITA EasyShade® Advance 4.0 (VITA Zahnfabrik) and Adobe Photoshop CC. CIELAB (Δ*ab) and CIEDE2000 (Δ00) calculated to measure color difference. RESULTS: Linear regression and multiple comparison analysis (Tukey’s HSD test) showed a significant color difference (Δ*ab) and CIEDE2000 (Δ00) with (p-value <0.001), after multiple firing cycles, between instruments used and in different shades groups. Moreover, significant different in interactive effect between different shades tested by different instrument, different shades tested after multiple firing cycles and different instruments after multiple firing cycles. CONCLUSION: IPS E.max lithium disilicate material shows significant color difference after repeated firing cycle tested by three color analysis instruments. Measuring instruments used to evaluate CIE L*a*b* color values showed significant different in color values analysis which may lead to altered level of interpretation, particularly to determine perceptibility and clinical acceptability thresholds. / 2021-08-15T00:00:00Z

The goal of this work is to create a website for the web agency Wampp Web&amp;Photo. The company is still in the development phase and recently registered in the Swedish Companies Act. Wampp Web&amp;Photo strives for a simple and useful website that includes presentation of the company, information about development of website, presentation of services and also calculator to calculate the cost of services. The graphic profile is important for the company. Pictures with good quality are in focus. For inspiration for the graphic profile and the construction of the application, surveys on the internet among competitors will be performed. During surveys, current prices for services in web development will also be noted. To perform the assignment, the CMS system Umbraco will be used. For the development, the programming language C # and development environment Visual Studio are used. The site should be built up to enable easy maintenance and updates. Unsplash and photo session are used for images. Great focus will be placed on the development of the calculator. It is important that the function is easy to use and works without errors. Calculator will be of help to customers and the company. Usability tests and other tests will be performed to check the website's functionality and usability. The work ends with the launch of the website in Umbraco Cloud. If the need for adjustments exists after tests, these are performed. / Målet med detta arbete är att skapa hemsida till webbyrå Wampp Web&amp;Photo. Företaget är fortfarande i utvecklingsfas och nyligen registrerad i bolagsverket. Wampp Web&amp;Photo eftersträvar en enkel och användbar hemsida som inkluderar presentation av företaget, information om utveckling av hemsida, presentation av tjänster och även kalkylator för att räkna ut kostnaden för tjänster. Den grafiska profilen är viktig för företaget. Bilder med bra kvalitet står i fokus. För inspiration till grafiska profilen och uppbyggnaden av applikationen, kommer undersökningar på internet bland konkurrenter utföras. Under undersökningar kommer även aktuella priser för tjänster inom webbutveckling noteras. För att utföra uppdraget kommer CMS systemet Umbraco användas. För utvecklingen används programmeringsspråket C# och utvecklingsmiljö Visual Studio. Sidan kommer att byggas så att den möjliggör enkel underhåll och uppdateringar. För bilder används Unsplash och fotosession. Stor fokus kommer att läggas på utvecklingen av kalkylator. Det är viktigt att funktionen är smidig att använda och fungerar utan felaktigheter. Kalkylator kommer att vara till hjälp för kunder och företaget. Användbarhetstester och andra tester kommer att utföras för att kontrollera webbsidans funktionalitet och användbarhet. Arbetet avslutas med lansering av hemsidan i Umbraco Cloud. Efter tester utförs eventuella justeringar.
