A educação e a formação de atitudes que envolvam valores morais / Education and training the attitudes involving moral values

O presente trabalho, pautado na análise de textos de autores que se ocuparam ou não da educação como tema, retoma a antiga e sempre atual questão do ensino das atitudes morais. Nesta discussão, indicam-se dois elementos que podem enriquecer e até contribuir decisivamente para esse ensino a virtude e a reflexão filosófica. De saída, questionam-se os discursos que objetivam construir atitudes morais, sobretudo com base no exame de seus possíveis significados para aqueles a quem se dirigem. Embora apoiado exclusivamente na bibliografia consultada, este trabalho encontrou indicações de que a assimilação de algo que é externo pode ser mais proveitosa e dotada de significado quando existe um tempo para entendê-lo, analisá-lo e enfim absorvê-lo. Analogamente, a repetição reiterada de uma atitude pode ser ressignificada se essas repetições forem entremeadas por momentos de reflexão. Neste contexto, complementa-se a idéia de virtude fazendo-a sempre acompanhar de reflexão atenta e argumentação rigorosa, como convém às disposições e ações que demandam atualização permanente. O trabalho envolve também questões relativas ao conceito de ensino, procura delimitar os limites tênues entre moral e ética e tece algumas reflexões sobre a virtude. Finalmente, sustenta a idéia de uma crença alicerçada em fundamentos filosóficos e encerra-se com algumas observações sobre como a escola pode atuar a partir destas formulações. / This paper , based on the analysis of texts by authors who are not occupied or education as its theme , incorporates ancient and ever present issue of the teaching of moral attitudes . In this discussion , indicate are two elements that can enhance and even contribute decisively to this teaching virtue and philosophical reflection . Output , is the question discourses that aim at building moral attitudes , particularly based on the examination of its possible meanings for those to whom they are addressed . Although supported exclusively found in the literature , this study found indications that the assimilation of something that is external can be more profitable and endowed with meaning when there is a time to understand it , analyze it and finally absorb it . Similarly , the repeated repetition of an attitude can be re-signified whether these repeats are interspersed with moments of reflection . In this context, it complements the idea of making a virtue always follow careful and rigorous reasoning reflection, as befits the provisions and actions that require constant updating . The work also involves issues relating to the concept of education , aims at defining the tenuous boundaries between morals and ethics and offers some reflections on virtue . Finally, it supports the idea of a grounded in philosophical foundations and ends with some observations on how the school can act from these formulations belief.

No entanto, como professor de matemática da rede estadual de ensino de São Paulo desde 2005, entendo nos diálogos com os colegas professores de Matemática e nos resultados das avaliações, sejam internas ou externas, que a estrutura do material oferecido ainda deixa lacunas que dificultam o ensino de matrizes. O presente trabalho pretende utilizar o software GeoGebra como principal agregador de teoria e prática, com foco no estudo de transformações geométricas. Além disso, serão apresentadas aplicações de matrizes na computação gráfica e imagens digitais. Outro ponto relevante é a proposta diferenciada de resolução de situações de aprendizagem contidas no material de apoio ao currículo do Estado de São Paulo. Também serão elaboradas atividades sobre transformações geométricas. Essas atividades serão aplicadas como pesquisa a um grupo de alunos do Ensino Médio. Dessa forma, pretende-se não descartar o material didático existente, mas sim enriquecer e aprimorar as práticas pedagógicas em sala de aula, transformando um material muitas vezes rejeitado em uma poderosa fonte de conhecimento que oferece aos professores e alunos do ensino médio uma alternativa que amplia a perspectiva de Matriz de forma eficiente e significativa. / The matrices are object of study in Basic Education and Higher Education, but, although they are related to several applications in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Graphics, and Economics, for example, in High School are approached superficially, mechanically and subjectively. In 2008, the curricular proposal of the State of São Paulo tried to change this scenario by associating the study of matrices with geometric codifications and transformations. However, as a professor of mathematics at the São Paulo state education network since 2005, I understand in the dialogues with my fellow mathematics teachers and in the results of the evaluations, whether internal or external, that the structure of the material offered still leaves gaps that make it difficult to Teaching of matrices. The present work intends to use GeoGebra software as the main aggregator of theory and practice, focusing on the study of geometric transformations. In addition, matrix applications will be presented in computer graphics and digital images. Another relevant point is the differentiated proposal for solving learning situations contained in the curriculum support material of the State of São Paulo. Also will be elaborated activities on geometric transformations. These activities will be applied as research to a group of high school students. Thus, it is intended not to discard existing teaching material, but rather to enrich and improve pedagogical practices in the classroom, transforming an often rejected material into a powerful source of knowledge that offers teachers and high school students an alternative that Extends the matrix perspective efficiently and significantly.

The theme of the thesis is an analysis of processes 3 different projects that are implemented under the Cohesion Policy. Attention will be paid to the issue of project preparation, analysis of processes, which are essential components for the preparation of project applications, showing the most important methods and tools used in managing the process of design. The content of this thesis is the identification of possible critical moments, which can be an important factor influencing the success of the selection and implementation of individual projects. All the above components of the processes should be used to create applications for financial support from EU structural funds. A consistent process of preparing a project application is an condition for planned project to have a real chance to be selected from a number of other projects that are submitted within the announced calls. After a successful project assessment selected project receives financial support from European funds for its implementation.

The thesis is inquiring into the theory of construction contract management process. The current contract procedure is demonstrated on real life example of the Joint-stock construction company Stavcent. The aim of the thesis is to explore the procedure implemented during contract management process followed by proposal of possible innovations in this area. The research is as usual divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part introduces the selected topic. The practical part presents the Stavcent, JSC at first, followed by description of single phases of the construction contract; beginning with record keeping, preparation of the offer, budget, timetable, selection and evaluation of suppliers and subcontractors, inventory administration and finally invoicing. The conclusion of the practical part is devoted to possible future innovations in contract management.

O futebol produz paisagens em vários locais, independente de suas origens ou localização geográfica, entre estes locais, está a escola. Este trabalho discute a temática do futebol na produção de paisagens e no ensino de Geografia. Através do futebol e a partir da noção do conceito de paisagem, produzida e reproduzida nos simbolismos das práticas culturais, nesta dissertação são problematizadas as imagens veiculadas na mídia sobre futebol e investiga-se em que medida os alunos compreendem a produção das paisagens através do futebol. A dissertação apresenta reflexões da paisagem do futebol, procurando mostrar a partir do solo teórico da Geografia Cultural, que há vários simbolismos nestas paisagens inscritas no espaço geográfico. Diante disso, analisa-se as formas e os valores que as paisagens deste esporte vêm adquirindo e que possibilitam que os alunos tenham compreensão diversificada da e na paisagem. Utiliza-se como ferramentas teóricas os conceitos de paisagem, identidade, consumismo para analisar o material empírico desta pesquisa. Este compreende atividades didáticas com imagens, reportagens e vídeos, construção de textos, e elaboração de desenhos e questionários sobre as discussões geradas em aulas por alunos do ensino fundamental de uma escola pública. Os resultados desta pesquisa apontam para a importância dos estádios de futebol como elemento matriz no simbolismo para produção das paisagens desse esporte. Os dados confirmam que as paisagens geradas pelo futebol incentivam os alunos a realizarem investimentos constantes para se manterem torcedores atrativos e desejáveis. Também, o futebol destaca-se como um importante elemento na formação da identidade dos alunos, que pode relacionar-se às paisagens e ao consumo. Assim, foi possível analisar sobre a presença do futebol no cotidiano dos alunos, de forma a produzir paisagens, principalmente através dos valores simbólicos vinculados ao esporte que se manifestam nas paisagens, seja em locais próximos ou distantes dos alunos. Neste contexto, a mídia apresenta-se como uma importante forma de influenciar os alunos em relação aos simbolismos das paisagens, na formação de identidades e no consumo relacionado ao futebol. Com as atividades conseguiu-se analisar com os alunos as paisagens produzidas pelo futebol e proporcionar a reflexão sobre as mesmas. / Football produces landscapes in several places, regardless of origins or geographic localization schools are included in such venues. This study approaches the theme of football in the production of landscapes along with teaching Geography. Through football and through the concept of landscape, produced and reproduced on symbols of cultural practices, this dissertation discusses the images disclosed by the media about football and investigates how the production of images through football are perceived by students. The research presents reflections on the landscape of football and seeks to show, based on the theory of Cultural Geography, that there are several symbolisms on the landscapes registered on the geographic space. From this, an analysis on the forms and values the landscapes of this sport have acquired is offered, as well as how they allow students to understand landscape in a diversified way. Theoretical tools comprise the concepts of landscape, identity, and consumption to analyze the empirical material of this study. Activities of analyses included work with images, news articles and videos, writing, drawing, and designing questionnaires about the discussions that took place in class among elementary students of a public school. The results of this research point to the importance of football stadiums as a matrix element in the symbolism for the production of landscapes of this sport. The data confirm that landscapes generated by football encourage students to spend money constantly in order to keep being attractive and desirable supporters. Also, football stands out as an important element to shape up students‟ personalities, factor that may be related to landscapes and consumerism. Thus, it was possible to analyze the presence of football in students‟ everyday, in a fashion that it produces landscapes, mainly through the symbolic values linked to the sport that are expressed on landscapes, on places that are either close or far from them. In this context, the media represents an important way of influencing students about the symbolisms of the landscapes, the formation of identities, and consumption related to football. Based on the activities, it was possible to analyze along with students the landscapes produced by football and, therefore, offer a moment to reflect about them.

It has been investigated how the non formal education and the educational practices happen at the Padre Ludovico Redin Youth Center in the city of Realeza State of Paraná. It characterizes as case study all the writings that consider the education as possibility of social transformation written by Freire (1997), Gohn (2001 and 2010), Caro and Guzzo (2004), Fernandes and Park (2005), Cendales and Mariño (2006), Libâneo (2007), Park, Fernandes and Carnicel (2007) Ghanem & Trilha (2008) and Saviani (2013). It has been presented the work field with the specifications and basic principles of formal, informal and non formal education. The data collection for the research has been dealt through semi structured interviews with the current coordinator of the institution, with the city hall education secretary and with a psychologist, who was responsible for two workshops developed at the institution as well throw the observation in loco of the political pedagogical proposal and the description of the main activities developed in 2014. All further data of the research were collected throw questionnaires with the students, parents and professionals and/or teachers of the Padre Ludovico Redin Youth Center, pointing out possible contributions on non formal education and the educational practice in the students development. Through the research has been established relation between non formal education and educational practice of the Youth Center, besides the possible contributions in the adolescents and children development. / A modalidade de educação não formal compõe o objeto principal desta pesquisa, desenvolvida no Programa de Mestrado em Educação, na Unioeste - Campus Francisco Beltrão. Nela investigamos como ocorre a modalidade de educação não formal e a prática educativa do Centro Juvenil Padre Ludovico Redin no município de Realeza PR. Caracteriza-se como estudo de caso, que se liga aos escritos de Freire (1997), Gohn (2001 e 2010), Caro e Guzzo (2004), Fernandes e Park (2005), Cendales e Mariño (2006), Libâneo (2007), Park, Fernandes e Carnicel (2007), Ghanem & Trilha (2008) e Saviani (2013) que, em comum, consideram a educação enquanto possibilidade de transformação social. Apresentamos o campo de atuação com as especificidades e princípios fundamentais da educação formal, informal e não formal. A coleta de dados da pesquisa foi conduzida por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas com a coordenadora atual da instituição Centro Juvenil Padre Ludovico Redin, com a Secretária Municipal de Educação do município de Realeza e com um psicólogo, este responsável por duas oficinas desenvolvidas na instituição e também por meio de observação in loco, da análise da Proposta Político-pedagógica e da descrição das principais atividades desenvolvidas no ano de 2014. Os demais dados da pesquisa foram coletados através de questionários com alunos, pais e profissionais e/ou professores do Centro Juvenil Padre Ludovico Redin, apontando possíveis contribuições da modalidade em educação não formal e da prática educativa no desenvolvimento dos alunos. Através da pesquisa desenvolvida estabelecemos relação entre a modalidade de educação não formal e a prática educativa do Centro Juvenil Padre Ludovico Redin, além de fazer constar possíveis contribuições no desenvolvimento de crianças e adolescentes.

Performance Evaluation of Object Proposal Generators for Salient Object Detection

abstract: The detection and segmentation of objects appearing in a natural scene, often referred to as Object Detection, has gained a lot of interest in the computer vision field. Although most existing object detectors aim to detect all the objects in a given scene, it is important to evaluate whether these methods are capable of detecting the salient objects in the scene when constraining the number of proposals that can be generated due to constraints on timing or computations during execution. Salient objects are objects that tend to be more fixated by human subjects. The detection of salient objects is important in applications such as image collection browsing, image display on small devices, and perceptual compression. This thesis proposes a novel evaluation framework that analyses the performance of popular existing object proposal generators in detecting the most salient objects. This work also shows that, by incorporating saliency constraints, the number of generated object proposals and thus the computational cost can be decreased significantly for a target true positive detection rate (TPR). As part of the proposed framework, salient ground-truth masks are generated from the given original ground-truth masks for a given dataset. Given an object detection dataset, this work constructs salient object location ground-truth data, referred to here as salient ground-truth data for short, that only denotes the locations of salient objects. This is obtained by first computing a saliency map for the input image and then using it to assign a saliency score to each object in the image. Objects whose saliency scores are sufficiently high are referred to as salient objects. The detection rates are analyzed for existing object proposal generators with respect to the original ground-truth masks and the generated salient ground-truth masks. As part of this work, a salient object detection database with salient ground-truth masks was constructed from the PASCAL VOC 2007 dataset. Not only does this dataset aid in analyzing the performance of existing object detectors for salient object detection, but it also helps in the development of new object detection methods and evaluating their performance in terms of successful detection of salient objects. / Dissertation/Thesis / Masters Thesis Electrical Engineering 2019

Perception and practice in art, craft, and design : an in-service proposal

The intention of this study is to examine the role of art, craft, and design education in primary and secondary curricula, to outline from a personal viewpoint what is actually happening in the ACT system of education, to suggest reasons for what is happening, and to make recommendations for improving art, craft, and design education in ACT schools. The study begins by exploring definitional problems, and examines a range of views on the nature of art and design before establishing the definitions upon which the ideological framework of the study is based. The relationship between art, craft, and design is discussed, including what they have in common and where they are essentially and significantly different. It is argued that there are major misconceptions about the nature of art, craft, and design and their role in education at primary and secondary level, and there are perceptual barriers which inhibit the ability of educators and the community to overcome these misconceptions. They include: The failure of the majority of art, craft, and design educators, at all levels, both to define their terms and to develop and articulate a defensible philosophy which demonstrates the importance of these areas of education to our community and to our culture and The failure of the majority of educators outside these specialist areas but in positions which require them to make or influence decisions which shape the educational experiences, values, and future lives of children in their care, to inform themselves about the role of art, craft, and design in education, or to seek and act on informed advice. Supported by visual material, a justification for art, craft, and design in the curricula of schools is based on ways in which we learn to understand the world by interpreting information obtained through the senses, forming concepts, and expressing and communicating ideas, thoughts, and feelings in various forms of communication including visual representations. The way we interpret information is influenced by our environment, learning, and experiences. The study outlines the structure of the ACT system of education, and discusses possibilities and limitations for art, craft, and design education in schools within this context. Uninformed perceptions are identified as a major barrier to change. A proposal for long term in-service in art, craft, and design education for primary and secondary teachers is discussed. The proposal is based on a holistic approach, with courses grouped as related but independent units, each capable of further division into modules. When developed the in-service proposal was a response to perceived needs at both primary and secondary levels of education, current educational values, existing economic restraints, and existing resources. The progress of the proposal is traced from its inception in 1977 to its demise in 1983. The study concludes by reflecting on major issues, proposing the need for informed and powerful leadership, and offering a wide range of recommendations for future action.

Dagens revisionsberättelse : i behov av förändring?

<p>Dagens revisionsberättelse har förändrats ett flertal gånger genom åren. Det var i och med Kreugerkraschen på 1930-talet som det började ske förändringar på revisionsområdet. Därefter har lagstiftningen uppdaterats kontinuerligt under åren och detta har lett till att revisionsberättelsen ändrat utformning och innehåll. Det senaste förslaget på förändring av revisionsberättelsen kom under hösten år 2007 från FAR/SRS. Förslaget går ut på att betygsätta olika områden för ett företag och presentera detta i revisionsberättelsen. De frågeställningar som vi ville ha besvarade med vår undersökning var om dagens utformning av revisionsberättelsen är tillfredsställande för intressentgruppen kreditgivarna, som var vårt avgränsade undersökningsobjekt. Vi ville även ta reda på vilka attityder de har till faktorerna i det framtagna förslaget, och om det finns fler områden som de skulle vilja ha värderade. Vårt syfte med undersökningen var att skapa en modell utifrån det resultat vi fått fram från empirin. För att samla in vårt empiriska material har vi genomfört fyra intervjuer med fyra olika bankkontor, vi har därmed använt oss av kvalitativ undersökningsmetod. Innan vi genomförde våra intervjuer hade vi gjort en analysmodell med antaganden, som vi sedan prövade empiriskt genom att genomföra intervjuerna. Det vi kom fram till med vår empiriska undersökning är att kreditgivarna inte är helt nöjda med dagens utformning av revisionsberättelsen. Majoriteten ansåg att det vore bättre med en mer informationsgivande revisionsberättelse, med kommentarer från revisorn. Vi kom även fram till att det är bättre att skapa kategorier som revisorn kan ge omdömen inom, istället för att plocka ut specifika faktorer som ska betygsättas. Vi skapade därefter en modell med de kategorier vi kom fram till: skötseln inom företaget, värderingar, framtidsfaktorer och övrigt.</p> / <p>The present auditor´s report has been through many changes over the years. Due to the Kreugercrash in the 1930s changes started to appear in the audit profession. After that the legislation has been updated continuous during the years and has led to changes in the auditor´s report. The latest proposal of changing the auditor´s report came as a suggestion from FAR/SRS during the autumn in 2007. The idea of the proposal is to grade different parts of a company and present the results in the auditor´s report. The questions we wanted to be answered with this essay were if the present auditor´s report is satisfactory for the lenders. We also wanted to know which attitudes the lenders have to the factors in the proposal, and if there are more parts to be valued. Our purpose with this essay is to create a model from the results of our interviews. The empirical material is based on four interviews with four different banks, in that way we have used a qualitative method. Before we did our interviews we created an analyzing model with assumptions, to test empirical. The results of our empirical investigation were that the lenders are not completely satisfied with the present auditor´s report. The majority considers it to be better with more information in the auditor´s report, and also comments from the auditor. We came to the conclusion that it would be better to create categories with opinions from the auditor, instead of grade specific factors. With these categories we created a model, the categories are: the care of the company, valuation, future prospects and others.</p>
