XXII SELL studentų žaidynių dalyvių požiūris į sporto psichologiją / XXII SELL student games participants’ attitude towards sports psychology consulting

Bielskutė, Edita 16 August 2007 (has links)
[toliau žr. visą tekstą] / Interest in sports psychology has been growing in Lithuania in recent years. However, most people still do not understand what sports psychology is and its significance to sportsmen. Therefore, psychological support is not considered important in preparing sportsmen. Although trainers do provide the psychological support, they usually do it intuitively and irregularly. Meanwhile the sportsmen accept their trainers’ support and rarely seek for help of sports psychologists. Thus, it is important to find out an attitude of the sportsmen themselves towards sports psychology and efficiency and usefulness of consultations provided by the sports psychologist. The aim of this research is to find out the attitude of student sportsmen towards the sports psychology. The object of the research is the attitude of student sportsmen towards the sports psychology. Basing on the S. B. Martin methodology of the Provisions of Sports Psychology (the specified form) 126 sportsmen who participated in the SELL Student Games 2006 in Estonia were interviewed. 24 participants were from Finland, 24 from Estonia, 38 from Latvia and 40 from Lithuania; 83 men and 43 women. In order to estimate the attitude of the student sportsmen, we found out the level of tolerance in respect of the sports psychology, reliance on the sports psychologist, the level of personal openness and the attitude towards people of other ethnic groups, culture and race. We also found out whether sex, nationality, education, the... [to full text]

Parenting plans : the development of substantive guidelines for professionals / by Tanya Marie Robinson

Robinson, Tanya Marie January 2010 (has links)
Parenting plans are a new concept for professionals in South Africa working in the field of divorce. Emphasis has been placed on the development of parenting plans by including the concept of parenting plans in section 33 of the Children’s Act 38 of 2005. Professionals are now confronted with formulating adequate parenting plans which are focussed on the best interest standard of the child(ren) and that will assist the family with its functioning post–divorce. The aim of this research was to develop substantive guidelines that can assist the professional in drafting parenting plans. To achieve this aim, the following objectives guided the study: * To provide the legal context of parenting plans in South Africa. A legal context of parenting plans in South Africa is discussed by way of a literature study through an intensive analysis and critical discussion on a number of legal instruments pertaining to children, such as the Children’s Act 38 of 2005; the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996; the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child (ACRWC). * To ascertain the views of mental health professionals (social workers and psychologists) and legal professionals (attorneys and family advocates) with regard to the divorcing family and parenting plans. The views of mental health professionals and legal professionals with regard to the divorcing family in respect of parenting plans were established. Professionals completed an electronic questionnaire that consisted of open questions to establish their views. Further telephonic interviews with the professionals were facilitated to gain further insight into the professional view points on the issue of divorcing families and parenting plans. * To ascertain the needs of the divorcing family (parents and child(ren)) and to present these needs in the structuring of a parenting plan. The needs of the divorcing family (parents and child(ren)) were established through an explorative approach by means of a document study and electronic questionnaires that were completed by the family members. Through this exploration the researcher obtained an understanding of the needs of the divorcing family related to parenting plans. * To provide professionals with comprehensive and clear guidelines on the basic structure and general content of a parenting plan. Comprehensive and clear guidelines on the basic structure and general content of a parenting plan were constructed for professionals working in this area, based on findings of articles 1, 2 and 3 of this research. The researcher also relied on her background and training as a qualified social worker to construct these guidelines. It was concluded that professionals are not necessarily well equipped to structure high quality parenting plans. Guidelines ought to assist the professionals to structure plans that are well organised, practical, child–centred, developmentally appropriate, and representative of the divorcing family needs. The researcher believes that as parenting plans are obligatory for parents that divorce, there is a need for South African research on this subject matter. This study is a contribution in the research field as to assist the professionals with the task of compiling parenting plans for the divorcing family. In addition this study adds value to the forensic field by setting guidelines on the structuring of parenting plans that empower the professional to work in this challenging field. / Thesis (Ph.D. (Social Work))--North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus, 2011.

Educational psychology in higher education: Current scene in Portugal / La psicología educativa en la educación superior: la situación actual en Portugal

Bisinoto, Cynthia, Marinho, Claisy, Almeida, Leandro da Silva 25 September 2017 (has links)
Facing the challenges brought by Higher Education growth, the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) created the Psychological Support Services. They seek to help the adaptation to the university setting, enhancing the overall students´ development and their integration in the labor market. This qualitative research studies the structure of the Psychological Support Services in HEIs of Portugal and the main activities developed by educational psychologists. Interviews were conducted with eight services and showed that all services are designed for students. Although the most frequent activity is the students' psychological consultation, educational psychologists also develop a variety of interventions: skill development programs, support to students with special needs, and mentoring programs to welcome new students. Traditionally the services were oriented by an individual intervention and in response to the students' problem. Nowadays they are working with other agents and in a preventive way. Actions directed to educational projects and the institutional evaluation could promote a qualitative change in services.

So it is considered as a theoretical reference, various official documents about the public policies for social assistance and others that provide parameters for the work of psychologists in the CREAS, as well as studies on the Clinic of the Activity without being excluded from the collaboration of other clinics such as the Psychodynamic of the Work, and also the knowledge of the Ergonomics. The investigations aims to analyze the official and/or not official documents, until then existing, that guide the actions of the psychologists in the field of welfare policies, specifically in the CREAS, and to know the actions taken by the psychologists in carrying out their work activities, by favoring the psychologists a process of interpretation of their activities and the impact of their work within the centers where they carry out their activities. For this research, methodological investigating arrangements of work situations are adopted based on the analysis of the work context of an approach of the resources of the simple autoconfrontation method and the method of the instructions for the double. The use of these resources, which is based on a study of observations and interviews with the psychologists involved in the municipality examined, was the way envisioned to account for the reality of the workplace and their professionals chosen. It is possible to understand the various dimensions that involve the activity of these professionals, and it is found that the collective of psychologists inserted in the specific CREAS is fragmented due to the difficulty of sharing experiences and implements. However, these psychologists still find, in the activities they perform, creating spaces, construction of meaning and pleasure achievements. This study has the merit to initiate a process of theoretical and empirical production of information that sought to contribute to a better understanding of the role of the psychologist in the CREAS, generating considerations that guided the maturation of the discussions on the role of a professional in a new area for the actions of Psychology. It is expected that, from here, firmer guidelines to make the psychologist may arise at this institution so as to guide the activities of professionals, their selection, evaluation of their actions and the development of skills more consistent with the reality of the work. Similarly, it is expected that new debates arise in order to make think, even of academic records of training psychology professionals, so that it can meet the demands imposed by these new workplaces for the psychologist, as well as the users of these services.

Rodrigues, Patrícia Matte 15 March 2017 (has links)
Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / Some studies indicate a misbalance between the practices developed by primary health care psychologists and the specific demands of this context. Those studies point out to a mere transposition of the traditional model of clinic, without the proper contextualization that this area requests, besides some difficulties in teamwork. Thus, it is understood that psychology faces a challenge in qualifying its training in order to perform accordingly to the principles of the Brazilian Health Care System (SUS). Towards this challenge, psychology has found in the Multiprofessional Residencies in Health Care an opportunity of a training, which is diverse from that offered in undergraduate courses, that aims to qualify its practices for the work in public health care. Based on that, this research aimed to acknowledge the professional practices of psychologists who are part of a Multiprofessional Residency in Health Care Program, in the context of primary health care. Therefore, it was conducted a qualitative and exploratory research. The data collection was performed with semi-structured interviews. After the transcription of the interviews, data analysis followed the content analysis technique. The participants were eight psychology residents in the programs of Multiprofessional Residency Programs of two higher education institutes, from the city of Porto Alegre, Brazil. The results were discussed in three articles. The first article discussed the value granted to the Residency as an area of learning, which had given the psychologists the possibility of experiencing knowledge and daily situations found in SUS’ context, allowing mistakes, innovations and the construction and reformulation of ideas. There were discussed aspects related to the workload and the relationship between residents and health care team. The second article focused on the undergraduate training in psychology for working in primary health care. The results showed important movements of approximation between the psychology undergraduate courses and themes such as SUS, Community Health and Public Policies. In addition, it was pointed out to the importance of professors who are identified with the SUS’s proposals, as well as the value given to the discipline of groups as an important tool for the practice of psychologists in primary health care. The third article reported a significant change in the way that the psychology residents have conceived the psychologist’s role in primary health care. Such comprehension, not restricted to intra-individual aspects, drives to expanded and interdisciplinary practices. However, it was emphasized the charge for individual appointments and the large demand for the area of psychology. Based on the data obtained by the three articles, it was concluded that the Residency has enabled psychologists to experiment and create, which has been supporting the construction of practices more aligned to the principles of primary health care, overcoming the mere transposition of practices.

Ribeiro, Sérgio Luiz. January 2007 (has links)
