We begin the dissertation with a chapter dedicated to theoretical foundation, which is based on Marxism and its critical and totalizing perspective, going against the post-structuralist hegemony with its micro vision of the social. Still in this tuning fork we work with the concept of a regime of accumulation within a theory about the mode of production of capitalist production, in order to understand the historical context of the last decades of the twentieth century. In the warp of the first chapter we also devoted some lines to explaining the sociological theory of cinema used in research, here materialized in the form of a dissertation; including what we consider to be fundamental in a film, which is the film message, where the feelings, interests, political positions, etc., of the team that produces the cinematographic work are expressed. The second chapter is a panoramic flight on the history of the regime of integral accumulation, we start from the concept and then we make a historical-sociological study on the world-wide and American reality of the sixties, seventy and eighty of the twentieth century. In the third chapter we have the analysis of the movie Blade Runner. We start from its realization, from production, and then analyze its social critique of capitalism, in view of a totalizing look at social relations that are in concrete reality and expressed in the film as consumerism, exploitation of labor, individualism, destruction the environment and neoliberalism. All encompassed by a dystopian and pessimistic perspective on capitalism in the age of integral accumulation.

Experimental Investigation of Hydrodynamic Effects on a Vibrating Kaplan Runner

Hedlund, Jakob January 2017 (has links)
An experimental investigation of a vibrating Kaplan turbine runner was performed in order to understand the hydrodynamic effects and to obtain or confirm the mass and damping coefficients used for dimensioning at the design stage. Improved design can lead to increased efficiency and lifetime of hydropower stations. The method was based on the 90◦ phase shift between acceleration and velocity and their relationship with mass and damping respectively. The experiment examined frequencies between 1–9 Hz at displacements between 0.25–2.00 mm. Results showed a frequency dependent added mass which varied between 1.2 and 1.5 (neglecting the highest and lowest frequencies) and an added damping between 0.8 and 1.2 which became of importance at low frequencies. A mathematical interpretation of the fluid solid interactions (based on the constitutive equation for stresses in a Newtonian fluid) has been derived and connected to the obtained experimental data.

Výroba kroužku Pall / Pall Ring Manufacturing

Wajda, Jakub January 2018 (has links)
The project elaborated design of injection mould with a cold runner system for a creation of component type Pall ring made of polypropylene. Pursuant to of the literary pursuit a problem, the injection technology has been selected as the most suitable method of manufacturing. The proportions of the component along with the placement of the parting line determined the creation process of shaped cavity. The quantity of a manufacturing batch specified two-cavity as the most advantageous variant. The calculation of vent channel’s measurements, the choice of befitting injection machine and a basic simulations had been conducted. The economic part of the thesis has confirmed the suitability of usage cold runner system instead of hot runner system.

Versioner av en berättelse : En narratologisk analys av Blade Runner / Versions of a story : A narrative analysis of Blade Runner

Skoting, Joel January 2020 (has links)
The purpose of this essay is to describe and examine the different versions of the 1982 movie Blade Runner. How these versions vary in question of narrative, theme, tone and message is a focal point of this essay. Of special interest is how these relate to our reality regarding political or philosphical views. The conclusion of this study is that the same core ideas and messages remain throughout the different versions of Blade Runner. However, the ways in which these ideas are presented vary, as does the tone of certain scenes. Through some censoring and editing, some themes are affected and are not as easily identified in all versions of the film. Some of these relate to symbolism through symbolic violence and how humans affect their environment. Other central themes relate to discrimination towards minorities and existential themes and questions. In conclusion: Blade Runner is a complex and topical movie which shifts in tone and theme depending on which version you view.

Development of a new rotational angle selector attachment for tightening tools / Utveckling av ett nytt rotationsvinkelfäste för åtdragningsverktyg

Banerjee, Moinak, Kulkarni, Sanket January 2019 (has links)
The design solution for angle selector attachment is developed and carry forward based on initial case study done by KTH Södertäjle students. This project is carried out to find the answers for few questions viz. potential concept design solution, considering the requirements given by Scania that needs to be fulfilled. The work is divided into sub-categories; Concept generation, Concept evaluation, Manufacturing of prototype and Testing. The existing tool solution data is used to compare results with new design while testing and analysing the results. The results show that with the help of new design, it is possible to achieve seamless rotation, locking with I/O signal, can hold torque up to 200 Nm and safety measures are also taken into account. So based on this, new proposition to change the way of tightening with angle selector is given in truck assembly line.

Lemieux, Simon 06 1900 (has links)
. . vn+1} distincts il existe pour tout k ∈ {1,2,3, . . . / The lonely runner conjecture was formulated by J.M. Wills en (1972) and Thomas Cusick (1973). If ∥·∥ denotes the distance from integers, for x ∈ R ∥x∥ = mink∈Z(|x − k|), this conjecture is asking whether or not for any set of n + 1 distinct real numbers {v1,v2 . . . vn+1} and for any k ∈ {1,2,3 . . . ,n + 1} there is a time t ∈ R such that for any other speed vi,i ̸= k we have ∥t(vi − vk)∥ ≥ 1 n+1 . It has been proven to be true for n + 1 ≤ 7 , the last case n + 1 = 7 was shown by Barajas and Serra in 2007. Many authors have wrote about this subject each bringing more knowledge. In this thesis, there will be an exposure on different techniques that have been used to prove the cases for n + 1 ≤ 7, differents cases in wich the conjecture holds and the problem of getting better lower bounds for the gap of loneliness.
