Apologie mistra úniků / The Escapologist Case

Zupanc Lotker, Sodja January 2017 (has links)
ZUPANC LOTKER, Sodja. The Escapologist Case: Transformations of Practice Towards Spatial Dramaturgy in Contemporary Theatre, PhD dissertation, Theatre Faculty of the Prague Academy of the Performing Arts, Prague 2017, 226 pages. This thesis aims to define a contemporary theatre practice, a new practice in dramaturgy influenced by some radical changes in theater since the 1980’s, I call this new practice ‘spatial dramaturgy,’ it includes: 1) a decentralization and fragmentation of narrative; 2) performing in found spaces; 3) using authentic material for creation of performance (space, community or events); and 4) physical and mental activation of audiences. My primary case study for spatial dramaturgy is Apology of the Escapologist performance by Hungarian Krétakör company from 2009, a performance that also marked a change in theatre making practice for this company. Apology of the Escapologist took audiences through eight separate spaces, with a variety of functions (a garage, hospital, offices, public square etc.), originally none of them built for theatre, in a series of events that took place in Budapest District 9 over the course of eight weeks from March 8th to May 1st, 2009. The Apology of the Escapologist performance had five parts consisting of eight scenes. The performance took place over the course of nine weeks in eight locations; each scene took place in a different location on a different day. The audience had to make sense of the fragmented story, had to choose how to follow the story physically - where and when to go, and had to dedicate a lot of time to do this. The audience also physically entered into the playing spaces. This thesis follows the project and proposes that contemporary theatre is a ‘shared space’ entered by audiences, that contemporary dramaturgy is becoming de-hierarchized and decentralized and is proposing forms of relating in-between the dramaturgical elements of the performance, and that by using authentic material (people, spaces, events), through this ‘spatial dramaturgy’ theatre is proposing new ways to perceive relationships between reality and fiction. This thesis also describes the political motivation behind the change in Krétakör’s work and focus. It provides background information about the situation in politics in Hungary at the time of the making of the Apology of the Escapologist that caused Árpád Schilling change the way he makes theatre. But it also looks at these new strategies of ‘spatial dramaturgy,’ that include: points of view, positioning and relating - as strategies that politicize the act and experience of theatre.

Wiklund Wallderin, Andreas January 2021 (has links)
Multiple studies have shown that organizational learning have a positive effect on military organizations. This is especially true in contemporary warfare, where cyber and information warfare increases to influence modern warfare means and methods. To counter this, it is important that the processes of organizational learning is functional and allows innovations to change what soldiers learn, to better equip them for the conflict of the future.   This essay analyses the Swedish army’s policy documents regarding organizational learning and solider education to expose barriers described by Schilling et.al., which might hinder processes within organizational learning. The purpose of the study is thus to show how policy documents influences organizational learning by enabling or hindering this process.  The results show that many of the barriers described by Schilling et.al is covered and adequately handled within the policy documents of the army, but not all of them. Most notable is the army’s attitude towards the technological development regarding warfare, which is said to risk making innovation from past experiences obsolete, hindering the innovation's path through the organization and thus risk that useful innovations are discarded which in turn can lead to risks in a presumptive conflict.

Lesbische Repräsentationin der polnischen Literatur nach 1989

Pisharek, Janine 05 May 2023 (has links)

Mill, Jessie January 2008 (has links) (PDF)

Silva, Diego Scherer da January 2014 (has links)
This dissertation builds the biography of Brazilian Flavia Schilling (1953-) from her childhood, through her exile in Uruguay in 1964, until her return to Brazil in 1980. Its main objective is to reconstruct part of the trajectory of Flavia and, in terms broader and more abstract problematize through her biography, the forms of the constitution of the individual in history, seeking answers to questions such as: how is the construction of the individual - for themselves and for each other? How is your identity? Which elements, choices and constraints need to be analyzed in this process? It is intended, therefore, to rethink and discuss how the individual may be perceived by many that the optics are and how it interacts - actively and passively - with the environment they live in, and here more specifically, relating it to the period of dictatorships national security in Latin America. Exile, the activists, underground, imprisonment and release of that campaign character along with dictatorships began with the civilian-military coup in Brazil in 1964 and Uruguay in 1973, are themes explored throughout this research.
