This work is about the line of research of Educational Policy and Management and it investigates the contributions of Anísio Teixeira for the organization of the Brazilian public school. The purposes that guided the research focused on knowing the trajectory of this teacher the philosophical assumptions that supported the reforms he has engaged with a view to reorganizing the school and teacher training. We walked this way to show the organization of the Anisianas schools and know the role of the teacher in this perspective. This is a bibliographic / documentary study based in the author's own records and other productions on his legacy. Among these sources are his intellectual production published in books, articles, speeches, letters, reports, in which are recorded his educational thought, the philosophical foundation and strategies that governed his actions. Apart from Anisian collection, we turn to studies of other intellectuals who have dedicated themselves to his legacy expressed in theses, dissertations, academic anthologies and biographies that supported this research. With these sources we have presented the trajectory of the author and the philosophical foundations that supported his proposal. Under this philosophy we have presented two Anisianas schools. The Carneiro Ribeiro Educational Center, which the organization was inspired by the operation of a child’s university with its class-school, school-park and the School City of Joy an experimental school with operation inspired by the experience of a city which innovated in the way of thinking of structure and work with children and teachers. The conclusion of this thesis points to the centrality of teaching in the organization of the Anisianas schools evidenced by the adopted theoretical framework and the composition of the school team that must derive from teaching. / Convênio: 545/2014

Such boards represent the people of the state, and the district, and they perform a large number of legally designated functions

Schmidt, Lena January 2023 (has links)
Swedish school law stipulates that the work of student health teams in schools should be mainly health promoting. However, earlier scientific studies and reports from authorities show that most schools work aren’t. The aim of this study is to investigate how principals in five upper secondary schools organize and lead the health promoting work and what challenges they experience in their leadership with regards to health promoting work. The study is qualitative, based on a content analysis of semi-structured interviews with five upper secondary principals in Sweden. The results of the study show that even though the principals have access to interprofessional health teams and good organizational structures the student health work in four out of five schools mainly focus on remedial work and that more must be done in order develop their health promoting work. More focus must be appointed to developing teaching and teachers and student health team personnel must work closely together. In addition, principals must integrate their health promoting work in the systematic quality work of the school.

Skolkuratorns betydande roll i grundskoleverksamheten : En intervjustudie om kuratorers uppfattningar kring arbetet, yrkesrollen och positionen i skolverksamheten / The significant role of the school counselor in elementary schools : An interview study on school counselors perception of work, professional role and position in the school operation

Malmgren, Hanna, Björk-Comét, Mathilda January 2024 (has links)
There is an understanding that the guidelines for school counselors in Swedish elementary schools lack the preciseness in what the school counselors should do to design and perform their work. Previous research shows that school counselors find it difficult to both establish their role but also to find their position in the school organization. Therefore, this interview study aims to present the perception of six school counselors in Sweden and discover how they feel about their work practice in elementary schools. We found that the main theme in the study was that the work was mainly affected by the management from the school board. Another surprising theme showed that the interviewees agreed that a better work description might help the counselor in general but wasn’t sure that it would help them in their current workplace. They asserted that a good relationship and cooperation with the school board and co-workers were much more important than a more detailed work description. Furthermore, the study also aims to compare their descriptions of the practical work that they perform, to the general guidelines for the work of school counselors. We found that their work in general was according to what is expected for the guidelines, but that in which way the work tasks were performed could differ from one another. Lastly, the study also contains the interviewees perceptions of their position in the school organization and which factors that simplifies or aggravates their practical work. The majority thought that they had established a clear role and position for themselves. However they agreed that many of the coworkers didn’t have the same perspective and understanding as themselves. Some of the interviewees also thought that the quantity of students they were dealing with, also made a difference on the quality of their work.

O movimento brasileiro de renovação educacional no início do século XXI / The Brazilian movement of educational renewal in the beginning of 21st century

Barrera, Tathyana Gouvêa da Silva 18 April 2016 (has links)
Given the provocation of some authors regarding the future of the school in 21st century (Canário, Barroso, Nóvoa), through a theoretical and empirical research, It was intended to identify, understand and analyze the network of Brazilian organizations that perform or promote changes in the current school model. In order to do so, it was identified four invariants in this model: time (Elias), space (Viñao Frago and Escolano), relations with knowledge (Tomaz Tadeu da Silva), and relations of power (Weber, Foucault), which in the liquid modernity (Bauman) undergo changes. Several current examples of ruptures within the invariants were attained through direct and indirect research, such as: interviews, visits to schools and projects, research on social networks, advertising materials and various cultural productions that deal with the subject. To understand the transformation processes as well the individual and collective work changes, we retrieved literature on action and social practice (Gimeno Sacristan), as well theories of industry analysis (Porter). In order to put this process into historical context, the current scenario was compared to the one of the progressive education movement from the 20th century. From the aforementioned analysis it was inferred the concept of educational movement, which led to the realization that is currently ongoing in Brazil an educational renewal movement leaded by schools, foundations, government agencies, startups and cultural producers. As the outcomes of this movement are still uncertain, here are presented just some of its trends. The literature points to the continuity of a resistance movement (Singer), along with a process of strengthening of the techniques of self-government (Ramos do Ó, Hamilton). Regarding this movement are observed changes that both superficially amend the school model as others that propose significant changes, resulting in new educational processes. Understanding school as an instrument of production of social structures (Bourdieu and Parsseron; Petitat; Vincent, Lahire and Thin), we bring evidences that profound changes in its shape imply Anthropological transformations, and we emphasize that the possible consequences of the movement depends on our collective choices, being our responsibility to build the still uncertain and never determinable future.
